Location is nice. There is plenty of parking for all guests. It is conveniently located across the street from the Emmett Scott Park. The overall facility is awesome. It is spacious enough for over 100 people. It comes with the tables and chairs. There are plenty of outlets in throughout the building too. The TV is available for use to display presentations, etc. It also comes with men & women restrooms. Here is an ice maker and refrigerator avail for use as well as multiple sinks if needed. We have used this venue 2 years in a row, because it is the best & most reasonable for the time you are allowed the reservation. I highly recommend it for your next event.

This place is an amazing venue if you need to host 80-120 guests. The A/C works amazing and the kitchen is very spacious. Weve done 2 parties here, a baby shower and a birthday party. The owner is very helpful and personable. There is plenty of space for people to eat, walk around, and just have some good old fashioned conversation. The venue also comes with an ice machine which is very helpful in a pinch even you come up short on a few bags of ice. Overall we love this place and will continue to use this venue for future events.

This was the perfect spot for our family reunion of 75. We had more than enough room to accommodate different activities. The children loved that the park was across the street. For some that like the outdoors, it was a nice shady sitting area for them to enjoy. Last, but not least the customer service was amazing from start to finish. Thank you from the Davis family.

Very Nice Event Space. A/C works great, clean and they have a Ice Maker . That ice maker saved us some much time and hassle. They also have a Full size refrigerator and A BBQ grill with outside seating. The Venue Is across from a Nice park. The owner was very friendly , he showed me how to work every thing in his building. I would recommend 1000%

We rented this for a gender reveal for my son and the building is Great! The owner is a lot like some are saying. He s older and a lil not as right as I told him my opions. We cleaned the building with nothing left to clean and he went and inspected. I told him we cleaned and he can just give my $50 back instead of giving it to someone who has nothing to do. I just don t think honest people would do that when you actually walked around and saw it was clean. But anyway I Love the building and it is Great. Don t expect owner to be understanding, just business. Rent and know you will only get $200 back. To rent is $950, $375 and I forgot the last amount. You won t be upset if you think like that. I will rent with that thought. Thank you!

I really like how the place is kept up, the owner R.Sheffield is a Great Man with reasonable prices always trying to help someone that is wanting to throw an event at his location it s a very nice setup and it s worth the money you spend for a all in one area with outside gated

I ve been to several parties at this event center. I had a great time there. The facility is in excellent condition inside and out. The owners are super friendly and easy to get along with professionally. Also the place is super clean and sanitized. I will definitely attend this center again. Thanks so much.

At first he was nice, and even set out some tables . We were having fun until we noticed he was watching us on the cameras. And as you can see in some pictures posted ,he has taken pictures from up top with the cameras .that s kind of creepy to be watching people . When the party ended us and 20 other people helped us clean the center and left it more clean than we found it. Which we didn t have to clean at all but we were nice enough . When it came back to giving the $200 deposit back he wanted to say that we left the walls dirty and ceiling which we tried to clean and offered to come back and clean the rest . But he ignored it . Not to mention but the plugs in the kitchen were not working so we had to cook on the floor and the ice machine magically stopped working whenever he came back and had the audacity to ask if we messed with anything electrical like we know where that would be .so when my mom was on the phone with him talking about the 200$ deposit he hung up right in her face . So he took 250 dollars for cleaning we already did and we tried to be nice about things but he just wouldn t .

If I could give zero S I would. The only venue available for the weekend we needed and I see why now. I wish someone would have warned me. The owner puts on a very professional nice front but in all reality he is a creeper who never intends on giving you your security deposit from jump. He claimed of the $250 deposit $50 is for cleaning and $200 you will get back but that is not true. Even though he was supposed to do ALL the cleaning, we ended up cleaning tables, chairs, swept & mopped the floors, cleaned the walls and ceiling s. Anything that we might have used or touched we cleaned and took the trash out to the dumpster. There was nothing left to clean. He has camera s EVERYWHERE and watches your entire event to find ways NOT to give you your money back. Showed up 35-45 min before my event time was over creeping around. Told me to call him the following business day about my deposit which I did and he tells me he isn t giving me my deposit because he is having to clean. That was a lie. Why because 1. We cleaned EVERYTHING already! 2. He was already keeping $50 for cleaning. Instead he kept the whole $250 for so called cleaning . This is a WARNING because I wish someone would have warned me. Besides now being out all that money .let me include that the outlets in the extremely small kitchen on the walls didn t work either so we had to warm up crockpots by using the floor outlets. It was an absolute mess. What was supposed to be a very special day turned into an expensive nightmare.

I honestly thought this place was gonna be and amazing place to book. When i called he was super nice and open to letting us schedule my gender reveal. While the event was taking place we were being watched the ENTIRE TIME. He was lounging around and it was just very uncomfortable. On top of that he had NO intentions on giving the deposit back which was $250. 50$ of it was for cleaning purposes which we already did, we swept and mopped the place and even the extent to cleaning the walls AND CEILING because some of the powder from our confetti had got on it. Our even was over at 5 he was there at 4:35 walking around saying how his ice machine was not working which let me include we NEVER used. How his outlets weren t working but they weren t working when we were there that s why they were cooking ON THE FLOOR because the only one that worked were the ones on the ground. He has no intentions on giving your deposit back so if your looking forward to it no what you do this man will find and excuse to not give it back. I hope this helped someone .

I had a birthday party @ Emmett Scott Event Center a very great facility . The owner Mr.Sheffield is very professional and the building is spotless. Emmett Scott Event Center met my needs, my guests and I was really impressed. If you are looking for an event Emmett Scott Event Center is a fabulous place to rent you will not be disappointed.

The event i attended was well organized. I was impressed with the building , very nice, clean and I didnt want to leave the building it was so very cool and comfortable, good air conditioner system.
