I like Johnny s because it s a small local business. I see them cooking and making the food as ordered and it s fresh. I feel like I m at someone s house and they re cooking for me. Always friendly, and sometimes, when he s trying some thing new, he ll hand me a sample for my opinion. EVERY NOW and AGAIN, I can twist his arm to make some coconut tea . But really nice people. The inside is old looking, but it s a hidden gem. Don t let appearances fool you. Food is good

Ordered the BCB,I thought because the last time I ordered from there I had a great experience.I hoped it would be again,NOT,,,,I COULD NOT find any thing good.....OH,the coke cold . EVERYTHING ELSE .....The bun untoasted and soggy the tomatoes ( which they used the small Roma tomatoes) that was ok..but usually if they are small you put 3...... So,I like my burger ALL THE WAY ,I saw no onion with the lettuce and the small tomatoes, because they were on the bottom cut like the would be cut for a stew... Lets not forget the bacon it looked like it was cooked last Monday...back to the soggy , untoasted bun cold from those massive chunks of onion .... Whoever cooked must have had the vegetables soaking in water cuz the bun was not only soggy it was wet.... And then the meat was tasteless it was cooked it wasnt burnt it was tasteless. I called back and talk with the cashier she was not rude but she was not nice Im sorry about I guess they get enough people coming there Ill never go back there that was the worst burger that Ive ever had. Please if you read this please please please please please please dont put thick chunky onions on the bottom of the bun the onions should go with the lettuce and tomatoes all cold items should be together I dont like cold chunky onions on the bottom making the bun even worse than what it was. Yall need to do better... Never again for me itll be Whataburger first, then burger king, then McDonalds last...That was the worst Burger I ever had from a small town cafe.Ive had them from boyds and they were okay that was ridiculous I live right across from this place but I would take a cab if I had to go get a burger I will never get a burger from there and I will never step back in that place again.... I dont know who put those high remarks on the reviews, but I dont know whats going on maybe they got a new cook or maybe Johnny needs to stop cooking and find him somebody who can cook cuz that was terrible. ..

It did appear to be clean but everything is old. Ordered lunch shrimp was given an order of fish. When I said Informed the young lady I ordered shrimp with her heavy accent said she replies no you ordered fish and turned and walked away. Well I eat fish as also so I thought okay I guess today I ll try their fish . Not the CS that will keep you coming back. The fish had zero seasoning or flavor. I liked that it didn t have a fishy taste and had a nice light batter. I only ate one piece of fish half a peace of bread and some of the fries. The fries were good. I thought okay it s not bad but the CS was enough to say I probably won t frequent this place. I get to choose where I spend my money and I look for the whole package. In this order Cleanliness, Good CS, Good Tasting and Quality food and Value. I don t care what it cost if I get the first 3 it s a value for me at any cost whether it s $5 or $500. It has to worthy of my time and my money because that is my choice and within my control. The problem with this visit to Johnnys and the reason for. The low review is this is all I ve eaten all day and this is my 3rd trip to the RR with Diarrhea no stomach cramping or nausea so it s not food poisoning but something wasn t clean or fresh for me to get diarrhea. I thought to myself ok smart girl the fact that you were the only one there should have been your clue to walk out. First and last visit to Johnnys Seafood Cafe. Not sure where the high reviews came from but it certainly wasn t my experience Worth a try if you like but I m done and don t recommend.

The gumbo was pretty good but a little thick for my taste. The oysters on my poboy were prebreaded and frozen. I went to this place because I thought it might be better than Baytown Seafood. Their gumbo was somewhat better but those oysters were not. I would love to find a place where I can get good fresh seafood and some potato salad to go with some good gumbo.

Servicing the local patrons and industry workers this eatery has a diverse menu with a strong Hispanic influence. The place is very populated during lunch hours indicating the food would be delicious. And it was.The prices are moderate and the portions are very filling. The nice lady took my order quickly and was very kind to me.

Great place to get some cheap hockey pucks! Just order a cheeseburger and they will put the puck right between the buns... the three stars are for the fries . Other than the food, the workers was nice and polite, i do admire that, and also the lady gave my 37 ketchup packets ty, ill never forget you.

Prices keep going up and quality keeps going down. They used to give you really good food cooked well now the cook (who I assumed is the owner) doesnt care about the food. We eat here a lot but my last 3 meals were not great. He lost the care in the orders, now its thrown around over cook or burnt. Gonna have to skip them for lunches for a while, if he gets back to normal Ill adjust my review. Yesterday (7/24/21) I ordered a fried chicken sandwich that was so overcooked basically burnt I couldnt eat half of it and the onion rings were undercooked so the batter was still gummy. There was no rush and no one in the restaurant so its not like it was busy and he had to push the food out, plus it cost $10 WITHOUT a drink...Hope it gets fixed.

They make the BEST hamburgers in town. Its a big, fresh meat patty. They put mayo, pickle, lettuce, tomato and onion. I ask for real brown grilled onion. It comes with french fries, all for $6.99, plus tax. You wont be sorry!

This place was surprisingly delicious. I live in La Marque and would drive to Almeda Mall for Pollo Asado. To El Rey de Pollo. And Im glad I stopped in this place to try it. The service was great and the food delicious. The Pollo Asado was very good. Big portions for the money.

Place had a stale smell upon entering. Ppl were working the kitchen like with a drill & all, yet while food was being prepared. Omelette was huge, no seasoning. Parts of the grill where they didn t clean it were in my omelette. Hash browns were undercooked & mushy. Gumbo was blah. There was some sort of collection bucket where the lady wiping down the beverage, condiment area stopped and took the bag out then went right back to wiping....Waste of money. This was clearly a case of DONT order over the phone. Walk in & check things out first! Not a repeat customer.
