GAME CHANGER I visited Valerian on 10/29, by appointment. I requested dip powder nails with marble and rhinestone art. First, their business is immaculate. No dirt, dust, towels , or old nail tools laying around. Secondly, their customer service is outstanding. I was promptly greeted, seated and offered a beverage within 1 minute after my arrival Third the entire staff is awesome however, VALERIE is a true artist...I mean BEAST MODE. She delivered. I was damn near skipping out with a kool-aid smile. I highly recommend this business.

Unfortunately I will not be returning to this nail shop. I left with raw open skin around my nails. The guy was filing so hard it cut multiple fingers open. Then the nail shape is uneven. I had an early appointment and was the only client there. I had an old set of nails that needed to be removed and I ended up getting a fresh ombré set. When the man finished my nails he acted as if he had just came from working in the fields. Then I asked him if he knew how much it was to get jewelry added to my nails. He said he would ask but never did. I did not complain but I knew that would be my last visit.

Worst design I ever had. I asked for wave lines, the first person didn t get even a line the next person did a horrible curve . If they don t know they should have told me and I would I said I don t need design and just went a dip. I spend $100 and now my nails look like kids art. Dip is also not clean, so much uneven and too thick . I give 5 star for pedicure.

i can t deny that this place does an amazing job with my nails BUT they are extremely rude especially when it comes to making/booking appts. their scheduling system is extremely confusing even after asking for help resulting in them refusing to do my nails after i think i ve done everything right. i ve worked really hard to do everything right at this salon and it s never enough for them. their customer service is not the best. they have huge egos, never greet me when i come in, and talk to me very rudely while i am always extremely respectful to them. these things result in me feeling very uncomfortable when i m there. while i ll have to miss out on the quality of their work, i think i will feel way more comfortable and taken care of at another nail salon. who is zara? i would like my issues to be addressed

If you want to be charged for nexgen nails and pedicure $217.00 including tip this is the place for you to go. I was not happy with the work done on my nexgen nails and pedicure. The owner was informed I was not happy, I was lead to believe that if I went back they would fix the issues. I did go back and instead they charged me again and didn t care that the work was not satisfactory from the get go. If you want to be taken advantage and deal with greedy owners that will over charge you & have no principles, or values, this is a place to go. For the service you get here and it basically a whole in wall salon, I would suggest to go to a place that offers amazing work, customer service and beautiful salon. You should consider, Rose Couture in Prosper. They have manager that runs this beautiful salon, it is not ran by the owners. I would recommend Rose Couture Nail Salon in Prosper.

Absolutely found my nail techs for both fingers & toes!! Ive lived in Little Elm for a couple of years. I will forever be faithful to amazing techs. When you find great ones, you keep them. Just went to Valerian for the first time today and I AM IN LOVE! Valerie is truly a one of a kind and Ive been to my fair share of nail salons in search of a true artist and I finally found her!! They arent your stuffy big chain nail salon where the salon cares about getting the most out of you and doing a mediocre job. I got an LE Hard Gel Manicure and despite her telling me she was new to the product she did amazing! I am a huge fan of hard gel nails and very few technicians know how to do them or have the proper supplies. Valerie did mine to perfection! The nail artist I ve had for the past few years moved to NYC so I ve been struggling with the typical quick in and out but we serve you cocktails nail salons that are everywhere in this area. Update 6/15/23: I was unaware the nail salon had a 7 day warranty for dip & gel polishes. It s worth giving credit where it s due! The salon kindly reached out to inform of this & offered to re-do the work. I had my appt with Valerie and her nail art, skills, & expertise are nothing short of great. She was extremely detailed with each step of the process including the removal of the previous dip/gel product which helped the nail look natural. Aside from the aforementioned, there are SEVERAL nail colors to choose from @ the salon. I ve only been into the salon twice & the energy in the salon isn t very inviting & is somewhat cold. I m unaware if it s due to the time of day, my original review, other factors, or nothing at all. In any case, Bao helped ease the environment at the time of my service by sharing in some small talk having to do with nail art & the chemicals/science behind it. I appreciate the business owner s efforts and policy as well as the skill set that comes from some of the employees @ Valerian. Thanks for your time, take care! May 2023 Original Review: Aesthetically pleasing nail salon. There wasn t much of a language barrier from the woman who serviced me, yet she was reluctant to communicate. I felt sad when I was mocked in front of everyone at the salon. It was my first time, and I was not treated nicely. I did not know I was supposed to check-in in an iPad. I was told I was not on the list even when I did make an appointment. I know I will not be back. First and last. I cant say enough good things about Valerian Nails! They take such good care of their clients. I scheduled an appointment online for dip powder and a pedicure. I showed up and they were ready for me when I got there (because they only take appointments by booking online and dont try to cram in 20 people in an hour).They always spend the full amount of time on me and I dont ever feel like they are rushing. I think they are very reasonably priced, plus they offer 10% off on your first visit and for the month of your birthday! I have never been to a nail spa that feels as professional as Valerian Nails. I have been many times now and every time it is a great experience. They also have tons of colors and can do all kinds of unique tips and designs. I think they are all good as it seems like everyone is always happy when Ive been there but of course I have to give my tech credit for always doing an excellent job. Yim is amazing!!

The worst service I have ever received at a nail salon hands down. The 4.7 stars is a hoax, it should be closer to around 1 star. I was told over the phone by Shawn that it would be 50$ for dipped nails and after arriving and picking a light light baby pink shade. They put on the wrong color and they came out nearly hot pink, not to mention after confronting Yem. She said she would take them off and find me a better color. So I switched to a lighter shade that looked realistic to baby pink, after she put my nails on they came out a completely different shade then the original color. A dark shade of pink. Yem didn t mention she was charging extra for something that should have came out of the companies money. She did not mention that the nails would come out a different shade or THAT MY TOTAL WOULD BE 70$ before tip. 70 F ING DOLLAR FOR NAILS THAT DONT EVEN LOOK LIKE THEY ARE WORTH 20$. I have nothing but great things to say about Valerian Nails!! I booked an online appointment a couple of days before, and was worried that they wouldn t be available given it was not booked much time in advance, but they were plenty open! I booked my gel manicure and Princess pedicure with Kimberley, showed up right before my appointment and she was immediately ready to go. Kimberley was so fast (but not rushing) and extremely efficient. She made sure the color I chose was okay (politely changed it when it wasn t what I wanted) and was so gentle. There was a different lady who did my pedicure and it was probably the best pedicure I ve ever had!! She took her time and the massage/services were on point! Not to mention there was no awkwardness in our silence and the pricing was so so reasonable - I thought my bill was going to be at least $50 more than what it was. The only thing I will say that I was expecting that wasn t offered (only b/c every other nail salon offers, not b/c Valerian advertised it) is drink offering. I did arrive with my own water, but there s something about a small glass of wine/mimosa at the nail salon that is just icing on the cake. All in all, 10/10 recommend and I will be making this spot my new go to!

Pros - nails hold up nicely. One nail broke due to my own error. I ve had these on for just over two weeks. The shape and color is what I was looking for. The service was also friendly. Cons - although I had scheduled my appointment a week in advanced I still waited 30 minutes before being seen. The dip powered was sprinkled on instead of brushed on for the ombré and it leaves the bottom of the nail by the cuticle looking uneven and messy as they grow out

I have been coming here close to a year and love it. High quality product with tons and tons of color options. Their nail art is very good. I never have cracks or issues with my dip and get compliments regularly. The worst part is I have to pre-plan to get a spot because they are popular, but its worth it.

I had my first appt here last week. I ve been getting the Light Elegance brand hard gel nails for 4+ years.. this was the only salon that offered this brand within 100 miles of my home so I gave them a shot. I LOVE these guys. I am the biggest perfectionist & I am so so picky. Valerie blew it out of the water. I was so impressed at how quick she was, & she always kept asking me if I liked the shape, the length, etc. I could tell within 10 minutes of being there I was going to be happy with my nails. I will continue to go back there even though it s a 45 minute drive for me one way, because they actually care about making clients happy when they walk out the door. Valerian nails rocks

Amazing service! Valerie has been doing my nails since my first visit in March. She always takes her time and never rushes, so my nails always look Amazing! I highly recommend the other nail techs for mani/pedi/gel etc!! Make sure to book an appointment as they pride themselves on Quality Service! I visited this place once and loved my nails. I normally go to Richardson because I m very picky but decided to give this place a try. I decided to go back because I loved my nails so much and made an appointment. Unfortunately the day of the appointment I had contractors at my home and they took longer than expected so I had to call and cancel. I tried to make another appointment today only to be hung up on first and then when I called back I was told because I canceled one time the tech could no longer do my nails.

I chose this salon for its high rating, even though its a bit out of my way. Unfortunately, my experience was less than sub-par. I set the appointment over Google messages and requested a mani/pedi. But they only set me for a mani and was waiting for my pedi when the guy at the desk asked me if I was all set. I had to show him the message thread to get my pedi. The guy kept getting my name wrong. My manicure is gel with red tips, but some of the red is uneven and bleeding into the base. And my cutical was nicked and started bleeding after she put cuticle oil on. My tech was not engaging and talked so softly I always had to have her repeat. I went ahead and requested polish for my pedi because I was trying to be more accommodating, but my pedi nails and polish were uneven, and I could have done a better job at home. I was also suppose to receive a 10% for the incorrect appointment setting and never received it, also was supposed to receive a gift for their anniversary and didnt receive that until I went back in about not receiving my discount. They said they would send a discount via messages but never received that either. Very very disappointed in my experience here. I wont be returning.

Horrible experience and they deserve less than 1 star!!! 15 mins after my arrival for a scheduled appointment they asked me to do my pedicure then my nails although my appointment was for nails and pedi at the same time. They didn t start my nails 20mins after my appointment time.During my Dip nail removal i was burned with the tool as well as during my dip curing. My nails look like press ons and under they are stuck to my skin after asking multiple to clean under the nail. My pedicure was just as horrible!! The lady stabbed me with the cuticle cutter multiple times, didn t air out the hot towels so it was extremely hot on my legs and wouldn t even talk during the pedi, she would only tap my leg and roll her eyes if I didn t realize i needed to switch legs. So much for relaxing. I was offered a beverage mid way though my appt but they never brought it (it was a Diet Coke). The entire service for cuticle clean up, dip, and middle service pedi was $110 and service was horrible. Not to mention they talked in their own language the ENTIRE time making you feel like an inconvenience for being there. Sadly reviews looked good but they are 100% deceiving. I will never go there again! For that much money on a basic dip mani and pedi appt I expect at LEAST curiosity and a decent job that is not at all what I got!

Today was my first time at Valerian Nail & Spa. I haven t had a manicure in a few years, so I really wasn t sure what to expect. The environment is very inviting and relaxing. Valerie and her husband Bao were helpful in directing me to what type of manicure would best fit what I was looking for! My appointment was at 12:15, and they started right away, I did not have to wait! This to me was really important because I have two young children, so I don t have all day to wait. I have waited 30-40 mins at other salons even when I had an appointment. Both Valerie and Bao were great communicators and really wanted to make sure I received the outcome I desired! All of that was just a bonus to the fact that my nails are stunning! Valerie is very particular on making sure your nails look flawless before you leave. I am going to recommend all my friends and family to this salon because I had an incredible experience!!

Wow!!! The couple that runs this place really takes the time to make sure you leave out of there happy. From the moment I called the salon, the husband sounded like he actually cared and knew about nail maintenance - to his wife who really took the time to care for my nails as if they were her own- I have no complaints! They are a little pricier than other nail spots I ve been to but well worth the money. Once I was about to leave the girl next to me her come in with super long stiletto nails and only one had come off a month later . Very impressive! I have never done matte before and Valerie left my nails looking awesome! I don t typically do nail designs but 10000% if you do I recommend going to her just based on clientele that went in and photos

I am impressed with Valerian s quality and customer service! I had a couple nails crack the first two days after my appointment. When I contacted the salon, Bao, assured me that they would make it right. I was able to come in that same day. I assumed they would fix the two broken nails. Nope, even better! Sean took the time to redo the entire set to ensure that every nail met their quality expectations. Valerian is NOT the typical nail salon that you see on every corner. They take the time to do it right and if something goes wrong, they have a 10 day guarantee that backs up their work! I got neon green glow in the dark nails in a matte finish. This is seriously the BEST matte set I ve ever had. I can t see or feel any dips or divots in the nails. They re absolutely amazing!

I absolutely love this nail salon. Valerie does my nails, and Ive never had a nail tech be so kind, personable, and detail oriented. She takes her time to make sure my mani looks exactly how I want it to. She is also a joy to talk to while she does my nails! Not happy with the service. The length was cut too small as opposed to the picture that I showed. Plus they werent letting me look at the nails so I can see if theyre done accurately or not. When I came back home I the shape which was also not the same. Totally disappointed. Obviously I wont be coming back. I have my go to Salon named the Oscar lounge and they provide the best nail services in the town. It was my mistake to try a new but totally unprofessional nail spa. Not only that, the way she made me bend my wrist has given me a bad carpal tunnel syndrome. Its not my first time getting a nail service but theres a proper way of doing anything. Kindly please notice the shape of nails. Moreover, I requested them not to be careful and not to damage my skin but you can very well notice the skin beside my thumb how inflamed it is. Further editing after reading your unprofessional reaction, I didnt waste your time. You guys got paid for this horrible service. I thought that this location was convenient, welcoming, and nice. Upon arriving, I had decided what I wanted for my nail design. Once I arrived, I was told that the only person that could do the 3D nails (Valerie) was unavailable, even though when I booked the appointment I had selected Valerie as my technician. I was disappointed, but they did say I could come back another day to get it done. I did not want to have to do that, so I selected another design. The nail tech that did my pedicure was so sweet and spoke with me the whole time. The guy that did my acrylic nails was also nice, but his attention to detail on my acrylic was not there. My cuticle area has acrylic all on it and all around my nail. I think it just wasn t cleaned up properly and it looks messy. I just hope they don t lift due to the acrylic being on my cuticle. Also, the gemstones I got are all different sizes from hand to hand, so the consistency is not there. I also thought the prices were high because I didn t get long nails but was charged for it and also didn t have any gel or nail polish on my nails upon arrival, but was charged $5 for gel removal. I was charged $5 for nail shape but the tips I got were already shaped. I thought my inspiration pic and my nails would look very similar, but the silver on the nails is barely there and I had to ask for a second coat because it looked translucent. I got acrylic on my two big toes because my nail was not long and the acrylic doesn t go all the way back on my nail so it looks like it s already grown out and I just got them done on Friday (the guy that did my two big toes also was the one doing my acrylic nails). I also thought the timing was long because I was there for almost 4 hours. I think they started rushing at the end because more people were coming in and I had been there for a while at that point. All in all, I enjoyed my experience but wish some things went differently for the high price I paid. I expected higher quality work.
