We had a very pleasant surprise coming here. The place is nice and clean, and looks festive. The staff was welcoming and let us sit anywhere wed like. They were also attentive. I had some sort of combination platter, and they definitely do seafood right. The fried fish, shrimps and calamari were super tender. My better half even asked if they were fully cooked, and of course they were, because I actually double checked just to be sure. The fried rice that accompanied the seafood was also very tasty. The best part is the price. If you are looking for fried seafood, you can easily pay double or more elsewhere. Would I recommend this place? Heck yeah! Id come back again even though this place is more than an hour away for me.

Ordered a soup that was barely warm, (felt cold) i thought soups was supposed to be hot, on top of that, asked for a side of Avocado that apperently took like 15 mins to get, had to return the avocado cause it looked like it was picked up from the floor. Fabulous food! Huge portions. My hubby and I shared the 1/2 lb calamari appie then split the Mambo Combo. Delicious fried fish, huge shrimp, stuffed crab (the best Ive ever had), stuffed shrimp and OMG, the shrimp fried rice! Fun, relaxed atmosphere, very casual. Lots of families. Hi there, we are from Harlingen but everytime we are in McAllen we ALWAYS stop by at Mambos. They have some of the best seafood and the shrimp fried rice is to DIE for! Every visit it is the same. A warm welcoming atmosphere, with many awesome servers sporting a big smile, the service is always amazing. I would like to make a special shout out to a server by the name of Adri, she was very sweet and kind to us, offered refills, and checked up on us periodically throughout our meal. She offered us take out boxes and refills to go. If I could I would give her 10 stars, but Google only allows 5. If anyone goes to Mambos Seafood, ask for Adri and you wont be disappointed! Food was delicious, I ve gone to a lot of restaurants and gotten fried rice. Flavor on their fried rice Amazing!!! The reason I didn t give them a five star was I got special rice, which it comes with meat, three kinds of meat. Shrimp, beef, chicken unfortunately I got little to no meat on my special rice. I even got the large plate and still like that little to none meat.

Our sever Hailey was super awesome party of 20 and did an outstanding job! Literally the bomb! Best sever Ive had at restaurants in a while! Im not home alot cause of work so when Im home and and go out to eat with family I always take time to appreciate great service
