Second time eating here. Waitress didn t have a smile or a good attitude. Food is bland, and came out within minutes after ordering. My husband is super laid back and never complains but he wasn t happy with the experience either. We asked for ketchup twice never got it. The very sweet hostess got some for her when I went to ask. Waitress just seemed irritated by everything. Oh, no lemonade either which is weird to me.

This was my favorite tex mex joint Theyve Improved themselves out of a customer. No kids menus? Nothing but soda to drink? I guess kids arent welcome. Chopped down the menu to nothing, removed my favorite dish? Hell, they might as well start serving warm salsa.. it was fun while it lasted. Kid-friendliness: This place used to have a fun little kids menu with crayons that helped keep the kids entertained, no more. They dont offer milk, or juice or anything for kids to drink except soda. Doesnt seem like they want kids in here.

Had lunch here yesterday & expected the food to taste the same as usual, good. I was surprised to find everything tasted better than normal. Don Benitos has always been good but today it was great. I was told they are buying fresher & higher quality product & it shows, Great Job! Ill return more often now that the food is even better than before.

I ordered two wet burritos and they were pure chili, if I wanted that Id go to Walmart and buy it myself. Not a good buy , way overpriced for what I got. I fed it to my dogs. $39.00 got two Taco Bell size chilli coated trash. I want a refund.will not go back nor will I encourage others to treat the loved ones to this place., they will be disappointed.

My wife and I went out this Friday for the first time since having our first kid. Leaving him alone with anyone that wasnt one of us was terrifying, but we were determined to enjoy ourselves. As avid gardeners we took note of the many healthy plants adorning their quaint walls adding a wonderful atmosphere. Every section feels private enough for conversation and open enough for easy egress. I cannot compliment this location enough We arrived late on a Friday night only a couple hours before close to find we were among a few small groups in the whole restaurant adding a very private and cozy feel to our night Julie our server was attentive quick and polite. I really enjoyed her service and told her as much to which she humbly replied we were her only table and made it easy on her. We had a wonderful night and successful first date. Thank you Julie we will see you next time Parking: The parking lot is pretty cramped with most of the spots very close together and lined directly in front of the door. Not the best place to have a flat tire Kid-friendliness: They have optional kids menu and booster seats if need be. We went to have a brief respite from childcare but the hospitable staff will be more than helpful about setting your childs place as well

Had the lunch Fajitas combo (chicken and beef) and every Mexican restaurant knows when bring out the food. The pico degayo sour cream and guacamole. Should go on a different plate. So the beans and rice should be hot. Cause they were cold. I just thought it would be better than that for the price of it.

We had ok service. My fajitas came out warm, not hot. My husbands fajitas came out cold. They told him it was because they were waiting on mine to cook and his got cold. My husband decided not to even eat them because he was not paying for cold food at almost $15.00 a plate. He didnt get them reheated because he didnt want them to come back burned. It will be a while before we come back, if we do.

they were so nice here to sit us down and feed us right before closing!! it was an accident we try to never walk in anywhere 30min before closing but the hours were actually listed incorrectly on here (we suggested the edit, if it hasnt gone thru yet just be aware they close at 9pm on Tues - prob Sun-Thur, forgot to ask sorry) Anyway great atmosphere and also very clean!! I ate lunch there before, but my husband wanted to try their dinner menu. We went on a busy Friday evening, but were seated right away. I really enjoyed their three enchilada dinner, it was delicious . Our waiter was very attentive and quick, and our food came quickly too! My only complaint was the noise level. They have wooden seating chairs that scrape real loudly on the concrete floors.

My family always loved coming here over other Mexican restaurants until after church December 3rd. It started with no plates or napkins for the Chips and salsa. Then my frozen Margherita had a roach in it half way down! Next the granddaughters pizza came whole, no slices cut, my steak served without knives for cutting. And my son in laws taco salad shell was rubbery stale!! Geez! They took the Margherita off my bill and I dared not order another frozen drink. The manager never checked on us or apologized. We had to flag down servers during this ordeal each time we had a problem. We did not make a scene but maybe we should have!! At the end they brought a plate of sopapillas for our trouble. We didnt want dessert and there were no saucers to eat them on anyway. Our lunch dished were still scattered on the table, not removed. I wish I had taken pictures. I guess it caught me by surprise.

My family and I have frequented this establishment since way back when they were called Cada Ole. The wait staff are the friendliest and have been like an extended family to us for the longest time. The food has always been excellent. The seating is far better than most Tyler restaurants where they pack you in like sardines and they can accomodate both large and small groups. The price range to portion size is more than adequate. They will receive my patronage as long as they are in business.

Ummm, its been awhile since we have been here. I tried an old favorite tilapia vercruz, the fish was sautéed and smothered in creamy sauce, accidentally had shrimp added (different dish served) the sautéed veggies were too greasy and burned so the waitress brought a side salad. The fish was delicious! My son loved his Carne asada and my mom enjoyed her tres amigos! The waitress did a gr8 job, not her fault they had new cooks, and substituted a salad for the veggies and made it gr8.

We have now tried about 8 Mexican restaurants since moving to Tyler. Before this our favorite was Mercados. We almost didnt try this. We showed up on Sunday at 10:45 when it opened and not a car in sight. Not a good sign. But we went in and the fajitas were great. The chips and salsa were good, but not the best ever. The white queso was very good (but just so so the last time we went). But, the fajitas were so good. We tried the nachos last time. Wont make that mistake again. But, we will be back

Very great service, very nice friendly service, the atmosphere is awesome but some of the full size booths r very small, as in no room for ur feet without stepping on others (1½ft width under the table). Tables r a tad bit small and there was me, my wife and a friend. We had a highchair for one of our daughters and our 3yo sat next to one of us, very very tight for a booth thats supposed to fit 4 grown adults. But food is amazing, they bring it to u super fast and hot, salsa and green dip is always a must and they arent shy with it. Never once had to ask for our waitress, she was always there. Place was clean including restrooms. U should give this place at least one chance. I dont think anyone would regret it. We love this place. Been coming here since it was Casa Olé. Kid-friendliness: They have coloring pages and crayons for kids and the kids menu has lots to choose from and the prices for what u get isnt bad at all.

The food and service were great. The problem we had was trying to pay. There was something going on with their machines and they wouldnt take Regions cards. I had taken my sister for lunch and shes special needs, because it would not accept our regions card the manager wanted me to leave my sister there and run to an ATM and bring the money back and I was like Im sorry but thats not an option. And this was all through the server by the way, the manager wasnt coming out to talk to us. When I told our server that I couldnt leave her he said he would speak to the manager again. While we were waiting I called my husband, he has a card with a different bank for emergencies and I made sure I could use that card before just trying it. It took 15 minutes for the manager to come over and when I said I have one more card I can try she rolled her eyes and watched as the server tried it. Thankfully it worked but the manager rolled her eyes again, huffed and walked off. Not a word said to u. No sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. Acted like we had done this in purpose to try and get a free meal... At least thats how I felt. We will not be returning despite the food and good servers.

05/13/23: Google keeps asking me to update my review, so... I added the 5th star to food above. Dont know what else to say. Since 11/09/22 update we have returned several times for our taco & chalupa, chips & salsa/green sauce. It still is soooo good. Same waitress as the last several visits, so thats another good vital sign of a business is that the wait staff is not revolving, the company probably prides itself in how it treats its staff as well as the customers. Great job 11/09/22 update: something has changed and were not sure what. The food was good, people are still just as nice as ever, service is still good, but they have made some changes to the green sauce and its not like it has been for years. Id be interested to know if ownership has changed in the last 6 months or not. We will still return because the food is good but we miss the green sauce. 03/2022: We love this restaurant, even before the name change. Weve been eating here for 10+ years. Even if we just come in to eat a taco and chips. Staff has always been excellent

Our waitress always comes with a smile on her face. Very helpful if you need help with a menu item! Bags up any leftovers ready to warm later, chips and salsa included!! Kid-friendliness: And they have good Chicken Fried Steak with fried and gravy!

9 months ago, I gave this place 5 stars. Tonight, it was terrible. Margarita was sweet and barely had any alcohol, beer came undressed after specifically requesting it, and queso came out cold. To Amp up the maragrita, we requested another shot, later resulting in a $17 margarita... we asked our waiter if the white queso was good she responded no idea but said the regular queso was, so we ordered that. Upon arrival, the queso was cold. After some time had passed, we got our waiters attention and informed her about the queso (only to get another luke warm bowl of queso) and then, to find out, our waiter was the manager and bartender all in one.. long ticket times on everything and generally a bad experience.

The food here is excellent!! The service is even better!! The waiter was extremely attentive and had stuff for before we even asked. the sampler is a ton of food!! Bring your appetite. Good chips and salsa.
