In response to Ms. Lyons review, I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy since you were very happy until my staff informed you there was no retainer left to return. You did not have to hire another attorney to finish the case, as we entered an Agreed Final Decree of Divorce for you. What you did hire another attorney for was an Enforcement of that decree initiated by your ex-husband. What you agreed to in your decree is what you agreed to in mediation and you even later stated under oath that your settlements were a just and right division of your estate and in the best interest of the children. We went to mediation because it is almost always required by the court and made any agreement irrevocable.

WARNING : Especially Woman of Color. I would not recommend this law office to anyone new at using an attorney for any reason. I was originally grateful that they took my case, but in fact they just took my money. I used them for a divorce and custody agreement with my ex-husband. Lets just say, Im divorced, but had to hire another attorney for the finishing of my custody cases. Diane represented me allegedly. We went to mediation where she just sat there and smiled while I the client discovered the negotiation without counsel. She sat there giving little to no advice. This has hurt me financially as a single mother. I got no child support alimony, any of my ex-husbands 401 K, and now no retainer return after being divorced since September of 2022. Save your money. Hire someone who at least will talk and not tell you to go to mediation so she can sit and do nothing. I will upload picture of my name and hers so she cant say Im not her client like they did the last woman of color.

As a mediator, I get to see attorneys in action as they represent their clients. I really appreciate when I get to work with the attorneys at the Heindel Law Office. Diane and Jeff are strong advocates. They know the law. They know the judges and how they will treat the issues. And they are great at counseling their clients about the real risks and benefits of proceeding to trial. They have always been well prepared to address the issues in our interactions and are zealous advocates for their clients. And, of course, no law office can operate without great staff team members. For off the wall help and being lost at what to do or even start explaining whàts going on I called Diane Heindels office. A man answered and not knowing how or what to do plus being stressed out to the max, he started talking to me in a very calming voice asked a couple questions, I answered and asked a few of my own. He set my nerves at ease, instantly felt calm in what in my mind was chaos and fear. Im going to give a few hours up to a couple of days to see what happens. Then I know we are going to visit with Diane Heindel. I give 100 stares for what her office has already did for me.

A fantastic legal team! She worked diligently, professionally, and the communication between her and her team is outstanding! My case began with my ex husband trying to sue for custody and a whole mess of bogus allegations. In the end, he was ordered to pay more child support, reimburse for medical expenses, go to counseling, and did not receive anything he was sueing for. I have already recommended her to some friends, and they hired her on the spot! Mrs. Heindel is very kind, very knowledgeable, and I will recommend her again and again!

Diane and her associate Jeff have been amazing attorneys for my family. They have handled both me and my wifes divorces, including one case where Jeff flew from Tyler to El paso to handle a family law matter for me. I have always gotten exactly what I expected from this office. She is completely upfront with what she can do and cannot do, therefore there is no confusion in me expecting one thing and getting another. We always agree on intended outcomes up front, and she always delivered exactly what she said she was going to deliver. She has also been great to work with financially. We agreed on a down payment and a payment plan, which I stuck to. She will always handle my family law matters in the future. Diane has given me exactly what I wanted on 6 completely different cases, 2 divorces, 3 child custody cases, and one small real estate issue. Diane may not be the cheapest attorney in town, but you get what you pay for, and shes well worth the money spent. Diane has no issue going up against the big boys, and producing results that remind me why I hired her. One thing about Jeff that me and my wife both liked was the fact that he is a very large man. When my wife was worried about her ex, another large man, we had concerns about him trying to intimidate one of us, (both of us are very short), but with having a 66 (just a guess here) Jeff around, we no longer had those concerns. 5 start for sure!

Although polite and nice, she didnt work much on our case. She lied to the other party and then charged for hours she didnt work. She also forgot to tell us about a court date that we missed! We reported her to the state bar. It turns out the state bar is only concerned if she is sober, which she unfortunately is.

Hard to get to meet with Diane. Her husband handles everything and you have to repeat. Terrible about returning calls or getting information from them. We had to change attorneys as we found out that her husband had missed deadlines and didnt provide info we needed. WEve sent numerous emails/left numerous phone messages and no response to get some of our paperwork returned.
