Dining at Davio s is the ultimate dining experience! It s not one I can afford often, but for a special night with friends, it s worth it. Our server was Michael, and he was excellent. The popovers, of course, are a novelty we all enjoyed before moving on to the beet salad and spring rolls. I had the braised short rib, which all but melted in my mouth, and my friends had the sea bass and loved it. This time I couldn t resist trying the Brussels sprouts, and I m glad! They were amazing! Then we chose three desserts - the apple cake was the winner - but they were all wonderful! We had lots of take home bags, but that s fun too! The only thing I would do differently is either go earlier or go on a Sunday to avoid walking so far to find parking. Grandscape on a Friday night is very busy.

Not 5 star service for white tablecloth. Took our server more than 5 minutes to greet us after we got seated. I had to ask the hostess to help find our server. The steaks came out good. The GM, she had a slight attitude and awkwardness and was not friendly when asked to visit Red Phone Booth. Even that process was delayed. She made the experience very unpleasant and non conversational walking to the RFB.

I cannot recommend Davios enough! Our birthday celebration last night was truly unforgettable thanks to the amazing service from David and the exceptional food. From the perfectly cooked veal chops to the delicious apple butter cake, every dish was a culinary delight. The ambiance was perfect for our group, and we left feeling completely satisfied and already planning our next visit. Thank you Davios for a fantastic dining experience! Parking: It gets very busy, but there is free parking or valet available at other restaurants nearby.

Update: I still love eating here but I have to reconsider. I will never ever order Japanese A5 from here again which is the highest 3oz quality steak for $80. What we were served was tough like regular steak compared to A5 which is supposed to be buttery and rich so we were served some other cut without being told. Not cool. We were having a nice dinner with the family and the A5 was supposed to be a nice treat on the side that everyone could have a bite but we didnt want to deal with sending it back. Service was great and everything else we ordered was great. Just dont like being taken a fool. Dropping the 5 stars to 3 given that this is an expensive mistake. ------ I just had a wonderful dining experience with my daughter whos turning 17. We were supposed to see Elton John but the show got postponed again, and we still wanted to go out for dinner. Instead of heading into Dallas, we were able to get reservations here. Our server Jeremy was very attentive, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was excellent. I love their menu! I cant wait to go back and try other dishes. Tip: if you cant decide between two pasta dishes you can try both!

Our waiter Christian was charming and amazing! We had a member of our group with a gluten allergy and she was amazed at having a full gluten free menu with TONS of options AND gluten free bread! She commented on being able to eat gnocchi after not having it for 20 years! Our food was amazing as well as our drinks from the bar - were definitely coming back! Dietary restrictions: The gluten free menu at Davios is extensive. They make all their pasta from scratch in the restaurant and we asked if that applies to the gluten free menu and IT DOES!!!

The service was very poor. we had to ask several times for everything we needed, salad dressing, butter, refills on our drinks,etc. They kept forgetting about us. The best part was the popovers -they were incredible!! I also appreciate the free valet parking which made things a lot more convenient. The atmosphere was wonderful, spacious bright and lots of windows. I had a chicken pasta dish which was MEH. And the salad was soggy. I took one bite and left it.

Had dinner here with my SO a couple times, service varies depending on days. One time it was too notch, but other times, items were missing from food, and when told I will have it soon it took more than 10 minutes to arrive. The menu has a wide variety of food to order which I enjoyed. Overall around a 6/10 dining experience, would go again but not in a hurry

This is the perfect place for a nice dinner. Unfortunately I was so busy with my friends that I forgot to take some pictures but believe me, every dish was amazing. Service was quick and very attentive. My personal recommendation is the salmon, absolutely delicious, leave some room for dessert, everything was delicious. Worst experience EVER! We had a CONFIRMED reservation, but apparently reservation at Davio s doesn t mean what it means everywhere else. It just means you wait until they can seat you. Waited more than an hour to get a table. Food is extremely overpriced. By all means go to this restaurant if you want to pay over $100 per person and get terrible service

This place is THE place to visit, wine and dine. Our visit was one to remember and solidified our go to place now. Samantha was pleasant and had an absolute attention to every detail in our dining experience. She made the best recommendations and was very well versed in the menu. Our food was exquisite and perfectly polished. The pairings were well thought out. Cooking is an art that invokes all 5 senses. The chef is an absolute artist! Finally Jacqueline Egert is distinguished in her role. Shes an asset to this location and we are pleased to have been able to meet her. If you re in the area, this is THE place to dine. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended.

From start to finish, everything was perfect. We had the crispy chicken liver and the tuna tartare for apps. My wife had the Tagliatelle Bolognese, Braised Veal, Beef, Pork, San Marzano Tomatoes and I had the 6 oz Center Cut Filet Mignon, Grilled Prawn, Creamy Potatoes, Asparagus, Béarnaise. We followed that up with the Baked Alaska and the Apple Butter Cake. All of which were excellent. They were fast and friendly. A great place to celebrate our anniversary!

Davio s most definitely qualifies as a great spot for date night. I made the mistake of parking close to Scheels but know there is valet just outside and across the road from Davio s. No worries, the walk wasn t too bad but good thing I was in heeled boots and not my stilettos . Davio s is a large, bright open space but my date and I were still able to have conversation without straining to be heard. We ordered tuna tartare as an appetizer which was just ok but for dinner I had the scallops and cream corn and let me tell you it was DELICIOUS! The corn had so much flavor. Yes, I know traditionally you d order white wine with a light dish or fish but I believe in creating your own rules, therefore we had a bottle of Conundrum. It never disappoints (psst also makes a great gift)! This restaurant earns my recommendation!

Our waiter James was great. We were given popovers to start, which were delicious. We ordered gnocchi as an appetizer and the crab cake, both which were very fresh and the sauces delicious. We both got different steak for dinner, and finished it off with the chocolate soufflé for dessert. Everything was delicious, and the service all around was great. Extremely slow and unprofessional service. Never checked in to see if we needed anything. Had to wave at someone every time we needed something. Took our orders wrong. When serving, they didn t place the right items for right guest. It s like no one made any efforts to serve us. No steak knives were served with our $90.00 steaks. We had to ask and wait for knives as we saw our already cold steaks getting colder. it was a struggle to get any service at all. On top of that they force added gratuity because it was a large table, which is fine but for that gratuity we expected some service. Horrible! Will never return again.

My wife and I made reservations for our 19th wedding anniversary and could not have been more pleased by our experience. I had put on the reservation it was our anniversary and from the door, everyone addressed us by name and wished us a happy anniversary, even the chef who brought the meal to the table. Oscar, our server, was very attentive and personal, taking care that we had the best experience and addressing the couple of questions we had. The menu was an outstanding collection of dishes that I only wish we could have explored further; we got meatballs as an appetizer and both chose the special of the night, which was the Filet Oscar. Food was horrible, it was so salty you couldn t even eat the food. Sampler spring rolls were not good at all and Cesar salad had way too much dressing. Ordered medium rare steak that was over cooked and too salty, lobster dry and salty, mash potatoes, Brussels sprouts were too salty. Ordered pasta supposed to be spicy, not spicy at all, cold and salty. We had so much salt, couldn t even enjoy a glass of wine because we ingested so much salt it made the wine taste salty. The only thing that was good was the bread, dessert and our waiter. Manager took off the dinner plates from our tab because we didn t eat much but made no attempt to make our experience better. Our anniversary was ruined, felt so sick afterwards and we still paid too much for bad food. I asked other guest, if their food was too salty, they agreed and didn t eat their food as well. Waiter also had other complaints of over salted food. Very disappointing serving food knowing about the complaints, not fixing the problem and continue to serve horrible food.

Ive heard so much about Davios from friends that I could not wait to sit down and enjoy a meal here. Ive heard all of the compliments about the beef, but we could not resist their seafood options. I had the chilean sea bass, and my friend had the scallops, which she called the best she has ever had. If you need help trying to figure out every detail of their menu, you need to ask for Madeleine. Her recommendations for pairings was perfect. Being from Central Florida, I am a seafood enthusiast so after recommendation, I order the the cold seafood tower which was not on the menu. Will to my surprise the price was outrages and being from Florida food was not not fresh, so BONG on that. Service was excellent; the establishments food and pricing is ridiculous.

Madeleine was by far the BEST server that i ve ever had! She is extremely genuine and her knowledge of the menu is exceptional. Food was amazing and the dessert presentation was very detailed, including the options for guests who are gluten free, or those that may potentially have an allergy. This was our second time dining in, and we had Madeleine as our server the first time, and we had to come back to see her and get a great dinner at the same time. Everyone was very amicable, starting at the bar, to being seated, and getting served our courses. Amazing atmosphere to be in and dine in!

Wow, an incredible experience. Service was top notch and on top of everything. Food was beyond belief good. Do yourself a favor and go!!! One thing to note, (not restaurant problem) parking is a nightmare, arrive early and self park. All valets were full for 6pm reservation.

The service was great, but the food tasted terrible. It was like eating a frozen dinner heated in the microwave. There were 4 of us eating and with two desserts..cost $400.00. Definitely NOT worth it! Go to Ruth Chris s Steakhouse before coming here. That s all.

Love this place! Say at the bar instead of a table, which was perfect. The food (braised spare ribs) and Italian margaritas were incredible. Cant wait to go back. I would love for Grandscape to fix the parking situation - I parked in the garage and it worked great but few seem to catch on to that option.

Excellent gluten-free AND regular menu, to please all in our party. Their fresh baked (regular AND gluten-free) was a nice treat. The Lobster risotto and tuna special were delicious. Very happy with our early dinner visit. Not too busy, wonderful service. Will definitely visit again, when were in the area. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, in my experience, safe for Celiac. Kid-friendliness: Kid menu was available, didnt order off of it for celiac kiddo, but it had some nice options .

This place is amazing! Its easy to find great food in the metroplex but its not often you find excellent food, excellent service, and an amazing ambiance all at the same location! I dont think you can find a more attentive and caring staff. They truly made our celebration dinner something to remember. Jacqueline, Sarah, Austin, Chris, Sam, and the rest of the team are amazing at what they do and have created something special at this location. On top of all of that, the wine and food are delicious! All around this is the place to go for an amazing dinner and experience!

Elegantly surprised!!! We stumbled upon Davios after deciding against a restaurant close by. The esthetics are elegant open-concept, Euro-traditional, with clean lines. The pre-rush hour atmosphere was welcoming. The Staff from concierge to management (who came to acknowledge my shellfish allergy) were personable, knowledgeable, and professional (beyond todays standards, in my opinion). They have an extensive list of cocktails and starters. Their variety of Oysters from northern regions (delivered that day) did not disappoint. I am a former Chef so, I tend to be a tiny bit prejudicial when it comes to Steaks. I ordered the Stip Steak (aged 55 days to perfection!), my daughter ordered the Bolognese Pasta, and we shared Parmesan Caesar Broccolini. Every element of our meal was a win. We were pleasantly surprised with the entire meal and dining experience. Dietary restrictions: The Server, Chef and Manager acknowledged and came to gain an understanding of my shellfish allergy.

The steak was amazing! The aged Strip was perfect. We had Blue cheese mashed potatoes that was also amazing. I was not crazy about the salad. I wanted a side salad and it was more like a meal with egg in it. The blue cheese flavor on salad was terrible. The broccolini was to burned and was inedible.

Went here for our 40th anniversary based on reviews. We were in the area for another event and decided to check out Davios. Waiter spent entirely too much time explaining the menu. We opted for an appetizer and drinks before ordering. The meatballs were good but not something we would go out of our way for. Unfortunately, our waiter was spending too much time on his phone to notice that we could have used another drink. I needed to wave to another wait person to get his attention to let him know we were ready to order. Salmon was perfectly cooked and the dish was delish. Hubs had the lobster risotto. We both agreed it was just ok. Good wine selection but the stand out of the meal was the pop overs. When I made the reservation I mentioned that it was our anniversary, not to receive anything special or on the house just maybe consideration of seating since we were there so early. I know that shouldn t be expected but did we have to sit with the view of CVS? Anyway, the restaurant is beautiful, modern and clean but the food was just ok and the primary waiter needed more experience. I d recommend for happy hour at the bar.

Greeted at the door by the manager and hostesses. Randy, our server, was attentive and great. Offered gluten free options. Food and drinks were delicious. Recommendations were spot on. Manager came by the table and checked on us. As we were leaving, they got the door for us. Fabulous experience. Favorites: bread, butter cake, RISOTTO, and all drinks (4 stars because its pricey, cant go there every weekend )

Really not impressed for the prices they want to charge. I had the Penne, Applewood Smoked Chicken pasta dish. The pasta and sauce was nice but the chicken tasted like it was just cut from the deli and put into chunks. Nothing done to it at all for 30 I would have liked more flavor. The bread was delish and service was friendly. Great atmosphere and most important clean bathrooms.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the upstairs private room at Davios. The food, drinks, service, and views were amazing! Everyone had a wonderful time and the evening went very smoothly. Hands down, my favorite restaurant in The Colony. I have eaten here a half a dozen times and each time it never disappoints. This fine dining option is one to be loved by the WHOLE family. This was the best date night dinner my wife and I have had in a long time. It all started off with a friendly person greeting us as soon as we walked in and quickly seated us. Our server Randy was very knowledgeable and took his time to answer all of our questions. The calamari was a great start to our meal followed by an amazing steak with mashed potatoes. We did not have any desert however the drinks we had were amazing. Overall, I would say this has to be one of the best places to eat in the DFW. Vegetarian options: The menu has plenty of options for everyone. Parking: Valet is free and they also have plenty of lots to self-park. Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome but Id say its better for adults. Wheelchair accessibility: Grandscape is where this amazing restaurant is located, and they have access throughout the area for wheelchair accessibility.

For our 17th anniversary, my husband made a reservation for the 2 of us. Our reservation was for 7:45 pm. We waited for over 30 minutes to get seated although we had a reservation. The entire time we waited, we noticed others coming in then opting to leave. The other thing I noticed was that while we sat waiting not once did anyone apologize for the long wait, offer water, etc. After being sat, the waitress took forever to greet us and when she finally did, she took our drink order - I swear our drinks took about 15 minutes to finally get to us.. she was gone the entire time. She gets back; oh by the way, no clue her name cuz she never provided it, we then gave her the appetizer order, we elected to give our dinner order cuz at the rate this was going, we d be there all night. Luckily our movie was at 9:40 and just a quick walk-but still. We were finally served with a basket of bread (roughly 15 minutes from being sat). Our The drinks were saving grace for this place in the end but I digress. We got the app (grilled octopus) which we get anywhere it s served. This was not good.. the sauce was wrong, the cook on the octopus was bizarre; it was cooked thoroughly (boiled it seems) but the flavor was weird and kind of gummy more so than what is expected of a grilled octopus-did I mention how bad the sauce was? Dinner arrives, by the way, not once had ANYONE filled my water glass-I found something soo simple to do.; I ordered lobster risotto and husband ordered Chilean sea bass on top of an asparagus risotto. I ve made risotto several times and honestly done better with fewer ingredients. Speaking of ingredients, if that was lobster in my risotto, it s an imposter!! There s NO WAY, that was lobster or if it was, it was old. I m no Chef Ramsey but I ve seen and cooked enough to know excellent food- this was not. My husband s dish was better. So while all this was going down I noticed a few things about this place: 1. Service was super slow 2. The staff is unorganized, oblivious, and lack communication to sustain a happy customer experience 3. The staff are not working as a team otherwise, 1 & 2 wouldn t be a huge problem -our waitress as well as other staff seemed in the weeds and this place wasn t that busy (a few big parties but not enough to warrant the horrible all around service) 4. The kitchen seemed to be the only thing pushing plates out (although not delectable) 5. The bar has great drinks but also super slow and not worth the wait Dessert: there wasn t any because while she showed us the dessert tray, our waitress couldn t keep her tables or self organized well enough nor was anyone helping her (while others were seen leaning and scurrying about frantically ) which you could say - maybe she didn t ask for help. Well that s not the restaurant business. 1. You have time to lean, you have time to clean or assist 2. You shouldn t have to ask for help if you re a team. Ex: I shouldn t of needed to ask for more water at my table or if someone minded grabbing an order for my table, everyone near or about your section should notice and you should be talking to each other. If the business fails, you re potentially out of a job. 3. Dessert and bar drinks aren t always part of a meal, so if your customers are asking, that s just more money on their bill which drives a larger tip, why would you leave yourself up to lose that? Communication, organization (consolidation) are critical attributes to a successful server and dining experience.. if the food is bad, we ll you can t fault the server directly but at least you did the best you could do. Restaurants should take constructive criticism and do something with it.. if your food is not good, was it just an off night or is this more of a constant- find out what and why. I can t say anyone did their best here, all the way down to the hosts. That should have been my red flag. Lots to iron out for this place and I can t say I d go back when I have soo many other options.

After reading so many glowing reviews, my spouse and I dined here last night for our anniversary. Unfortunately our experience didn t match the reviews. Our server seemed irritated from the beginning. He was annoyed that we didn t want wine, annoyed that we hadn t been there before so he had to explain how the menu worked, annoyed that I didn t know what was in a particular dressing, annoyed that my spouse asked how the swordfish was cooked. The overall tone was that we didn t belong in a place like this. Maybe he was just having a bad night. The food was fine, although we both have upset stomachs this morning.
