I ve dined at the other Spring Bloofin location tens of times and have enjoyed great, unique sushi so I wanted to give this location a try. This Woodlands location is impressive, and the dining experience was as good if not better! High quality fresh fish selections that you may only get here in Houston area. Our waiter, Andrew, was fantastic with describing their specialties and suggesting complimentary sake. The ambiance was very impressive and comfortable. Parking is a breeze with two parking garages across the street (and free!). If you savor high quality raw fish with selections unmatched, you should give Bloofin Woodlands a try! Parking: Easy with two garages across street and was free when I visited.

One of the best sushi place in the Woodlands!! Came here with a group of moms and had so much fun. They have a private room for a small party. I am sushi and sashimi girl, and the fish were so fresh here. so delicious. You must try fatty hamachi and salmon belly and toro of course :)). They were so good. I also ordered calamari appetizer and mushroom appetizer. They were all delicious but forgot to take the pics.. :(( One of the mom ordered ramen and said it was so delicious.

Food is of excellent quality and service is great! Price point is high, more justifiable for the new Woodlands location but not as mush for their Spring location. Made a reservation to dine on the back patio which we had to wait for a bit when we got there. The wait, came to find out, was because they only have about 4 tables on the patio. The location is great as it s right on the waterway but seemed the patio needed a face lift.

Stopped in for a quick bite before the concert. Glad we found this spot! The food was over all delicious. Bloofin #Sushi is worth a visit. Highly suggest stopping in during their social / happy hour. Monday - Thursday 5pm-6pm or Friday - Saturday 3pm-6:30pm The first star of the night and a MUST order is the #Edamame with everything. Spice, Garlic, Truffled!!! Omg you ll love it. The #Japan imported fish was a welcomed change. The yellowtail belly is one of the items we d recommend if you enjoy Toro. If you want to play it safe for a first visit, the shaggy dog is the way to go. Their #freshness was on point, flavors were great. The Foie Gra Scallop is one of our favorites, we order at every place we can. However, this was a miss for us, but didn t take away from the whole experience. If we are back in the area, we will definitely be back to try more items. Until next time. Parking: There s a parking garage directly across from the restaurant, however its entrance is for valet only. The next one is very small. May have trouble finding parking during prime hours.

We are usually patrons of the Spring location but recently noticed this new location and it s closer to home. The Hostess was a pleasant familiar face who always has an elite level of professionalism paired with her excellent customer service. It makes it easy to understand why shes the first person you see when you walk in. Our server Anna, was also a phenomenal server with great listening skills, fast service, accommodating and super sweet. The manager/and or Owner was also very welcoming. We will definitely be back.

We have been to the other location on 99 many times, and if you know what to order, there is no question, Bloofin is the best sushi north of Houston. I have to say, this location is even better than the original at least in terms of fish available and its quality. There is a large selection of fish flown in from Japan that you will not find any other Japanese restaurants nearby. Just in Houston, and it is quite a bit more expensive there. The service was good, but a tad slow. It was totally fine, but the restaurant was mostly empty. I can imagine on a packed Saturday night the service may not be up to the standards of the food. The Toyosu menu of fish is just amazing. If you have had real sushi before, you will love Bloofin. The rolls are surprisingly great despite the hefty price tag. Oftentimes , Im disappointed by rolls at restaurants that excel at fish selection. But I can especially recommend the Kings roll. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed our first dine in experience.

We enjoyed Akami, Peppercorn Tuna, Ch Torro & Kampachi. We also enjoyed the Houston roll, however my one note on the this roll is the Salmon dominates the flavor. They have authentic Japanes beer on draft and fantastic Japanes whiskey as well. We will be back with our friends.

I would like to take the time to commend my very favorite restaurant in The Woodlands, TX. The food is delectable, and the service is impeccable. I have been blessed to be in the area with work and share this incredibly enriching restaurant experience with so many of my loved ones. My favorite dishes: the Ribeye with bone marrow, tomatoes, mushrooms, crostini, au jus, Ishiyaki on the hot lava stone, Lobster Crab Ramen, Shaggy Dog, Cherry Pepper Calamari, Oyster Mushroom, and Olive Oil Citrus Manifesto Cake with orange slice and Strawberry Gelato. Many compliments to Jarros, Nidia, Mamika-San, Eliza, Keilani, Anna, and a host of amazing others!! It is my hope that this review encourages you and yours to go and dine at Bloofin Woodlands and that you have an awesome time. The people are so sweet and genuine... Jarros (sp.) is an amazing manager, and his staff, like the food, is a cut above. Thank you, everyone, for your kindness and making every visit unique and special. Have a blessed day, and I cant wait to come back. Margaret, Awilda, Tosin, Mommy - Barbara, Sis Hilda, and all my loved ones.

This is my first time going to The woodlands location. I truly look forward to it since it was a little bit closer to me than the spring location on 99. However, I wish I had not made that mistake. The atmosphere is great. Beautiful restaurant but thats about where the talk ends. The food compared to the spring location on 99 is very subpar. I have read other reviews that said they dont know if the sashimi is fresh and I question the same thing. This location is released for you to spend more money and not have the same options as the one on 99. If youre going to come here and you really want to enjoy the full experience of the food, go to the one on 99, save some money and get better food and more options.

Bl fin in Hughes Landing (Woodlands) 9/10 Had a great experience! Started with the wagyu skewer which I would call a must try for any beef lover. I had some mixed Nigiri that was delicious while the wife enjoyed a California roll. Entrees were the chefs choice Nigiri, Wifes plate was the salmon. Both were wonderful, the Nigiri takes you on a pleasant flavorful journey. The wife loved the salmon and the sides elevated it that much more. Dessert was the olive oil lemon Manifesto. It came with a raspberry sorbet and was an excellent finish to the evening. Drinks ordered: Old Fashioned: the OF was made with a Japanese whisky I chose and was well crafted in a simple manner that let the whisky really come through Sake Perfect Storm: a sweet and cloudy very approachable high ABV sake that went well with the Nigiri Agave Raindrop: bright, refreshing and well crafted. Made with tequila, elderflower, lemon lime and Itchi. The wife also had a glass of white wine that she enjoyed. Service was attentive and informative. The bill came out to about $240.

They had the best sushi and fresh sashimi, some foods are reasonable price, but some foods are so expensive. I ordered Kawa-Saki box $36 I choose beef and Chilean sea bass. I got a very small fish and 3 small slide beef. This is too expensive. Wine is $19 per glass. We paid almost $300 but still not full. We have to go eat other restaurant after that. If you sell foods and drink reasonable price. You might get more customers come back to your restaurant more often, but the price can be made less customer to come back. We waiting for the bill about 15 minutes. Hope you will make it better. Thank you.

10/10 Experience. The manager Jaros immediately made us feel so welcomed and kindly offered to provide guidance & recommendations for a bottle of sake. We obliged and the recommendation he provided tasted amazing. Jack was our waiter. He provided exceptional service and was pleasure to speak to. We will ask for him anytime we revisit. At this location you can expect a more fine dining and upscale experience compared to their Spring, TX location. The hamachili appetizer was absolutely amazing and so fresh. The nigiri pieces we ordered were incredible in taste and quality. Each piece had its own unique garnish on top which subtly adds to the already delicious flavor profile. Bloofin has a unique dry aging process (12-14 days) for their tuna and salmon and you can tell this has a very positive effect on the taste and tenderness of their sushi. The spicy, chopped scallop nigiri was the best Ive had. The tuna, salmon, flounder, and snapper were our go-to choices and were all just incredible. We normally drive down to Westheimer to dine at Uchi for sushi of this quality and we are so excited to finally have a place in The Woodlands that can provide the same quality and variety of fresh sushi we desire. I urge anyone who loves sushi to visit this location and experience it for themselves.

Nigiri pieces were hit or miss on freshness, size of fish for Toyosu selection was a little small. Hand rolls were a great value, good amount of fish for the money. Probably one of the better higher end sushi restaurants in The Woodlands area but not as good as other options in Houston such as Uchi, MF Sushi, Kata Robata, etc. They were only open for 1 week before we went, so they could improve over time.

We stopped in by chance on opening day for a late dinner. We sat at the bar and were promptly greeted by Andrew or server. He was polite, engaging and readily told us that there were a few things on the menu that were not yet available. He left us to our menus, but was nearby to answer our questions. The manager at the bar, Brian, stopped over to introduce himself and we were pleasantly surprised when, as we were undecided on what to drink, he opened some of the japanese beers for us to try before we made our selections. We found this delightful. We had a few beers, some spicy garlic edamame, ichi-go nigiri sushi, the hughes landing sushi, a california roll (real crab, fresh avocado, and a very thin layer of beatiful rice), and a couple of lychee martinis that were the best Ive ever had. Everyone was really friendly. Im sure it is stressful opening a new restaurant, but were really happy with this new version of an already favorite of ours. We will continue to go to the spring location with our family, but will make the woodlands location one of our go-tos for date nights. Thank you to Yaros, Brian and Andrew as well as all the staff for a thoroughly enjoyable date night for my husband and I.

We were there for a soft opening. They have some things to work on. Service at the bar was decent from manager on duty. When it came to getting the check, everyone disappeared for like 15 mins. Supposedly handling some training, however you still have paying guests. Also be careful when they make suggestions. They asked us if we wanted fresh wasabi. Well of course we do, however they don t tell you they will be charging you $10 extra for it. The menu was small, but the prices were not. We have other sushi options but for the price we will stick with our local faves. Wish them luck, but glasses of wine at $19 and lack of communication need to be worked out. Good luck guys, but first impressions when paying as much as we did for very little food, need to be spot on. If you aren t ready to perform, don t open up. Why would any reviewer post a 1 star review for a restaurant that hasnt even opened yet? Hopefully this 5 star review will help offset that unwarranted 1 star.
