Being from Arizona, it s been a little difficult finding Mexican food similar to back home. I gave this place a shot today, and it was excellent! The chicken was full of flavor, and especially liked the guacamole having a kick to it. Topping it off with the roasted onion, sealed the deal for me. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I went here today with our boys and our parents! It was delicious!!! Our kids are so picky and not only did they eat all their food, but we had to go back and order more food!!!! Went there yesterday myself to check things out. The service at the register was great. I loved the salsa bar! The chicken was AMAZING! Most of the time breast meat can be dry, but not this one. The whole entire chicken was juicy, tender, flavorful, and easily was falling off the bone. The rice and beans were pretty good as well. The cup of beans had lots of cilantro and pieces of chicharron in them too. The place was clean and the staff were very attentive. It was so good I even brought my wife, kids and my parents the next day. I have decided that this is my new Pollo Asado hang out spot in town.

Had to edit my review I was impressed the first time but consistency in your business lacks. Your male cashier on Saturday did a poor job in managing my order. He seemed like his brain was in another stratosphere. I dont think he cares about your business the way he conducted himself. I asked him to check on my order multiple times to be met with refusal. If you have a camera you would see this individual spend 25 minutes cleaning one table while I begged for him to get my order from the back which was sitting in a brown bag the whole time. I had to retrieve my own cup because he forgot the cup. Repeated my order multiple times. ...........No more eating out. No more catering.

I ve been meaning to try Pollo Regio for a while now, I m so glad I finally came by! The restaurant is very clean & the service was great. I ordered the Regio bowl and was shocked at how MASSIVE it was, definitely worth the $10.99. Everything was delicious, especially the pico. The free chips and salsa were fresh and spicy and yummy! This is definitely going to be a go to spot for me.

I frequent this place often in Dallas. While in New Braunfels on business, I drove 20 minutes out of my way to come get some Pollo Regios. I order the 1/2 chicken Al carbon almost every time I come in. However, this location was out of chicken and when inquiring about how long, I was told an hour. It s in the name, you shouldn t run out.

Pollo regio back in the day was really good. Now a days the chicken soup for example was given a chicken leg and thigh, was . Now you get small portion of chopped chicken breast you can bearly see the chicken in the mix. The half chicken with rice and beans gets mixed with a different sauce. I was a big fan on both chicken soup and half chicken. Now all that change. I like the tostada with aguacate and cream. The tacos are good. Other than that, it is what it is. So my boyfriend looked at the receipt and they charged us extra for every flour tortilla I got in my plate. Which comes with what I order. I ordered 5 street tacos. It was $15.39 to begin with. So if I order tacos that should be included in the meal plate. But he charged me an extra $6 because I said flour when he asked for corn or flour. I dont think this is right. If Im ordering tacos they come in a tortilla. How else would I eat a taco. So I feel taken advantage of. They didnt mention this at all. So I wont be going back here. I had another similar thing happen at a taco truck on 46 parked at Daddys sam car wash. I ordered 2 tacos and gave her a $20 and she only gave me back $7 . Try this place! We drove 46 miles to get here because we love the chicken. Such great grilled chicken. Recommend eating inside so you can take advantage of the great free toppings such as fresh cut limes, pico de gallo, cabbage with jalapeños, pickled onions with a habanero for a little kick. This was our first time going to Pollo Regio s. It was a bargain for how much food we got. We have a big family with a few teenage boys that have huge appetites. We got a #1 and some kids meals. This place just opened and we decided to stop here on the way home from San Antonio because we wanted to try this place. I had ordered a quesadilla, flauta plate and Carne Asada plate, as well as a 1/2 chicken meal. First of all, the service was excellent. We did have to repeat our order at least 3 times, but I had figured it was because the place was new and the guy working was probably new as well. The inside of the store was empty. I think it was because most folks did not even know it was open, as we were leaving with our food, you could see people filing in. The chicken flautas were good. They gave you plenty of flautas. Most places would usually put 2 or 3 on the plate. This place gave you 5. They were not greasy, or tasted like the oil should have been thrown out. I did appreciate them putting them into a separate container and keeping the rice and beans separate. The quesadilla was also good. They had prepackaged all of the condiments separately, which was nice. I was a little disappointed that you could not just get a 2 piece chicken. You had to get a 1/2 or whole chicken. My kid ended up saying he was going to take it for lunch the next day. I am not sure what was going on with the rice. It had an almost burned taste to it and had a funky aftertaste. I ended up throwing all of the containers of rice away in the trash. They did give us charro beans. They were ok. It would have nice to have a 3rd option of black beans instead of only charro or refried beans. When I ordered the food, the new guy never asked us what kinds of beans we wanted. Overall, it was a good experience. I did think the places were a little on the pricey side. The 3 plates cost me over $60. There is another chicken place smilier to what they offer we like to go to and it is no where near $60+ dollars for 3 plates. I might give them a chance to work out the kinds with their service and food quality before I give them another shot, but enjoyed stopping here.

My grandson really likes the chicken here. We bring him to eat every Saturday and he is only 21 months old. We drove 2 hours just to go to Chicken Region in New Braunfels TX. Thank you Johnathan for such a great place and all your help. Sincerely Mayra Alvarado

I had asada street taco meal. I mean nothing amazing about it. Hubs had the half chicken. Chicken and rice needed salt. Rice wasn t the greatest 1-10 the charro beans were a 5. I did enjoy the free homemade tortilla chips and salsa bar. The green salsa, red salsa were the best. Habanero salsa was not givin habanero vibes. Wasn t hot, to me. Those jalapeño red onions were bomb. However I didn t come for salsa bar. Would I come back? Absolutely not. Plenty of greasy non dry asada meat places all over New Braunfels. Oh, manager was nice.

Food was good. Had a baked potatoe with asada. Huge portion. Also had the tacos. You can pick your meat, we had 2 barbacoa, 2 pastor and 1 asada. You can choose corn or flour totillas. Have a salsa bar and warm tortilla chips. Service is great and the restaurant is super clean. Will definitely be back. Food

I got the loaded nachos and extra cheese sauce. The chips by themselves were good. Nice and warm, seasoned, and free with purchase of an entrée. However, the nacho cheese was that can nacho cheese you buy at the store, Ricio cheese. I never really liked the taste of that cheese. The older I got passed high school. It has like a chemical,sweet taste to it. The refried beans were extra running to me. On top of the chips were extra greasy due to the asada meat (Im assuming) and chemical cheese combination. I couldnt finish it. My friend got a chicken quesadilla and told me she didnt enjoy it because the cheese taste over powered the flavor of the grilled chicken (which she also thought the cheese tasted like Ricio). I will say my pineapple Agua Fresca was good and was the only thing I finished. So, for the loaded nachos with asada, medium cheese sauce, large pineapple Agua Fresca, chicken quesadilla, and large fountain drink, it came out to around $45. We tried a new place, but price wise, it was pretty expensive and highly likely wont come back unless it is to just get a pineapple Agua Fresca ($4 Lg).
