Ive been coming to this place since it started in South McAllen by Thigpen Elementary.There Caldo de marisco is actually one of the best in the 956 area I should know.But as of today I realize that for hardworking people this place has gotten more expensive than others.I called for a large 7 mares caldo and it had gotten up to $20.00.Wow last time I order it was at $15.00 this was a few months ago it was for delivery and I could actually give a 5 dollar tip for the driver awesome person by the way.Please consider unless you all gave your employees a $2 an hr raise,this is understandable.But please consider, its the hard working people that keep our local restaurants and shops running,so higher profits is not good business decisions in the long run.Thank you for many years of great service,but will not be going back ,cant afford it no more. Its a great place for breakfast or lunch. Everything is delicious. Plus they are fast on serving your food and keeping your coffee fresh and warm while youre eating there. Plenty of parking.

Good food but I just went today 5 minutes ago I had a waitress who didnt place my order and it took me a long time, a lady arrived after me and I was already finishing eating so I asked for my takeout order. I ordered 2 plates of fajita hot dogs that are very good and filling, they are worth 12 dlls. The sweet tea they charge you like almost dlls. If you ask for a refill, it is 1 dollar extra in total. I came paying about 45 dlls. If you dont pay in cash, they charge you extra on the 4th. Percent with the tip and taxes increases to more. The service is good but it was expensive for me because it was only a few hot dogs. I will not return with 45 dlls like in chillis 2 plates of steak with stuffed potatoes, asparagus on the grill, green salad and a beer Im going to think twice before returning

I think this is the best Mexican restaurant in McAllen. You must know how to speak Spanish. Food is always well prepared and never greasy . Chips and picoso is authentic. Waitress staff are beautiful ladies and very polite. Lunch specials daily ..

The breakfast here was okay, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and for $5.99 you get 2 eggs, potatoes and beans (the bacon was extra). The eggs were cooked perfectly over medium, the salsa for the eggs was okay it had a good flavor, the potatoes were pretty simple a bit bland, the beans were also just okay, the bacon was paper thin but it was good. The tortillas both flour and corn are okay, the flour tortillas are homemade, not sure about the corn tortillas. Overall the breakfast food was just okay, nothing that stands out, the restaurant could use better decorations/design, the servers were very nice and attentive.

Never been there but Im here to post questions. why do valley restaurants think carnitas are marrano ? Isnt beef, CARNE ? Also, Al pastor is assumed its pork. I owned 3 ranches and Al pastor means cooked on hot charcoal, (thats how the pastor cooks, on hot charcoal, no matter what type of meat is on the grill.

I used to go to this place at least 5x a WK. I started getting my food delivered and something was always wrong. I complained and the cashier said that if I complained one more time, I wasnt allowed to order there anymore. I stopped ordering on my own. They lost one loyal customer over bad customer treatment. It was so bad I ordered a botana they show up without the botana, they literally just brought the chips, salsa, drinks, beans and rice SMH. Shame on the owner!!!
