CANNOT GO BACK! When management & ownership DO NOT CARE, it shows...repeatedly. Been multiple times as friends chose it. Apparently, for convenience and ambiance, not the food nor service. Over 5 years, the sushi ranges from average on a good day, to well below. The tuna, hamachi, unagi and more are average on the best day due to the low grade fish. Thus, their focus on rolls with lots of sauces to create flavor and cover the low grade fish. Last evening, the tuna in the roll was old and dye loaded. I like hot and eat natural jalapeños with seeds as a snack. Somehow, the spicy tuna roll was really hot, too hot to eat and clearly a means to cover the old tuna taste OR the chef does not know what he is doing (none of the chefs were Japanese nor spoke the language...who knows where they learned. regardless it is a never go back again...3 strikes) The unagi cuts were tiny. The size you see at an all you can eat sushi bar. Service? I was the only one at the sushi bar and the bar tender had to wait on me as well as cover the entire bar without a bar-back or any support. No one refilled the water the entire dinner. Bartender/server never checked on the order, my service or meal. Had to get his attention to get the check. When I mentioned the issues, he did not care. He did not care.

The food is very good but the service is very bad. We entered the place previously, we had spoken to make a reservation. We arrived and told the receptionist that there were eight of us. The receptionist told us that there were not eight of us, and then I offered to separate us into two. Tables 4:04 were four minors and four adults. He didnt want to separate us into four and the manager arrived and spoke very badly to us, the service was terrible, very abusive, the price is very expensive for what it is, they started complaining to us horrible

Upon arrival, we were seated very quickly. We were given one meal menu, and two drink menus. A rather unpleasant mistake but one that can happen to anyone due to overlooking and rushing. We were seated and given the opportunity to look over the menus, which I might add, were rather beat up and abused. They are currently made out of a thin paper that folds quite easily, and by the state of the menu we were given, definitely has been folded and mistreated in the past. Definitely would benefit the restaurant to update these menus to a higher quality material. After being seated it took approximately 10 minutes for anyone to come ask what we would be drinking. In facts, a different server had to come ask us if anyone had been by our table yet, which we replied no . This gentleman was very polite in our exchange, and took our drink orders. After another 5 minutes or so we were brought our drinks by our waitress. Unfortunately, she did not introduce herself to us or I would include her name. Our waitress was rather unpleasant. She did not refill our drinks very quickly, which you d expect from a restaurant of this stature. She seemed to be having a bad day and the attitude from it was reflected in her work. I get that bad days can happen to everyone, but don t let it negatively impact your guests experience. We ordered the Pork Belly Steamed Buns, a Rainbow Roll, and the H Bomb roll. The Pork Belly Steamed Buns were about a 4.5/10 for my taste. They seemed to lack any flavor other than the sliced chilis that were on them. The rolls however were very delicious. I would rate both of them a solid 8.5/10. I definitely recommend these rolls! All in all, I would have to rate Uni Sushi 3/5 due to the service we received. The food however, is definitely worth it.

Food is decent, definitely not as good as I heard it was. I ordered the teriyaki tofu entree, eggplant sushi roll and sweet potato roll. I feel they should work on their tofu as it had no type of crisp to it. Just very mushy and soggy. The veggies were not at all steamed well- literally hard as bricks, 0. I think it s crazy because I waited so long and the veggies were solid. The only items that were made well were the rolls so if I do visit again that s all I would order.

Place is very stale. The workers were not friendly at all. I was told over the phone that my bill would be $52 and then they presented me with a bill of $66. Before that, they got it wrong on the phone and said it was $21, until I said, That was for three rolls? The food was adequate, but nothing special. For the price, I dont know that its worth two stars. Really disappointed. I have been a fan or Uni Sushi for many years. The food is good, the waiters attentive and the ambiance really nice. Unfortunately a new hostess by the name Zoe was hired and she made me and my family experience a really bad day. She was rude, un polite, mean and borderline aggressive toward us this afternoon; she went to the extreme of screaming to one member of our party because we were trying to figure out how to seat a party of 7. This lady by the name ZOE clearly does not represent the interests of the owners, nor she adds any value to a place local people enjoys in Market Street.

My wife and I have been coming here for a number of years and we absolutely love it. Just ask how long some of the wait staff, cooks, etc have been working there and then you know youre at a solid establishment. Oh yea.... the sushi tastes great! The Jenica and Brendy are my 2 favorites. Also they have a great Old Fashion. Its not cheap sushi by any stretch, but the quality is where its at!

Very very very good food! So good, we went here twice in 4 days during the stay. Everything from gyozas, katsu chicken to sushi was delicious, but the best meal was the dessert - the fried Oreo with ice cream is a fantastic combination! Simply blew us away, again something we ordered during both our visits. It was that good. The venue itself is very nice, gets very busy during the evenings (had to wait at least 30mins) but it was worth the wait. Service was also very good on our first visit; the second time, it was a little lacking. Minor points to mention because overall a great place to visit in the Woodlands.

The atmosphere here is hard to beat. We went at Christmas time, sat out on the patio, they had live music on the lawn and it was relaxing with a great view and great music. Food isn t cheap, but it is good. We really enjoyed all the rolls we got and the sashimi. If you re looking for a nice lunch/ dinner spot this is a good option.

The food was good but very overpriced. The server was great. However, with what they are charging, please spend some of that money and do some major restroom updates! They were cleanish but very outdated and in need of repair. In one of the stalls, many people were tossing their sanitaries and trash on the floor, Im assuming, because the foot lever was broken. Go splurge on a new trash can! My husband said the mens was in the same condition. Also, please stop using the dollar store toilet air freshener/disinfectant it smells nasty. That smell makes me think of an old gas station. Not how I wanted to end my visit at this establishment. :(

Date of incident 06/24/2023 Time: 4pm A dear friend and I, decided to visit the woodland location as we have enjoyed other locations in Houston. Unfortunately as soon as we walked in we were given ugly judgement, maybe because we didn t meet their standards. Finally the hostess came over and seated us in a closed in area where we cannot be seen however there was plenty of seating in the main dinning area. We felt very discriminated by the entire staff. We were not even given the respect when asked to speak to a manager. We did let one of the staff members know how uncomfortable and dissatisfied we felt. It is very disappointing. I trust that the woodlands location will take my complaint seriously and look into this matter promptly. We decided to take our business somewhere else. God bless,

Unfortunately I did not have a great experience here. My reservations were for 2 for my birthday with open table. We did arrive on time and were promptly seated. My bf didnt receive his SODA until after the apps arrived. We ordered 3 of those. Then his chicken dinner was brought out 30 minutes prior to my 1 sushi roll. Our waiter explained that it had been accidentally ran to a different table, I was cool about it. But it still took 30mins? And I wasnt told this till after I received the roll. Then he disappeared for about 40 minutes, came back ready to drop the bill and seemed irritated when we asked for a dessert. We didnt love the experience at this time, and still left a 20$ cash tip. Then 2 days later we noticed the amount charged to the bank was different than we signed for? Nearly 20$ extra added to the card tip total. ON TOP OF THE 20$ cash. I called the restaurant and spoke to a supervisor and told him that the copy of the receipt we had didnt have that tip on there and asked for their copy of our signed receipt. He then told me he didnt have the signed copy, which is a lie, Ive worked in the service industry for years. He didnt even seem surprised, nor did he apologize. He only offered to refund the added tip. I told him this was my first time there and it was my birthday... and I felt like this was a serious problem. He told me THE GM would contact me, and still I have not heard from them. Fair warning to the public, keep your receipts and check what the final charge is. Update:: still NEVER heard from GM regarding this matter. Disappointing.

We dont make it out to north Houston much however we had to be in the area. Ratings were high so we decided to try it. The menu was similar to a very highly rated sushi place on Kirby. We tried hamachi jalapeno, millennium roll, and angry dragon roll and a few other normal plates. We were disappointed - all plates/rolls did not have any distinctive flavor, nothing that made our mouths pop. We were perplexed to understand how their ratings were near 5-stars. I have been to many sushi places across the US and make my own sushi. Uni at the woodlands ranks in the top for freshness and variety and presentation. I like traditional presentation with just enough fusion to complement (not overwhelm) the fresh fish, I thought they did a great job on that. Great service.

The sashimi salad with the ginger dressing was amazing. I cannot wait to return and I will have this same dish again. Great for summer. Healthy option. The miso and the rolls are great too. My daughters and I have been here twice, both times, great experience.

The food selection is good. The Uni was fresh and delicious. The spicy edamame was very good and served in a spicy garlic butter sauce. The Miso Soup was ok, not how Miso normally tastes. Nigeria selection is good and the fish is fresh. Overall a nice place, ill come back.

Went for lunch on December. Right before Xmas. The food was fine. The service a bit slow. We were a large group so we expected it to be slow. We split the tab in 2. The check came but only 1 of the 2 credit cards was returned. We went back 5 mins later. Asked for the card. They said they didn t have it. We asked to see the video from the security cameras and where met by a very very rude manager who told us he couldn t do that. What was left of our dinning experience was completely thrown out the window by the rudeness of the manager.

Like anywhere, it depends on what you order. I had an appetizer with sirloin kabobs that was very good. I also had the vegetable tempura and a roll. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of putting spicy mayo on top of my roll and it was way too spicy so I was unable to eat the roll. My server was amazing though!
