I heard about this place through a FB group and we were craving Indo-Chinese. Came here on a Sat night and were greeted and seated immediately. We ordered Chilli chicken gravy, Paneer 88, fried rice and schezwan noodles. The only item that tasted good was the chicken. All other items were bland. The quantity is not great either. For those prices, you d expect some steamed rice and a tray filled with food. Service was good. Unfortunately, will not return. There are other places in the city that offer better tasting food dishes more quantity.

Good atmosphere and service- waiters and waitresses are kind However, the food has changed! It doesn t have the flavor and spice that it used to. Even after asking for spice, it turned out to be bland. It was disappointing- maybe it was an off day for them (on a Saturday night?). Hope it returns back to normal! Give the customers some spice

Only giving one star because I have to. We ordered the chicken lollipops, priced at $13.95, expecting 8-10 pieces. What did we get? Four tiny, burnt excuses for chicken. $14 for 4 pieces? That s highway robbery! The owner came out and gave us some BS about them being jumbo-sized and blaming COVID for the price hike. Seriously? Inflation is tough, but this is pure greed! And then he had the nerve to lie, saying he d seen us here multiple times when we ve only been twice, the last time being 5 years ago. I could make a profit selling 8-10 drummettes for $14 or 4 for $7. When I got up to go to the washroom, he was sitting at the bar and gave me a dirty look. Overpriced, terrible customer service, and dishonest. Never coming back here again!

It was the best place few years ago. After they moving to new location I am not sure what happened. Service is pretty pathetic and food is really really over priced for the quality. We tried takeout also and it was hit and miss!! Most recent experience . For my kids birthday party we had an order and by the time it was committed to be ready I was told the chef is stuck in rain so ETA 10 mins and after 30 mins to prepare food! I had bunch of hungry teenagers waiting for food so we had to cancel with them. It is sad to see how fast best in town can get so bad!!

I took my family out for dinner at Alings for the first time. Looking at the wait time, I honestly thought the food will be great. It was not. Extremely disappointed with the food. 1. The chicken was tough, had a stale taste and had no flavor 2. Hakka noodles was over boiled and it tasted nothing like noodles 3. Fish had no flavor 4. None of the meat had any flavor. Honestly for that price, I ve eaten at much better places in Houston. The waiters are courteous and polite. Given the bad quality of food. I will never go again.

Had been wanting to try Alings for a while so went with a large group for dinner. We were seated almost immediately but we weren t given enough menus or silverware at first. We ordered chili chicken(with gravy), honey chili chicken, Hakka noodles with chicken, crispy beef, sizzling beef platter, pepper steak, and chili shrimp. The chili chicken and crispy beef were good but everything else was just okay. The honey chili chicken lacked flavor and all the beef items were high in salt/msg. I was surprised that the dishes didn t already come with rice considering they were already about $20 each. They have a 20% service charge/gratuity for groups. The interior and exterior of the restaurant is nice, but overall this was a one and done experience.

We had meant to try Alings for a while now, and date night seemed perfect. We had dinner. . After a brief time at our table which allowed us to review the menu, our waiter arrived to begin service. We ordered drinks, then I had some questions for the waiter. . I had checked the online menu and preliminarily decided on Szechuan noodles. I noted that nearly all the Szechuan dishes were OUT. Why? It was explained that they couldnt get the sauce. Hmmm, they dont make the sauce? Hmmm. . Anyways, I ordered the chili fries as an app and Chinese chow main as my meal. The waiter described the dish as the flat, which I thought would pair well with spicy fries. My lady ordered Shrimp 88. . The fries arrived first, of course. They were really delicious! Also, pretty hot. I loved them. . Our mains arrived, and goodness the portions were huge. I ate maybe 1/5, and she ate perhaps 1/3. My dish was indeed pretty bland. Hers was good. We took home a shopping bag of leftovers. . It was a nice experience. Next time well split an entree.

Our favorite indo chinese place. Service is always great. Just a heads up they charge 20% gratuity for parties above 5 which in my opinion is a bit high. We ordered hot and sour soup, sweet corn (which is a bit too sweet), chilli wings (tasted amazing, crispy and full of flavor and are huge), chilli beef (very tender beef pieces), chicken schezwan fried rice and kids sweet and sour chicken with noodles. Portion sizes are huge and justify the price. Soup literally comes in whilst placing the order, its that fast :) My only suggestion to the management would be to wait a few mins to bring out the main course after bringing in the appetizer. We had just started on the wings when the main course came in. They have a lovely patio but iv never seen people dining out there. Not sure if they dont open it or people just prefer to dine inside. Also have a bar with alot of varieties. Their smoothies and slushies taste awesome but are pricey. Kid-friendliness: Good options on kids menu

Best Indo Chinese Food! In the Country, I was only in Us for 8 months and I was craving Indian Chinese food, and Aling really satisfied those cravings. Their best seller chili chicken was truly great. Chicken schezwan noodles portion was so large that the 2 of us couldn t even finish 25% of it. They also offered us complimentary dessert for our sons birthday. The best was their service - while the order taker Ms. Shanza was still besides us reviewing our order, the other server already came in with the soup the system they use doesn t waits for KOT to reach the kitchen but automatically places the order and chef starts preparing it right away. Ample parking lot, reasonably priced menu and all of the above steals them a 5 star rating from my end.

Firstly, I would like to thank all the servers. They were very respectful, very kind and attentive throughout the time we were in the restaurant. The food delivery was on time. We waited less than 10 minutes after we ordered our food and the food was very hot so it was tasting amazing. Loved every food, the Gobi Manchurian was delicious, french fries were hot. Chicken lollipops were ok to taste not that great. Sz French fries tasted good. Veg tikki fritters were just too good. They have kids menu and trust me the kids menu food is really big portion, my two kids couldn t finish it. It s really big so their quantity is very good and of course the quality is good too. Drinks ,the ice cream everything was amazing we loved everything about the restaurant. Ambience is so good. The parking is available. They have a very huge parking lot, surely gonna come back again. I have never shared anything on any site before. So you know my sincerity. First of all ask for Amy. She is an old school waitress and one of the best I have found. She is exceptional. I dont pay complements very often. That is because most people dont take care if customers very good. Most waiters think the tip is automatic. She worked for her tip. We were a party of 4 that ordered 2 appetizers and an entree each. The appetizers were okay but all of found the entrees to be very low quality. The paneer 88 had very bad paneer - dry, hard, difficult to chew and very minimal flavor in the sauce. It was left uneaten after a few bites. the rest of us ordered hakka noodles since its our favorite Indo Chinese order but they were were all lacking in flavor and seasoning. There was no soy sauce even! the noodles were also the kind that get mushy and break easily, which are not what authentic hakka noodles call for. a couple of us refused to eat the noodles as well. we paid the expensive $110 bill because we didnt want to be rude but honestly I never want to come back and I wouldnt recommend anyone else in search of Indo Chinese much to expect much from this place. There are other regular Indian restaurants with a smaller Indo Chinese section that do much better than this place.

Had another fabulous meal here today. Their vegetarian dishes are amazing, their paneer dishes, Chinese style are delicious. The servers are always polite and respectful. The food arrives very quickly after it is ordered. Prices are very reasonable. Our thanks to the Owners for accepting our suggestion to offer paneer chunks added to the Vegetarian Fried Rice and the Vegetarian Hakka Noodles.
