The ladies behind the bar are amazing. The Mediterranean omelet is off the charts. The beignet and jam is more than enough per serving. The service is off the charts. This is fine brunch dining. The only thing that could make it better is some upbeat music. Still 5 stars though. Ill be back often.

I was delighted to discover that this restaurant is located in The Colony. This well-known restaurant chain offers a diverse and flavorful menu. However, I encountered an issue with the service during my visit. It appeared that there were only two servers, with the others being food runners. One of the servers seemed to be new but was pleasant. While I intend to return to this establishment, I will avoid doing so when I am pressed for time. Were regulars here. Weve also been to several other locations across Dallas and Austin. Today, Im really frustrated because we ask for basic things you find at every breakfast restaurant, brown sugar, hot/warm milk, and we cant get it. No brown sugar. Cold milk in hot coffee (which makes it not hot). Its very disappointing. Its it difficult. People like milk in their coffee. Hot/warm milk. Go to Walmart, buy a milk frother/warmer. Even if its not a frequent request, its inexpensive and something easy to do for occasional request. Food is almost always good, so hats off to the cooks. But service and offerings can be better.

This is the 2nd Broken Egg Ive been too. They do not disappoint. The staff was all wonderful friendly and inviting. We where seated immediately. A Waitress arrived immediately to take our orders on drinks or coffees to get us going. Then back for our Entrées orders quickly and efficiently, even though it was busy our orders arrived quicker then we would have thought. Everything was cooked and done the way wed asked even with a few custom modifications we wanted. My sister was dining with us and had steadfastly maintained that she really didnt care about Breakfast as a whole and most places where different variations on the same theme. This attitude lasted till they set her Praline Pancakes down in front of her and she took her first bite. (Ill just say her conversion to being a loyal fan of Another Broken Egg was immediate.) Now she is just complaining why you dont have a location in San Antonio where she lives. I love the menu and especially the holiday/seasonal specials that you serve. If you havent tried this amazing Breakfast and Brunch specially house out yet then I assure you, you are missing out. They really have something great for everyone no matter what your idea of a gormet Breakfast or Brunch is.

Ok, listen this is my first 3 star review. I have my reasons. The Huevos Rancheros was too Americanisd, I sat too long with empty drinks. The atmosphere is horrible on one side of the building (morning) because of a fitness place next door... The bass is ridiculous.

The food and staff were fantastic!! Most of the seating looks fine except for a few booths. I was wearing shorts, and both sides of the booth they put me at were old cracked and falling apart. Needless to say, it was not a comfortable place to sit for my visit. Other than that, everything else was fine. That staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was quick and tasty!

Stopped here for breakfast and I really like their selection and unique vibe. The New Orleans inspired menu options gave it some extra spice but they also have more traditional brunch options too. The server was courteous and took good care of us. I had the typical sausage, bacon and eggs breakfast and everything tasted great and clearly was made with quality ingredients. Easy to recommend!

This was my first time here and I was a bit intimidated of the menu items as I am a picky eater but there were plenty of options. I got the soft shell crab scrambler and it was so good. The food was flavorful and so was my coffee. I would suggest to add your name to the waitlist as it can take a while to get seating during the weekends.

I have been here 5-10 times over the past few years. We come first thing in the morning on a weekday. The service is fast - sometimes faster than Chik Fil a breakfast and honestly only a little more expensive for a really nice breakfast. I know during the weekdays, there are mostly business travelers and regulars but I bring kids - which is great because there s a play area adjacent to the restaurant. The food quality was way below the other locations that I have eaten at. The hollandaise was like gelatin and cold. The ham was a cheap slice from a deli pack. The beignets were not even close to being beignets and tasted like flour fritters. The server was lovely. Please get quality ingredients! The berries were wonderful!

This place has amazing seafood options for brunch like crab cake Benedict, lobster & Brie omelette etc. And they also have good vegetarian omelettes. Every dish we had was delicious. Service is also great. They have a little play area for kids and a small patio. Definitely worth going here!

Not worth the money with so many more accommodating restaurants around. Went on a slow day asked for my spinach to be chopped in my omelet and was told the kitchen wouldnt do that, which I could understand if it were busy. The potatoes they offer are fried do I opted for fruit and was charged $3.50 extra. My fault yes because it was on the menu when I told the server the fruit was not worth it her response was ok. To many other choices not to be more accommodating for a $50 breakfast for 2 people

Went for our first time for brunch and so happy we did! The food was delicious and all of it was well cooked, service was friendly, but oh my god, the biscuit beignets were the showstopper of the whole meal! My wife and I were promptly greeted and seated by a smiling & friendly host. Our waitress introduced herself and welcomed us. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. The menu was very broad, with a large variety of cuisines to partake in. Surprised: we were given the biscuit beignets since it was our first visit, which is a big plus. The beignets look like warm powered donuts, but they were delicious & filling. Our main dishes were hot and appealing to the eye. The food was delicious, and portions were generous. The restaurant was very clean and vibrant. We had an exceptional experience. We will definitely be back... Update June 17, 2024: We continue to visit this place. They added a few dishes since this review. Go out and experience the Mango & Dragon Fruit French Toast, Also.. try the pineapple Berry Agua Fresca with it. You will be alarmed by the amazing flavors and how savory this combination is. The pineapples & berry drizzle with maple syrup will have screaming from the inside: like a roller-coaster ride in your mouth! A treat within a treat! Enjoyed it! My wife and I were in to eat at about 10am (ish). We were initially sat at a table at the wall right next to the workout establishment. That place had their music seriously booming (such rude neighbors ). My wife wanted to move away from the wall and our server Madison was very accommodating. We didn t want Madison to lose out on a table and requested if we could keep her as our server. The supervisor allowed it and I am so glad they did. Madison was appropriately engaging and fun. She helped keep our order with dietary restrictions correct she is an absolute sweetheart. When we are in town again we ll for sure be looking for her. We were told 35-45 minutes and waited for over an hour to be seated. We were finally seated at a table that had been cleared for more than 20 minutes. There were several tables that people could have been seated at instead of making them wait outside. I ve worked in and managed restaurants, so I understand flow and not overloading the kitchen and I try to be objective and fair when reviewing them, but they can do better to get people seated. The hostess(es) were moving at a snails pace to clear tables and seat people. None of the staff seemed to have a sense of urgency. You would think that there would be when you have guests waiting over an hour to be seated. Three stars because the waiter was super polite and the food was good and came out fast which makes it even more confusing as to why it took so long to be seated.

I ve been to this location several times, and I m always impressed by their food as well as service. Today my server, Kirsten, did a wonderful job answering questions, anticipating needs and was extremely friendly. As I was a table of one, I had slightly anticipated feeling rushed, but that never happened. I ve mostly been here in the past with four kids, and still, impeccable service. I highly recommend for an enjoyable breakfast or lunch! Kid-friendliness: They have an outside playground for the kiddos just off the patio so parents can watch while eating.

Everything was delicious! My wife had shrimp and grits and loved it. I dont do dairy or any kinds of grains, so I had their big omelet with chorizo, no cheese, etc, fruit, and lots of salsa. This is one of the better brunch/breakfast spots Ive been to in the DFW. The service was friendly. The drinks were delicious and the food was outstanding. I had a really tasty and spicy Titos bloody Mary and the seasonal southern biscuit sandwich. That sandwich was so freaking good I wish I were hungry again so I could eat it again. Food is great as always. They really missed out on additional $$ during my last visit. Was hanging out with a friend...finished our initial order and waited for a server to swing back around for coffee and more food and that never happened. We ended up going somewhere else.

This was my first time eating here. The food was great. Waitress was fast and on point. It was crowded and busy. But we only had to wait approximately 20-30 mins. We made reservations, which helped our wait time. I will be returning.

Place is always busy, so we used the online wait-list. It got all the way below 15 minutes so we showed up to be told itll be over 35 minutes still. Not sure what the misconnect is but it was absolutely ridiculous will not be coming back. The hostess only offered Im going by my tablet for help.

It was our first time eating here. The food was eh experience was ok and our server was really nice. Probably won t dine here again For context , we joined the wait list which quoted 45-60 mins ended up being closer to 1 hour and 20 mins. They mentioned they were short staffed and that the kitchen was backed up so they wouldn t sit us for another 15 minutes. When we finally got seated they told us that it would take another 20-30 mins to have bacon done but then surprised us with the bacon from the oven which was pretty good . Party ordered pancakes , eggs, bacon and crab Benedicts. The crab tasted bad like it was really old- it was inedible Pancakes were fine. Coffee had a nice flavor to it.

Incredibly tasty as always! We absolutely love this place for breakfasts, letting the kids play a bit, and trying out something new from the seasonal menu. They have a decent gluten-free menu as well, serving gf pancakes that are actually fluffy! Kid-friendliness: They share a play structure with heritage pizza, big windows or patio seating due parents and kids to keep tabs on each other.

Stopped in for a solo breakfast on a Sunday. Sat at the bar. Had a coffee and the Southwest Scrambler which was delicious. Service was a little lacking (had to request each coffee refill, napkin/silverware after the food arrived, and the check). Theres an outdoor patio area with a playground directly next to it so if screaming children arent your thing plan to sort inside. Ill def go back as the food was great and the server may have been new/inexperienced.

Shrimp & grits were soup like. Shrimp were baby shrimp over cooked. I also had the strawberry puns cake French toast. Every thing was soggy like. The only thing I did like was the southwest omelet.also not to mention my waitress kept asking am I sure that I want to order all the food. I ve never had anyone ask me that and it made me feel very uncomfortable. Will not be back to this location

Love this establishment. My husband and I have been here twice now. We stay at the hotel across the street and walk here for brunch. The wait staff is always super friendly and have great recommendations. Everything from the drinks to the pancakes are fantastic. We took advantage of the bar with open seating so we didn t have to wait for a table. Lauren behind the bar was great. The menu is unique enough without being too complicated or overly complex like some of the other restaurants around this area.

Love coming here with my family every Sunday! The food is never not perfect and the staff is incredibly friendly. This place has a super positive atmosphere and the staff seem to really enjoy being there which isn t something you get to see often. I highly recommend!! You won t regret it!

Me and my friend went for breakfast and it was AMAZING!! We highly recommend the cinnamon roll French toast and beignets. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff was extremely welcoming! Our server Kierstin was TOP NOTCH! She went above and beyond and explained all the different menu items in detail and helped up make a decision! Her service was fast and exceeded our expectations! Some of the best service I have had in a while, we will be returning!!

Went for brunch with my wife and was taken care of by Kierstin at the bar. The mimosa pitchers were great and Kierstin was fun and personable and made an ordinary brunch feel like a fun get together. If you choose to visit, I d suggest her to liven up your visit!

It was good. Ill definitely go back. I had Shrimp and Grits, they were yummy. My friend had the French toast with eggs and sausage. It was good, I plan on ordering it next time. My other friend had chicken and waffles. She seemed to enjoy it, but I prefer bone in chicken with my waffle.
