My husband took me to breakfast and I suggested Country Kitchen. We live in Tyler and this was our first opportunity to eat here. We had the Barn Buster and Everybodys Favorite. The waittress explained how we could modify the meals to our liking. Food was wonderful. Pancakes light and fluffy, crepes were delicious, coffee great-with choices of creamer flavor. Overall great atmosphere and food. One of my past students works here. Nice to see her. Great service. Kid-friendliness: Booths and tables are available.

Ordered breakfast food at 5:45 pm with no one else ordering food and 30 min later waitress wanted to know what I wanted with omelet which I had already told her toast. After another 15 minutes later and the only ones in restaurant and food or waitress not in sight just had to leave and go try Happys Breakfast.

We had been planning to stop in here again since March 1st and yesterday was the day. I had been raving so much on this place that my best friend wanted to check it out! The food did NOT disappoint! The only thing that could have been greatly improved on would have been our waitresses attitude. She was very smug and harsh the entire meal and really just made me feel unwelcome!! This is still my favorite breakfast spot tho so for the time being I will be back. Parking: There is plenty of parking at this establishment, so no worries there!

The food took literally 2 hours to be served . This was the breakfast shift and we stood at the door for 20 minutes waiting to be seated . Their were plenty of seats but they chose not to put us in those. Instead we sat at a table after we requested a booth bc we had two small children. The high chairs were dirty and they had no napkins extra only the ones wrapped around our fork and knive. I ordered biscuits Sausage and gravy and they served me the biscuit with the gravy on top like normal but the meat looked like Canadian Bacon and it was chopped up and put on top of the gravy. It was just strange looking but tastes ok. The whole experience was bad and it cost a small fortune for two adults and two under 5

I was unhappy today because of their service. Their waiter forgot to take my order. We waited for nearly an hour for my familys order to arrive. That was when we asked when our order would be delivered. Maybe we were treated like this because we are Asian! It made me spend a different Mothers Day. In the end, we packed up everything to go.

Unless youre a regular, dont expect good service. Went there asked for waters and our waitress completely forgot them on the counter. She even looked right at them and proceeded to walk away. But continued seating down other customers and delivering their drink orders no issue. Then her and another waitress proceeded to complain about a coworker and some work drama with a customer behind us. When we went to checkout we told her we wanted to split the bill down the middle. She completely ignored us and took all my cash to pay the bill and only put a couple dollars on a card. Very unprofessional. The food was great but not service. And I say if youre not regulars cause our waitress had no problem with being friendly and accommodating to other customers who seem to come by often. It was only our second time there.

Disappointing. Restaurant has some significant cleanliness problems, at least in the guest areas. Condiment holders, shakers, coffee pots all needed outside cleaning. Windowsills extremely dirty. And this was first thing on Sunday morning. Service very slow, food took about 15 minutes to make it to the table, and it was lukewarm at best. A far cry from the excellence we saw when they first opened.

Ive been a few times and each was progressively worse. The first visit made me want to come back. The second visit was at Christmas and I was aware of the reduced hours - I get there with my family and they are locking the door behind each customer that leaves so nobody else can come in. We arrived 2 hours before the advertised shortened hours and were refused at the door by the hostess; the owner/manager noticed what was going on and let us in only to receive horrible service and mediocre food. My third and final visit was yesterday right after lunch time. The place was a ghost town! One worker was just a few feet outside the front door smoking a cigar letting all the stink waft in through the front door. One couple was seated at a table acting as though they havent been helped. My friend and I stood in the lobby with no hostess or anybody to be found. We could hear talking and laughing coming from the kitchen so my friend stepped back, poked his head in to ask for help and got the brush off. We walked out and went across the road to Texas Roadhouse instead for immediate service and excellent food. CK may have the best pancakes but they also have the worst service! Never going back.

We were greeted within a couple second of entering by a very friendly young man. He was very nice as we ordered drinks, wich he got with in like 2 minutes, they were not busy it was around 530 when our party arrived. He answered our questions with a smile and great friendly demeanor. He didnt rush us to order ( even though they were having to close way early due to a repair needed asap) . Our food arrived fast and perfect. We each ordered different items so as to try each one lol. The honey mustard chicken sandwich ( wich my daughter called the suped up grilled cheese lol was great. All of us enjoyed that. The pot roast skillet was very tasty. The cheeseburger was great. Not alot of spices and the bun was delicious. Restraunt was very clean , the two dirty tables that we saw were cleaned asap the guest checked out. Needless to say we will definately be coming back!!! And yes their pancakes were good also. Wish we had taken photos...but next time.

Our waitress was fine, but the place was basically empty which wasn t a great sign. The French Toast was crusted in cinnamon, you couldn t taste anything but the cinnamon. The pancakes were okay, but flavorless. Bacon was way overdone and incredibly salty. Eggs were flavorless and very slimy. I wanted like this place (really bad as it is close to home) .but after the experience we had tonight we will definitely never go again. We walked in their doors at 7:38 pm to be exact and got seated by a really nice guy who got our drinks. We were then greeted by a server who asked if we were ready i said no ma am not yet she then explained to us how kids eat free after 2pm and what was on the kids menu. No more than 2 minutes later she asked if we were ready to order yet and I said no ma am not quite, she said are you sure?? I shook my head no and smiled and thought wow that was a weird response she then rolled her eyes and walked away. (I have a 2.5 year old son that I am trying to get settled and situated so haven t had the chance to fully look at menu) I looked at my husband and said do you just wanna leave? I don t feel welcomed here and I feel rushed to hurry up and order (this is my family s first time here). We decided we would just stay because we were already there and settled. We then placed our order, we were hoping that the food would speak for itself and make the experience better, it did not. The food was bland and just nothing to rave about to be honest. We ate, packaged up what we didn t eat and began to leave. As we were walking out the door the server said next time you come try to come before 8pm I said oh do yall close at 8 because on Google it said 10 she began to say yeah it says 10pm but the owner would like us to be closed by 8. I said oh well that s not how to get business in here! Server said I know but that s just what he likes . We proceeded out the door. My family and I will never be again and I ll make sure to tell anyone I know that brings this place up to never go at night.!!

This a nice addition to the casual style returaunts in Southeast Tyler. They have a nice breakfast menu with smiling and efficient serrvice. Its a great place to begin your day. My wife and I discovered this great restaurant a few weeks ago while in Tyler for medical appointments. We had breakfast which was absolutely perfect! Eggs cooked exactly as we ordered and tge pancakes were excellent! I came back two weeks later with my step son and father in law while my wife was having surgery. We all had breakfast and this time I ordered the Barn Buster...4 eggs over easy 4 sausages hash browns pancakes and toast! Perfect! And their coffee is fresh brewed and they bring a carafe to your table. My wife and I returned there yesterday and had breakfast once again. Yep...I had the Barn buster again! We will be in Tyler again Monday and again Thursday for doctors appointments. We will be eating there again both days. Thursday we will meet my cousins thete for lunch. I plan on trying their chicken fried steak! It sounds awesome. I give high marks to the waitresses and we compliment the owners for how they visit with customers at each table making sure they are satisfied with everything. Its a clean place with a homey atmosphere. If we didnt live in Crockett, 100 miles southwest of Tyler, we would eat there daily! My wife and I used to own and operate 2 restaurants in Crockett called The Way Station. And we are critics of wherever we eat. I wanted a fun breakfast so I ordered the Waffle with eggs and bacon. Id say this was the best waffle Ive eaten in a long time, with just the right amount of crispiness to it, yet moist and tender on the inside. My eggs and bacon were also cooked as ordered. We went for dinner on a Thursday. They have kids eat free after 3! There was only one server and he did a great job. Even brought out a birthday dessert. We all got the lighter portions and they were very small. Like 5 bites of entree and 5 bites of the side. (It was only a couple of dollars cheaper, so not a great value). Normally a lighter portion is 1 chicken breast instead of 2. I did get a western omelet to go and it was delicious and huge! I think staying with breakfast option is the way to go! The rant here is the place was disgusting. Floors dirty, sticky, trash everywhere, bathrooms disgusting. Made me think 2 about earing there.

We have done take out and dine in several times and my overall review is 3 stars due to inconsistency. I have eaten here and had hot food and great service and then today it took 10 minutes to get drinks, 30 minutes to get food and there was only 5 other tables sat. I am pretty lenient when a place is busy but they were dead. We should have been out in 30 minutes, not an hour. We have also had several to go orders where we got someone else s food. I think I am done giving this place chances, eating out is too pricey to risk wrong orders and slow service every time. Which is a shame, this place had the potential to be a go to spot for us.

This is a restaurant that we will go to again and again. We had a very late breakfast (around 1 pm). The steak bourbon steak was big for breakfast. Service was great and attentive.

neevr got my drink refilled the hour i was there, waiter came by my table a good 3 times and got made when i asked for the sausage i ordered. chicken strips, they have are not homemade, food pretty bland in my opionion. definitely need to step it up guys.

It was easily over 80° in the building. We were there for over an hour and it never cooled off. The appetizer took a little while to come out, but it was delicious. If you do ever go here (against my recommendation) you should definitely try the pickle fries, they were actually fantastic. We waited half an hour since we received our advertiser, and never got our food. We tried to ask our waitress for an update on our food, but she quite literally ignored us and walked away. We decided to leave right after that, paid for what we ate and left. The Wingstop across the street is very good by the way. Some things we witnessed while we were there: 1) we were delivered the incorrect order, which actually belonged to the table in front of us. When the table in front of us was delivered their order, they had to send it back to the kitchen because it looked abysmal. Im just not sure how you mess up a bacon cheeseburger that badly. 2) at one point, the woman two tables in front of us started walking around the juice bar to try to find a pitcher to fill up her drink. We had trouble getting our drinks refilled as well. 3) The table behind us was there long before us, and they didnt have their food either. We ended up seeing them at the Wingstop we went to after we left. They said they waited for over an hour and didnt get their food. They saw us leave and decided to do the same. 4) last time we ate at country kitchen, we also experienced a lack of AC in the building, and another person had to send food back to the kitchen for being burned. Ive never seen black hash browns before.

Just tried this place for the first time 8/6/23. Had the everybodys favorite breakfast and it was great. Food was good and reasonably priced. Server was attentive without pestering me every 2 minutes. IHOP can kick rocks this is my breakfast place for now on. I look forward to trying the lunch/dinner food options in the future.

We had brunch and it was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. The portion sizes could be a little bigger for the price. The main issue was the temperature inside of the restaurant. We noticed it was warm as soon as we walked in the door around 10am. They sat us by the windows and it got even worse. It was almost too uncomfortable to enjoy our time there. It was a little cooler on the other side of the restaurant, but not much. We checked this place off of our list but sadly, probably wont return.

Ive visited this restaurant a few times before and have had a decent time. This time, however, I waited almost an hour for eggs and pancakes. Got an excuse saying their printer messed up yet everyone else who ordered after me got their orders. I shouldve canceled and left but I stayed. The food was greasy and cold. The icing on the cake was when I went to pay. Number one - I shouldve at least been offered a discount for waiting so long. Number two - I was second in line to pay for my food. When my turn was up the host decided then would be a perfect time to call someone to be seated so he just left me standing there check and credit card in hand. He couldve and shouldve let me, an actual paying customer, pay first before seating someone else. To top it off, not just seating someone else he decides to go to the servers area and hang around before finally deciding to come back to collect my payment. Luckily, there are other breakfast establishments since I will not be returning here. I recommended this place to others previously. Not anymore.

Ive been looking for a new place to go for breakfast. Ive really found it here. I really like the workers and the atmosphere is very delightful. We always ask for our favorite server Chelsea. We have had nothing but EXCELLENT service from waitress, management all the way to the back of the house cooks and dishwashers! We come in almost everyday and never have had a bad experience! We request Chelsea when she is there and she is the politest person I have meet here in Tyler since I have been here! 7:00 on a Sunday morning, there s me and a couple in the whole restaurant. I order. 25 minutes go by. A waitress (not mine) sees that I ve been sitting there for 25 minutes and goes to check. My waitress reappears, launches into something about the closing cooks not doing what they were supposed to do, and my order hasn t been started yet. Did I mention that there are three people in the place? Not slammed. Do we think this could have been determined oh, let s say, FIVE minutes after my order was placed? This was my second and last visit to this place. Marginal food, at best. Unprofessional staff. There are too many good breakfast joints in Tyler. Avoid this one like the plague.
