I m SO glad that TRH sucked. Coming to this Salt Grass was 1000 times better. Our server, Jeff, was incredible. We got seated, the staff was polite and attentive, Jeff was the ideal server, and the food was great. We will be back! The porch swing was a fantastic drink. Did we mention Jeff? He was fantastic.

A group of 5 walked in just before me. The hostess took their name and walked away and around the restaurant. She talked with Travis. She sat them, came back to me, and seemed disappointed that I was a 1. Then she looked at her map, walked around the restaurant again, looked at her map, and finally seated me. 8 minutes passed since I walked in. I was seated at a table for two and was told Erin would wait on me. 9 minutes passed. Then Ivan saw me and assisted me. I ordered water for drink and ordered the 8 oz sirloin snd Salmon with greenbeans. Ivan promptly brought water and my tortilla soup. Then the main course arrived. Steak was cooked properly. The salmon was overcooked (I like Salmon almost raw. Cooked like Ahi Tuna. 1-2 min a side). Travis came by and asked. I told him I forgot to tell Ivan that the Salmon needed to be barely cooked. Travis made it right. Impressed. Quite good. Thanks

Medium well filet mignon was butchered, as in a lumpy, misshapen piece of beef with a huge piece of inedible connective tissue down the middle. Part of the steak was medium, part medium rare, and only about a third was edible. Salt Grass has become more like a low end steak restaurant.

Everything but the server was great. We even reserved a table at 615. Got sat right away. Waited for like 20min to even order normal drinks. And then had to like 30 min for him to bring the drinks. Even other tables he was waiting on kept looking all over for him. Needles to say he ruined the experience of the place. Got sat a 615pm didnt get out till 8pm. Alex was the server. Definitely was pissed off. Was our first time trying it out.

Salads come out a few minutes before your meal. Manager said he would keep the food warm, one plate was not, so they took it back to reheat. The Brussels sprouts were burnt when they came back out, they did replace. We felt really bad for complaining. 20min to get drinks! First time at Salt grass. Our 2pm reservation for a party of 8 was not ready on time even though we were all present. Our waiter Santiago took our drink orders then ghosted us. We had to find him just to get him to put in our food order around 2:45p. We finally got our food at 3:06pm. When gratuity is included most waiters have the common sense to be attentive. Our sodas were never refilled. Our alcoholic drinks were also empty. We would ve ordered another round if he just simply would ve asked. Also the environment was super dark and the AC seemed to be set at 75 degrees just enough to let you know it s on, but not enough to make you feel comfortable. On top of that, Santiago literally chased us out of the restaurant carrying the receipt book asking for a tip or he would have to run my card again. We had to show him on the receipt where we did in fact tip his lack of service. I was embarrassed for him. $300 down the drain.

Very disappointed with the quality of the service and their food. My wifes steak was hard to cut and even harder to eat due to it being slightly burned. The sides were not up to par. The service was non existent. Our waiter came only 3 times in the 45 minutes we were there. Overall, a terrible place to eat.

This Saltgrass location never fails to impress on their service and food quality. The hosts can be a bit dry or rude but they arent as well trained as the rest of their team. I frequent this location often, and its my go to choice. Parking is plenty, however it does get busy, having a reservation is suggested. Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu, and good price. Wheelchair accessibility: Location had a large and comfortable ramp for wheelchairs.

As a Landry member I would expect better service. Call ahead to be told there s no wait, show up for a 25 minute wait, which was tolerable. We get a notification our table is ready to get to the podium and find they gave it away, and our wait is over an hour. Spoke to their arrogant manager who was not willing to accommodate us in anyway. With two kids, this was despicable! We are frequent eaters here, and will not be back!

Being my first time is this state, I had no idea what the place was all about. I was hoping something fun and different. Then we pull in, and I see steak house. Surprise, surprise. Upon entry, the atmosphere was kind of dark, the hostess, sweet. The scent, typical steakhouse. The menu presented the same as well, chicken, steak, and fish. The salmon was my selected entree with herb rice and chicken tortilla soup. The salmon had a steak flavor once chewed a bit. However, it was well prepared, tender & flaky. The herb rice lacked in herb but had plenty of veg. The tortilla soup, which Ive never had before, had a bit of a sour taste to it. Unsure if that is intended or not, but it was good. My companions, of course, ordered steak & elaboration was limited. I have to give up kudos to the staff, they were all very pleasant & our server was quite knowledgeable about the menu which was great. A return to try the crabcajes may be in the future.

Dear Rosenberg location: I realize that Easter Sunday is a busy day for restaurants. Id like to suggest that you take into consideration that you will have large parties. Instead of making them wait until another large party finish dining why not just pull a couple of tables together to accommodate them. Instead, you seated 5-10 other small groups in front of them. You still get your money and sometimes more. Once we finally got seated after a long wait, we noticed how much room you had to make that adjustment. Your management was not on their job. We came to your location because our guest were heading back to Dallas. The 99 exit was convenient. However, once seated the service was fine. Just a friendly suggestion.

I would have to go as far as saying this is one of the best saltgrass steakhouses in the surrounding Houston area. Its in Sugarland which is Fort bend county on the border of Richmond, Texas. Its very clean. First time eating here. I ordered the fillet and shrimp. My meal came out with no shrimp and the server acted like I was putting her out by wanting them. I was ready to leave by the time they brought them but they did take it off my bill. The steak was not cooked medium as requested, it was very rare. The service was good, but the food disappointed. I ordered the steak medium but it came out well-done. The mash potatoes were almost liquid, not the proper consistency. The best tasting thing was the ceaser salad. This is my only time visiting this location so I dont know if this low quality is common. First time going into a restaurant since the pandemic began last March. The food was great and our server was very friendly. If there was anything to complain about, it was the overly loud music. But, we never asked about the possibility of turning it down...

I called this salt grass and asked if they had a specific dessert. They said YES. I arrive, order a nice meal then go to order my dessert and they say they don t have it. Being pregnant and hoping to have something and it s not there is not a great feeling.

Tables were to close together. I could hardly get out of my chai to get up. Also the noise level was outrageous. We could not even hear the person three feet across from us. It was such a relief for all in our group to finish dinner and leave. Why don t y all expand the size of the building so tables can be spread out further apart. To bad. We would go there more often if we re not for these issues. Vegetarian options: The broccoli was awesome! Recommendation- serve a gluten free bread also for those on a gluten free restriction. Wow the grilled chicken was fantastic.

Ordered a medium rare steak, it came out medium/medium well. We were in a rush and couldn t wait for another one so we didn t say anything. It s a steakhouse, you had one job! Smh. Other than that, food was underwhelming but edible. Green beans and fried mushrooms were good.

This location has been in a downward spiral the last year we have been coming. We are regulars at this location eatting 2 times a month here. The servers we get are inattentive as well as forget simple requests. Tonight was the first time I ever did not tip. Adding the minute our salads were serve our main course was served with no room on the table. I said we would like to eat our salad first please. They said they would put it under the heat lamps while we ate. Bad mistake we got our dinner and it was cold. Horrible experience never will we come back to this location.

Their bread, grilled chicken, potato...all so good!! I have had dental pain and the chicken was tender enough to eat. The bread was soft and flavorful and potato was the right consistency not to cause pain while I chewed! Thank you!
