Overall, a good hotel. Good service, nice rooms, however, I can t believe nobody s talking about this in the reviews. There is a major cricket infestation at this hotel. I have found a couple in my room and a few in my smoke alarm. And outside the hotel, they are everywhere so it s not surprising that they get in. If you haven t tried to fall asleep before with a cricket in your room, it s very difficult. Wifi is terrible as well.

My family and my folks stayed here for a night. (2 rooms). Our TV the picture was so so dim. Call the front desk about it and I was told Ill let maintenance know about it in the morning. POOL AND HOT TUB was not up to PAR. Some kind of film floating on the water in the hot tub. POOL AREA IS NOT CLIMATE CONTROLLED. We went in July and it was not a atmosphere I wanted to be in with my family. (we have a pool and theirs were not something we were going to let our 8 and 6 year old in..... Dissappointing! Would I stay here again? Not for over a hundred dollars a night.

Great hotel! Staff is super friendly! But I have to give a shout out to Ebony! She was fantastic, friendly, very warm and welcoming each time you enter or exit the hotel even if she busy you matter to her! She wears multiple hats there. Her next hat should be manager! Good price and location from the BSW Hospital across the street. Mildewy smell from the a/c unit, not strong but noticeable on the side of the room it was in. Bed was more stiff than Im used to but thats a subjective opinion, pillows were nice though. Refrigerator worked well, tv had 2 bright spots that looked like small flashlights were shining on the other side but worked well otherwise. Coffee maker in the room was the cup kind and had a lot of powdery sediment caked on so we didnt use it. Breakfast had the expected works and was a pleasant experience. Overall a good experience for the reasonable price. Nearby activities: Main Hospital across the street, and many food options as well as an HEB within 1 mile

The employees are friendly the only reason why it is a three star is that the breakfast is so so I m saying that because the egg omelette isn t even that good it s just straight up eggs in a omelette form and where s the cheese? There was such a low water pressure in the bathroom sink and shower. It was difficult to wash your hands and rinse and the same goes for the shower. It makes you wonder with such a low water pressure, how can they property sanitize and clean the bathroom?? This is the second time we have experienced this at this hotel so this must be the way all of the water pressure is. We will not be staying here again.

Check in was very quick and easy, the room was large, had a comfortable king bed, desk, the bathroom had a hand towel bar next to the sink (rare in hotels), a TV that worked without fiddling with it (also rare in hotels and AirBnBs lately) , microwave, and frig. Hot pool was not heated, it was the same temp as the swimming pool. Included breakfast was very good with a nice dining area. Luggage carts were available and made moving luggage easy.

Spent 3 nights last weekend.. This sight has contracts with Bus Companies or something. All 3 nights Big Busses and a bunch of people. Apparently an Elephant was directly above me 2 of the 3 nights. Spa Broken. Treadmill broken. Very clean nice rooms. Breakfast was great but the Bus people drained it early and quickly both days. Hard working employees. Front desk folks could use some energy. No safety, no security cameras, 3 trucks got broken windows in one night, front desk unresponsive. Don t book at this location. Don t waste your time. Take a note in a piece the paper is not helpful. We understand policies and rules but at least your answer to the costumers needs to be different like management or the owner may install security cameras in the future. Of course I want to find another hotel with better requirement but of course I want to make sure people know what is going in the parking lot of your hotel. Crime is every where but at least hotel needs to taken care about situations like this this is not the first case is a multiple times this happen.

We checked in and thought all was good I was disappointed that they had this welcoming new members with a wheel that was never offered for us to spin... then checked into the room all seemed well until it was time for bed when the light was turned off cockroaches came crawling out from under the TV stand we lifted the TV stand and there was 15 to 20 cockroaches crawling everywhere we immediately contacted front desk for a refund and we switched to the Hilton who was happy to accommodate. I paid 132 at this hotel and paid 116 at Hilton they give a discount at Hilton if ur having surgery was holiday inn does not.. never again but was informed they are calling the bug people today.

In the wake of a week without power My stay was necessary not pleasure. The room was basic, I wasnt that impressed. The room was above the HVAC/Pool utility area and something outside made a loud cycling droning hum all night. The bathroom only had a shower and I was so looking forward to Soaking in a tub. Oddly, they didnt have regular sized washcloths. The Soap Dispenser in the shower was empty and the Shampoo one wouldnt pump. The bed was comfortable enough, but, the pillows were bulky and Ginormous. There were some things like the Pool and Gym I didnt have time to use, but, looked very inviting. They had a little office set up in the lobby for business guests to use. The complimentary breakfast buffet was spot on and had many selections. The Scrambled eggs were just fantastic! I loved the Biscuits and Gravy and The Orange Juice was really tasty. The Staff was very nice, especially Maddie. All in all, it was a good stay.

The front desk employee was sleeping in the backroom when we arrived, before 9pm. We waited for several minutes for someone to appear and check us in, then tried calling the hotel, and finally had to shout asking if anyone was working. She came out after my shout woke her up and quickly checked us into a handicap room (we dont have any special needs) right off the lobby. It was so echo-y that we could hear every sound in the lobby magnified the whole night. Housekeeping was okay but sloppy. The sheets were not pulled all the way over the corners of the matress and there was only one washcloth in the bathroom. Maintenence might also be a problem because the vent fan in the bathroom didnt turn on, so our hotel room was humid the rest of the night after using the shower. The AC worked well so it was at least cold. The room had a channel guide for the TV but they didnt have half of the channels listed on it, and the channels they had didnt match the numbers on their guide. Breakfast was the best part. It was well stocked and had a lot of variety.

We travel alot. ALOT! This was our second stay at this location. As a IHG member I was not pleased. From our latest experience 22/24 April 22. I know the barking dog on the 3rd floor wasnt your fault but it was still bothersome. The only functioning ice machine is on the first floor. The others have been outa order for how long? We were here last 19/20 Mar 22, same situation. The only ice machine is filthy. Our room was not bad other than the the bottom of the shower is going to fall apart due to water damage. Room 318. The AC was leaking on the 3rd floor in the hallway. The answer was a trashcan underneath the leak. Guests were also using the makeshift water control system for trash mitigation. Great combination dont you think? Finally. You have a indoor pool that isnt working. It hasnt been working for a very long time. The price I paid doesnt represent what I received for my money. The staff we had interactions with were all very Central Texas Friendly and handled the dog situation very well.. The lack of access to pool/hot tub, ice machine and water damage are a sign of poor maintenance which is a management issue. Unfortunately we can not recommend this property to others. I chose this hotel because its close to the hospital. Since, we have been here, the staff has been amazing. They are extremely kind, hospitable, and accommodating. The first room that I was given was dusty, the bed was halfway fixed, and the floor hadnt been vaccumed. The clerk immediately assigned me another room that was cleaner. The pool was inoperable and I wished that the website had specified that before I made the reservation online, other than those two things, we had a great stay.

Choose a different hotel and save yourself the frustration. So that no one comes back to say that there is no record of our stay there-our confirmation number was 28183931. Me, my dad and my kids stayed there because my uncle was undergoing surgery. My dads name is David, and the room was under his name, but I paid for the room with my credit card. Olivia was point-blank deceptive. I specifically chose this hotel for two reasons: the spa, and the hot breakfast. When I called I was told by Olivia that the spa had not been working two or three weeks ago, but she thought it was fine now. We get there and the spa wasnt working. I go to the front desk, and Olivia is at the front desk. I asked how long it hadnt been working and her answer was that it hadnt been working for 2-3 weeks. If you knew it still wasnt working you should be honest with people up front. Dont be deceptive just to get business. Thats not professional. If I would have known the spa was not working, I never would have booked this hotel. Also, when we checked in the first room type we were given was not the one wed paid for (a suite with a couch). We immediately went back downstairs and then were given a suite with a couch...only to have the front desk woman call the room to tell us that there had been a mistake and that that type of room was not available for the night. Wed paid for that room, and we were now IN THAT ROOM. After waiting on the phone for half and hour in that room, the woman said that her manager said it would be ok if we stayed in that room. The cleaning lady on the third floor with short dirty blonde/light brown hair was just plain rude. The wifi never worked. The room keys would loose their ability to operate. The pool area was never maintained for any of the four days we were there. I have a feeling it hadnt been cleaned in awhile. Dead cockroaches and other bugs, dirty stains of who knows what, and used masks discarded on the floor were there the first day we were there (when I found out the spa wasnt working), and still there on the day we left. Disgusting and dishonest. Only pleasant thing going for this hotel was a polite woman named Margaret. There are two women with the name Margaret at this location; the one that I am referring to is the younger of the two. Other than her, this hotel is awful! I hope our negative experience has you think twice before making a reservation here. Save yourself the frustration! If I can give them 0 I would. My husband is a truck driver and always call ahead to make sure he can check-in at 6am. This place told him that he can check-in at 6am and even put a hold on his credit card for $325, when he got there they told him that he can t check in until 10am. Truck drivers need their sleep(by law) and by them doing this to him they put him and others at risk. Not only did they tell him he could not check-in now at 6am (even though he called ahead about this) they still charged him $325 for his reservation and would not allow him to cancel or get his money back. I feel like they scammed him by telling he could check-in at 6am knowing that he could not.

The room was clean and comfy but falling apart, so the room was way too expensive for what you got. The hallway was absolutely disgusting because the ceiling leaked a water-type substance, and the elevator light didnt function properly. But there was a sign stating updates in progress (were they though?? I saw none...) The staff was accommodating but had to be asked twice for things since the front desk was usually empty. They wouldnt clean our room when our sign was out so we had to call to ask for a cleaning. The breakfast was a full spread, the snacks werent obscene expensive, and the kitchen staff was spot on. They are the only reason this is a 3 star rating instead of 2.

Beautiful room. Clean. Friendly staff. Its was 171 after tax for a standard room for one night. Quick check-in. Indoor pool was clean and open. Hot breakfast. Definitely the nicest hotel I ve stayed in in the area. Cost more, but worth the cost difference. Clean sheets. Clean and spacious shower. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower gel, makeup remover all in the room. Comfiest beds and pillows. Ac in the room. Fridge and microwave. Blow dryer. Everything worked. Spacious room. Didn t feel tight at all. Will definitely use every time I m in town.

The hotel staff were scarce at best. Hotel was renovating so not sure if my room was renovated or not was in room 407. The person who painted it was either on drugs or drunk. Not impressed by that but the did have ethernet for my personal router and I got almost 100mbps while on the wired ethernet through my 5G router. So if thats important to you then this is a great hotel but the lack of staff presence was underwhelming. The breakfast was great! Thanks for that.

We had to come to Temple Tx for a funeral. The morning of the funeral, I went to get into my truck & noticed that my truck had been broken into. I go back into the hotel, to the front desk to let them know & ask them to call the police. They told me that the police had already been there on another car that was broken into. The woman didnt think it was necessary to call them back out for me. I had to insist she do it. What I dont understand is that they knew vehicles had been broken into & they didnt notify me. They take your vehicle information when you check in, so they knew whos vehicles were broken into. You would think they would have called the people to advise them but they didnt. They didnt seem to care. They had had staff clean up glass but, again, didnt notify us. I understand the hotel isnt liable for breakins, but a little compassion for the 7 vehicles that were burglarized would have been nice. I was late to the funeral after waiting for the police (no fault of the police), adding to my stress. This hotel does not have ANY camera surveillance, so you are not protected at all for vandalism or mishaps is the parking lot.

Warning This hotel has no security cameras. Our truck was broken into and stolen along with other vehicles last night. Would of been real helpful and grateful if the manager or a Holiday Inn Express representative would of at least stepped up to help. Kind words, concern, and safety measures do make a difference by the way. A message to the owners/managers invest in security cameras. I did some research and discovered Temple has a big ongoing problem with criminals breaking into and stealing vehicles.

Upon arriving for my stay I was checked in by Cheyenne who was extremely welcoming and friendly. She was also knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and recommended some great places to eat! The rooms were clean and the bed were very comfortable. We definitely will be coming back here again, it was absolutely wonderful!

They were very accommodating as I was an out of town quest coming to town for medical tests and they allowed me to reserve a room with a check in time of 6am!! None of the other hotels did that. They also gave me a medical rate!! Thank you for your compassion and support! The front desk was full of smiles everytime I went by!! I will be back!!
