We recently had an event in Houston Sugarland and reserved 23 rooms for our family and friends from August 9th-11th and a few that were checked in 3-4 days earlier. Our stay was perfect, largely due to the impeccable customer service of Ms Davis at front desk. She was extremely professional and friendly. She made checking in and out a breeze.Greeted everyone with a smile and by the time we left she had memorized a lot of our names. This kind of customer service is extremely rare today.Hotel was clean, rooms were also very clean and breakfast was satisfactory.Ms Davis was amazing not only with us but also everyone else staying there. We will definitely come back largely due to Ms Davis making our stay so stress free.

They have rooms with mold and it gave my family terrible headaches and bloody noses while sleeping in them. We felt a lot better when we left the room. The management needs to be more flexible and allow people to change rooms when this happens instead of of penny wise, pound foolish. This is a health hazard and a hotel liability.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! I made an mistake and booked a room with 2 queens at this place. During checking in, I was told that my room got switched to a king bed and I would be refunded partially for the difference in 10 days. I have called the hotel 3 times for the promised refund and the front desk kept saying that they have issued it and I should wait another 10 days. It has been 1 month and I still have not received any refund. Worst experience ever! Room was also very dirty. Stay away from this scammer.

My last name is Jamali and my family and I resided in Room 805 and 714, and our experience is horrible. For starters, we had lost access to running water for lengthy periods of time, and when we went downstairs for compensation they said they could not compensate us whatsoever (August 13th, 2024). Secondly, we had a friend in another room, or should I say rooms, that was forced to switch three times due to the water quality which was very thick and white, and when she switched, it happened again, and it was only until her third room where the problem was fixed. Lastly, when you re checking out, as you approach the checkout time they crank the water heat to maximum in the sink to the point where smoke was coming from the sink, and the shower just stops working. Horrible hotel, horrible experience, would not stay again and would not recommend it either.

Stayed here for a wedding and they literally were TERRIBLE!!! We did not have water for a major portion of one day, and we were not informed of this when we booked. When we asked for some sort of reimbursement for this we were simply denied everything. We were a big wedding party that was giving them a lot a business you would think they would do best to accommodate us but no. Not only that but water in some of the rooms was WHITE it was literally milky. Service was terrible, staff was not friendly. I will never stay here again.

SCAM ALERT!!! Save yourself the hassle and do NOT make a reservation at Hyatt Place Sugarland! I made a reservation here for July 4th weekend and it was fully confirmed. However, when I arrived at the hotel to check in, I was told by the front desk staff that they cant find my reservation in their system. This was only because I received a good deal online. I waited for hours in the lobby and even contacted the agency I had booked through. They mentioned several times that the reservation is confirmed, talked to the staff, and even provided the hotel the confirmation number (251204913) that should pull up the reservation in their system and it worked. However, the front desk staff kept lying that they cant find the reservation. Basically, they sold my room to someone else for a higher price before I arrived. I even heard JESSICA from the front desk call her boss and she said Yeah keep telling them that you cant find their reservation. I wont give them a room. THIS HOTEL IS FULL OF CROOKS! I ended up making a reservation at a nearby hotel through the same agency and had a quick and seamless check-in experience at the new hotel. RUN!

The Hyatt in Sugar Land has the friendliest, most accommodating staff I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was not up to par. The lake with the bridge is certainly a beautiful feature, and the walk to nearby amenities like Whole Foods was pleasant, but these were some of the few highlights. The staff were not very personable; the check-in process was smooth, but there was a noticeable lack of warmth. At check-out, the interaction felt particularly cold, with no How was your stay? or even a simple Thank you. The room looked nice, but I had some issues. The air circulation wasnt great, and the noise from the room above was constant and disruptive. I had an early start for business and found the noise to be a significant problem. On the last night, there was a loud party downstairs until about 11 PM. The hotel definitely needs better sound insulation. Additionally, I found a loose tile in the bathroom that I kept stepping on, and I returned home with several strange bug bites, which raised concerns about possible bed bugs or mosquitoes in the room. One notable disappointment was the lack of hot water available for tea in the lobby, which is a standard amenity at other locations. Lastly, I noticed an additional $45 charge on my bill, which I have no clue what it s for. I didnt use any additional services that would justify this charge. If that clears up, Ill update this review. Overall, my stay was not as pleasant as I had hoped. The hotel has potential, but it needs to address these issues to provide a better experience for its guests. Walkability: There are tons of restaurants within walking distance, but they close early. Noteworthy details: Bridge over lake

Stayed a for a few days, nice hotel PERFECT location, surrounded near everything. Beautiful views, walking trail, seating areas thru out the area. Saw a momma duck with her ducklings, yummy break fast, the Lady with the black straight hair, she wears glasses, that works the break fast area, was really, really nice & kept everything clean & filled, the beautiful lady from Cuba was also very friendly and we conversed also. Customer Service: 5 , EVERYONE that we encountered at the front desk was absolutely THEE entire best! Morning & evening shift. Our entire stay, they were absolutely wonderful. I forgot their names, but those 504 ladies were it! Ya heard me! Rooms: A bit dated, but for the price, it got the job done. Carpet in EVERY hotel needs to be RIPPED COMPLETELY OUT & put some cheap floors down, All carpet stinks, hold odors & all kinds of yuckyness from outside in it. Finally: We recommend this hotel & we definitely will be back to really enjoy the hotel and the scenery around it. Rooms: The room was a standard size room, the furniture a bit dated, however, we slept like logs. Lol Nearby activities: Everything that you can imagine are near by. Not walking distance unless you get down like that, but restaurants galore, shopping, desserts, Whole Foods, a park like area, biking, fishing, boating, walking trails, more activities near Marriott, you will not be disappointed. Safety: Felt pretty safe, we didnt have any concerns Walkability: 3o mins or more Food and drinks: A variety of restaurants nearby

The worst Hyatt hotel I ever stayed. I travel for work at least 75% time of the year. I stay most in Hyatt and IHG hotels. So far, this is the worst experience. Front desk welcomed me with a cold face, no smile or any happy gesture. Seems like they dont welcome me at the beginning already. Room is outdated. Oversize bathroom with broken toilet making a lot of noise when refill water. Insulation is not great. I can hear noises from hallway. The carpet floor seems never been cleaned. I stepped on the chewed gum couple times. DISGUSTING. The hotel is 9 floors with at least 200 rooms, and ONLY ONE MICROWAVE. Yes, only one mini microwave at the lobby for the whole hotel customers. I paid the room with premium view. Guess what they gave me. A window where I only see the trees. All the trees blocked the view, and they still charge for premium view. Location is good. Close to Sugar Land Methodist. NO, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL Rooms: Room is outdated. Toilet makes noise whenever using.

Very disappointed, do not stay in room 220 We booked and pre-paid for a Lakeview King suite a few weeks prior. We specifically chose the nicer room & rate because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary weekend with a small staycation. Upon arrival the front desk asked if we had just booked even though we had already paid weeks ago. The woman at the front had an attitude from the start. They told us they didnt have our room type available as they were fully booked and they offered a different type of king room, which we had no choice but to accept at this point. We had to ask about adjusting our rate since we had pre-paid. They werent able to do it that night and we had to go back in the morning to get our rate adjusted. Despite that, the experience would have been tolerable (we understand things happen), but the bed in the room was right over a door that the staff must have been using occasionally all night and consistently all morning. We heard and felt a slamming door through the night and every few minutes in the morning starting at 6am. This made it impossible to sleep in and enjoy the mornings. We recorded it on our second morning and it was more than loud enough for the phones microphone to pick up. When we mentioned this after the first night, the staff acted like they had no idea what could be causing it as housekeeping didnt start arriving until 8am. There was no effort to investigate further and we were met with a single Im sorry about that. (Which was genuinely empathetic to her credit.) However, no attempts to resolve this issue were made. The design of the hotel was definitely botched and this room at least should be redesigned. I hope this helps someone avoid the same problems we dealt with all night and morning.

Becoming extremely frustrated with the staff at this hotel. Recently stayed for a business trip, the hotel charged the wrong card at check in and no one knew how to correct the mistake. Manager claimed to have fixed it and the charge was supposed to drop from the incorrect card. After a week, the charge decreased but did not drop. After another day all charges were gone, but I looked at my statement again and the charge has returned to the incorrect card. I ve tried calling and I am told only the manager can correct the error but the manager will not be in for a few days. This issue should have been a simple fix and I am now on week two of a large hold on my account that should have never been there in the first place.

I never experienced this with other Hyatt locations. Horrendous customer service. I highly would NOT recommend this to anyone. These people need to go back to the basics and learn hospitality and respect .

The bathroom shower head is old and was leaking. The shower also had a sewage smell coming from the drain and the bathroom was just overall dingy and run down. I noticed that there were ants coming out from behind my headboard and were on my bedside table. When I called down to the front desk they immediately switched my room which is great but there was no apology or any type of customer service. It felt more like I was an inconvenience for not wanting to sleep with ants in my bed.

This has been home for me while I work in sugarland. Nestled on the shore of an artificial lake, you should ask for a room with a view. The hotel staff is very polite and kind. You can also ask for two bottles of water. Everyone, from the maintenance guys here to the manager. Theres a good vibe to this place. A suggestion for the Hyatt management is that the keys fail if kept close to a phone. Lets also give customers an RFID safe pouch to keep the keys. The breakfast is good but kind of the same forever. But still I see this place full with various business visitors, school students in an excursion, military personnel, and patients. This place has a conference hall that has also hosted Indian weddings. With ample parking by the lake, you can avoid parking if you park near the back door. Thanks me later. The back door doesnt work with a card this the management keeps it unlocked till like 11 in the night.

House keeping stole from us. Room 405 Everything started good at check in Friday night (oct 27th). We went out of the hotel (Oct 28th) Saturday morning, not too long before they came to clean the room. Gone for a few hours, came back. Expecting all of our things to still be there. Our things were tucked away in a corner away from the door. No sign of anything being trash unless it was in the trash can. Just enjoying our stay. We didn t realize until the following morning packing up our things that a limited addition shoe box was gone missing. We searched everywhere in hopes to find it. Went down to speak with the front desk/manager. Seemed as if they cared, they checked who cleaned the room that day. We waited for about 10 minutes for an answer. Whoever it was, she told them that she discarded the box. Why were our things being touched in the first place while we were clearly still staying there? Even if we were checked out you would call the customer letting them know something was left behind. You re suppose to be able to trust that staying at a hotel they won t go through your things. Or just assume something is trash that had no sign of being so. Just come in to change towels, make the bed, remove trash from the trash can. It s a different story here. I hope whoever the cleaner was that day gets what she deserves. We will never be going back here. Safety: House keeping will steal your things. Walkability: Has a nice lake that you can walk around and enjoy the view Food and drinks: Plenty of food choices at every turn outside of the hotel. Hotel breakfast was very sparse.

Paid a premium for a room with a view of the lake but it was difficult to see the lake because of how dirty the windows are. When I showed pictures to the front desk staff the response was simply that guests tell them this all the time. When I asked to be refunded the the amount I paid for the premium view for our 3 night stay I was told they could not/would not refund the money. Rooms: Nothing more to say

Of all the Hyatts I have stayed in which I have stayed in many being world of Hyatt member this without doubt was my worst. Air conditioners not working. I checked in at 5 o clock I set the thermostat down to 68 and then went to dinner. I was gone a few hours. I came back and the room is still hot. Call down to the front desk to let him know that I think my air conditioner is broken. He said he knew but unfortunately there s nothing he could do. He said I can move you to a different room, but most likely that room is going to be hot as well. I was given the option to check out to go to a different hotel at 8 o clock at night. No sign on the front door in the and no fan.

Needs an update, the hallways were ridiculously hot and the a/c in the room only made it humid/damp and not comfortable. This was an upgraded room, too. And scary elevators! They made terrible clunking noises that made you afraid to get in them but being on the 9th floor, climbing the stairs in the heatwave was not an option. Thankfully we survived. Great location, decent breakfast.

The room smelled like a nursing home when we walked in, we thought maybe it was the cleaning product they used. After returning back from dinner, it smells like urine! the a/c vents were in a horrible place, they are by the door and the bed is on the other side of the wall w/NO other vents! How fun was that? I tried to call the desk but gave up when I didnt get an answer and we were already too tired to fight that battle. The towels are about the quality of a low budget hotel. The front desk attendant was super nice the next morning when I talked to her, but unfortunately could not do anything about it at that point. Hopefully the next guest will not encounter the same issues. The hotel is in a great location, probably will not return. Rooms: The doors need to be adjusted, scraps the bathroom floor and drags the rug. The main door was hard to close, it drags. Overalll, it was too many things wrong to overlook. Nearby activities: A variety of restaurants nearby.

Hotel upon entering looks beautiful but once you exit the elevator you recognize you arent in Kansas anymore. No air conditioning in the hallways, but our room was cool which was amazing. The bathroom walls had so much water damage and previous repair work done that they looked like they were made of paper. Once we used the tub/shower we recognized that water was definitely coming from the wall and floor stayed flooded.

I booked my room for last weekend as a Hyatt member. As a member, I was able to get the members advance purchase rates so I paid for my rooms outright at time of booking. When I arrived on the 16th. The guy at the desk did not greet me but instead just asked for the name on my reservation. He saw my reservation and said I needed to pay the deposit of $30.00 ($15/night). I inserted my card and received an approval. After this the guy is I needed to insert my card again and this time the total read $389. I asked him why the increase? He got rude with me and just said I needed to pay the $389. He then said the 389$ was for the deposit and made no sense, but was very short with me. He did not ask another desk person or MOD for assistance so I left and booked with another competitor. Then Hyatt still charged me 179$. I have already booked my next stay at an Omni property! Noteworthy details: Their front desk staff has questionable practices. Watch out.
