We dined at Lupe Tortilla. It wit was not that crowand it was around the dinner hour after work. We were seated right away, but they didnt bring us any water while any silverware. Until we requested it several minutes later, my server was busy working with somebody else and didnt give us any attention. The young manager had to come over and he basically took canvas, but he was trying to do too many things at 1 time I ord. Ered the mixed fajitas, chicken and beef. And she ordered the quail. It took for ever for the quail to come. My food, I got cold waiting on earth. And then when it came, they had burnt. The quail really bad so they had to redo it. Then they had to take my food, reheat it. D*** i* took him a long time to cook the quill. A second time the surface left a lot to be desired. Now, the charro beans as an appetizer were delicious other than that, the meal was kind of forgettable. Im considering the distance that we drove to get there, I would not make a return trip when I visit Houston. Again

This was the Best experience ever. REESE, my waiter, made my dinner encounter unforgetable. He did not just greet my table with a smile but he greeted us like we were family and he really cared. One of my favorite places to eat. Ask for the fajita platter and you have food for 3 people! Chips and salsa when youre waiting for food. Very busy, but theres a joyful vibe. Love the decor and colors!! Party orders are ready on time and with plenty of cutlery, well packed and timely. Parking available at the back, can be tight during busy times.

Really good service. We came in with a limited amount of time to eat and food allergies to deal with. The waitress and manager talked to us and we received our food very quickly. And, when there was a mistake with allergies (probably because we were hurrying), they immediately tried to fix it.

Had a spur of the moment dinner with my mother n law; we didnt have to wait long before we were called. I ordered fajitas(beef/chicken), 1/2lb it was just enough for the both of us with the chips & salsa. Tasted great!! Our server Lenin was very attentive and polite. This was not a good impression for a first time visit to this restaurant. Consideration/Understanding acknowledged for large party without reservation- 1. Service was very slow (Sat. lunch time 1:00pm) with restaurant not at or near capacity restraints 2.Standing and Waiting on additional sitting/ had to find out own chairs 3. New staff working diligently but unable to handle the group of 20 + assigned 4. Request items had to be repeated more than twice before it was followed through ie silverware ,napkins, chips, water, lemons etc. 5. Mix up on entre orders to clients/ Food was not hot when served 6. Frozen Alcoholic beverages were not comparable to menu advertisement or for prices. Managerial staff intervention immediately following the voicing of dissatisfaction with alcoholic drinks. Explanation given but no compensation offered. 7.Service was not equivalent to the mandatory gratuity provided. Parking: Need more handicap parking Wheelchair accessibility: Spaces small in aisle and at tables and bathroom to maneuver with wheelchair/ assistive devices.

Had to leave due to excessive cussing from a loud customer at the bar who made sure to let everyone know he was a regular after asking the manager to ask him to refrain from using the F-word, and many other cuss words while child were present. Gentleman decided to continue after the manager asked him to stop. If this is a regular then Ill go somewhere else. Did not eat, so cannot rate food, service for a little slow for not being busy.

I love Lupe Totillas. My go to is their chile con queso with chicken fajita. If you like cheese, I highly recommend it. Fajitas and tortillas are excellent. This is a tex-mex restaurant. A general rule is that taqueras are better than tex-mex, but Lupe Tortilla is the best tex-mex restaurant. I say to try it at least once.

My husband and I went after church and our wait time was 10 minutes at best. Our wait staff was friendly and personable. We ordered the praline waffles and shrimp omelet w/o the jalapeños. They were delicious!! The restaurant was a bit noisy but I attribute that to everyone enjoying the experience. Definitely putting LT in the rotation.

Service was a little slow the last time I ate there two weeks ago. You know the kind of slow where you kinda have to rely on chips and salsa or caso and by the time your food gets to your table you just need a to go box! On this visit I ordered the fish tacos, but sent them back after two bites. They make them with corn tortilla, nonbattered mahi mahi (not grilled) plain shredded iceberg lettuce and put a kind of like pico on top of the lettuce. Honestly it was very dry. I took two bites and that s all I could take. I like fish tacos with shredded cabbage pickled or plane with a fish taco sauce with a slice of avocado and lime. The manager did apologize, offered me something else and took the tacos off my order. I would not order them again.

I ve gone to Lupe Tortilla for years. I genuinely love the food and especially the fajitas which I believe is their specialty. I know I sound old (which I m not) to say this but it s just gotten too loud and too expensive for what you get. Fajitas for 1 is about $28. Reminder, this is fajitas, which is not the finest cut of meat. This easily turns a lunch for 2 into $75 which is a bit steep in my opinion. As for the noise, I m not sure what can be done there. Seems like the background music makes everyone talk louder which in turn makes everyone else talk louder so you find yourself practically screaming at one another over dinner (and that s without even a reason to fight). Overall, good food, atmosphere and service. Price is getting out of hand and the noise is excessive.

I recently dined at Lupe Tortilla Pearland , and I must say it was an incredibly disappointing experience. When the food finally did come, it was a complete letdown. The food were bland and seemed to be hastily prepared. The main course, which was supposed to be a signature dish, was overcooked and practically inedible. The shrimp was dry no , the beans were descent , and the seasoning was non-existent. To top it all off, the portions were ridiculously small for the exorbitant prices they charged. As for the waiter , didn t come back to asked did i want my change. She just kept it , making it impossible for me to knot leave this review. Overall, I would not recommend Lupe Tortilla Pearland to anyone. Save your time and money and go somewhere else where they actually care about the quality of food and service.

The new manager there by the name of Joseph is so amazing and polite. I had a bad experience there a couple months ago where there was glass in my food and the lady manager at that time was very inconsiderate and nonchalant. I happen to speak with Joseph about the experience and he did everything in his power to accommodate me. It wasn t needed but he was so considerate and concerned and I truly appreciated that! I am extremely disappointed. My friend and I purchased a late night dinner back on 2/29 Three calls over a month no resolution after being advised that it would be resolved by the GM. Last call was told they had my indo and its been escalated to GM and took my email. Ive checked inbox, spam, and trash ..NOTHING! Both dishes were soggy as if they tried to stretch the sauce that was lacking flavor Last call was in April no follow up. Part of the delay in my review is due to the fact that I frequent this location and it is one of my go to spots, dinning in Ive not had any issues. But its asinine that Ive had to call so many times and its been three months and three days. Customer service from management is piss poor! Management sets the tone for the employees. Went in to try the brunch today which was terrible. We were there early, before the rush and there weren t many people there. I was looking forward to the banana pancakes and was highly disappointed when 1. The banana was sliced up on top of the pancakes! Why weren t they cooked inside? This was just a pancake with bananas on the side. 2. The food was lukewarm, not hot at all! I usually make a big deal because I hate lukewarm food that s been sitting up before it came out, but I just went ahead and ate it. One of the ladies I came with sent her food back to have it remade because it was cold. The pan sausage patties were good, but the potatoes weren t impressive. Just chunks of cold potatoe, very basic. I really expected more!!! The one plus is that my friend let me try some of her veggie quesadillas which were good and flavorful.

The food and service here was amazing and above our expectations. We ordered the Queso and Guacamole as a starter. For the entrees: Streak Shrimp and Chicken fajitas. The Cedar Plank Salmon and 2 kids meals. Which came with dessert for the kids. Our server went above and beyond. We never had to ask for drink refills..or anything, she was on top of it! The jalapeño tarter sauce? Phenomenal! I need them to sell that in a jar! The food was delicious. Everything had a great flavor profile, came out hot and fresh. I will say the booths could probably use some refreshing on the cushioning. Maybe it was just ours but I felt as though I was sliding off; it was sunken and slanted. I m 5ft 110lbs .so yeah might be time refresh the seating but other than that we enjoyed the food and the service and will definitely be back!! I was trying to find authentic Mexican food and this wasn t it it felt like prepackaged food idk why but the flavors were lacking the tortillas I I tough they would be fresh they were very rubbery and felt like the ones I buy at the store. The enchilada sauce tasted very similar to the prepackaged ones if they can fix or change the flavors on the food to more authentic the beans tasted very over cooked and i didn t like the meat in them . Racist host refused to seat me and my guest outdoors , He said he was too busy however, coincidentally . How many were seated after I left ? Who don t look like me ? March 24 2024 We had the queso and avocado stuffed crab. As always the queso is delicious and the crab was really good too. Our service was excellent and it wasn t too terribly loud this afternoon. We will come back, again and again. The place was pretty quiet today but we did beat the dinner rush. Our server, Emily, was pleasant and friendly. The food was good. The queso was delicious and the salsa was also good but should come with a warning. It is very spicy. Hubby and I shared the flautas, which were tasty but a little chewy on the ends.

Stopped in for dinner. Food tasted good and the margarita was very delicious and had plenty to refill it with as they brought a small container with the extra. I had the chicken enchiladas which tasted very good. It was not busy at all and we got in and out pretty fast. Food

I used door dash and that was the only positive from this order . I ordered a queso with taco meat , and for $11.95 I got a very small container of cheese with meat , chips were tossed in a bag and were actually kinda stale . Also had a 1/2 lb of steak fajitas , they needed to be heated up so not sure they were hot at any point in the recent past . The side of refried beans were disgusting, and the rice was so so, there was also a small side of ridiculously HOT charro type beans , but it was mostly peppers . For the amount of money they charge for a meal the least they could do was make it appealing and decent . And since I havent eaten here in years , have they always served dinner plate size tortillas with a meal ? And not to be overdone with this fabulous meal (NOT) I added a SWEET Tea to my order for $3.35 which consisted of a cup of regular tea in a small glass with sweetener taped to the top . Are you serious ? Why list sweet tea as an option if you dont have any ? And charge me over $3 for it. This was a one and done with me and Lupe Tortilla folks , what a rip off. I wish I could add pictures , its really laughable .

My family and I came in for dinner on a Friday as a group of 5 adults and a baby. The wait list time was about 30-40 minutes for us, which was not terrible. The host, Aka, sat us inside at a table that was right under an air vent. The section we were sitting in was freezing cold! I asked the host if it was possible for the cold air to be turned down as it was blowing right at the table and, again, was freezing cold. He put his hands up in a shrug saying he didn t have control of it and started walking away without waiting for a response or asking if we were even okay with the table. I asked since he could not, if the managers could do anything about the freezing cold and he turned back to us looking and sounding annoyed that the best he could do was ask. I am not sure, but I really doubt he asked about it as he never returned to give us an update. Then our waitress, Suyapa, came to get our drink order and I asked her if they could do anything about the air. She said she was not sure because she thought it was automatic, but she would ask. She took longer than expected to come back with our drinks, but when she did, she told us that they could not do anything about the air because it was as low as possibly already and if would affect the whole restaurant if the air was turned off. She also said that people had been complaining about it all evening. The food took long to come out as well. We noticed other tables that sat after us that got their food before us. This was a bit understandable since we were a larger group. The food and drinks were okay, but their rice is not my favorite. While we were eating, Suyapa did not come check on us more than once or twice. We could not fully enjoy our dinner because of the freezing cold, so we tried using a broom that was propped against the wall to close the vent pointing at us. Then, Isaiah, from the kitchen, walked over and asked if we needed help with something. We told him we were just trying to close the vent because it was so cold. He said for us not to worry about it and he would take care of it. I watched him walk to the other side of the room and simply turn off the air. FINALLY! We were so grateful for him!! We were able to enjoy the rest of our dinner and evening. Isaiah was not our waiter/watress at all, but he was the only one that resolved the biggest issue of the night for us. He knows real customer service and problem solving. After the air was turned off, it was much more comfortable to finish our meal. If it was not for Isaiah quick problem solving and excellent customer service, I would have given 1 star only. Because of the poor service from the other staff, and the okay at best food, I cannot see myself going back anytime soon, we usually prefer Gringos anyways.

We frequented this place! I love their charro beans and their beef fajita taco salad. They told us it would be a one hour wait and we were seated within 15 min. We love this place and the quality of the service and food

Wanted to eat some Mexican food on Super bowl Sunday. My usual place closed early. So we settled on Lupe Tortilla. Ordered to-go. Service was busy but was great at getting orders out. Menu was limited for what we wanted. Prices were expensive. 1lb Fajitas was over $70. All food and salsa was too spicey. Way more than usual. Flour tortillas were large but way too thin to eat comfortably without it splitting open and food falling out. Based on food and menu we may not order here again.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant but this last time I came the service was poor we had a young lady who was very rude to me and my partner she acted as if she did not want to service us I ordered what I always get the beef quesadillas and I guess she was busy but she brought me a carne asada with shrimp and I am highly allergic to shrimp I was very disappointed I do not think I will be back

Andy was our server tonight and I have to say he made this such an amazing evening out. He catered to us and our 2 yr old serenity hand and foot. Made sure he took away empty dishes right when we were through with them. He also gave great recommendations (fajitas and enchiladas were to die for. Thank you Andy for a great experience. This was my first time taking my dad to this restaurant and he was not impressed they gave us a first timers welcome appetizer which was a beef fajita. It was very cold and I dont ever recall fajitas being served cold...we were both disappointed the server asked us twice in a short period of time if we were ready to order. It made my dad uncomfortable so I ordered for the both of us. I clearly stated that we wanted the beef enchilada plate but she brought us cheese instead. After making her aware of the mistake she offered to correct it and bring us beef enchiladas without replacing the entire order and expecting us to eat the cold beans and rice. I asked for a manager and she decided to bring us a warm replacement of beans and rice. Maybe it is the ice cream station but my dad and I agreed that Johnny Tamales is much better

I ve been going to this Lupe for years and it has continued to get more and more expensive with less and less food. I went with my family to happy hour today and the deal is 1.50 off of an 11.50 margarita. Overall, the food is good but portions have absolutely gotten smaller. I couldn t recommend it fully but if you re in Pearland and need to eat, it s a decent option.

The title of this complaint is called piss, poor customer, service piss, poor communication, and cold food! I ve visited this location on December. 26th. I Placed an order for the tex mex enchiladas to go. I had an accident on the 23rd. I burned myself very bad and I had been out of the house for a couple days. I decided to treat myself to an early dinner and a movie. I ve placed my order and waited over 20 minutes to receive it. I Got in the car was headed to the movies to see the color purple and i attempted to eat my meal before I got there. MY FOOD WAS COLD and the cheese was not melted. I went to the movie and on the way home stopped in to get my order corrected. The manager that I spoke to was named Ben. He put in an order, which again took over 25 minutes to make. He asked me to look at the food before I left, and I just wanted to make sure that the food was hot. Which it was. I did not look at the contents of the food. I was just making sure it was hot. When I got home, this is what I received. A plate with hardly any rice, and there was no lettuce and tomatoes which really ties the dish together and again my cheese was NOT melted. I went back home to eat my dinner and I had to drive back to the restaurant for a third time and I made them remake my order. The food still was not prepared correctly. I was in an extreme amount of pain due to having second and third-degree burns on a large part of my stomach. I am no longer going to patronize Lupe tortilla restaurants because there seems to be a disconnect with a person spending their hard earned money for their food and the customer service they are receiving. This is not the only location I ve had issues with. I ve had issues with the Kirby location. Again, I spent my money, but did not receive what I paid for and management does not call you back. Today is January 7 and I ve left four messages 2 with corporate and 2 with the Pearland location. Your customer service sucks!

This place is average I have had much better Mexican food ,Lil pricey for average Mexican food nothing sets them apart . The service was not good we set down took a while to get acknowledged by the server ,longer to drink drinks , a while to place order when food came out no silverware we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come by to ask them for silverware while food is getting cold . A good server would have made sure of that when they brought drinks to the table . All of this total makes a two to three star dining . Id pass on going here .

Management needs updates. I have family in town for the holidays and we went for lunch this last friday. My son ordered a draft beer and his gf a small drink. It took over 35 min for there drinks to come, they came after the food was almost gone. Our poor waitress was trying to get the manger to check on drinks for us and he just ignored her then they start to argue in front of out table about it and he just keeps sweeping the floor. Then they finally come and the waitress says ill send the management over cuz these drinks should be free for such a long wait,we said ok thanks. A lady from the back comes out all dirty like a cook and asking is everything alright, we said yes assuming that was the chef not management becasue she said nothing about out drinks. Bill comes and drinks are not comped so we ask for the manager and now two ladies come to our table like we didnt something wrong and was like oh im glad our waitress is just giving away freee drinks! After another 20 min of unprofessional management we finally got two well earned drinks off the bill. I felt so bad for our sever and that bartender seemed to have a huge chip on his shoulder picking and choosing what drinks he wanted to make as everybody elses drinks at the tables were coming.

I had heard good things about this place so we decided to try it. Sadly, it was a total disappointment. Food was overpriced and bland. It was actually the worst Mexican food Ive ever had. Ive had better at food trucks, hole in the wall joints, even Taco Bell. The margaritas were just okay. Service was poor. Needless to say I wont be back.

On 12/23/2023. Placed an order. While waiting in curbside I decided to call inside to check on my order. I was place on hold four times within the same call. I ve been on hold for 20 minutes while I type my review. I will never order from this location again. A simple order took over an hour to receive and 20 mins on hold before I could ask a question. I plan to tell everyone I know in our area never order online, curbside or by phone again. Service sucked!
