Back porch has a cool welcoming environment with plenty of tvs for the sports minded people. My favorite dish here is the chicken bacon ranch tacos! Loads of deliciousness in every bite. Edit: I dont think you can place to go orders over the phone because they never answer. Thats s bummer.

It had been a long day, just wanted a burger and head back to the hotel. Googled best burgers in Temple. This place was the closest to the hotel that was on the list. They acted like it was a bother for me to be there. The burger was ok, the sweet potato fries where cold and were probably already cooked twice. I would have sent them back if i knew there was an upcharge. The server looked at me like what the. . . When I asked for napkin, utensils??? I should have read the reviews. Should have gone to McDonalds.

The drinks were great. The service sucked. Sat with empty drinks for over an hour and no service. Ordered an appetizer, which was just okay, but the service was so slow we left without ordering dinner. The bar area was not busy at all while we were there. Other tables around us were complaining as well about the service. The atmosphere and drinks are great but I don t know if we will return.

I came with a buddy and found a table at the bar near the front. We waited 10 minutes before someone came and said hi to us. We ordered a drink a piece and waited another 15 minutes for it to make it the 10 feet from the bar to us. We watched as several other tables full of people sat down, go no service, then walked out. Management is definitely not involved. I considered ordering food, but was not in the mood to wait an hour for it to arrive.

I had a disappointing experience at this drafthouse. The menu was extremely limited, with only a handful of choices available, which was very frustrating while ordering. To make matters worse, the drinks were weak and overpriced. Overall, the lack of variety and subpar quality made for a very underwhelming visit. Sad to say I won t be coming back. The new Gm has a lot of work to do.

Walked in the door got not a very happy greeting. Preceded to table ordered drinks then waitress came back so we could order food, as we are ordering she failed to tell us what they didn t have. She also had to go back and forth to see what kitchen had because they failed to communicate with her. First visit to this place so no expectations. First disappointment is that they did not have several menu items available. They did not provide a reason, just told us we could not order. I ordered the Double Wide burger and requested meat cooked medium with a light pink center. They do advertise you can order it cooked to your liking. It came out very well done, crunchy and dry. Overall, very disappointing and probably will not be returning, especially since they cannot keep inventory available.

I ordered to go. The atmosphere looked nice on a Thursday evening. The chili was too salty and greasey. The service was 0 stars. Got my order wrong, didnt add the extra bacon I paid $2.50 for, didnt get any ketchup, asked for ketchup and they walked like a turtle to get it from the kitchen, tiny packages. Burgers tasted okay. This place used to be amazing. We used to go every other weekend. In the last year it has really gone down hill. We barely go once a month and the food quality is not what it used to be. The waitress did what she could to keep us as happy as she could considering the way the kitchen was being ran. They never have the food you want or it takes FOREVER to get your food. For a restaurant that has an upcharge for anything you want to do, they have somehow managed to fail at every aspect of food. While they had no issues charging for things they apparently forgot that means they have to actually give you what you ordered. Smaller portions than SW hospital food, and somehow worse than Panera all at once. Definitely a one and done experience for our family. We will not be returning or ordering from here every again. Fries were somehow both overcooked and soggy at the same time Burger was dry, dull, and possibly made of cardboard. Salad with no dressing, mushrooms with no sauce. The SMALLEST Philly Ive ever seen. Paper thin chips, half of them very overcooked, the other half way too salty. Someone needs to teach their kitchen that you cant make chicken tenders in a dehydrator.

BUYER BEWARE! I love the food at Back Porch, however the service is hit and miss. I d like to share my experience ordering through their website using Toast. They use Toast for dine in, pickup and delivery at this point. For delivery, Toast uses Door Dash drivers and they only service the delivery portion of this process. Toast will tell you that only the restaurant may perform cancellations or changes to your order so everything is handled by the restaurant. I d like to preface this by saying we ve ordered and had food delivered this way many times before and aside from some missing condiments we ve never had to contact the restaurant for issues. We placed a delivery order at 5:11 with an anticipated delivery of 6:03. We understand this time frame is usually wrong and we tacked on an extra 20 mins to the time for our own expectations. We were notified the restaurant was preparing our order right away. As the time approached to 6pm we were not notified that a driver had been selected and we tried to contact the restaurant through the Toast number directly and through the number they have listed with Google and received no answer. We began to drive to the restaurant at 6:24pm. About 5 minutes from the restaurant I get a notification that a Door Dash driver is waiting for our food and when we pull in to park I called him right away. I met him in the front of their restaurant and got the food and took it inside. The takeout containers didn t feel warm to the touch at all. A manager came over to assist us and after I explained the situation and asked for a refund they accommodated me right away. They engaged with me very politely and took care of what I asked. My problem lies with what this manager said to me. When I told her that we ordered the food and had been waiting over an hour for delivery with no response from the restaurant, she told me she noticed that the food had been sitting back there for awhile. This means that they knowingly and intentionally were going to send me cold food. I was completely appalled. The time at this point is almost 7pm. We got to a restaurant that we enjoyed eating at only to be completely disappointed and they didn t so much as offer any apologies or explanations. I was genuinely so sad after this experience.

The server was not attentive! We had to ask for straws, flat ware she failed to see if we needed water refills. Two of our food order was incorrect, not the food came out at the same time! I had to tell the server we didnt get a Buffalo Wing salad. My adult granddaughter bowl had a crack half way across the bowl, she did not until she was about halfway through eating the salad. The server said that she could give her something else to eat, but everyone else was done eating. We had to ask for them to comp that salad. She had to check with the manager. Overall we will not go back. Cost of our meal $155.35 not counting the tip, if the server knew what a penny meant for a tip, that is what I would have left. Instead I gave her 15% not my usual 20/25%.

This is the first time in my life that I did not leave a tip. The server was sweet but unfortunately the place is not managed well. Family of seven, dined in. First problem, they brought out two dishes and told us that they were out of ingredients for one of the meals. We ordered something else. They brought out 3 more dishes and they waited until the served the chicken fried steak to tell us that they were out of gravy, which is a key component of the dish. Everyone else was pretty much finished with dinner before the last meal was served. We had to ask for drink refills which was a little frustrating to be served a spicy jalepeno dish without a drink. The Jalepeno popper burger was delicious. Another issue is while the server was taking orders the manager came out and whispered in her ear several times, which felt uncomfortable. We had to ask for an extra sauce several times and did not get it until the end when I asked for to go boxes and the bill. I felt bad for the server because she was very sweet and did her best but overwhelmed as I noticed she was also bussing tables and I had to flag her down after 10-15 minutes of not checking in. I would definitely consider this place to be mismanaged. Food was good and server was nice.

Our first experience was very positive, Alexandra was our server in the dining portion of the restaurant. Service with a smile overall good experience. Food was good. The last couple of times our visits were to the bar area with different results. Actually worse experience two separate bartenders, Two separate locations Most recent experience was the night of May 25, 2024. The last visit, the bartenders name was Alexis. Not very attentive at all no smile, not very friendly when I asked for a beer menu. She wanted to the QR code on the table. But that doesn t show any other craft beer menu that they have. And they have a lot. Which is what I wanted to look at because I like to try different things, but she did not seem interested in providing that kind of service. Over the years eating here we have left disappointed more times I like to admit. We know the food is usually good but the service is always lousy. Well, craving the wings we gave it another shot. After being seated more than 5 minutes of no server greeting us - Jazmin came over and helped us even though it was not her section. We are so thankful she stuck with us our entire dining experience. The brisket nachos are great and I love the fresh chips they make for this dish. It makes a HUGE difference when they are fresh chips. The only complaint I have about them is the cooks literally put hardly NO queso on them . I had to pay extra to just get queso. Tell your cook put queso on the nachos and not a spoonful. Smh My husband ordered the cowboy burger and it was extremely small. It looked like something from sonic. Poor burger. What happened to them? They used be big burgers stacked well. Quality has definitely gone down hill.

Different kind of place, food was good except wifes fish taco were dry and overcooked and the sour cream requested had to be requested again, my sandwich was one of the better French dips of late. Bathroom had no toilet paper in the womans room, kinda a no-no. Will come back sometime because the menu is so diverse.

This is the first restaurant I went to after spending a year away from the US, and the customer service was very good. I had the Smoke Stack Bloody Mary, it was a little sourer and salty for my taste(most of my review on here are Bloody Mary based) and the French fries were super salty.

What a wonderful restaurant and bar. Back Porch Drafthouse is a dream that has come true in South Temple. Located in the Gateway Mall btthe Cinemark Theatre. Great Burgers and Sandwiches along with some great draft Beers. They definitely know what they are doing. Not only classified as a sports bar but dining areas for the whole family to go too. I actually enjoyed it very much. Look for Macy, a fantastic Server that waited my table. Food and beverages, she was a 5 all the way. I have to highly recommend this place, great vibes from beginning to end. 5 s plus they also have an outdoor area to sit and enjoy. Update: 5 Nov,2023. A very nice Sunday brunch. Had myself a Cobb salad. Was excellent. Great service and fantastic food along with a great atmosphere. I still recommend this restaurant. Update: 11 Feb, 2024. We ordered OG Hamburger and Okie Ruben. Hamburger was good, while the Ruben was tasty it didn t have much pastrami. You can have all the ketchup you want but they charge you extra for mustard. Watch the double tip, ended up paying a 33% tip as they automatically applied a tip and then later prompt you through their app for a tip.

Always short on staff and the two servers they have working pre-warn their tables about it, however, we wait over 20 minutes for her to even check on us after our first drink order and they waited to tell us they were out of strawberries until the French toast was brought out . First time I came here the heater was out at 20 degrees and the servers were not allowed to wear jackets. Horrible place to work as a female that has to dress in crops and short shirts as a uniform.

It was me and my wife first time. From the start it was bad. Sat down and the bench you sit on was broken and the backrest part of the booths were all broken. Every booth we looked at was broken uneven bench s. I noticed when we were seated we didn t get any utensils. The very next group that sat behind us I noticed as she was seating them, hand them there menu s and utensils. So I asked her, can we get some silverware. She comes back with a menu as if our group just sat ourselves down. Mind you we had already been in here for 20 minutes and made our orders. The food was good, shot out to the chefs . The table that was same size group as ours that sat right behind us. They brought their food out b4 ours. 10 minutes later then ours came out, looking at there table as I got up noticed we ordered similar items. Never going back or recommending this place order for pickup only maybe

Every bench seat and backrest broken. People sitting behind you causing you to spill your drink and poke yourself with your fork. Watered down fishbowl drink for 9.50. Thats pathetic. No silverware, ketchup, napkins ... Nothing. Had to get up to get it all. On a Friday evening. Never going back.

I dont why BP doesnt just shut their doors in temple. Tried to order several items but they were out which is about par for this place. Waitress seemed very uninterested and kept forgetting items and refills. Seemed like she didnt really care to be working. Heard several other customers complaining about the same stuff. Just a very poor atmosphere doesnt seem to be managed very good. Keep trying to give them another chance but nothing has changed

Been going here for quite some time the staff always goes above and beyond to make sure my food is 100 to my satisfaction! But Id like to single out one person in particular, DASH!! shes a manager and is exactly what is needed in more restaurants around the world to bad theres only one of her!! Went at 3:00pm on a Saturday. There were barely any customers, but it took 10 minutes to be seated. Food came out- fries were cold, chewy, and tasted like fish. The burger was good, though. Server did not come by to check on us and completely forgot about refilling my husbands water. Had to go to the host stand to find someone to pay our bill. 10 out of 10 do NOT recommend.

So I thought about starting a tradition and bro my other best friend here for lunch while we wait for the dealership to add his window tint and accessories to his new vehicle. The service at the bar was awesome! The bar tenders kept communications and drinks going. The ambiance of this facility is rocking! The food today was delicious! I ordered the T-Bam and my best friend ordered the chicken Philly steaks. The T-Bam was phenomenally delicious! We walked in during lunch with no wait. They do have an outside patio out front and parking lot is plentiful.

It s honestly been pretty bad the last few times I ve gone. This most recent time we got there around 7:30 got seated and ordered our appetizers and entrees. We then waited about 20 minutes and our entrees came before the apps. When we asked about them the waitress told us that she s not allowed to bring the appetizers until her manager says so. We were able to finish our entrees before the first appetizer came out (sliders) and when we asked where our pretzel was she let us know it hasn t even been dropped yet. It had literally been 45 minutes since we ordered. Our sliders were clearly microwaved.. they tasted like hot plastic and they were very dry. When we asked for our check they had finally brought the pretzel but we were turned off from that and asked if they could remove it. The manager did so it was awesome. When we were leaving one of the told us to have a good night clearly being sarcastic lol. Anyways this place used to be awesome. Can t really say that anymore. :/

I wish I had better things to say about this place. The patio outside was nice and quiet. However, the server forgot about us and the food was not good. They missed things on our order. She did correct the receipt to reflect the up charges we missed, but she didn t know we were missing anything until we were done with our food and drinks. The burgers tasted disgusting and the sweet potato waffle fries were frozen and then over fried. The drinks were okay. The mule was decent. The perfect margarita was way too sweet and the booze chick was not one of my favorites (definitely a personal opinion, but I wanted it to be good). The fruit they put in the drink wasn t even fresh. Just very disappointing and won t be back.

If I could give another star I would! After following their facebook for a while I stopped in to watch the game last night & enjoy every second of it, we even asked if they could play sound & they did it with no hesitation! Between the food, service, and signature drinks I was happy! My boyfriend is a beer drinker and enjoyed conversing with the district manager Carlee about the many different draft & styles of beer they offered! The general manager Shae also came over and checked on us multiple times throughout our visit!! I had the Full Monte & she explained how they have a new special each month!!! My boyfriend had the loaded wings & enjoyed it as well!! Cannot wait to come back!! Dietary restrictions: They offered a gluten free menu!

For a while now this has been a weekly staple. Unfortunately the staff changes so often that it makes it more difficult each time they change. Management almost changes as often as the staff does. Some bartenders know what their regulars like making it feel like Cheers and others have no clue. You can definitely see the fall in popularity over the years. Suggestion - if you have good bar staff do what is needed to a reasonable point to keep them on.
