This place is awesome! It was our first time and we were treated like royalty. We ordered a little bit of everything from habachi, sushi rolls, soups, salads, edamame and adult beverages. Every item we ordered was prepped to perfection and the balance of flavors were beyond satisfaction. Staff was also very accommodating, we will be back!

I live in Indiana and visit my aunt in Sugarland a few times a year. Every time I visit we go here and every time its a 10/10. Service is great and food is fresh and amazing. Spider roll and spicy tuna roll are two of my faves. This time I also tried the nemo roll and it was fantastic.

I recently tried duck liver and a salmon sushi roll. **Duck Liver:** This adventurous choice had a rich flavor, but it felt overwhelming for my taste. It s not for everyone. **Salmon Sushi Roll:** The salmon roll was fantastic! Fresh and well-balanced, it was a highlight of the meal. **Overall:** While I didn t enjoy the duck liver, the salmon roll was a win. Came here earlier this week because I was craving Gyoza. There werent many people in the restaurant and thats probably because it was around 3pm. The interior is very nice and Im sure the atmosphere would have been even better If I had come by in the evening. I ordered the Gyoza, Crab Puffs (Or perhaps they were called cream cheese puffs), and the Philadelphia roll. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the food before eating it but the presentation was nice. Crab Puffs/Cream Cheese Puffs The outside was crunchy and the inside was rich and creamy. The filling was very sweet and seemed to be mixed with chunks of crab. But there were too few crab chunks mixed in that I barely noticed until I took a closer look. There was also less filling than what I expecting, so when I picked up the puff it was almost flat other than the folded ends that stick up on the top. The sauce that was served with the puffs was also really sweet, so I opted to not mix them together. If you are someone who is looking for a sweet/crunchy appetizer, you might want to order this. Unfortunately, I was expecting something more savory and this was too sweet for me, so I likely will not order this dish again. Gyoza The Gyoza were not as crunchy as I was anticipating. The bottom had a bit of crunch to them but it was minimal. And the filling was bland/inoffensive. I took a look inside and I couldnt notice any seasonings or ingredients other than the meat. It didnt taste bad, but it also wasnt remarkable. The sauce served with this dish was tasty and definitely did most of the leg work when it came to flavor. Philadelphia Roll The fillings used inside the roll were bigger than what Im used to seeing at other places, which is always a plus. The salmon was smoked and delicious which worked well with the avocado and cream cheese they used. All combined, this dish gave rise to a smokey, rich, and creamy flavor. I really liked this dish Overall, this being the first time I visit this restuarant, it was ok. I might visit again the future to give the gyoza another shot.

I ve been here a couple of times and the food is always good. The servers are always attentive and multiple people always try to help if you need something. What s cool is their happy hour! It feels like it s all the time. The same we got was delicious And for the three people It s was around 70-89 bucks. It was my birthday so I didn t see the bill, but we got 4 rolls, 4 appetizers and a bottle of sake. It was awesome! Also anytime we go, it s never super packed and they get the rolls out so fast! Came here on sat 7/9 and let me tell you. This place is awesome, the customer service is to notch, the food is delish and the atmosphere is on point. We were seated so fast that my wife looked stunned when I told her. We brought our two year old and they attended to him like a regular person. Brought him age appropriate items without us having to ask. The gal poured my beer for me, they attended to my son bringing him extra napkins and always said hello to him when they came to our table. What was really impressive was the team work of the staff, everyone of them approached our table at individual times to make sure everything was there. This is now our go to restaurant for family dinner night. Update: Just picked up a takeout. The three sushi rolls are on the verge of edible and go bad. I get that it s getting hot outside but come on now. There s nothing worse than biting into 3 sushi rolls that have that distinct fishy has been to warm taste. Very disappointing.

My daughters have always loved this place so I finally tried it. It was amazing!! I dont eat sushi, but they also serve Chinese dishes and hibachi dishes. And they have happy hour prices for those who do eat sushi. Portions were huge!! I will definitely be back!!! Vegetarian options: My daughter is vegan and has no trouble finding things to eat here!

I must express my profound admiration for the salmon roll, shaggy dog, and dragon ball sushi rolls that I had the pleasure of tasting recently. The salmon roll, in particular, was simply sublime. The freshness of the salmon was evident in every bite, and the taste was nothing short of a culinary revelation. It was like a symphony of flavors bursting in my mouth. The shaggy dog roll was also a delightful surprise. The combination of flavors was perfectly balanced, and it left me feeling completely satisfied. The texture of the roll was just right - not too chewy, not too soft. It was just perfect. And then there was the dragon ball roll. This roll was the highlight of my sushi experience. It was pure bliss - every bite was heavenly. It was like a little ball of sushi magic that transported me to another world. Even my little one couldnt get enough of it. I eat a lot of Sushi and I swear this menu must be available online to be purchased by any restaurant. Anyway, if I had not been with a client, I would have sent my entire order back. I ordered the Maki B lunch Combo and the only thing that tasted good was the Hot & Sour soup. The Spicy tuna roll smelt and tasted spoiled, and the Chef offerings was one of the lowest grade sushi trays that I have ever tasted. I knew something was wrong when it didn t look appetizing at all. I had to use soy sauce to mask the bland flavor, which everyone knows should be used minimally, so one can taste the actual fresh offerings. I feel sorry for the people in Sugarland if this is their go to Sushi place. I guess I have gotten spoiled by Aburri in Houston, but this is a hard pass.

Love Japanese cuisine. Spent inordinate time in Japan. The experience here was terrible on many fronts. First, the server was slow to take order and after 30 minutes we did not have our food. Second, they delivered my guests dinner and said mine was almost ready. Walked over to the sushi bar only to find the chef(?) had just begun preparing. It arrived after buy guest finished his meal. The broiled Unagi was small and barely warm. It was also a one of the lowest grade sushi trays I have ever had. Manager had to be called as the head person said he had not authority. No desire to address the issues, no desire to comp the meal nor entice another visit. Cultures vary. This restaurant is not run by Japanese nor is there in adherence to authentic Japanese preparation, quality. In reality, this place ranks below a poorly run Benihana! You have to love the response as once again, it is words, not actions to make up for the issue.

DISGUSTING order from uber eats. I got the Skydiver roll in my order and it was absolutely disgusting. The crab was squishy and bordering on rotten, there was a plastic-y unidentified material in the middle of some of the pieces, and the rest was crusty pieces of membrane. For the price this place charges? Absolutely not. It was a surprise for my mother on a hard hard day and now Im left embarrassed and apologizing.

The food was very good. The portion was very good. The service was NON observant to our needs. I can only review to what I experienced and ordered. There were a total of 8 at the table. 1) I could not get our servers attention when we needed her. This was in behalf of the table that wanted to order & needed refills for our drinks. No big deal but she was chatting it up with the staff and never looked our way when needed. It appeared we were her only table. She got a good tip BTW . 2) I ordered the Hibachi Combo for $26.50, Steak & Shrimp. The food was cooked spot on. I ordered my steak medium rare (Hibachi cooked) good portion for the price. The shrimp was cooked spot on. The vegetables were cooked spot on. Usually when I eat out I can often leave still feeling hungry. This was not the case. I was impressed that it was portioned generously for the price. Here is where I had a HUGE problem. The steak & shrimp was floating in vegetable water which ruined the Hibachi (grilled & seared meat & shrimp) All steak, shrimp, and vegetables were segregated on the plate but everything was mixed with the juice from vegetable water. I can only assume that the vegetables were boiled and not drained properly because the plate was deep in water. It defeated the Hibachi. It was more like soup-ish Was it good, yes. All the water on the plate cooled the food down to the point of being cold & tepid. Would I eat there again? Yes I would, but now knowing what I experienced I would either bring this up before ordering or try something else. Again, this is my experience with the Hibachi Combo.

When we first arrived we were greeted and let know there was a 20 min wait for a table of 2 which was fine but then the host decided to seat 2 other familys of 2 before us that had just stepped in. As I asked why we were not seated in the place they satthe other couple he walked away and said we dont seat people here. One I find this terrible customer service idk if he didnt think my money was as good as the other family but im disappointed highly. Great sushi, sashimi, and nigiri! The Maki D is the best lunch! The miso soup is great. They have wifi here and comfortable booths. Lunch time here is good with fast service and a clean environment. The restroom is also kept clean. I find that the fish here is always fresh and never has that fishy taste or fishy smell. The jalapeno roll is the go-to roll in my opinion based on flavor and satisfaction!

Hot and sour soup was amazing! It had the perfect amount of flavors for me, most of time I find this soup to be really unsalted and watery at other shops. We came here hoping to find a go-to Hibachi place in our new hometown. We were disappointed. They have hibachi but its subpar. The service was quick - so quick we had apps, mains, and desserts at the table all at once. Everything got cold quickly. The food was bland. Decent pricing. Parking: Its in a shopping center, so ample free parking right out front.

First time here. Brought family for Fathers Day. I had hibachi steak. Delicious. Seasoned and cooked just right. Edamame, dumplings, and Sushi Combo Plates were all wonderful. Generous portions. Service was outstanding. Nice atmosphere, but its a popular spot, so it was getting crowded when we left about 6:3O p.m. Will definitely eat here again.

This spot is always consistent, one reason why we like it. Its never overly crowded and the restaurant is always clean. The food is tasty and on point with their presentation. We tried a couple new Rolls during this visit and they were excellent. The only issue was that I think we may have over ordered...LOL! I had to finish everything off which wasnt easy considering the size of the Rolls. Next time, Im sticking to one Roll! Anyways, if youre in the mood for Sushi and in the Sugar Land area Id definitely check this place out

A pretty decent Japanese sushi restaurant! Went there this afternoon with friends and family for lunch today. A wide selection of dishes to choose from.
