Sad visit. Unkempt landscape in a city of gardens. Dry fountain on the front. Unwelcoming and despotic front staff made us just decide to leave immediately. Will not come back.

Went with the kids. They have two galleries that rotate a few times per year. Family day the 2nd Saturday of every month for free admission. Something special the first Friday of every month too. I think thats also free admission.

Saw the Tyler Collects and Melissa Miller exhibitions, both of which were fantastic. The museum itself is a bit spare, and a bit liminal, but on the whole, we enjoyed our visit. The staff were very welcoming.

I love this little museum. They usually have two rotating exhibits. They seem to change out every two months or so. Its a small museum, but its nice because you can really focus on the exhibits they have. Ive seen many interesting artworks here, and many that have moved me in a way I did not expect. Its worth a visit.

Was not worth the time or the money to go through only two exhibits...both very small. It appeared donors had emptied their dens of old photos and taken a good tax deduction to hang them in the museum...We were VERY disappointed. A recommendation would be to close this art museum and use a room in another museum to show what little art you have.

I went to see the Lee Jamison exhibit, Ode To East Texas. Congrats to the artist. The paintings were beautiful and I felt as if I was there in each painting with my own story to add. Congrats to the friendly folks at TMA for the wonderful showing and thanks for bringing it to Tyler.

The exhibit was enjoyable but did not feel welcomed. No friendly greeting, glad you are here, or how can we help. The question was why are you here?. Had to ask about exhibits! Ignored when leaving! No one else was there, so know they were not busy. This is not the attitude that should be demonstrated by the staff of a publicly supported facility. For such a nice facility and exhibits, staff needs more training on making guests feel welcomed. I know this has happened to a younger visitor who will not return.

I was working out at planet fitness and I have forgot that there was a art exhibition of African American heritage! I rode my bike here and I witness something very special and personal! I forgot that Tyler had a museum of art and I am glad I came I will be coming in member very soon but this is on the campus of TJC c and it is close to wagstaff gymnasium right across the street. You can access the museum of art via the green line and yellow line. It is a very little gym hidden away here in Tyler!. They have varying programs and showcases of different art from around the world!

Even though there nice paintings and photos here, this is hardly an Art Museum. It is more of a on campus art gallery for students, especially because it is located on the Tyler campus grounds

Great art gallery. I actually took a class where you go and paint some of the art work they have in there. Mine was not as good, but still an amazing experience. The cafe also has some great coffee and pastries.

The TMA is a great place to bring your family! On a normal day it is only $5 for adults and children are FREE! There is a free guided tour the first Friday of every month and the second Saturday of the month is Family Day. Which is also FREE! There are lots of really cool activities to participate in and the artwork here is great. I also love eating at the cafe!
