This darling place is where to go for great food. The decor is sparse patches of memorabilia that is meaningful to the owner and a wonderful story. Ask about it. They make unique lattes and a tasty mocha. This place is a gem . Every time I go, the food is consistently wonderful. This is a place Id go to weekly.

Party of 3. Came in Sunday, mothers day at 12:30. Upon seating we were told that food would be a 30 minute wait upon ordering. There werent that many tables with people at them so we went ahead and sat and ordered. IT TOOK AN HOUR AN A HALF BEFORE OUR FOOD CAME OUT. NO EXAGGERATION, DEFINITELY NO JOKE. we felt stupid for having waited for so long. After being served, a lady from the kitchen came out and asked how the food tasted... she seemed to be someone in authority. My wifes club sandwich came out all wrong. They fixed it somewhat but it still wasnt what she had ordered. We were starving and just wanted to eat at that point. But we politely inquired why it took so long to get our food. The lady said they were slammed, they were super busy. Big. Fat. Lie. They were not busy. At all. We know what busy is for small and large restaurants. And they were nowhere near busy by any stretch of the imagination. And believe me, we had an hour and a half to look around the entire restaurants to tell exactly how not busy they were. We were so starved when the food came and when this lady gave us this jazz about being slammed that we just kept eating. We didnt feel like getting into a debate with anyone about the whole matter. She was unapologetic. Weve decided to share our experience here and on trip advisor and to never ever go back. We will also tell everyone we know about this unacceptable dining experience. Oh, my pancakes and bacon and scrambled eggs were just mediocre at best. That meal was NOT worth its menu price. Dont waste your hard earned money at this place. **** what an odd reply from the owner. To blatantly lie about there being so many tables and to also blatantly lie about the server being stiffed. I swear to God that a tip was left. The owner is being more than dramatic and less than honest and less than honorable. She seems to have a sob story and flimsy excuse for all the less than positive feedback from many of the past customers who testified about their food and experience. My feedback is true. Its now up to others to decide whether or not to take a chance. And lets see what their reviews reveal.

First let me say Happy Mother s Day! Came in today and sat myself at the bar. Waitstaff was very attentive and informed me of wait time. Ordered myself breakfast for lunch. Wow can I say, Suzy Q s was busy but making it happen. Second, lunch was worth the wait although it was over an hour, I arrived at 12:00 and it was busy. I m impressed that the restaurant made it aware of the long wait. Very understanding since it s Mother s Day! Better than waiting at Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse! Lastly, to the ladies/waitstaff Happy Mothers Day! Thankful for you ladies putting your time and hard work when you have families. To the cooks, Thank You for making such delicious meals and especially my breakfast! You Guys Rock!

The staff made sure everything was perfect, checking in on us multiple times, even though everything was already fantastic. Well definitely be returning with our family. The portion sizes are generous, perfect for sharing, and my little one loved the French toast, eggs, and hash browns. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the Mocha latte was divine. This place is ideal for a Mothers Day brunch or a special birthday celebration.

Home cooking that isnt your typical no so healthy comfort food. There are a LOT of tantalizing options making deciding on a meal quite difficult. The establishment is clean & nice looking with ample seating, yet not crowded. Ye Old English Bakery closing was a huge loss for Temple that likely will never be matched. However, Suzy Qs is a great addition to take over that space.

I stopped by omw back to Dallas. I had the fresh mushroom soup, and it was so good!!!!! Finally!!! A spot that serves fresh mushroom soup versus canned shrooms!!!!! I love biscuits and gravy, but not many people have corned beef, so I opted to get that instead!! It was good for the most part and well put together. The house made fries with the housemade sauce were fire!! I think it was a jalapeño ranch type of sauce. It couldve been a bit more spicy, but it was really good! Great customer service!!! Ive eaten here about half a dozen times and the Reuben sandwich is my favorite! It is loaded with meat and served warm. My friend prefers the triple decker sandwich with turkey and bacon and all the fixings. There is always enough left to take a half of each sandwich home for tonight or tomorrow. Sometimes I get a half sandwich and soup. My favorite soups are the lasagna and chicken enchilada soup. And we love to get a slice of dessert and split it! The chocolate chip pecan pie is our absolute favorite and I always get one to go, too. The cherry pie is good and so it the death by chocolate cake if you like lots of chocolate. Everything is always prepared fresh in house and our server always recognizes us! Great service by all and Elaine, the owner, checks on every table. Elaine is also the dessert chef! Give them a try, you wont be disappointed. Parking: Plenty of parking right in front of the shopping center. Wheelchair accessibility: The tables are spread out with plenty of room to navigate a wheelchair. Parking and sidewalk is easily accessible.

We both had the burger basket with fries and then had a latte to go and a chocolate shake. -The buns of the burger are clearly made in-house and were SO fresh -All burger toppings were also fresh (and they use romaine lettuce which I think is worth noting!) -Burger patties were juicy and well-seasoned -Fries are hand-cut and SO crunchy -The coffee was very good, not overly sweet -My husband sucked the shake down! All of this was less than $40. I came here on a recommendation and I am so glad we did! The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. 5/5 on all accounts! We will definitely be back.

Goodness gracious, I tried this place for the first time a few months ago and hands down best classic brunch place in town. First, I got their Lox and cream cheese on an everything bagel(am nuts for cream cheese salmon and bagels but this has an added threat of deliciousness, capers!). Next visit I got that with French toast and dear God you have to get the French toast because it is D I V I N E. This time? I got the Monte Cristo and it is so thicc. Apparently people complain about the breading but honestly thats what makes it top notch. Deep fried beer battered turkey ham cheddar and Swiss double decker with raspberry jam to dip. I eat a lot on couldnt even finish half of this monster of a sandwich. Dont discount the tots on the side, they are perfectly crispity and go perfectly with the sweet and salty Sammy. Pretty much every time I come around miss Mykayla(I think thats how her name is spelled) is my server and she remembers our little quirks with our orders, so sweet. Tldr; gr8 food, sips and the sweetest servers in town s2g

The young girl at the counter who took my order wasnt very friendly and seemed perturbed I asked if they give a military/vet discount (sorry, but I like to ask because I spread the word & patron on repeat places that do) but later when I met Shyla and a nice lady (who I believe is the owner), my experience turned very positive and I will be back, despite no military discount because their vibe was warm and welcoming and made up for the initial negative energy. The cheeseburger was hearty, tasty, perfect and the fries were crunchy, crispy, tasty and hot just like I love my fries (Im a picky fries eater). I had their Almond Joy latte which was tasty and they have a punch reward card.

My first perfect review, this diner was phenomenal. The food was amazing for the price, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was extremely cozy. I saw the impressive reviews and had high expectations with 4.7 stars, and was not let down whatsoever. Suzy Q tends to walk around and make small talk and engage with her customers extremely well. I would consistently come back if I werent on vacation and this restaurant was closer to where I live. We, a party of five, had child and the cafe only serves pancakes on Saturday and Sunday, but we had a 5-year-old who was begging for pancakes and she, without hesitation, let her have pancakes. In all seriousness this place is probably 10.0, stars, if you have some time (30 minutes) to wait for great food. Great job Suzy Q. Kid-friendliness: Allowed a child at my table to have a food item that wasnt originally on the menu, pleasing her customers.

Unfortunately, my experience was not good at all. Paid over $18 for a hamburger with fries that took over 1 hour to be ready, avocado was oxidized (have never seen this in any restaurant in my life), fries were not fresh, and food came out cold and reheated maybe in a microwave...this is my conclusion based on the lettuce and tomatoes condition when plate was serve. For the price, I would have expected more quality of food and service. Maybe it was a bad day for them.

What a great stop this ended up being! The restaurant is clean and has great decor being welcoming and warm. The staff smiled like they actually enjoyed being there and had great suggestions for me. The food was fantastic! I got a Ruben with house fries and a peach Italian soda and a piece of Key Lime pie to finish it off. The Ruben came out fresh and hot tasting like it was actually made in the restaurant and not just supplies slapped together. I couldn t be happier with the taste or presentation. The fries came out great and I got to watch them make the Italian soda and while I don t normally enjoy peach too much I tried it at her suggestion (no, I didn t mention anything other than asking for a suggestion and taking it when she sounded so excited) and ended up really liking it. The pie tasted like mom made it and I could have just ended my day on that high note. Soft, great flavor and good crust. After living in this pie desert for a while now this was an incredible find. The staff was on the ball and super fun to talk too, the owner being very nice and had some great conversation. I honestly had a wonderful visit and can t wait to come back.

This café is a nestled treasure & is situated right on 31st ST. I had the Lox & Everything Bagel which was a good choice. It had the right smear of cream cheese, smoked salmon was silky, capers provided the optimal amount of saltiness, red onion worked well, and the bagel was not at all an after thought. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast. They also make cakes and pies

First time to try this restaurant. We ended up leaving due to the long wait. Apparently they have a new cook. One gentleman had been waiting 45 minutes. I understand when this happens. I have worked in this industry my past. But the server did not inform us. She brought drinks and never came back to check on us. When we had to leave it would have been nice not to have to pay for my tea. ( we wanted soft drinks But the machine was down.). Will probably try again sometime
