Now my neighborhood is going to pass and has been for years. We live in the Reserve at Glen Laurel do not move in here what ever you do. The HOA here dose not enforce people to keep their properties up at all. I fell this morning as a result of a homeowner who rents his property out dose not make the renters maintain their yard. They have hardly any grass in the yard their for when it rains the side walks are covered in mud. People dont park in their driveways. Dont maintain their yards. The sidewalks are all cracking and very unlevle. No one is held accounts for anything in this subdivision. Its really hard on the ones like us that actually take pride and care about our home. Its a shame no one cares. This will give you an idea of what Im saying.

This is the best place to live. I had a sewer issue. The plumber determined that it was close to junction. City workers showed up within two hours after I informed them by email. After using camera and water jet, the supervisor called for emergency excavation at 4pm. Within an hour, the crew was here. It is almost 11pm, they are finishing up. I solute Public Works of Sugar Land. I consider this as the best Christmas gift. Thank you Robert, Scott, Jamie and rest of the crew.

The City of Sugar Land has hit its all time low. They had a Drag Show at the Smart Financial this past week. I can not believe it. I am so disappointed in them. The city has been steadily going down hill for a while now. Even some of the people working for the city say so. I guess everything goes here now as well like in Houston.

One of the best places in Sugar Land to visit. It is Sugar Land Downtown. This is the main square with beautifuly arranged surroundings. Selfie statue sometimes people call contraversial, but it is unique and very beautiful statue. You can find a lot of restaurants with good food around, and very famous First Colony Mall, a very nice shopping mall. City Hall is new. Architecture is like the rest of this square. Modern, with the touch of classical and traditional American style.

The City of Sugar Land is one of the best places to live, play, and work. As a young couple, my fiancee and I are so excited to live here. With such close proximity to downtown Houston, it is a great and safe place to live. Very fun, trendy events happening all the time. Great restaurants and parks. Very safe place.

After I waited 5 business days to reply to a email, After waiting for appointment because they answered the phone after 19 attempts, there is 8 employees sitting at their desk, only 2 actually working( the others were joking and laughing loudly) . The 20 minutes I was in the office, the phone rang 14 different times and they answered one. Shame.

We are proud to be in sugar Land. But the city customer service is horrible in permits. The city inspectors are extremely good. But the permit department employees are very rude and they take ages to even process a single payment and they do not have any estimated time for any work. They make us to wait for unlimited amount of time. They are sooo horrible. I wish I would have some one to complain about. Literally they are taking ages.

Went to the recent City of Sugar Land open house and really enjoyed it. City vehicles were parked in front of the impressive city hall building. My favorite was the S.W.A.T. vehicle. Officer Clarite, pictured with his back to us, told me it was used last year during the heavy floods of Hurricane Harvey. The new mobile command unit was very functional. Any city department can use it to coordinate operations. Inside, city departments had tables filled with information, freebies and staff eager to share what they do. If not for the 3-1-1 table, I wouldnt have known how to get free pick up of old cans of paint. Also saw plans for a temporary runway at the regional airport and met my councilmember for the first time. It was time well-spent!

Gorgeous facade, and interesting architecture. Interesting how it s settled right in the middle of a commercial/retail zone. The AstroTurf outside is a little off-putting at first, but it s brightly colored and accents the space well once you re accustomed to it. City Hall itself is grand but sparse; deliberately monolithic but in imposing. If you re in the area, it s not a bad place to hang out/see for a bit.
