This place is a must-visit! The ramen is amazing rich broth and perfect noodles. Don t skip the chirashi bowl; it s loaded with fresh fish and tastes fantastic. And the spicy chicken karaage, so crispy and juicy! Great vibes all around. Highly recommend!

My family and I had been searching for a fine Japanese ramen and sushi restaurant since moving to the North Dallas area a couple of years ago, and we finally found our go-to spot. The food, service everything was excellent. We loved everything we ordered (tuna rolls, miso spicy ramen, etc.), and my little son also loved his tonkatsu and udon. Highly recommend!

I am a regular customer with my kid for udon, donkatsu, and mochi ice cream. Donkatsu is very crispy and tasty. All the adults and kids I have been with were satisfied with the taste. Even the side salad is really great with sesame dressing. I wish they could serve more. Pokes have a variety of taste with healthy ingredients, some are spicy and some are not, so you can choose from whichever you want. Servers are kind and respond promptly, which is really important to me because I am impatient. The more I visit, the more I am satisfied.

I dont know whats happened to this place since it opened. First - one slice of meat? I can get more meat from a Taco Bell taco than what I get in my ramen. When this place first opened the portion was amazing. The broth development is gone as well. You can tell that there is no more love given to developing the depth of flavor their ramen once had. Now you have to add spicy oil or soy sauce to get flavor. At that point, you can just go get Pho. Also, the ramen noodles itself have changed. So sad. We used to eat at here weekly in the cooler months.

For vegan people would not recommend this place. They don t have options and had only one vegan ramen which wasn t flavorful at all and was extremely salty. Vegetarian options: Very less option. Only one vegan ramen that too doesn t taste good. I have tried multiple places with vegan options but this wasn t flavorful and excessive salty.

Amazing little find! I had such a hard time trying to decide what to eat! The Mura hand roll was AMAZING! The lunch bento box was significantly larger than expected. I ordered the chicken bento. The seasoning on the chicken was inconsistent as some pieces were very salt while others were underseasoned. Only a 4 for service because waitress spent several minutes talking to wait staff while I had no water. Only 4 on atmosphere because it was very dark and they have something resembling a sushi bar but it goes straight into a wall. 100% will consider coming here again if Im in the area. Update: was in the area again and dropped in for two rolls and Gyoza. Gyoza looked nice but not the best Ive had. Rolls were great and server was very attentive this time. Great job!

This food was delicious. I will definitely be going back to get the karaage and to try another ramen. The pork cutlet that my husband got was delicious too. The serving sizes were huge too. I got extra noodles and that seemed like another serving size. Didnt see the whole establishment since we sat in the front. Played Kpop, some old songs and new ones, which I loved.

Went during the week for lunch. It wasnt busy and we were seated right away. Nice atmosphere. Service was great, our waiter came by and checked on us often. Food was great as well. My only suggestion is I wished they served the appetizer before the main meal and served our meals together. Or at least at similar times. We got one main dish first, then our appetizer, lastly the other main dish. There was a period of time between each delivery. So I waited for the other meal to arrive out of respect. I did not want to eat in front of someone waiting for food. Im sure they wanted to serve us food as fast as its being made.

This used to be one of my favorite ramen restaurants; but lately their service has fallen off. I ordered the takoyaki appetizer and it came frozen! I don t mind reheated frozen food, but I don t want to eat it frozen! I also asked for the heart attack but was given an avocado appetizer. The waitress brought the appetizers and immediately left without asking if everything is alright. My noodles had also been cut, I never asked them to be cut so I don t know why they did that. I also asked for the spicy chili sauce and I never got it. They also forgot to give me a spoon. I also wanted a to go box but I never got the chance because my waitress never came back until I had to pay the check. And the cherry on top, I use the Fetch app to scan my receipts so imagine my surprise when I scan my receipt later that night and somebody had already scanned it, I m assuming my waitress! I m never coming back.

Solid Ramen restaurant authentic ramen atmosphere, menu has all your favorites! Even a vegitarian version which looked delicious and my wife said it was yummiest she has had recently. I had the shoyu and I think this was one of my favorites. Chicken was marinated and had a nice sweet umami taste. Broth was perfect, not salty. Noodles where nice and chewy, hot but the right temperature to start slurping. They also have other menu items including some rice bowls and sushi the staff were super friendly and made the experience even better. The fact that this place is right here in Flower mound means I dont have to drive all the way to downtown Dallas for great ramen.

We loved this place! It has a very small and intimate feeling to it which we appreciated. The fried gyoza was some of the best I ve ever eaten and I order it all the time. The egg and chashu were a little overcooked. And thats where the complaints end. The noodles,broth, and seasoning were perfect. And the pricing was extremely fair, (especially on the lunch specials). The staff was friendly and fast. And unlike other restaurants Ive eaten at in the area, were extremely capable of multi tasking. This is one of those cases where the the minor sins were overwhelmed and overshadowed by gracious service and great flavor. Other restaurants in the area should take notes.

This likely wont get a response, from anyone at Ramen Mura but today was a sad day. We usually would go once a month maybe twice. Ordered our edamame and when it came out we were confused as it was just basic salted edamame. Then we came to realize the old chasu bowl and other bowl items we liked on the menu were gone. We would frequent this place because our service had always been consistent and the food tasted solid. With Hibachi bowls replacing the don-bowls this place lost a bit what made it special and became yet another heavily Americanized Asian place. We chose the Pork Katsu (cutlet) and realized the flavor of the breading and oils to used to fry seemed different and salty. The sauce that came with it also seemed to have a different flavor than before, seemed... weaker/tame? I understand the idea may be to capture more customers with these changes. However, truth be told as a fairly loyal customer if I want hibachi Ill go to hibachi. If I want basic edamame Ill buy a $3 bag and add sea salt. If I want a specialty cutlet Ill drive to Krazy Katsu. If I want sushi, Ill go to a specialty sushi place. Lastly, if I want Ramen... I will go somewhere else. What made this place special was that it wasnt just another generic Asian restaurant. It had the dishes that werent in other locations truly giving it character. While the flavors werent always exact it still gave those reminders of staying in Japan with my wife. Thank you for the meals of the past, but those will be our last here. Even if the menu changes back, there will be no way to know since I wont be checking. Good luck in the future Ramen Mura. P.S. Your servers have always been kind to us. Thank you.

Went yesterday for dinner and was not too impressed. First of all it was SO HOT inside that it was uncomfortable. The staff was extremely awkward and did not pay attention to what we ordered at all. Me and the other person I went with both ordered Spicy versions of the ramen we wanted and were highly disappointed. They forgot we even ordered the spicy versions and we had to ask for the sauce on the side which was just oil... The ramen itself was very bland and oily, meat was overcooked and the egg was completely hard boiled. The Spicy Karaage had zero spice to it at all and the gyoza were pretty sub par. Portion sizes were decent but I will not be coming back to this location as I have had much better ramen elsewhere. Defiantly not worth the money in my opinion.

I want to give this place 5 stars so bad! Everything that weve had from here is consistently delicious! We used to go to place in Dallas that was authentic and this place is way better! The only things that weve had that werent so great were any of their appetizers that are spicy. The spicy sauce is just not good at all. The reason we didnt give 5 start is because there is always something missing from to-go orders. I mean always at least one thing. Last time we were missing the shrimp from the shrimp udon soup. This time were missing the pork from the Shoyu ramen. I mean if were paying over $15 for ramen, the protein is a must! Even little things like sauces or ginger and Wasabi are missing. It never fails... Either way, this place is yummy and we will continue to eat here!

Good but not great ramen which is why i didnt give them 1 star. I am allergic to egg which is a $1.50 addition. Asked for bok choy instead of the egg which is a $.50 (net $1 profit for the business) addition and was met with rude remarks by 2 of their workers telling me that they just work here, what do they want me to do. Ive had multiple great ramen places in the DFW that not only accommodate allergies but also have good customer service. this place neither accomodates allergies nor has good attitude about it. Solid tonkotsu and miso ramen options. They also have takoyaki, which is hard to come by outside of Japan. Sushi isnt incredible, but nothing negative to say. Their bento boxes are an excellent deal. This place gave me food poisoning ! First time I ordered food from here it was amazing. This time it smelled like trash and tasted off. First time at Ramen Mura and had the best experience. The food was amazing - got the Tonkotsu Ramen and the Chasu Bun. For dessert, I got the Green Tea ice cream and Yuzu Japanese Cheescake(highly recommend!). For the drink, I got the melon creamy soda(also recommend). Definitely ask for recommendations if you re not sure what to get! The service was great - the staff truly cares about your experience and makes you feel welcomed. The ramen is great! Im not a chasu person, so Im okay with it being different from other ramen places, and the broth is perfect! Its is a traditional creamy tonkatsu that is not greasy, oily, or heavy whatsoever! Its refreshing and rich! So much flavor but not overwhelming! The noodles are super satisfying as well! So this is bitter sweet as we have been regulars and the service has dramatically changed in the last few months. We came in at 830pm . According to the door sign and website the official close time is 930pm on Friday and Saturdays . the place was empty 2 guys and a girl servers were sitting on a booth toward the back talking. We stood at the entrance for longer than normal as the restaurant was totally empty and eventually one of the guys sat as down. The vibe was negative and unwelcoming. He tossed the menus accosts the table. I am not going to list or go into detail about his overall service, however I will sum it up with this . He truly seemed bothered with our presence rushed us for the order .sounded condescending you get the picture. When we got our food he delivered everything at once including the ice cream dessert . ??? Don t really get that. The rest of the staff could not wait to get out of work and used strong odor floor cleaner all over the place which killed whatever little dinner experience we still had. Leaving we had to move the broom and a duster from the front entrance as they blocked the exit. I wish I could tell you this was our first time experiencing this type of service here sadly this would be the 3rd occurrence; each somewhat the same overall unwelcome feel. About 3 weeks ago . Similar story 830pm on Saturday this time the girl helped us . Same shenanigans . Now we personally met and had super great service from the lady owner . On multiple occasions . We stuck with this restaurant thru COVID and I wish for her to read this and hopefully fix this chronic issue. For now our Ramen Noodles days are done. Will not be returning.

This is my fave spot to come to for ramen. 10/10 this is some of the best ramen I ve had in this area. They have a new drink to try for summer this here for a limited time but it s good Af. Always get the spicy karage for an appetizer and the mochi for dessert.

Cannot get enough of this place. Folks see Ramen and think of the packaged cheap stuff from the store, but thats like comparing rocks to a Granny Smith for baking a pie. Hands down on of my favorite places in the metro to eat at. Ika Geso is perfection, every time. Kuro Ramen is my personal favorite. The squid ink looks odd if youve never had it, but it adds depth to the flavor and holds an array of health benefits.

Bottomline: Really great sushi, super yummy cooked options for kids, quality and service A++ !! This was our first time here- just happened to check it out on a whim on a Friday around 5 pm. We dined in, quite a few people inside, restaurant layout is pretty narrow, so if youre still concerned about social distancing, ordering out would be the way to go. And I did notice a lot of people coming to pickup orders too. Most of the tables are setup for 2-3 people. For bigger parties, probably good idea to call ahead and reserve. The servers were friendly, attentive, and efficient. Table/restaurant/restroom all clean and well kept. Pricing is slightly higher compared to other similar establishments, but the flavor, quality, portions, and service definitely make up for this. I ordered California rolls and the fried chicken (R2 on menu) for the kids (elementary age). I was feeling like sushi and asked the server for a recommendation based on my preference. Ordered the White Dragon roll as she suggested. Wasnt really sure what to expect since the sushi locally has been pretty hit or miss. But Im so glad I tried it because it was REALLY good!! So good I actually ordered another. The chicken was also really delicious and came out quickly even though they were pretty busy. Their menu has a good mix of cooked Japanese food, sushi, and of course, ramen. I didnt try the ramen this time, but will be back to try it. And I definitely will come back for more sushi!!

So Ive been to many ramen places but this place was by far the worst... I got the shoyu ramen and for one the ramen was under cooked, and when I asked for no bean sprouts they left them in there, and when I asked about it they said they cant do anything about it since I already got the food. The broth is very salty tastes like it was made a day before. While me and my girlfriend were dining we saw a cockroach just skimming its way into the kitchen but we were so disgusted that we didnt say anything about it. By far one of my worst ramen experiences Ill stick to Hanabi ramen thank you very much.

(Note: I believe Ramen Mura has gone through some menu changes, so these may not be consistent with past/future menus) The service was great (Sam and Enna). For the spicy tonkatsu ramen, the ramen broth tastes like powder ramen base from the store, the noodles are overcooked (almost instant ramen like), the pork chashu leaves a bad aftertaste that makes you want to drink water, and the eggs are hard-boiled. The spicy paste uses fermented beans to make it, which adds another bad aftertaste to the ramen. In terms of appetizers, the karaage has an old oil taste, which they try to hide in a sweet-spicy gochujang-like sauce for the spicy version that makes it taste like something out of Panda Express. The takoyakis interior is slightly too mushy, but the exterior seems over fried, which makes me think its store bought. The sushi isnt bad, and the fried squid legs are really good (maybe the only thing that I would go back for).

We Ordered Kimchi ramen, spicy tonkatsu Ramen and a crunchy roll sushi. Ramen were just ok. Salty broth and the pork that came with tonkatsu was not done right. Had a different smell to it. Giving 1 star for their service and the other one for the sushi.

Ordered ramen to go. I did not get the name, the person taking my order rushed me. When I got there I asked about the different dishes such as the taste in the Tamari. I asked for a taste of it to see about ordering it. He dismissed me and wasnt very helpful as this is my first time getting ramen at this place. The portion size for $10.99 is not worth it. Flavor was alright, just basic ramen.

It was a pleasure to finally be able to eat here. My goodness the food was amazing. My family and I have gone to many ramen places in DFW, in my opinion, only Ramen Hakata comes close to Ramen Mura. Everyone else, not even close! Definitely coming back here next time we are in Flower Mound!

Stopped in to try it. I ve been disappointed in the sushi around this area since moving from Highland Park and working at Nobu Dallas; so I gave it a shot. Boy, was I not disappointed at all. This place knows what they are doing. The sashimi was the ultimate test. I ve had sashimi that came straight from Japan on a overnight flight, so the bar of good to great raw fish is really high to meet. The sashimi was great quality, no smell, no slim and the one thing I look for is artificial coloring (pink) leeching off the salmon and on to the rice. I saw none of that. ( poor quality salmon will leave actual color pinky-orange on the rice ) this is color added to their diet. Not good. Anyways, I am bringing my children here to nom nom on the ramen. It looks delicious from what I could see as others dined on it.

They have the absolute BEST vegan ramen! Great quality for the price. I recommend this place to my friends often. That was the one and ONLY time I had a problem with the service at this otherwise amazingly quality restaurant. They must have made sure their servers changed their habits! Excellent turn around. I absolutely love the food delicious and top quality. However, especially given the spike in COVID19 cases, you need to enforce mask wearing with servers. I saw one waiter serving us & prepping take out with their mask under their nose. Another server wasn t bothering to wear one at all. ...And this wasn t for a few moments, it was for the entirety of our dine-in stay. Just because it s after 7pm, doesn t mean health & safety doesn t matter. Since I made the last review, I haven t seen that happen again. Great job taking the advice of your reviewers!
