Fantastic option in the RGV. Local joint, $5.99 hand ground burger, hand cut fries. Great mexican hotdog. Worth the short drive up. We will be back next season. Live music some days.

We are normally regular weekly customers at Buckhorns. However since were Canadian winter Texans and due to Covid-19 border restrictions this year, we are not in the area. That said, Buckhorns has fantastic food with daily specials. The burgers are especially tasty and really fill you up. The Panchos, Smoked Brisket and chicken wings are also all great meals to die for. The staff are very friendly and always have a smile on their faces. We really miss not being there this year, but plan to be back as soon as possible. Keep up the great work Janie and see you next year.

The brisket sausage sandwich was really good and really big!! The meat was moist, and the macaroni was really creamy with lots of flavor. The fries are homemade, and the flavor says it all. The service was excellent, and the waitress was attentive. They have $6 burger lunch specials on Wednesday. Cant wait to.come back and try other dishes!! Parking: Plenty of parking available

Nice place to enjoy a nice cold beverage and good food. The friendly environment is the place where everyone knows everyone and the new guest gets greeted by the establishment owner....the waitresses are very nice and friendly, very attentive. Its the place to be at. Kid-friendliness: And yes .... kid friendly. We take our grandson with us, and he is also greeted with a smile.... there is a waiteres she a beautiful person that goes out of her way for our grandson.. reason we go back

I ordered the mushroom swiss burger with bacon and it was delicious. Homemade meat it seemed like great taste and I ordered a backed potato it was ok. Only downfall was that I noticed something in my drink when I got home when I added water to my cup there was something black on the bottom of the cup looked like mold.

I only got wings and it was my first time for that, but they were not that great. Good size and cooked well but no flavor. I got lemon pepper but no lemon pepper. Also got mild flavor wings they were great. Their carrots and celery werent very crispy. I pick them up and the place seemed fun and inviting. But overall I wouldnt get wings from there anymore. Possibly ill go there and drink a beer. Btw, parking is bad. but no food unless the quality improves.

Very good food! Excellent service! Reasonable prices! The brisket Ponchos will be enough to feed two people. Their homemade fries are awesome! Excellent flavor and no ketchup needed. The fried mushrooms were excellent as well. Served piping hot! Recommended. We will return!

Very happy we listened when others recommended this place!! It has great food and service is very good. They make their own french fries! We were there in the early evening so it was a bit quiet. I wish I could have got pictures, but the food was amazing!! It was a lot of food for a super affordable price! My husband got the hearty burger and he said it was delicious I got the panchos with brisket and whoa!! If you like Buc-ees Brisket sandwiches, you are going to LOVE Buckhorn Grills. Tender, melt in your mouth beef slices (they will chop the brisket if you ask). Friendly service. Order extra sandwiches to take back to your colleagues. They will love you for the treat.
