Whenever we are in the area, we like to eat there. The food is always great and a good amount for the prize. Usually, a bento is enough for an adult and a 6 year old kiddo. It has options for every taste. I can have sushi and my boys get a bento, teriyaki, or something else they like.

We typically go here for the teppanyaki (cooked in front of you) dinner. They also have very good sushi and you can order Japanese hibachi meals from the menu at standard tables as well. The chefs put on a good show and seem to really enjoy what they are doing. They are also open to serving what you want which is great. A great place for a special occasion or just a good dinner. Plenty of parking in the rear of the center. Parking: Park in the rear of the building

I have been going to this place with my family since they opened. Always on weekend for lunch. always used the lunch menu tepanyaky steak that is around $16, i considered a good value. Went yesterday and found out you cannot order that any longer, and have to pay full dinner price. somewhere around $29 for the same meal. they add 2 shrimp that we didnt want. Food was not a good as always. we all left feeling that we had been cheated of what was used to be a good experience. and general consensus of not going back to this place again

The best sushi place in town! This sushi place is amazing specially if you choose a Tepanyaki table because it comes a chef and cooks in front of you. We order 3 sushi rolls that were incredible, specially the OMG roll, also the gyozas were so delicious. We also asked for yakimeshi and a Chicken and meat Tepanyaki. I have to do a special mention to a spicy soya sauce that they make it s delicious! 100% recommended

I called Sunday 7/7 to make dinner reservations for my daughters 10th birthday, I asked when they closed and she said 10, I made reservations for 9:15 (husband had to work unexpectedly) we got there at 9:25 and were greeted SO rudely by the girl at the front with a nose and tongue piercing told us hibachi is closed but we could dine in if we order immediately. My daughter was very upset she was so rude on her birthday and we left.

Fantastic service! I have been to 4 locations now and they have all been good. This location the service was top tier but the food has been slightly better at other locations. The Yakisoba was too sweet but I will come back and try it again because every chef has a different flavor. As of right now the best Shogun I ve been to has been the one on Rayford.

Waiter spit in my lemonade didn t mean to come off as rude but I guess he thought I did and when he grabbed my lemonade to refill he gave it back and when I got to the bottom of drinking it I sucked up a warm foul saliva tasting liquid which made me gag I m assuming he took the cup, went to the cooking area and spit on the bottom before refilling it with lemonade, the hibachi dude was chill tho even though I knew he was using a fake Asian accent lol but it s part of the show.

Went to the Shogun on 242 a few weeks ago. This one was much better. Still, not 5 stars. Heres why. Walking in, tables are everywhere, turned at odd angles and pushed right up to the door. You can barely stand inside the door without being in the way. We even saw two guests being seated who had to straighten their table themselves. You can see into the kitchen from the front door. Ill just say the scene doesnt evoke a sense of confidence in the dining guest. The hibachi experience was great. The chef entertained really well, and the food is great! There is some lack of consistency from chef to chef but thats probably normal. Update months later: For a hibachi experience in the Woodlands, this is the place we still go to. Great lunch prices too!

We had a lovely birthday lunch here. Not only was all of the food delicious, the service was excellent, including bringing us plates to serve the cake one gal brought from home. I had the L3 sushi roll lunch. More than enough for lunch and took the rest home! Definitely recommend.

Without a doubt this was my favorite Shogun in the area and if I could have given it a 10 in the past it would have been a 20 Plus! I have not ordered in awhile as I have been traveling! Yesterday was the first time and honestly I was SO disappointed. I ordered what I normally ordered in the past. The only thing that was wonderful was the vegetable fried rice.The Fried Mushrooms were passable and so was the Crabmeat Puffs and the Philadelphia Roll. The Gyoza was like shoe leather and had little to no filling....the sauce was like watered down Soy Sauce AND the biggest failure was what I love the most...the Spicy Tuna Roll! There was so much wrong with it I dont even know where to begin! I asked for xtra wasabi..did not get it. The rice was hard and plentiful, the Tuna not so much and it was SO EXPENSIVE! Plus everything was ICE COLD! I should have known I was going to have a problem when I got to the order page....there was not I thing that had an explanation as to what it was...other than just a brief description. I guess its back to find an alternative Shogun!

We sat at the grill to enjoy the chef in action my husband ordered salmon which he enjoyed. I had chicken. The dinner came with soup Salad and steamed rice. There is an upcharge for fried rice. Price varies according to the meat selected. There is a wide variety of suci rolls as well as adult beverages. Parking is limited. We did make reservations for this area. There is table service. Lots of food. Took home a doggie bag.

Wonderful time here with my friends. Came in closed to closing and still had pretty good service. Great food place seems new and at the grill the chef was funny. Bring a tip as there worth it or dont spent the money to eat out at the grill they have general seating for that. Its very entertaining and enjoyable at the hibachi grill. The filets are my personal fav. Its also worth the drive to pass 2 to 3 other shoguns for this location in my opinion. Num Num

When we first walked in there was an entire Hibachi table that was dirty. So I was not impressed at first. However I was soon changed in my opinion. The cleaned that up shortly after we arrived. We were seated behind that table. The service was excellent. The entertainment of our chef was phenomenal! The food was superb. We are right in between 2 Shoguns. We used to go to the other one at Kuykendal and 2920. We have never had any issues there. But now that we have another one to compare it to.. I have to say, we will probably stick to this one. Everything was just a notch a above.
