I cannot say enough good things about Steve and his crew. After getting bad advice from other so called tax experts, I stumbled on to the Powell guys and found their expertise and knowledge impressive and reliable. Steve is a no nonsense man who took my case and with his son, Arron, solved it. No more sleepless nights, or confusion, and real down to earth answers. It s like sitting down with members of your own family and saying Hey, I need help! and getting it! The more the tax issue, the more you need Steve Powell. Awesome!

Steve Powell has served as my familys financial attorney for over two decades, and I wouldnt have it any other way. He and his staff are diligent, accurate, kind, and most of all humane. Life sometimes has not treated us so well, and Steve and his associates have invariably been understanding, compassionate, and helpful. Now, having relocated away from Texas due to my profession, we continue to have Powell Tax Law as our one and only legal financial counsel. They are the very best we have ever found after living in 8 states, and we shall be their clients as long as they will have us. You cannot do any better!

Steve sat down with me for an hour, looked over my situation, and explained what the IRS meant to communicate. I had no idea what the IRS wanted, they couldn t write a sentence if their life depended on it. They cut and paste statements that make little sense. I was ready to hire Steve and let him sort it out for me. He explained what the IRS wanted, confirmed it was correct based upon my return. He told me I didn t need to hire him. Wow! So helpful!! I will definitely seek Steve s services if they are needed down the road!!

I cant express what a blessing to have had Mr. Steve Powell represent me against my tax issues which I was facing! After many sleepless nights of worrying and praying, Mr.Powell was able to resolve my tax issues beyond my belief . All I can say about this law firm is Mr Steve Powell is a very professional and knowledgeable also very polite and sincere gentleman with integrity and most importantly a Godly man! As of April 22,2022 we have not had any resolution to our tax audits, we signed an agreement for services with Powell Law firm, when we first met him everything was pleasant an courteous and professional but that was it, so far no results. We paid 6000 dollars, signed the agreement in 2016, six years later no results, we found out a year ago that he apparently lost all our paper work,so we had to resubmit all our documents to him all over again.Since then still nothing. It s been very frustrating. So if I can do anything I would suggest to stay away from this law firm, if you want to keep your money and sanity.

Steve Powell and his staff are exceptionally knowledgable, talented and extremely effective with managing the intricacies of federal tax law. We had complicated issues regarding the unwinding, merging and sale of several partnerships and business ventures from current and previous tax years impacting our tax credits and obligations. Steve did a fantastic job analyzing all of that, explaining and justifying our correct tax obligation to the IRS Agents. Saved us a lot of money . Handled all conversations, correspondence and negotiations so that we could stay focused on managing our businesses. Highly recommend Steve Powell.

Steve Powell has saved us a huge amount of money. We were literally astounded. He is very nice, personable, bright and treated us like we were family. He figured out a way to cut cost by eliminating unnecessary filings. You know there are always people who arent happy with themselves so they gripe about everyone. You will love Steve Powell. I had a complete great experience with Steve and Aaron. I had a terrible situation with the IRS and the firm put me at ease with a lot of education and patience with my numerous questions. My case took close to two years to close due to the IRS dropping the ball and throwing up typical roadblocks. I was a basket case, but Aaron educated me and eased my mind the entire time. Its a scary ordeal dealing with such a powerful entity, but I felt totally confident with my representation. In the end, which was recent, I came out on top thanks to Aaron Powell and his father Steve. If I need help with the IRS again I will definitely use the Powell Tax Law firm again, and of course refer anyone whos looking. - Scott

MUST READ if you need a good tax attorney. Steve Powell and his staff are the best & most professional firm I know. Forget all the radio ADS these folks are amazing, they prepare and file your taxes and they take over all of your stress and anxiety, they do things right, know the complex tax law & show results. Ive used them for almost a decade and they gave us the best advice and helped us in many ways. Look no further, truly pros with compassion, but tough. Dealing with taxes is not my thing I thank God for a firm like Powell Tax Law.

Thank goodness a friend recommended Steve Powell to us to prepare our taxes. We had a several years of tax issues that were complex and technical. I visited Steve Powell with a tax issue in 2013. He took the many and stated that he would help. As a result, he did nothing, but postpone every effort he could have made. Despite my many phone calls to his office, he was always too busy to talk or he was out of town. It came to pass that the IRS place garnishment to my bank accounts twice and IRS contacted my Customers and order them to send IRS my account receivables, in which it destroy me and my business. I finally ask the IRS examiner why, she simply stated that Steve Powell was not complying with her requests and that she was totally ignoring her and would not respond to her phone calls as well. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM.

I recommend Steve just based on the phone conversation that my husband and I had over the phone with him. Had it been necessary we would have gone to see him but he gave great, sound advice. What I liked most is that he was truthfully. Great guy, in my opinion!

We were audited by the IRS for the years 2011 and 2012. They claimed that we owed over 160,000 dollars in back taxes plus penalties and interest. We called Steve and brought all the information he requested to get started. Finally three years later we settled for less than 30,000 dollars including penalties and interest. Steve is very intelligent and professional, he also has a very calm demeanor which is reassuring when going through the process. Steve was very helpful and gave us great advice in regards to our book keeping to avoid any future mistakes.
