A great spot for diner-style breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the location is very accessible. Its nothing fancy, but we love its tasty dishes, consistent quality, and charming local diner vibe.

Tried a scoop of the chicken salad and threw it out after one bite. It was massively salty and runny. The chocolate chip bagels have maybe 3 chocolate chips in the whole bagel. I m heading to the other NY bagel restaurant down the street from now on.

After going to 3 different places to get a bagel l was so excited to try Brooklyn cafe. I ordered on the app, a plain bagel with cream cheese drove 30 minutes home to open up my food and it be wrong. I called and they offered me a free meal but unfortunately I wasnt going to drive all the way back up there and they said they would email me a coupon and did not do so.

Very disappointed. I ordered from here for the first time. Ordered the Blueberry French Toast Special. It is supposed to have powdered sugar, blueberry puree and whipped cream on it. We got plain French toast with a couple of raw blueberries thrown on top. Also got hashbrowns and they were mushy and tasteless. Pretty bad for the price we paid. I would not recommend.

The Brooklyn Cafe is a local landmark in The Woodlands that has served breakfast, brunch, and lunch to Panther Creek since 1994. This place is about as close as you can get to a small-town diner, with a staff that recognizes the regulars and regulars who are always happy to see the staff. They offer indoor and outdoor seating (with shade), which is always popular for pet lovers, cyclists, and those gorgeous winter days or those brave enough to weather the summer heat. Rain or shine, theres usually a line, and takeout is a popular choice. The food is in line with a small diner and overall good; everything is made on-site, but the bagels can be hit or miss. The low prices make it popular for groups and families, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Your order is placed at the counter, while coffee, tea, and soda are self-service; your food and specialty drinks are delivered to your table. You should clear the table yourself to be polite. There are places in The Woodlands to get a tastier bagel, perhaps, but no place that feels more like Coming Home to The Woodlands.

Ive been eating here for over 20 years. It Used to be delicious. However, its declined severely over the past several years. I absolutely love bagels and there arent very many good bagel options near the woodlands so I keep coming back hoping that theyve improved. Unfortunately, thats not the case. I ordered through DoorDash today and this was the sad sandwich that I received, not only did they completely ignore what I requested on the sandwich. The bagel itself was tasteless and barely cooked all the way through. And the top half was in 3 pieces

I came here on my perpetual search for the elusive perfect east coast bagel and was pleased with this find! Unfortunately, I did not try any of their coffees or other meals so I can only leave a review on their bagels. Came here on a Saturday close to closing and wanted to see if they really did make New York style Bagels. Im always on the search for bagel that is true and made the traditional way. Some bagels out there are nothing but nasty fluffy white bread through and through and should just referred to as a nasty bread donut. Fortunately, these were great! I purchased the everything bagel and brought them home to toast and try. Their bagels are correctly made, as they are boiled and then baked so on the inside, they have a nice chewy almost gummy texture and on the outside and nice crisp crack to them. The everything bagel topping/sprinkle was very good, although I will say it is a little bit heavy on the salt. I definitely recommend Brooklyn Cafe for their bagels! Theyre good honest East Coast style Bagels and for only about $1.50 each its a good deal! Not sure what the price is for other things added to it but bottom line its a good bagel.

I really dislike it when businesses whip around an iPad with preset tip percentages. Luckily, I haven t experienced one in a long time. Unfortunately, I did today. I am fully capable of calculating and entering my own tip amount if I feel that one is deserved. Brooklyn Cafe offered options of 20% and 22%. This is not an amount that I would ever leave on a to go order. Today was my first and last visit to this establishment.

We were looking for something close by after a doctor appointment, but most things were closed before 11 oclock but we were happy to find that the cafe was open. Not only was it open, and the parking lot very full, but it was absolutely packed on a random day of the week. I wondered how busy it gets on the weekends. We came in through the wrong door and the line was actually up to door at the correct entrance. And here I thought the parking lot was full because of the gym next door and peoples New Years resolutions were still swinging. Nope-- its the bagel place. I was impressed by how fast the line moved because even though it was crazy long (and as soon as it finished another line made its way back up to the door again), they quickly got peoples orders with the cashier bouncing from one check out to another. I didnt see my childs macaroni and cheese, but she also got a brownie and said that it was good-- as long as my kid doesnt complain I have no complaints . I myself got an everything bagel with cream cheese. I saw someone else get a bagel with cream cheese and it was loaded up so I was happy thinking that mine would be too but for some reason it was light cream cheese which kind of annoying but I didnt check until I had got to my car and had to run. The guy next to me did order his cream cheese light, so they might have mixed them up, or the person at the table I saw ordered extra. So now I dont know whats an appropriate amount of cream cheese. Either way, kind of disappointing. I also got an iced decaf sugar-free hazelnut latte and Im happy that they were able to accommodate for that Im always trying to find places to have more sugar-free options in their coffee. I actually like the ambience of this place, it seemed very old school with the tile and the black & white color. I actually like when cafes and diners look like people actually visit them instead of the cold, stark personality that most have nowadays because its just deterring for me. I either want something that looks old school or to look like a Grandmas house and this place was great. I see lots of bad reviews for this place, but obviously its very busy and even though we didnt actually get a full sit down meal this time, I was happy that we have this option close by. I would like to return and try out some of their brunch options.

Everyone was so focused working and I got my food fairly quickly. Worth the wait! Support local This place is bustling with people in the mornings on the weekend. Theres a line to the door when I got there. After you order, the cashier gives you a number and theres couches or tables for you to wait at. Theres also many seats outside. It would be cool if it was livelier, like Brooklyn but I loved the vibe either way

I ordered two bagels, some cream cheese, a Coke, and a southwest wrap To go. I watched people that ordered after me get their food before me. It took 20 minutes for the wrap to come through the kitchen window. As I stood at the counter to ask if the wrap they just stuck in a bag was my food, I was completely ignored several times by three different employees. (Apparently phone calls are more important than the customer standing in front of you.) I had to specifically ask somebody twice to please look at the bag and see if it says number 24, so I could leave. I have never felt so insignificant in a restaurant before. I paid over $30 to be treated like I didn t exist. Let s not forget to mention the food is over priced. I will never go back.

The everything bagel was too salty but the cinnamon raised bagel with raised walnut cream cheese was amazing. The caramel snickerdoodle coffee was great too. I stopped in for lunch with my family on the way to our son s soccer game. We ordered three sandwiches, a bagel with butter, and French toast with bacon. The bagel my daughter ordered was caked with butter and flavorless. No biggie, everyone can t get it right all the time. I ordered her a chocolate chip cookie and moved on. All of our food arrived at the table with the exception of the BLT sandwich. Since we were pressed for time, I asked if I could get that sandwich to go while my family ate their meal. The manager assured me it was eight minutes out. Perfect, I can eat that on the way to the soccer game and we ll be set. 10 minutes later a separate employee tells me it ll be an additional four minutes. OK, we can make that work. I still have enough time to get to the soccer game on time. Five minutes later, my family starts heading to the car. We re getting pressed for time at this point. I m hovering over the counter waiting for my meal but we re out of time at this point. I inform one of the people behind the counter that I have to go. His reply has simply oh, I m sorry. No offer for reimbursement, no manager involvement, no care or effort. There was a half hearted attempt to ask me if I wanted a refund when I had one foot out the door. I just left. We spent $90 on this visit. I ve been going to Brooklyn Cafe since they had a location on the west side of town off of memorial and Dairy Ashford 20 years ago. This was my go to place to get bagels. I ve heard great things about Fuhgedaboudit Bagel Company. After 20 years of loyal patronage it s time for us to part ways.

This place is pretty packed at lunch, so I decided to try it. The salad is your typical, bagged mixed greens with dry shredded carrots. The chicken was overcooked, flavorless, and dry. My soup was cold. The service was awful. I say this primarily due to one specific server. They had green olives as an add on option on the board and I ordered some for my salad. I was also charged for them. So, when my salad came, I politely asked for a side of olives since they had forgotten to add them. She snapped back at me and said we dont have olives here. So I pointed to them on the board and also told her I was charged for them. She responded ok, we dont have any. She did refund them. Not once did she apologize for their oversight or ask if there is anything else she could get me. She was more concerned about chatting with her friends at the bar. Needless to say, I will not be back.

Ive been coming to Brooklyn since I was a kid, Ive probably eaten here more than 50 times in the last 15+ years. Im a very loyal customer and I have always (and will always) love this food. Their in-house cream cheese is spectacular and Ive watched them get creative with bagels and recipes over the years. Their age-old staples never disappoint. When Im in town visiting family, I always stop by. The prices are fair (the wraps are a bit too pricey however). Big fan of the atmosphere inside. All that being said, Brooklyn Cafe is incredibly inconsistent in their service and efficiency. These are things that should be addressed by the owner and managing staff. Out of the dozens of times Ive eaten here over the years, about a third of the time I endure an outrageously long wait, and maybe a quarter of the time my order is wrong. I have seen the staff get quickly overwhelmed during peak hours and mess up peoples orders. Hot food will build up behind the counter and Im guessing thats where the link breaks and things end up in the wrong bags. People ordering in-store will get their food earlier than people who ordered before them - sometimes long before - and customers pick up on this. The staff can get flustered and not communicate with customers so its not clear whats going on. Things become inefficient too often. I know the front of store staff is young and theres a decent amount of turnover - and again, the food is consistently delicious. But I need to bring attention to these issues because its been a problem for years. I never know if Im getting my food in 5 minutes or an hour. Today I waited 50 minutes and got the wrong order, and was told a certain bagel was out of stock as I was getting the rest of the food (instead of as soon as they realized). Thankfully a woman who appeared to be a manager stepped up, apologized for the mistakes and wrote off the receipt. Too many other times, however, Ive just had to deal with it. 4/5 stars for the best bagels in The Woodlands but unreliable service that has had problems for decades.

Brooklyn Cafe is probably the best bagel shop in the area. The bagels are very tasty and always fresh. Their sandwiches, whether breakfast or lunch are amazing. But keep in mind the restaurant does get very crowded early in the morning especially on the weekends. There is plenty of parking as its located in a shopping center. Guaranteed youll enjoy your breakfast.

Such a cute place to come eat, it s been around a long time, at least 20+ years. The blueberry bagels are delicious! The cold coffee is even better. The guy who owns it is a woodlands local and employs local kids. If you ve never eaten here, you are missing out, so check it out!

Came in on labor day to some great service. The place was full of people but they still managed to prioritize each and every costumer. I had the cinnamon toast crunch bagel special which was to die for. They perfectly turned my favorite cereal into a sweet treat. Highly recommend coming here especially if you like pumpkin spice everything- the latte is bomb.

I liked the place a lot. Weve ordered inside and the weather allowed it to sit on their patio there. They brought our food to the table and were very friendly. The bagels are really tasty (both sweet and salty ones) and the other items as well. The hashbrowns were just a bit too oily but besides that everything was satisfactory

Even after reading reviews, I still wanted to give this place a try. Sadly, it wasnt a great experience. It was Labor Day so Id imagine it may have been busier than usual, but stood in line about 10 minutes before ordering. Most of the staff seemed as though theyd rather be doing anything but be there. As we went to find a seat inside, a couple of the tables we went to sit at had several flies around them (I get it, the front door was probably open more than normal due to the line) and just in general the interior looked a bit run down. We got our lattes about 10 min after we sat down, however it was 40 minutes before we got our actual food. All we ordered was a couple breakfast sandwiches on bagels. The sandwiches were passable but nothing to write home about. For nearly $30 I expected a bit more.

Absolutely disgusting place and service. I wish I could give this place a one star. I placed an online pick up order at 9:30 am. Said it wouldn t be ready until 10:15. That s fine, I walked in at 10:20 and they said it wouldn t be ready for another 20 minutes. I said huh? Why? The girl said they re super busy with only 5-10 people inside waiting for food. Not only did they not have half of the bagels that I pre-paid for, but they also refused to give me a refund for a drink I bought. They refused to make it. I asked several times where my drink was and they didn t respond to me. They just ignored me and rolled their eyes. If I m paying $40 for bagels, I expect better service than this. What an absolute disgrace. Everyone who works there desperately needs an attitude check.

My family and I just moved to the Woodlands from New York. We miss our bagels and have been looking for an authentic bagel spot. This was not it. Bagels are not NY style bagels. They were pale, under done, way too soft and missing flavor. Texture was way off as well. We had their plain and everything bagels. Having said that, I can t speak for their other food items. My family of six all ordered bagels and were all disappointed. My toddler wouldn t eat it and he loves his bagels. Overall I give their bagels a 3/10 As for staff, they were fantastic. Super helpful and attentive

I havent eaten here in years but went recently for lunch. It was delicious. I had the chicken salad on the Everything bagel, nice light summer lunch that was filling. The chicken salad was great, but the seasoning on the Everything bagel was perfectly balanced and addictive! I also ordered the iced Brooklyn Twist, it wasnt overly sweet and made for a nice afternoon drink. Service was fine, not much to complain about there due to the fact that you order at the counter.

Expensive but used to be worth it. Its gone downhill since pre-covid. Cream cheese (I order plain) seems to be always cross contaminated with another flavor (like they reuse knives to cut or scoop more). They will sell the bagel you order if others ordering at the same time, or even after you. You then need to pick a new one or reorder. Used to be my weekly go to. I just cant justify it anymore. Sincerely, a former regular.

Called in the order and picked it up and it was ready just when they promised. Order the Santa Fe sandwich on the everything bagel toasted. It was everything I was looking for. It is a manly sandwich. Not that a woman cant eat it. In this day of age we can all eat the same sandwiches. But it was hearty, spicy, and salty with the everything bagel. I highly recommend this place for relaxing much and delicious bagels.

Really wanted to love these bagels. Being a New Yorker you know what a Brooklyn Bagel looks and tastes like. Ordered the Bakers Dozen through DoorDash only received 12 and they were hard as a rock, pale in color couldn t even cut through them without a very sharp serrated knife. Tasted stale , ordered in the morning so in my mind they should have been fresh. FYI just because the name says Brooklyn doesn t mean they are ! Not even close , honestly HEB bagels where way better ! The cream cheese spreads were really tasty.

Staff avoid eyecontact when youre trying to get help and are too shy to help customers, mumble and walk away mid sentence. Adding one star back because one of the servers came and gave me a $5 gift card as an apology for the delay and a strawberry bagel. I guess just make sure they actually get order into the computer.
