Manager would not allow tvs changed to football games. We had cartoons on the TV near us while Sunday games were on. No kids in our section. No one watching cartoons. This was our first time to this location. Well stick with other locations.

I had a horrible experience with one employee out of dozens of great ones. The General Manager is amazing though and listened to my headache of an explanation. He didnt have to do that. Thank you :( 1/5 to that one employee, but 5/5 literally to everyone else. ( also 5/5 to her if she wouldnt be so UNREASONABLE and MEAN )

The have great food, good service, and the staff is always friendly. My only issue is that every time I try to order a milkshake, they keep telling me they don t have any because their machine is broken. I think they have them, they are either just lying to the people to get them to stop ordering them because of the high demand or they re too lazy to clean out the machine after use. They are basically pulling that McDonald s crap, if you re no longer serving them then atleast remove it off the menu. You re causing an inconvenience to the customers appetites.

You wont go wrong nor be disappointed with Slim Chickens because for one, the pickins are slim. My favorite menu item is the Crispy Chicken Sandwich meal. Its different from that other national chain, but in a really great way. My family really enjoys getting hot wings from here, and someone is always getting their tenders. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. We usually eat here after church on Sundays, so try to get there closer to noon. By 12:30 pm, theyre packed, which is usually a great sign of good food. They have chicken and waffles! How fun is that?! Their sweet tea is really good--good and sweet. Get their app and get rewards. They also have delivery. Great! Now that Im thinking about Slim Chickens Im hungry! Kid-friendliness: Our kids luv this place! Good family environment. We were in town doing a little antique/junk shopping and decided to stop for lunch. After all, how can you not stop at a place called Slim Chickens ? I have to say that the name is the main attraction. The sound was deafening, and the meal was mediocre at best. Rubbery chicken, standard issue fries, and watery and fairly tasteless gravy. The service was excellent, but Slim s isn t worth a repeat visit.

Everything was overly salty. Chicken,fries, and garlic bread had more salt flavor than garlic. I love flavor but tasted like they dumped a cup of salt on the whole meal after they seasoned and cooked it. Im not sure what happened, but I wont be giving it a second chance unless its free. My partner and I had never been to Slim Chickens and had decided to visit the Drive-thru. We had pulled up and mentioned that we had never been before, and a lovely woman named Heather asked us to pull up to the window. She help us personally pick out our order and made sure that we would be going away with something we would like. Great customer service, amazing sauces, and, even though we went through the Drive-thru, an overall amazing experience. Thank you Heather! Definitely will be coming back again!

First time coming here. Got stuck in Tyler for Easter weekend because my car broke down and the mechanic shop was in the same shopping center as this place so I was advised to try it. Definitely not a bad decision. I had the Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese and it was GREAT! Missed out on getting dessert but everything was great. Customer service is big with me and they took care of me from the cashier throughout my dining experience. Ill definitely be back Parking: So many options because its in a shopping center. You can either park in the centers parking area or directly in the restaurants area.

The chicken is hit or miss. Last night, for example, it was soaking in a pool of oil in the box, making it nearly inedible. You will get that sometimes. Other times, it will be everything you should expect. I hope they improve on this.

I went to the Slim Chickens on Troup Hwy in Tyler for a job interview on I was given a cup and asked to wait for someone to do my interview at 4pm on December 27th, 2023. I was spoken to about 15-20 minutes later but was not interviewed. I drove in from Jacksonville which is down the road a bit and I arrived early. I was asked to return on Monday if I hadn t heard anything back by then. This. Is. Unacceptable. I just wanted to say they need to do better. I will only be dining at the one on Broadway.

I came here a couple weeks ago, went through the drive-thru, and ordered an 8 wing meal. When I got home, it was an entirely different order so they clearly got it mixed up. Fortunately, I live relatively close so it wasnt the biggest inconvenience, but it was certainly annoying. I get back to the restaurant, go through the drive-thru again and explain that they gave me the wrong order and that I paid for an 8 wing meal. They apologize, take the wrong order, and hand me another order. I should have checked it on the spot because when I got home it was a 6 piece meal. I wasnt going to go back. I called the store, spoke with the manager, and they offered a free 8 wing meal next time I came in. I took them up on that offer the following week and everything was great. My rating is a combination of the headache from the first visit and also their willingness to make things right. All things considered, I will likely be back. Theyre really good wings.

7-24-22: I am still having issues with this location. If you dont specify your wings, they will give you minimal flats and mostly drums for you wings. And the rep was rude when I brought it to her attention. I waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes. When arriving at the window the worker did not look at me, give me my drink prior to waiting longer, or even acknowledge me. This was at 9:30pm May 26, 2022. Horrible customer service. I ended up driving off due to no workers coming to the window. Another customer had been pulled forward to wait. They had been in line for up to 4p minutes. Will not go here again.

I love Slims, but this place has disappointed me for the last time. The customer service is absolutely horrendous! More than once Ive put in a mobile order for curbside, only to sit in the spot for more than 10 minutes past the eta. Youd think theyre busy, but when I go inside to inquire about our order, not only do they have the food in a bag, they still dont get your drinks for you. Why even have a curbside option on your app if your employees are too lazy to deliver peoples orders or get their drinks? I wont be visiting this location anymore, and I recommend everyone else do the same. They also expect delivery employees to get the orders together and drinks poured, which goes against TABC standards.

Chicken tenders were chewy and was just mediocre. The toast and fries were ok, they werent hot. I wont be returning.

Has gone downhill!! A bunch of kids who obviously dont care about job performance!! It seems like NOBODY knows what they are doing... Will definitely not be back for a WHILE!

We come her often! Love the food. Tonight we came and for one when we pulled up we thought they was closed because nobody answered the speaker. Than the guy finally answered. Once we got our food it was cold! I asked the manger do you not cook your fries hot he stated we haven t been busy, no excuse I paid my money all I ask is for hot food. Other than this I love it
