The chili sauce on the enchiladas was spicy for me as well as the tamales seemed more dry than they should have been. Margaritas are great, though super strong! Service was amazing, and the speed of service was great as well. The chicken and dumplings werent great either. More soup than chicken or dumplings.

Ive come here off and on for several years. Very enjoyable atmosphere to visit with others socially or for business. Service has always been a bit inconsistent for me. Sometimes the staff are quick and attentive, and others they seem like they cant be botherd. This trip Pecos was off their game. It was a little embarassing for me as I talked the place up before our arrival. Clearly an off day. My Cheesesteak had a re-heated warmed over flavor to it which was very disappointing. Maybe next time, Ill get the better experience I remember, only Ill stick to the Pot Roast or CFS for my next meal.

Waitress started off strong. Checked on us FOUR times. The next time she turned and walked the other way. Orders kept coming out in trays over and over, but not ours. Waited 45 minutes for our order to be told it got put in late. Very white only pies. We were the only Hispanics, and everyone who arrived after us had their meals. BEWARE. We walked out.

This place was recommended to me by an operator at the plant where I was working this week. I had the prime rib. What did Diablo beans and the season vegetables, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Sat at the bar being alone and enjoyed the company around the bar that all appeared to be regulars as the staff all seemed to know them. Was a little ride from where I stayed down by FM 1960 but I have to admit it was definitely worth the ride.

We eat out often. Weve always enjoyed Pecos Grill. But our last visit on 8/9 for dinner. The hostess was not friendly at all, not even how are you. The only words out of her mouth, how many? She showed us to the table nothing said! I would have liked for a manager to come around & ask how was everything? I would have told him about her unfriendliness. The waitress made up for it, she was very nice, friendly, & provided great service. Our dinner was delicious.

This is my second time here, both were large birthday groups. The service is subpar, one would think that with a large group of 22 people you would have more then one server. The place wasn t that busy, service takes forever to get drinks, taker orders. Ordered the prime rib, before I ordered the prime rib, I asked them if they had it. The server did yes, then almost twenty minutes later the manager comes and asked me if I wanted to order something else because there out of prime rib. They really tried to get me to order something else, and I would have if they just came back a a reasonable time like within 5 min, but to come back almost 25 minutes later and say they were out of prime rib is just piss poor service.

I ve lived in Tomball for over 25 years and I have enjoyed Pecos grill that entire time, it s the only place local you can get a good steak or it was. Four months ago I came in and got a chicken fried steak. It was so tough and grizzly. I took no more than one bite and walked out. A month ago. I came in and ordered two dinners to go. Both were beef tips over rice. The beef tip gravy is some of the best you ve ever tasted, but there was not one single piece of meat in either one of the orders. it completely dissolved? The third and last time I had a bad experience was two days ago I came in and got a steak. It look like they grilled it on each side just to put the marks on and drowned it it with liquid smoke again I took two bites and left. I wonder how many other people had the same experience as I did, but did not care to write a review but chose never to come back. I wonder what s gonna happen when saltgrass opens up a Store in Tomball.

Beautiful interior. Great waitstaff and chef. Both very friendly and accommodating. However, we got a tough steak. Very hard to chew, very hard to saw thru. It must have been frozen and possibly microwaved to thaw. Bread rolls were day old hard, not fresh. Fettuccine Alfredo was a bit runny and hard to manage with a fork... messy. Like trying to eat soup with a fork. Salads were excellent. A bit of a disappointment overall. No plan to return.

We ate here Saturday for lunch. I think our server was Abby, she was very friendly but the actual food service was very slow. I ordered grilled chicken with sautéed vegetables and fresh fruit. The chicken had ok flavor. It was indeed grilled, but it was dry. The vegetables were sautéed well in butter but lacked other seasoning, and the fresh fruit was not so fresh, half canned fruit and half fresh fruit that was getting soft. I did not eat the rice. My companions food did look pretty good, and they said their food was well cooked and well seasoned. Perhaps most diners order mostly fried food. I would probably dine here again but order something different. The decor and atmosphere was fine but the booth seats were old and cracked which was a bit uncomfortable.

its the best steak house hands down. The steaks are large, the prices are cheap and the seasonings are just right. I always order rare and its cooked how I like it. You cant beat a 12oz for 19.99! Service is okay. Its a hit or miss, depending on how busy they are. Everyone is always friendly. I only ever get steak or sirloin so I cant say about the other food items. Im sure theyre good too.

Pecos Grill has been our go to place for wonderful steak dinners until recently. The last few months the quality of the cut of meat and the aging seems to have declined. Also, our steaks have come out nearly rare when the order was medium. Even after sending back, the steaks are still undercooked. Tonight was our fourth time to be disappointed. Our server, Emily, was really great! Ordered the 16 oz prime rib. My wife ordered the 14 oz prime rib. Her meat was under done based on what she ordered. Mine was perfect. I had a side of seasoned rice. Rice was horrible. Way under cooked and had no flavor. Emily swapped it for the steak fries and had my wifes steak re-fired. All good now. My only other critique was the cracked upholstery on the booth benches. Time to reinvest in some upkeep.

Our tables food took forever to come out and all seemed lukewarm like it had been left under warming plates in the kitchen for 10-15 minutes. Our steaks were way overcooked. The flavor was good....Perhaps they wouldve been great if they had come out right off the grill. It seemed like they were understaffed to take care of overall restaurant needs. We go to Pecos often and it s usually pretty good. We got there around 7:30 last night and had to wait for a table (not a problem, it was a busy Friday night) once we were seated it took about 20 minutes for us to get drinks. We ordered pretty quickly but it took over an hour to get our food. My mother ordered the prime rib, it s her favorite, but because they took so long by the time they got to us they had to let my mother know they had just run out of the prime rib. This has happened many times now and usually she just picks something else but due to the terrible timing and service we will not be back. The catfish was almost not edible and my food was cold by the time we got it. The rolls were so hard you could use them to play ping pong and the fried mushroom should never be THAT chewy. What was once a great restaurant is now just disappointing.

OMG, the google reviews are correct. Reading them led to my wife and I stopping in for a visit. The restaurant is beautifully situated between oak trees off the highway 249 feeder road. When you walk through the front doors, it feels like the Big Cypress Lodge in Memphis, Tennessee. The bar is welcoming with tvs for you to unwind while enjoying your favorite drink with Laurie, the best bartender in Tomball. The sound systems plays a variety of music at a level that is pleasing without drowning your table conversation. We were seated immediately. Our wonderful waitress, Hanna, happily took our order and was attentive throughout our amazing dining experience. We started with the spinach dip which comes with tortilla chips and salsa. My wife ordered pot roast, green beans with macaroni and cheese. I had pot roast, boiled cabbage and diablo beans. We finished with carrot cake for dessert. Every bite was heavenly. Stop in and experience it for yourself. We will be back !!!!!!!!!

Severely disappointed. When we moved here and tried this place out I absolutely loved it. Started bringing friends here. Just had dinner and my steak had to be returned twice being severely undercooked for a medium rare. That was blue. Third time it came back almost well done. Just gave up and tried to eat it and couldnt. Wife gave me half her steak. There was a manager comp on the ticket however. No manager spoke to us though. Absolutely no fault on the waiter. My son and I meet halfway for lunch on some weekends in Tomball (which is an hour drive for me). So, being unfamiliar with the restaurants there, I just randomly select one. And WOW, I was pleasantly surprised and extremely impressed with my selection today!!! By far, THE BEST Chicken Fried Steak that I have EVER had!!! It was so tender and absolutely delicious!!! Even though the menu states it is served with white gravy, they were very accommodating and substituted ours with brown gravy. My sides were the Onion Strings and Steamed Vegetables. The Onion Strings were crispy and light.....not greasy at all! The Steamed Vegetables were exactly on point.....they were firm, not overcooked or mushy. The menu has a variety of nice options, but it is not so overwhelming because of too many options.....it was well-balanced. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality and the amount of food that we received on our plates. Honestly, it has been quite a while since I have really enjoyed such a wonderful restaurant experience (the quality of food, the service and the prices all lined up making it well worth the hour drive). We gathered here for a Sunday school class event. A little noisy but the best service by Hannah. I had smothered chicken. Delicious. Husband had chicken fried steak. We will be back!!

Came here with some co workers and the food was delicious. I got the ribeye which was cooked perfectly. The chicken fried steak was awesome and the Cajun pasta was delicious. I tried my co workers dishes. The chicken fried steak was big enough for 3!!! I will definitely go back!!

First time we went here we waited 20 minutes and no one even took our drink order so we left. Second time the server came right before we got up to leave. 30 minutes before we ordered food. The grilled shrimp tasted like lighter fluid and the beef tips and gravy over mashed potatoes was swimming in gravy. We will never visit again. The server was very nice and was trying her best. None of this was her fault.

I wish I could share pictures of our food, but I was really hungry and dug in! This is comfort food at its finest. The portions are so big I had to take half of mine home. The service was fast and friendly. The Diet Coke was not watered down like other places. The restaurant was nicely decorated but really loud. Thats the patrons doing, though. I wish it were a tad bit more quiet. We found a new favorite place!

Such good food, the spicy chicken fried chicken was actually spicy. The cheesesteak sammich was really delicious and the fried pickles were out of this world. Parking is a little hairy and it gets busy. Cant wait to go back!

For the most part, I love this place and the staff are friendly. Every once in a while, they are hit or miss on the food. It seems like its either absolutely amazing or meh; maybe a different cook. However, the staff is always friendly and inviting. They are very good at their job. And the restrooms are always clean and smell clean too!

Nice ambiance- perfect a date night or family dinner. Food was delicious comfort food. Tasted like Grandma s: made with TLC. Hanna s service was superb!
