We went there yesterday 9-19-24 and first of all employees had a baby and a 3 year old (or there abouts). My wife enjoyed the Chile Rellano, but I had a Taco and Burrito Combo, the Taco shell was thick and hard, but the burrito was so spicy I couldnt eat it. I wish Marble Falls or Kingsland had a Mexican restaurant worth eating at.

You walk in and think this place is going to be great. I ordered a breakfast plate. The potatoes were unseasoned and watery. The beans tasted awful. I had 2 or 3 bites and left. Nothing worse than an awful meal to start your day off.

I ve eaten here since 1997 and love it. Got the vegetarian black bean and avocado tacos with potatoes on corn tortillas this morning. Dressed these up with salt, their salsa, and some fresh lime juice; I appreciate that it s up to me how much salt goes on. Highly recommend and will be back.

Simple food, simple decor and one of my favorite, cozy, little hole-in the wall eateries for breakfast in Georgetown. The owner is very sweet. Other reviews seem to be hit or miss but I have never had a bad meal here. Highly recommend for a quick breakfast before work.

Best Mexican cafe in the world. I love the environment, people, and the food is just icing on the cake. Every part of this establishment makes me feel at home. Georgetown has lost a little of its culture because were growing at an unprecedented rate. But Rio Bravo has been here since Ive been a little boy, and its still delicious and welcoming as ever.

Great customer service, and the food was ready fast. I tried the carnitas, which were amazing. It was just meat and tortilla, and the meat was very tender, not what Im used to when it comes to carnitas but it was still very good. Bean, Cheese and Bacon taco was great, and my wife enjoyed her potato egg and cheese tacos. Salsa was good and spicy for a red salsa. I will definitely be back for more.

This is our absolute favorite Mexian food restaurant in Georgetown. Family owned and operated. Their breakfast are adorable and delicious. But the lunches are absolutely delectable. No matter who you are or how often you come in you were greeted with a smile, and treated like you are the best customer ever. The service is quick and efficient. To yourself a favor and make this your new Taco Tuesday location. Their breakfast tacos are the best full of flavor and made to order. They also have amazing vegetarian options. Vegetarian options: The black bean and avocado on a corn tortilla is epic. But there are also a variety of other vegetarian options.

First time here. Definitely my last. I went off reviews thinking ok lets try it. Nombre....... Went for lunch. Ordered from lunch menu and still paid 40 dollars for 2 people. 1 soup and a 2 enchilada plate. Im all about being conservative but really? Gonna serve customers on styrophone plates? Those that give this place 5 stars dont know authentic Mexican food. Food was bland. Guacamole salad was a styrophone bowl filled will almost frozen lettuce and almost frozen avocado slices. I wanted salad not slices. Owner was not so friendly while checking out. Kindly asked if they were from Mexico cause again this was not authentic. And it seemed as if I offended her. Response was a look followed by what do you think? Lol..... Ok lady. Just asked. And yes she is. So nope. Not going back nor recommending

Had lunch delivered. Nothing looked very appetizing at first. The carne guisada plate really looked a mess, but tasted fantastic....every bite eaten. Only recommendation would have been 3-4 tortillas instead of just one...it was a lot of food for just 2 flour tortillas. Picadillo tacos were NOT picadillo....they were seasoned ground beef . No potatoes. No onion. No tomatoes....no anything other than meat. We ordered them on corn tortillas and unfortunately they did not serve them on two layered tortillas..just one, and of course the tortillas disintegrated before the taco could be eaten....what a huge mess. They were very salty, but I added fresh spinach at home and it evened out the flavor some and they actually ended up being a truly fantastic lunch. As for the chips and queso... This was way less than what we expected. I feel it was just unseasoned, melted Velveeta watered down....it was runny and blah.....worst queso ever!!!! Ive not had their breakfast tacos, but Id be inclined to try them, but I will never ever get their queso again....avoid it...it is less than okay...really a shame!! Ive debated 3 or 4 stars...the queso was really bad! But my son says the lunch plate was exceptional, so 4 stars it is.

Very friendly neighborhood Mexican restaurant, that has been here a long time judging by the old photos on the walls. Order at the counter and they bring you your order. I had the Migas for breakfast, served with very flavorful refried beans and potatoes. I wish the fried potatoes were more fried. Food was good and will definitely return.

Were new to Georgetown and looking for a go-to breakfast spot that is delicious, quaint, memorable (for good reasons), wont break the bank and worthy of recommendations. That said, our first trip to Rio Bravo on the Friday after Thanksgiving was just okay. We each had the migas plate, one with chorizo and one with regular sausage added in. The migas and beans were tasty but the potatoes were pretty bland. The little container of red sauce helped but could have been chunkier. I read a lot of mixed reviews about this place but always like to see for myself. Well probably return at some point but I think were still in the hunt. Maybe next time well stick with the tacos.
