I really did enjoy my food and the staff was nice. I had the Ruben and a Margarita. Sat at the bar while Jess made me a perfect Margarita. The bread was toasted to perfection and there was plenty of meat as well as a nice balance of Swiss cheese. I removed it because I forgot to tell them no cheese. The fries were nice and hot. I ENJOYED me meal.

We had a brunch reservation this morning and sat on the patio. Several servers walked by our table, even to the table next to us, and never acknowledged our existence. After about twenty minutes of that, we went and sat at the bar. The service there wasn t much better. The food was good, with the exception that we each had one egg cooked to order, and one overdone. On the fence on whether I would return.

First off props to the kitchen staff they were banging out orders during a busy Saturday morning! Unfortunately the actual food was sub par. The spicy chicken sandwich was not spicy. The pickles on the sandwich were so heavy with coriander it tasted like a Christmas tree. Nothing special about it. Prices were more hiked up than the quality of the food. But thats what you have to expect from grandscape. No need to return.

EDIT: I tried this spot again for brunch and I had a great time! Bumping up from a one to 4 stars! I was here on NYE 2024. The chicken sliders were refried and the jalapeño pepper jack burger and fries were awful and sadly we got two of those. Ambience is great but steer clear of the disappointing food and service.

Came here for an anniversary and birthday celebration and it was a great experience overall! The food was delicious, the staff was really friendly, and the overall atmosphere was great. They even brought out some ice cream with a card signed by the staff to celebrate!

We tried this place one evening while in the area, we were greeted right away by Ansley who seated us once a table was found. Our server Savannah was very helpful and attentive. We started with the Fried Pickles which were cooked to perfection. I ordered the Rueben Sandwich and my partner ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich off the special menu. Both were very delicious and very large portions. They have a very large beer draught menu and some very good mixed drinks. The restaurant was very clean as were the restrooms. Our food came out in a timely manner and was hot and delicious. We cannot wait to return to this restaurant the next time we are in the area. Parking: Shared parking lot that on a weekend evening can be very difficult to find parking and may need to go to the overflow parking which is a hike.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The service is friendly if not a little slow, but in return you get done really good tasting food, especially if they consistently serve it hot. The fries are fantastic since they re fresh cut fries, and the chicken tenders are outstanding! They re a little spicy due to the black peppers, and they re crispier than most, but the meat is fresh & big & juicy which is what I love most about chicken tenders. Definitely recommend to anyone who visits Texas and easily one of the top 10 best restaurant I ve been to in this state.

After looking at reviews for The Thirsty Lion, we decided to celebrate a birthday at the the restaurant. We entered the restaurant and I informed the hostess that we had a birthday. We ordered a total of 4 cocktails, a beer, appetizers, and three dinners. (the blood orange cosmopolitan, fried cheese curd, and ahi appetizer were amazing!) The service was good. I recommend Thirsty Lion. The food and drinks were amazing! I want to give Tim Carlos a mention in my review. We had an issue that he resolved in a professional, thoughtful, and caring way. We are going there for another birthday this weekend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Thirsty Lion. The prawn appetizer and burgers were delicious with very generous portions. This was an anniversary lunch, and we had a schedule to keep. Our entrees had been held up a bit, and the manager, Aaron, just happened by to see how everything was going. Aaron was amazing! He made sure we were able to finish up on time, and got to celebrate a bit in the process. We have found a new fave place! Btw, if parking is a challenge for you, look for the underground entrance, and park at the far end of the garage. It puts you right next to the restaurant when you emerge topside.

Manager on duty absolutely ignored our table of 7. We had a simple question to ask, but instead of acknowledging our table when we said excuse me sir . He walked right by and didn t follow up with us. He would continuously walk by our table, and go to what I am assuming is an office on the second floor. (Where we were sitting, right beside that door). I hope his manager or another manager can provide some customer service coaching to him. (8/20)

Celebrated my dads bday here and it did not disappoint. I will say the parking sucks especially when its 106° out and you have to walk forever for parking because the spots near the restaurant are full. Keep this in mind especially if you have elderly in your party. Started off with the blood orange Margherita which was really good and refreshing. The Moroccan coffee drink with the 4 different alcohols was good but nothing special. A bit too sweet but not bad. The table ordered spicy cauliflower, queso, and Brussel sprouts. All very tasty but the queso portion was a bit too small. I would not recommend that one. For entrees, we ordered the steak salad cooked medium and the fish and chips. The salad was good but the steak was way too tough and chewy for that price point. Do not recommend. The fish and chips however was the winner of the table! Big, moist chunks of flaky fish with a nice batter and yummy tartar sauce. We really enjoyed this dish and highly recommend. My father received a free bday chocolate cake slice which was actually pretty amazing! I would order that for dessert. The service was great and the ambiance was nice. Not too loud and seats were comfortable. All in all, I highly recommend this place as the menu is very diverse and everyone can find something they can eat and will enjoy! Cant wait to go back!

The 4 of us went on Friday at 3.45pm. While the food and service was good, the music was so loud we couldnt carry on a conversation. There were few people in the restaurant, why they found it necessary to drown out the few peoples conversation which were there, I dont know.

First off this review is not about the quality of food here. Everything I have tried here is delicious. The 3 stars is for the brunch menu. The fact that the Scottish eggs are not on the breakfast menu is hard to understand. It s literally a breakfast item which they only serve after 3:00pm. Please fix this

We got sat upstairs here for lunch. The host was very dismissive of our 7 guest party as soon as they decided we would be sat upstairs. The service was terrible, our server forgot many things and was not attentive to us even though it was not busy. The food is pretty good and it s reasonably priced but I wouldn t go back based on the service alone.

Solidly good experience at this easygoing place. Great service! (Thanks, Katelyn!!) The Hefeweizen beer is very nice, and they have fun, colorful cocktails, plus tasty non-alcohol drinks too. Food is above the usual restaurant supply pre-fab stuff because of added flavors and good preparation. The spicy cauliflower appetizer is probably our favorite. Atmosphere is pleasant, some booths and tables. If you sit near the entryway, youll have a view of the ferris wheel. Note that this is more of a lounge place and not really for kids. Parking is nearby, but on busy evenings, it can be a scramble if youre desperate to be super close to the door. I do wish they had more handicapped spots. On a Tuesday night, they were all full. Overall, a great place to meet friends and catch up. Wheelchair accessibility: Not enough accessible parking spots, you may have to wait for a spot. Surface of parking lot and entry areas are level and easy to navigate. If you are using mobility devices like scooter, wheelchair or walker, it should be no problem.

Wanted to have a get together with a group of friends so I called to ensure they could accommodate since there would be 15 of us. When I spoke to the young woman who answered the phone, she said they could not make an official reservation since it would be a Friday but that I could come ahead to put our name on the list and wait. The day came and was told if we wanted to sit inside (mind you it s July in Texas) it would be a 2 hr wait. If we wanted to sit outside under their canopies, they could sit us when all of our party arrived. Not sure why they didn t explain this to us when I called especially when I told them the day and time. Food was good and the drinks were ok. The service was fine considering they had to keep coming in and out to check on us but they overlooked some of our party when they took our food order so they had to wait even longer and still got the order wrong. Not impressed enough to say I would return.

Excellent food. I tried a little bit of everything that was ordered. I went with the Gochujang BBQ pork and kimchi fried rice. The BBQ pork had a nice smoked flavor to it beneath the sauce. The fish and chips were meaty and the breading was very light and crispy. Spicy chicken sandwich, bacon wrapped prawns, tuna roll, calamari, and the cauliflower was a nice surprise; none of it was bad. Service was quick, staff is friendly, and facilities were clean. Overall I am a definite repeat customer if I am in the area.

We visit the Thirsty Lion every time we are in Dallas. Great atmosphere and location. Fantastic food and one of a kind drinks. The pretzels are a huge favorite of my husband. I prefer the fish and chips which are always perfectly cooked and moist. The fries are amazing. The multiple TV screens offer your favorite sports teams all while dining in an upperclass sports environment, which also has an incredible brunch.

Went yesterday evening, and it was packed. I didnt make a reservation, which I will do next time, but we waited maybe 30 mins. Food was well worth it. Had the cheese curds and ended up ordering a second plate ( delicious), hubby had the fish and chips, and I had the Goucher pork worth kimchi fried rice with a sunny side up egg. As a person who doesnt eat eggs, I ate the egg. I busted the yolk and mixed the egg in....game changer. Emily was our server, and she was wonderful. Will be back for sure!!!! Vegetarian options: I think there are a few options. Parking: Parking near the restaurant is tricky but theres an underground parking and a short walk.

Neat outdoor area...did not eat outside since it was too hot though it would be great in cooler weather. Menu was diverse to appeal to lots of different tastes. The pretzel with 3 dipping sauces was a good appetizer. The California Roll was just ok (I doubt it was made fresh as the rice looked like it had been frozen and thawed and there was too much rice and not enough filling). Drinks (cocktails) took forever to get and service was a bit slow. We canceled the order on my 2nd drink because were ready to check out and finished eating and it had not come yet. I ordered the Raspberry Drop and it was ok, but not the best craft cocktail. There were some very loud people at the bar with a lot of yelling so much so that another table of women near us asked to be moved to another location. I would try this again as there was enough to get us back in the door again but I would change up some of the things we ordered and hope that service is faster next time.

Would rate zero stars for service if possible. Waited 10 minutes at bar to make first order; less than 10 people in entire restaurant, before happy hour All subsequent orders required flagging bartender and waiting. Finished third drink at 4:00 pm, put card in snifter with tab and waited more than 20 minutes. Started waving menu and finally caught attention of a bartender. Again had to wait to pay out. In 2.5 hours after lunch, I had a 20 oz and 16 oz beer, both 5.5%, and one Old Fashioned. My spouse had one 20 oz and two 16 oz beers, all 5.5%. In same time period, the couple next to us had at least four martinis. I dont think the bartenders were trying to slow down our drinking rate. Manager at host stand did NOT want to hear about problem even though he walked through bar area four times while we waited to have anyone notice we no longer had a drink or that credit card was in brandy snifter with tab. Rudely stated we are done. I was not profane; just stated displeasure with service. Will never return to any Thirsty Lion.

I have seen this place but never thought about going. Gave it a try and wasnt impressed. We told the waitress that it was our first time. She failed to mention the Happy Hour food/drink specials. Which runs every day after 3pm. Be sure to check it out. Prices are better than the menu, of course. Allows for you to try more options at a reasonable price. There is plenty of seating outside but not a single fan insight...it is Texas... where are the outside fans? There is also an outside upstairs patio with no fans. Happy Hour food options I tried were: The California Roll had no taste, thank goodness for the sauce that came drizzled on the plate. That helped A LOT. The artichoke spinach dip was not creamy for chip dipping. It was thick and lacked flavor. The BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp was good, I would get that again....if I ever come back, but Im not interested at this time.

Beyond their obvious specialties like beer battered fish, wide choices of beer, and lively environment, I found their surprising food gem was the Napa cabbage Cole slaw! Chicken was great, but it seemed everybody had the same fried chicken even though the dishes were different. I had the chicken and mac. Went to Grandscape location for my husbands birthday. Adam was our server. He was great, very attentive and friendly. He recommended the Tuscan Romano Chicken, and I was very happy with it. We had The Ahi Poke stack as an appetizer. It is the closest to hawaiian poke weve found so far in TX. I was impressed with the flavor, the only thing was that parts of the rice was hard, could tell it was older rice so it was a tad disappointing and the portion was smaller than expected, so I personally, wouldnt order it again. Aside from that we all enjoyed our entrees. Would definitely return and recommend.

We had a great Mothers Day brunch at Thirsty Lion Gastropub at Grandscape in The Colony. The chilaquiles were excellent, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp were a hit! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making our special day even more memorable. A special shout-out to Claudia, whose attentive service made us feel exceptionally well cared for. Everything from the delicious food, the beer & drink choices, and the prompt service was spot on. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Raquel was such a sweetie. She was very attentive and on top of our needs. My husband brought us here for a late Mothers day lunch. She made a cute connection with our 5 year old daughter, who wanted to order her meal and drink on her own. We are in the Big kid phase Lol. Raquel didnt mind it at all. We loved the food and the atmosphere. The Happy Hour was AMAZING (which is EVERYDAY btw) and so were the drinks !! Raquel will be the reason we drive an hour just to come back. Kid-friendliness: Because of our waitress she was on top of our childs needs. Something that can make the experience better: for the Littles would be a small pack of crayons/kids menu that they can color. Keeps the tiny humans busy, while the adults are able to enjoy their meal a bit longer.

Very cool place. Our kids (4 and 6) loved the outdoor space. The food and service were excellent as well. The Kung Pao chicken and chicken mac and cheese were great. Kids chicken was so good I could have just eaten that. Highly recommend.

We had the best experience at The Thirsty Lion. The food was incredible! We all had different meal choices and all 7 of us loved our dish. We also had the chips and cheese / cheese curds. We loved them both. Ana was our waitress and she was awesome. We felt well taken cared of throughout our meal. Lastly, we were celebrating a birthday and they gave the birthday girl a huge desert and a signed card by all the employees. We were blown away and will be back.
