Clean rooms, comfy beds, pool view, very accommodating, friendly helpful staff. Booked room after other hotel administrator canceled my reservation. Would definitely recommend. Has restaurant on-site so you technically have everything you need in one spot!! If in area again definitely my top choice.

Beds were comfortable and clean, staff were helpful and professional. Breakfast is not included in the room price. We stayed a night on the 4th floor, and the first room we went into had some kind of smell. (Mildew? Smoke? Chlorine from overlooking the pool? Couldnt really tell.) The front desk staff were excellent and put us in a different room on the same floor, but the second room was also smelly. Side note: Google Maps has no idea how to get you to the parking lot of this hotel. The only entrance is from W Rieck Rd.

**** DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! **** DONT BOOK YOUR CONFERENCE!!! +++THEY HAVE BUGS IN THEIR BEDS+++ **** SATURDAY 9/07/2024 **** REFUSE TO TAKE OWNERSHIP/ACCOUNTABILITY BY REFUNDING IN FULL OR PARTIALLY THE MONEY PAID FOR THE ROOM. THE GENERAL MANAGER SHELLY IS YET TO SPEAK TO ME AFTER SEVERAL REQUESTS FROM MYSELF & IHG GUEST RELATIONS. KATY THE ASSISTANT GM IS DISMISSIVE OF ME & MY CONCERN([in my opinion] implies she is used to hearing about bug complaints). SHE STATED THIS IS EAST TEXAS AND THERE ARE BUGS HERE. QUINTIN(front desk) WHO CAME TO THE ROOM ---SAYS I HAVE THESE AT MY HOUSE TOO. UMMMM....I DONT AND ESPECIALLY NOT CRAWLING ON ME IN MY BED. SHELLY/KATY(per their response to IHG Guest Relations) SAY BECAUSE I MOVED ROOMS THIS SATIFIES THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO ME. THAT IS THE BARE MINIMUM THE HOTEL COULD DO IS MOVE ME. WHO IS GOING TO CONTINUE TO STAY IN A ROOM THAT HAS BUGS IN THE BED? NOBODY. GM SHELLY DID NOT CALL ME ON MONDAY(9/09) TO APOLOGIZE FOR THE EXPERIENCE OR INCONVENIENCE. I HAD TO CALL THEM ON TUESDAY (9/10). SHELLY TOLD ME THEY DISCUSSED IT ON MONDAY MORNING BUT MADE NO CALL TO ME THAT DAY. TODAY(9/17) I SPOKE TO IHG GUEST RELATIONS & STILL NO OTHER RESPONSE FROM HOTEL MANAGEMENT. -----STAY AT YOUR OWN PERIL -- FOR AN EXPERIENCE OF BUGS IN YOUR BED & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM HOTEL MANAGEMENT---- Shawn Gibson IHG Member since 2005

I stayed two days at this hotel. My room was ok. The black African woman at the front desk was polite, kind and has great customer service. She works a lot i think she deserves some kind of appreciation award because of her outstanding customer service. Housekeeping didnt come to the room so i called the front desk to see if housekeeping was working. I needed towels and thought maybe she could clean the bathroom. The front desk clerk said she would let housekeeping know i needed towels. Housekeeping came and brought towels and didnt clean the bathroom matter of fact i didnt see housekeeping come on the floor where i was staying so i suggest you bring your own towels and your cleaning stuff along with your vacuum cleaner. Housekeeping can do better with cleaning the rooms and hotel overall. I felt they couldve knocked on the door and asked if you needed service like every hotel do.

Stay away! Don t bring your family to this Holiday Inn. They don t value disabled veterans. Sad and pathetic hotel. We had to find another local hotel after booking and confirming a disabled access room but they didn t have it upon our arrival. Anyone dealing with disabled family knows how much effort goes into travel arrangements. This hotel mistake was despite their reservation website clearly listing the room details, and I called to verify, and they called again too! It s likely the cause is an absentee owner who is too greedy to update software and pay for employee training. That s his choice and his business so I just write this to warn fellow travellers to stay away from the Holiday Inn Tyler.

Terrible experience I was there for 3 days with staff coming in and out my room through out my stay but yet when I left they said I was smoking in my room. Which was just a flat out lie and charged me a fee with a bogus excuse that they smelled smoke! They charged me $345 even though the paperwork states the fee would be $300. I think the manager raciest and wonder how many people they have done this to so with staff coming in and out my room through out my stay why wasn t the smoke smell reported then and sent me this picture of things in the trash as there proof of me smoking in the room I smell scam you be the judge

If I could give this hotel a no star review I would. Unfortunately, my trip took a turn when I checked out! Until then things were good. Front desk staff is great. Room mediocre. Older room with slow draining tubs. My team and I stayed at this hotel for a few days for a conference. I was fraudulently charged $345. When speaking to management, I was yelled at, repeatedly, accused and threatened that they had photos. When I asked for the photos, only one was provided, which was cloudy and unclear. Katy Hankins manager and Shelly Arnold manager are biased and biased unprofessional. Their communication was as if I was not the customer! Rude, spoke over me, provided no solutions and blatantly accused me of something I didn t not do and over charged me on top of that! I frequently travel and this customer service is by far worst I ve had and more so disappointing that I was treated in such a manor. It s unfortunate that I have to post this negative review but if you re a minority be careful with staying at this hotel. Who knows what charges they will take out of your bank account without knowledge.

From the vibrant flowers blooming around the property to the genuine smiles from every employee, you can feel the difference. Its a palpable, 100% commitment to exceptional service and warmth. Highly recommend! Rooms: Clean sparkling rooms. Not a single thing out of place. Food and drinks: We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Simple typical food except they had Turkey sausage too. Wonderful stay! Everything was so clean!!! The cleaning staff takes great pride in their work. Every staff member I had contact with was super nice! The landscape is beautiful, and so much in walking distance, including food and shopping. Great entertainment options nearby. Comfortable beds, soft and firm pillows. The building is sturdy and sound resistant. My youngest was able to run in the room without making a sound or having the neighbors below us complain. They also have cribs!! All you have to do is request one, and they will bring it to you. They have a restaurant/bar downstairs, and they have specials and even karaoke nights. They have a large parking lot. They have an enclosed outdoor pool that goes to 8 feet and a shallow pool for little ones. Felt very safe in all areas.

The Holiday Inn Tyler Conference Center is a nice hotel. You can tell its on the older side but they are trying to keep it updated. The room was spacious and clean. There is a restaurant in the hotel which is usually a plus, although I didnt eat there. The patio door doesnt open unfortunately. However, ample storage with drawers and a closet. The room has a microwave and a mini fridge which makes heating up food easy. There is also a coffee maker and full size blow dryer. My only suggestion would be to increase the TV size. I was a bit surprised at the size of the TV, especially in comparison to the room size...it really needs to be upgraded. The location is right by shopping and dining. Overall though, I would recommend this hotel.

What they have right is by far the service. The hotel itself is definitely showing its age but whatever it lacks in stylish swag they more than make up for it with service. The check-in experience is very smooth and efficient. The breakfast in the mornings is plentiful and the service in the restaurant is outstanding!!! I had an issue with my key, they immediately fixed and walked with me to make sure I got in OK. I had an issue with the ac and they had a service guy up there in no time and it was fixed. The hotel could really stand for some renovation but if they continue to offer this kind of service I think most will be very pleased. Beds were comfortable and clean. Really wished we couldve opened the balcony doors, that was a big disappointment. Other than that I highly recommend. Rooms: Showing their age but were comfortable and the dove products were nice even though I dont usually like Dove Food and drinks: Great breakfast and good bar food at night as well

Make sure you get a receipt when canceling. The staff did not record my checkout; total confusion and charged me for a no show for second night. I expected staff to call back and apologize for mistake. But instead I had to make four calls before I got a call back, and then the HR person call me back and basically Lectured me for 15 , gave me the third degree about the rules of canceling same day Really it s too complicated - basically always get a receipt on any verbal agreement. Too many different people working front desk, unorganized and inefficient. I ll stay at the Homewood suites next time. Anytime you make a hotel reservation you should get a confirmation number and then get a confirmation of when it was canceled. I did not have a confirmation number - the room I was in was not available for the next night. Stay in a hotel where youget confirmation number. Too much of a hassle

Its not the employees fault, but this place really needs a renovation. My room stank! Luckily I got a candle for Christmas so I burned it all night to cover the smell. The room was just old. It had those ugly like yellowish cream color light switch plates from the 80s, a yellow bathtub and was just kinda dingy and crusty. The bed was nice though, and breakfast was top notch. I guess thats what you get even at a holiday inn for $150+ a night. Kind of a bummer. Also its difficult to get to. The GPS is even confused. We drove around the block twice, before finding the tiny side road that looks like an alley you have to go down to get there. The address is Broadway, but its not actually on Broadway. You can see it from Broadway, though.

Accommodations for pets is not really ideal. There is a grass area, but you have to walk to the end of the parking lot. It is fine just want people to be aware that it is not close. The breakfast was free with my booking. It is also free for anyone 11 and under. If I needed to come to Tyler tx again I would. Rooms: Nice comfortable enough room for four. Our overall stay was good. The pool was clean and nice to sit with friends to socialize with. We were there for a conference so being in the same place was nice. Close to shopping, which was great. We stayed 3 nights on the first morning we had housekeeping come and they didnt refill our coffee k cups, or give us new coffee to go cups to use and tied the trash bags in waste baskets so tight you couldnt put much trash in the bag. We did get clean towels, which was nice. We just kept the do not disturb tag on our door. The coffee in the hotel was not great, in my opinion. And the breakfast was not worth the $14.95 a person either. For that price, I was at least expecting hot food and a decent cup of hot coffee. Now the night we arrived we had dinner at their restaurant and it was a great burger. The onion rings were great. We arrived on a Thursday night, and their burgers were five dollars. Would definitely recommend trying their burgers if you happen to be there. Nearby activities: Didnt get to see all the stores, but the location of this hotel was great for the places we did go to. Walkability: We did walk to the Sonic nearby, and Michaels, which was nice to get out and stretch our legs after conference time. Food and drinks: Coffee was not great. Breakfast wasnt either. Their lunch was okay. The chicken was dry. Other than their great burgers I cant say their food was the best Ive had.

I was, however, pleasantly surprised to have received evening turndown service. Front Desk Agents were friendly and accommodating. Conference Area needs a little attention, though... restrooms were out of supplies (paper towels and toilet paper), and room temperatures were either freezing or too warm. The catering serving staff were friendly and attentive. The food was very good. Bar/restaurant staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive, as well. I did not have a chance to experience the pool deck, but it was utilized and enjoyed by families during the days I was there. Hotels are meant for the comfort of customers, if you lock the AC buttons so you can t adjust the AC to me, that s bad business. Hotel was pretty close to Mother Frances Hospital, and was very nice. And we got a medical discount, which helped with the cost. Beds were very comfortable. Room was clean. But you cant get there from Broadway (it has an address on Broadway.) You have to turn off Broadway to a side street and find a tiny driveway that goes to the hotel. And there was no free continental breakfast.

I hadn t stayed in a Holiday Inn in a long time. This one is big and pleasant. I booked it because it has an outdoor pool and they have a good senior discount. Room was big and clean. Really nice bathroom. A/C was not working and the staff quickly came and fixed it. I didn t realize breakfast was not complimentary ($15 buffet). I probably need to try a Holiday Inn Express next.

I love this hotel and bar and restaurant. Great people all around and the best hotel in Tyler. Also the highest view. come stay here on the 8th floor and ask for the pool view . You can even see all the people waiting in lines to the many fine dining experiences (from upstairs) and choose your destination. Best bartender in town.

writing this review for Veronica. I came to the lobby bawling my eyes out because of personal reasons. She was empathetic and went above and beyond her role as a front desk attendant to help me. When she saw me the day after she even followed up to see if the issue was resolved. I am very grateful for her. give her a raise lol

Stayed here for the week while I was in Tyler for work. The hotel restaurant provided great food and drinks. Staff was always friendly, rooms were clean. I was able to meet the owner of the hotel,as he was working just as hard as his staff during a busy period in the restaurant area. If I were traveling back to Tyler, I wouldn t stay anywhere else. That s how well I was treated.

Always a great stay at this place. Ive come to know the staff and they make me feel at home! Theres only a couple cool places to stay in Tyler. This is definitely one of them. If I could change one thing, it would be the variety at the breakfast buffet and the early hours of the restaurant and bar. Love the service. Love the property.

Service was above par... Sadly, getting the farthest room possible from the elevator or stairs for a week stay was rough. Yet they went out they way, to attempt to change me to a different room type... but accommodate my stubbornness of keeping the room type... the Front Desk Manager, he has done well and prepare his team for stubborn guests like myself....

Great customer service and pretty clean! Nice spot to grab breakfast in the morning as well. The only suggestion I have for folks is if you want your quiet, dont get a room facing the courtyard with the pool. The sound is in an echo chamber in the middle of the hotel and gets pretty noisy.
