My best friend and I are always trying new places and since I am in Conroe and she is in Katy, Tomball is where we typically meet. She looked up some places and found this one and we decided to try it because the food photos looked amazing and they had a great variety of foods on the menu. When we arrived we noticed there was plenty of convenient parking which is always a plus. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly on the bar side which was great for us as we were also looking for cocktails. Our server, Ryan, was amazing. Super attentive, friendly and offered suggestions. We ordered Connies Queso to start and our server suggested adding the fajita and it was amazing! The food took a little longer to come out but our server, and both owners stopped by to check on us and let us know that had some larger tables and the food was in the works. We did not mind at all because the atmosphere and the friendly environment created by the team was what was most important to us. We also ordered the Colimas Coconut Shrimp and it was delivered hot, fresh and was super delicious. As for the cocktails, my favourite was the Lemon Drop Martini. It was perfect every time. We did not try any plated food on this trip but plan to visit again so we can sample some dishes and we will definitely go for the breakfast. The owner sold us on that when he stopped by our table. This place is one you definitely want to visit, you will have a great time, experience excellent service and amazing food!

We got there at 12:30 and were seated quickly. Ordered drinks and appetizers as the same time. 45 min later still not appetizers and the 2 tables that had sat down after us had already received their appetizers and food. We brought it to the waitress attention and she went to check on it. I saw as another guy went and got his own refill. At 1:48 we finally got the appetizer and with food right behind. I was there for my first time and although the food was good the service was bad and we will not be returning.

Came in from out of town and was looking for a good breakfast spot to meet the family. This really fit the bill! The food was good and fresh, service was excellent. Our server was not only easy going, but attentive and funny and offered her own recommendations when asked. The only draw back initially, is that I thought I was walking into a bar; based on the aesthetic. So, not a great first impression, but that quickly dissipated. Nice, clean environment overall I highly recommend!

We visited the restaurant about a week after the hurricane and I was still nervous about eating out because refrigeration was compromised in the entire area. My son ordered a steak medium, which made me extremely nervous but he said It was extremely good and ate it all. To say this is not a steakhouse, this steak was cooked PERFECTLY, and I was quite impressed. My daughter had a baked fish and she was very pleased with it and she is very picky about seafood. Our waitress was bubbly and knowledgeable. She suggested the fried pickles and a special sauce and they were very good. The food came out quickly. Ive been here before , but just for drinks. The drinks are very reasonable and tasty. This restaurant is. Only six minutes from my house and they will definitely see us again.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our electricity being restored after being out for 8 days due to hurricane Beryl! I had been driving by this place for several years, and wanting to try it out. I had been told it was very good it did not disappoint. We started with the pretzels and queso which were excellent. My husband and I both had burgers, I had the American burger and he had the Rebel burger, with sweet potato fries. All the food was excellent but my favorite part was the frozen house mango margarita. I ve never had a margarita that was so creamy and smooth. Our server, Jordan, was amazing. Very pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back again!

I do not understand how this place has a 4.5-star rating. On Thursday, June 27th, the wife and I went to try this place for the first time. My wife got the chicken fried chicken with a Belgian waffle and only took two bites of the chicken and didnt like it. The chicken was chewy, the waffle was dry, and both items lacked flavor. I got the country fried steak with mash potatoes and fries, and let me say the fries were the best part of my meal. Although the steak had no flavor, it was edible with the mash potatoes but that was my mistake, I finished my meal but my stomach started hurting on my way home and at night it was bad enough that I couldnt even go to work the next day and also spent the Saturday recovering from food poisoning that I got from eating here. Others I have told about my experience have mentioned getting an upset stomach as well. I definitely would not be back to eat here again.

At the time of this review, this location had a 4.5 rating. I would say it is 3.8-4.0. The food is good, but not great. For example, we had two meals that had the Gouda palmetto, but there was hardly any on the dish. A missed opportunity to let that unique ingredient shine. The Jalapeno hush puppies were basically plain and the jalapeno was not noticeable. The fries were very good. The ground beef patties are well seasoned, to the point it is very noticeable. Not a total disappointment, but room for improvement.

Wow... Just wow. The Pasta Valentina is just delicious. Im going again tonight for the ribeye. The outside seating is so comfortable. The bar is stocked very well. The atmosphere and general presentation are nearly flawless. The server was very attentive and never hesitated to check in. Also, try the oreo cheesecake, you wont regret it.

Half my table liked the food, half didn t. The chicken was dry and rubbery. Our server was impossible to find. We nearly left the restaurant it took so long to get our order in but I flagged another server down who gathered our server. This had to be done multiple times during our time here. The restaurant only had a total of about 6 tables so it wasn t busy by any means. A manager stopped by our table to ask how everything was and we provided no positive feedback. She didn t seem to care and moved along to the next table.

Hello, I had an awful experience at Craft Grill the food was on the short end of all sticks but what really struck me was the young waitress. I do not remember the name but could be identified as an individual with dyed hair, big chess, and said she had just started out. When being served I got a swiff of marijuana just being around her. Then when she would only look down at her pad instead of making eye contact, her pupils were exploded. Like she was on some drug. Will I come back? Im always down for second chances.

Chris is so lovely! He came over in his bright shirt and patterned pants to check in on us and then told us about the apple pie. He makes the dough himself and the apples were fresh. The dessert was delicious!! Would come back just to have it again. The food was pretty good. They have a wide variety to cater everyone s tastes. I had the Florida keys chicken which came with two breasts and cilantro lime sauce. One breast was a little dry in one section. I would not recommend the mac and cheese, it was dry. My bf got the Dixie chicken which he said was good. The menu said to get the pickled jalapeños which were supposed to be no charge but we got charged for them. I didn t complain because of the complimentary dessert. We also tried the Texas sheet cake brownie which was pretty good but nothing compared to the Arkansas fried apple pie. Everyone was super helpful and friendly.

Excellent food! My family love the potato wedges and the burgers are truly grilled as a steak and taste like one (not a frozen patty). My son and I enjoy the Tvs for the sports. I had a very rough Monday at work, and was looking for a place to have some comfort food. From the moment I walked in everyone greeted me and was very friendly. The best part was the food. It was delicious. It is all my worries from the day, and it came out very hot and fresh. The Apple pie, which I am told is an Arkansas fried apple pie is the best apple pie I have ever tasted in my life. I have traveled the world eating different foods and desserts. This Apple pie is so light flaky and is fried to perfection. You can tell that the apples are fresh and of good quality, and that the pastry is freshly made. If you re having a bad day, you need to go have this Apple pie. It will make your whole day much better. I m definitely coming back to try other dishes. Thomas, my waiter was phenomenal and he made sure I had everything I needed. Again, you must order the Apple pie. I can t stare it enough.

The food was excellent. I had sea bass and grits. The service was mediocre. Our waitress was inattentive. When paying, she asked my friend if she wanted her change back and when she said yes, she shorted her the change.

Highly disappointed. I cant comment on the atmosphere because we ordered take out. The parking for this place is terrible, even at 530pm and the entrance to the restaurant isnt marked with a sign or anything. For dinner, I ordered the salmon fillet, chicken and steak fingers. The salmon filet was ok but lacked flavor and was 2 1/2 inches long) which I ordered ala carte to go with my Caesar salad. The Caesar, which I was looking forward to, was missing the croutons and cheese. With it, I ordered a little cup of the citrus vinaigrette on the side so I guess they decided to not give me the Caesar dressing,? I also ordered the Chicken fried steak fingers with gravy and the chicken strips with gravy but there was no gravy for either and the steak fingers were as big as my thumb. Neither of them had any flavor and the breading was soggy. I was really looking forward to this place because of the reviews but unfortunately we were HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. Im not sure that I would recommend this place but Id be willing to give it another shot, I think.

Skip this place until it gets a full revamp and well-trained management. Ive lived in the area for 7 years and try Craft Grill once a year or so, hoping something will change for the better -- it doesnt. The location is convenient so we tried it one more time last night. I will never eat here again. Monday night, 7:30/8 and not busy. Despite numerous waitstaff, we waited an inordinate amount of time for beer from the bar and were served large sized when we asked for regular size. We sent them back. Waitstaff noisily swept under nearby tables, clanging broom and dustpan over and over. I watched and never saw anyone wash their hands. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which arrived lukewarm. A manager-type in pajama pants and t-shirt stopped by and asked how things were and we let her know that we were unhappy. She offered to have our dinners remade, but neither of us were interested in waiting any longer to eat. Theres nothing of interest at Craft Grill. If the food was great, I could see ordering to-go, but its mediocre at best. The feel of the place is dated with dim lighting and dark, heavy wood interior which seems to appeal to much less discerning patrons. Theres definitely a managerial issue going on and given all the other fabulous places to spend time and money, theres no need to dine here.

Found this gem driving by one morning and was pleasantly surprised! Tucked into a small strip center & decided to come in and check it out. A solid menu with a variety of eats & a stout drink menu to boot! Though I came early for brunch, I may have to come back to test their bar while catching up on a local game. Plenty of TVs & I personally liked the dim lit setting. Now to the most important part, the food. Everything came out pretty quickly & everything was fresh! The Bama balls were excellent & the Southern sampler is a great starter as well if youre not sure what you want. All of the items were good but that Connies queso is the star on the sampler to me. Anytime skillet was amazing! At first glance, you might think the serving portion might be a little on the small end but with the fajita meat its hearty & filling. Packs great flavor & I would order this again for sure! The Texian burger was also fresh and decent in size! The fries were fresh and seasoned well! So if youre looking for a place to eat thats not a chain, this place will surely have something for everyone! Seems like it is Veteran owned as well so thats A++ in my book.

Tried to eat outside with my dog But there was another dog by the front gate that would not allow us to go inside the patio, and the manager did not ask the customer to hold their pet so we could sit outside, too. Bad service and no one else on patio Lost a customer that would have had other pet owners come as well . Lost lots of customers with pets So we ate elsewhere with better customer service with pets

This was a last minute dinner decision for my daughter and I. It was our FIRST visit and we were not at all disappointed. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and my daughter ordered the BBQ beast burger with fries. We also had fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. The appetizer came out quickly and they were not disappointing at all. Definitely a great way to start. Our meals came out soon after and what a fantastic meal. We were very pleased with our server. We will definitely be back

We ordered the Fundido as an appetizer. It arrived a bit cold. We would have needed to use spoons to scoop the dip onto the chips vs dipping into soft gooey melted cheese. We asked our waiter Ryan to please heat it up for us. We waited a long time for him to make the decision on our behalf that what he thought we really wanted was their queso/cheese dip. A totally different item. This is what he brought. We did not want this but ate it. He informed us that he stuck his finger into the Fundido that we requested be reheated and the center was warm in his opinion. Ryan seemed to spend lots of time talking with his customers while his coworkers cleared dirty dishes from his tables. It took a while for us to get our check because Ryan spent so much time chatting with customers. If we return to this restaurant we would ensure that Ryan was not our waiter.
