When we go on Fridays the people are normally a lot nicer than the ones we encountered today. My daughter ordered a burrito and it fell apart. She went and asked for a bowl and the male with the beard asked her for what? She had to explain that her burrito fell apart just to be able to get one.

This place always hooks it up! We eat here a few times a month and they always have coupons and deals , the service is always great, and the portions are huge! My wife and I share a monster and we re stuffed, and usually we can both eat and get a drink for $10. They never skimp on any toppings like chipotlosers

I didnt eat there so I cant comment on the place. We ordered two burritos both the monster size. WOW what a disappointment. The cost made me feel like I was in Commiefornia. Twenty and twenty four dollars so a total of $43.92 was what it cost for the two, before delivery and tax. My burrito was supposed to have lettuce and sour cream along with the other ingredients, non existent. There was plenty of rice and beans plus a reasonable amount of the meat. The burrito was tiny. The other burrito was almost twice the size of mine and we got the same size. Freebirds is anything but free or even affordable. Needless to say I will not ever be going back there again.

I don t usually post bad reviews because I understand that sometimes things happen. However when I see an issue happen consistently that changes things. We used to eat at this location all the time and loved it. However there is one employee in particular that I think may be in leadership of some kind that skimps BIG TIME on your portions. If you want to pay $15 for a monster bowl half full of rice be my guest but that s what you ll get. I can make that at home for 2 cents thank you.

Freebirds is one of my favorites, but the guy behind the counter, maybe a manager, at the Tyler Tx location definitely shorting people on food, and micro managing his people pretty sure he was counting the pinto beans as the young lady put them in the bowl he made her nervous and created just a weird energy for everyone

3 males servers pulled the weight while the female sat in the back, after being asked to help she had a horrible attitude to the customers. It was so bad I asked if they were letting her go for that. They said they were stuck with her while she works off her two weeks notice. They worked so hard and took care of the very long line. The guys felt so bad about her behavior they gave us a discount. I feel horrible that they have to endure working with that. We will be back but not for two weeks

First time visiting. Service was good. The food did not live up to the expectations or the prices. I got a steak burrito and it was one of the blandest burritos I ve ever had and I put a good amount of fresh cold toppings on it. Overall it wasn t horrible but it wasn t great either. Chipotle may not have as much of a variety but they make it up in flavor and freshness. Just because there s more choices doesn t mean you re getting quality food. The chips are pre bagged so I doubt they re made in house and I was told the guacamole is made fresh but I have my doubts on that as well. I could be wrong. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the food really wasn t anything to write home about. Lastly the atmosphere was nice and modern but the custom foil decor from what I can assume is from customers is a little tacky and trashy imo. May come back for a second try just to see how the bowl option is but first impressions weren t the greatest.

If you can spend money anywhere, just come here! I swear me and my husband came here one day and came back the very next day. Its truly an amazing restaurant. This was our first time here and we loved the burritos. While eating we saw one of the line staff spraying something on the line area right infront of the open ingredients. She sprayed this liquid and I could see the mist that went over the salsa trays as she wiped down the counter. After seeing that my wife and I looked at each other and pitched our food and left. All I can hope is that no one gets sick from whatever she was spraying to clean the counter.

Good food but the serving sizes have just gotten so small. The tortillas that they used to use for their Halfbird (half sized burrito) is now the size that they use for their Freebird (normal sized) for more $$$ than it used to be. So less food for more cost. I understand food cost is high right now but its pretty sad because this used to be the place to go for burritos. Chipotle it is I guess.

Best burrito place ever!!! It doesn t get better than this. So many things to choose from to make burritos huge and get super full. Also lots of sauces to add in burrito or just to dip in. The regular sized one is good but the monster is definitely the best to make you stuffed. We just had the regular sizes today but from now on it s always going to be the monster burrito. Also the queso is very good. Inside was very clean and staff are quick and super friendly. Make sure you get the app to get points towards your meals and good coupons to your email. Owner reached out after I just left rating so leaving a full review. Ive loved Freebirds since the first time I ate at the one on Greenville Ave in Dallas. So happy to find one in Tyler after moving back to East Texas. I would say they give Chipotle a run for their money but no comparison. They blow Chipotle out of the water. Dont go there with little appetite, they going to fill you up. Chips and salsa or queso would make great snack if not that hungry. Warning they dont play on amount of food you get. Never had the monster, might have to fast before trying one that size. I usually get a bowl and tortilla on side, recommend the cayenne tortilla. I add so many toppings is hard to wrap and eat as burrito. Its doable but just easier in bowl. Throw in some mixed greens to make it healthy . The cilantro lime rice is delicious, chicken and pork are my favorite meats there. Brisket is good but not worth the price difference to me, as good as the chicken is. Had green chili pork last time and dont remember it being so good might knock chicken from being my favorite. It sounds weird on burrito or bowl but you have to try their BBQ sauce, best sauce they have. Habanero, death sauce, house salsa, tomatillo, and creamy jalapeno are all great too. But try the BBQ youll love it. Dont forget to grab a delectable monster brownie for later, usually too full to eat with meal.

The guys at freebirds are always pretty cool, their food is on point and they always have a good attitude. The price is in line with the amount of food you get and the quality is better than that of other similar places. I always get the monster burrito and never go hungry. The balance of protein to filler is usually pretty fair and makes for a well rounded burrito.

The service was good and the menu options where good. However I am very taste oriented and unfortunately while not tasting bad, just bland. I had a chicken burrito, with lime rice, sour cream and cheese. I have to say that the low carb tortilla is a great option and tastes good, it s not worth $2 extra. The man who served is seemed irritated with its, and gave no guidance to how the process is after I told him it was my first time. He asked us our choices and when he stand out up, we paid over 47 dollars for 2 burritos and 2 drinks. He did not tell us we were getting anything that cost extra. I was drinking lemonade, and they dumped it after my first serving. The tea was empty, and the general atmosphere just felt uninviting.

Husband got a chicken bowl. Serving size is about half of what it used to be. He said selections were very limited. Prices are average but beware servings are small. Edit: I ve ordered to go several times, picked up myself or got delivery with UberEats and there s always something wrong with the orders. It s usually always missing part if not all the queso but I keep hoping they get the order right. Food is ok, service is trash. Second time coming inside to pick up a curbside order. The general manager Trey has the best customer service! Tonight I walked in with my mom and son and he 1 not only gave us hot water to warm his bottle with. But he also remade our whole order (which was a lot) because my mom and I put the jalapeño sauce in our order. Fore warning the jalapeño sauce was too spicy lol. He had the best attitude and was so nice to us while my son was crying because he was so tired and, he never once made us feel like we were to much or that we were asking to much of him. I gave this place 5 stars a few years back, use to be my favorite for years. Has been a few months since coming here. Food was just ok then, but we didnt like their meat chopped so small or over seasoned. Place was pretty clean then. Went in two days ago. 9-21-22, place was empty at dinner time. Could barely eat their food so way over spiced, over cooked. Place was dirty everywhere, even smelled bad. Server acted like he had been there forever but never seen him before. The ice machine had moldy looking crud where the ice comes out. Everything grimey just not cleaned well. They were not very busy, no one was cleaning, all in there looked pretty new and confused. No wonder they had no business at dinner time. Higher Management needs to get in their and straighten it out.

Put my queso sideways in my bag it spilled all over my order and the wouldnt replace it I just wanted my queso that I paid for replaced and the monster burrito that I got was the same size as the half bird I bought with the same ingredients in it. Staff doesnt care and will not help at all

The chips that your restaurant gives out now is very bad. Just received an order and the bag literally has enough chips to fill a kids lunch bad of chips. We did not order a kid meal. Utterly ridiculous!

Over $45 for 3 people. Im pretty sure we were over charged because they charged 2 extras and we didnt ask for queso or guacamole, or anything double. The bowls were about half full. The service could have been much better. No greeting, they werent busy but the employees were talking amongst themselves and we ruined their chat. The gentleman that charged us was very dismissive and rude.

Great service. Good food. Enjoyed being able to sit outside with my daughters emotional support animal instead of having to eat in the car. Only issue we had was that there wasnt enough of either of the chicken options. My daughter has to settle for a combo of chicken and steak, and it wasnt even the chicken she wanted. We would have had to wait another 7-8 minutes on the chicken, but my food and her goats food was already done. We will definitely come again, and hopefully she can get her bowl the way she wants it next time.

I never heard of Freebirds but walking in it reminds me of Chipotle. A much better version of Chipotle. Customer service was great and the food is awesome. I dont get to Tyler all that often but when I do, I will definitely visit this location again.

Customer service was very polite. Very cool atmosphere. Everything seem to be very clean, especially the bathrooms. The only thing I was disappointed in was the amount of rice and beans compared to all the other items I requested for my burrito. The rice and beans made up at least 85% of my burrito.

Ehh, it was ok I guess. Nothing spectacular. $34 for 1 burrito, 1 bowl and 2 drinks is pretty steep for ok food. To be completely honest, Taco Bell had better flavor. Most likely won t be back.
