2nd date with lady friend and she picked this place. She ordered the Avocado Toast, and I ordered Two Eggs Breakfast Deluxe. Eggs are cooked to ordered she selected poached and ordered over easy. The meals were hot and properly cooked, running yolks! First time there, good service and atmosphere. Good for the weekend breakfast or brunch to enjoy family & friends.

If I could give service 1000 0 s for service today I would. We waited almost 40 minutes for food asked for plastic wear the manager refused to give it to us we been here 4 times in the last month my daughter in law and grandkids love this place visiting from KY. It was so embarrassing that waitress coming back saying the manager yelling at her not to bring us plasticware. I attempted to eat my cold food by going to the front asking guest services to have the manager come speak with me and give me plasticware even the guest services said she s to busy in the kitchen she can t come. I will be contacting corporate I sit here all this time from waiting for a seat to food and treated this way. The waitress was very professional Clarissa she need to be a manager she apologized 20 plus times. I NEVER ever been to an eatery and denied plasticware and a person from the management staff coming to speak with me. Very Poor management whoever the manager is need to be retrained asap and handled. My daughter in law is pregnant and my grandkids had to eat after getting the plasticware Clarissa had to basically take them because she would not give them to her. My cold food untouched been here almost 1 1/2. It s almost noon still no manager. The sad part the waitress said the manger s are ignoring her to take my meal and discount for the inconvenience we don t want to leave with paying but we were not able to complete the food. I m overhearing other people complaining. We not looking for anything free we been paying towards her paycheck the manager company 3 times all we want is to be treated fairly it s discrimination disrespectful and I m not done. Make sure you get front and back of ticket 160550432 order 115-1. Not only poor service but the bugs out in open dead by the table made a note on the receipt front and back!! You need to exterminate.

This place has gone down hill. Long wait time for food, cold food, crumbly pancakes ( not soft or fluffy), burnt bacon, bland unseasoned food. The acoustics in there are atrociously loud. Service was decent. Huge disappointment.

First time dining here and I had a pretty good experience! My server was very efficient and polite! The food was okay, I had scrambled eggs with the chicken steak; it lacked flavor but it was manageable! I d go back again and try something different. Great atmosphere and located in my favorite place to be, Town Square!

Ordered breakfast via Uber Eats and it was a disaster. Missing 2 cafe marchiatos, no salt, no pepper, no utensils, no non-dairy creamers, no napkins & no syrup for the French toast. All of these items were requested in specific quantities. We had no choice but to eat with our hands. It s common sense that when one orders take out or delivery that the restaurant should provide utensils & condiments. I will NEVER eat there again!!!!!!

I have always heard about this place, and I finally got to go to it. The food is great. Shut up and take my money. The fried banana peppers were so good. The brisket scramble eggs had so much flavor. Also, the service from beginning to end was amazing. Bring your family or eat alone. This is a great place to dine at.

Visited this place for breakfast. It was a very disappointing experience. We were quite hungry when we visited and went only because of the reviews. First we got an order with missing items and sent it back, when the order arrived the second time it had fungus. The salad had an unwashed fungi infected tomato, which is absolutely unacceptable. The manager was nice enough to take the order back and not charge us for it. She also apologized and told the chefs in the kitchen about it. But it doesnt change the fact that we were served dirty food, if theyre serving this kind of food I wouldnt be able to eat any other dish served here.

Not worth the spend. The produce stored in their inventory is not fresh. I tried one of their salads and had to request replacement twice due to missing items then to the last time they had tomato covered in fungus on the top. Please check your food before consuming. Food

We looked for a place to study and eat privately and they were more than gracious with accommodating us. The food was great and the service was better. They would keep an eye on us and noticed if we were studying or not before asking if we needed anything. Around 9 in the morning, it wasn t crowded or busy, and they allowed us to eat and study in peace, without rushing us. We are very grateful for the food and staff!

We were seated and quickly approached by our waitress Skylar. She gave us impeccable service with a wonderful attitude. She was very sweet and it was a pleasant experience service wise. The Toasted Yolk is a place where you can come to eat, fellowship, have a small get together, or just come with you and your laptop and/or a book. It s a cafe much like Starbucks but with MUCH better food. Will be returning! Parking: I would park in the free parking garage when coming here. Outside parking is very limited.

The atmosphere was bright and there was enough room while we were seated at the tables. The negatives. Parking in not fun here. We ended up parking around the corner and it was about 8 am, so not the busy time in the area. There was a parking garage I think we could have used but there was a delivery truck blocking access. The food was okay. I got an omelette with hash browns with an add on of biscuits and gravy. It was okay. Not very flavorful but not horrible. It was just food. We also got an appetizer that we both felt was okay. The bacon tasted a little off to me. It was okay but I think I will try other places for breakfast in the future.

They have a variety of mimosa choices like pineapple, strawberry orange, apple, etc. My boyfriend and I split the cowboy special, which is biscuits topped with scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, ham, and bacon. It was plenty to share! The maple bacon donuts were hot, fresh, and had just the slightest kick of spiciness. The menu has something to offer everyone! Parking: Parking is on the street metered parking. They take coins or credit cards, but we could not get the credit card option to work, so we had to scrounge for coins.

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was really good and flavorful, and the mimosas are pretty strong. My only complaint is that when I first came in, I spoke to the black hostess about the wait time and she let me know that I could place myself on the waitlist. The good thing is that the table became ready very quickly for a table of six, but she did not show me where the table was. She just waved their hand in the direction where my family was, and said the table is somewhere over there. I thought that was very rude and kind of disappointing. Nevertheless, the service from everyone else was very inviting. Considering that this was my first time at toasted yolk, I will come back for the food, but I might not come back to this specific location.

I dined here with my grandson and we had about a 1/2 hour wait to be seated. Our table across from the bar had a lot of traffic and was definitely not the best seat in the house. We placed our drink and food order at the same time to save a little time. The cutlery on the table consisted of a knife and fork and I ordered coffee and creamer. I had to wait for our waitress to come back to ask for a spoon for my coffee. My grandson liked his French toast and my Alaskan Arnold was mediocre at best. The poached egg was overcooked and the hash browns were mushy almost like oatmeal. Overpriced, slow service and overcooked food means this location is not on my list to visit again.

This is an updated review after visiting The Toasted Yolk today. The classic eggs benedict (The Arnold) was overcooked and underwhelming. The yolk should be runny, but these egg yolks were hard. There was very little Canadian Bacon. And, the prices have gone up since my last visit. It was just not what should be expected from The Toasted Yolk. The service was okay, but we had to ask for refills on our coffee.

I expected better, first time ever eating here. For three people eating it was around 60, what we got was west coast Arnold, breakfast burrito, and two egg breakfast. For the west coast Arnold, they had to take it back 3 times because none of the eggs were poached they were all hard boiled eggs and for this place to be known for their poached eggs you would expect them to actually get it right. As for the breakfast burrito, it was covered in Velveeta cheese and I don t know about yall but if I wanted to eat that I would go to a school and eat their lunch. Not only that it was cold which when velveeta is cold it turns hard and that isn t something I would want to eat. Especially if I am paying good money for it. And for the most simplest meal it was actually the only good thing about this place. Now to get into the service, the girl serving us was actually so nice cause she tried to get us better food but the other people working there I couldn t say they same. We were actually seated next to the doors, to the kitchen and we saw just a bunch of people standing around on their phones it THE KITCHEN. As for the atmosphere, I usually have no problem with kids but when I tell you every corner I turn there was either a kid or a baby and kids aren t quiet. So all I heard was crying children. Also when I went to the bathroom, there was this little boy who went in before me, and when I tell you there was pee everywhere, it was on the floor, toilet paper holder and the WHOLE toilet. Not only that but that little boy left the water to the sink running. I don t recommend going here unless you want to feel disappointment, disgusting , and broke. Kid-friendliness: This place had more kids then when I went to school

Made a family visit and tried several dishes including yogurt parfait, buttermilk pancakes, French toast, shrimp with grits, golden gate omelette, and grilled chicken sandwich. The yogurt parfait was made with vanilla yogurt and granola, which made it sweet and not the best I would say. The buttermilk pancakes were huge, well-made, and fluffy. The omelette had great flavor and came with either grits or hash browns and toast. The hash browns are well made. The shrimp and grits were simple, but the shrimp was perfectly cooked and had great flavor. The grilled chicken sandwich was decent, but nothing out of the ordinary. The French toast was not the best had no flavor to it. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is located in a great area. Overall would recommend the pancakes, shrimp and grits.

The meal was tasty. The grits were lacking something and tasted a bit bland even with butter added. Perhaps some bacon grease would help. The fruit seemed fresh in the cup. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Coffee was served in a large branded mug reducing the need for refills. Not a fan of the modern pop music. If the music doesn t complement the ambience, why play it?

Darryl, our server was great, however, food lacked flavor. Shrimp and Grits tasteless - I generally dont add salt to restaurant meals and this case I had to do it and it barely helped.

This is not my first experience with coming here, but this is the first time i was seated at a booth and not tended to by a server. My wife and I sat for at least 5 minutes on a non busy day with no one coming to take our drink order. There were at least 4 people at the bar area just standing having a good conversation. As we walked out we were thanked for stopping by although we received no service or food. I will not be spending my money here anytime soon.

The restaurant is located on the small side street near Sugar Land Marriott across from the Perrys. Extremely competent and friendly wait staff. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my friend ordered a breakfast burrito. Prices are about average but you would expect in Town square (slightly on the higher end compared to restaurants that are not in that kind of premium real estate space). With some hot sauce, the shrimp and grits tasted great but felt a little skimpy on the shrimps. To get four more shrimps, the price would have been over $10 so we just pushed through lol. Parking can also be a challenge if youre not familiar with the way things are set up there. Best tip is theres a parking lot immediately behind, close to the freeway.

I came for the first time on 7/23 around 10am. There wasnt a crowd and yet service was ok. The food was so good I felt I had to return. I came back with my mom and grandma and was disappointed. My food was cold. I mean so cold the butter wouldnt melt on the waffles or toast. When I said something to my waitress she just looked at me. The food taste good but was cold. Our table asked for boxes and took the meals home to reheat.

Great service from the whole team! Perfect for a quick stop for non-hotel breakfast prior to meeting a client. The cold brew was phenomenal! Better than that at Dunkin or Starbucks! The Southwestern Arnold (eggs Benedict) was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Happy I stopped in as I m tired of hotel or Starbucks breakfast all the time. Parking: Limited along street side if it s busy.

Tried to call to place an order several times, no one answered the phone especially the to-go order. Each time itll ring twice then go to voicemail. Tried to contact the host, sounds like they hit the do not disturb button. I expect better from this restaurant considering their location.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! The food is average to mediocre. The chairs are uncomfortable. The waiters dont seem to know how to do their jobs and give numerous excuses for all the mistakes. Our waiter leaned his entire upper body on our table and talked on and on about himself. But whats worse is their staff is dishonest and management is passive aggressive instead of sincere. We left the restaurant right as it was closing, our table was not in a high trafficed area, I left my wallet on our table. I realized it within 10 minutes when I called the restaurant I was told they hadnt found my wallet but would call me the next day regardless of if the walls was found. No call, and no return of my wallet. I feel confident that it was found by restaurant staff - a restaurant should not allow their staff to keep lost and found items. This place has nothing to offer Sugar Land - I hope they close soon so we can get a better option on that space.

OKAY FOOD BUT TERRIBLE SERVICE Food was pretty good seeing as it was a full house. But despite the sweet churro donuts my experience was bitter. Off the bat our server was rude (Darryl S) and seemed like he had a problem with our group especially. Our food was served by two other waiters (they were a lot nicer !) we ordered coffee as soon as we we re seated and it came while we were getting ready to leave. Darryl never came to check up on us. and when we unsurprisingly didn t leave him a tip, he cussed us out after we left and shot my brothers dirty looks. This is not a one time thing - almost all the times i have gone here we have had bad service. Please fix this

Went in pretty early and got seated fast as the place was empty. The waitress (Jennifer?) seemed pretty impatient. Ordered chicken and waffles as one of the entrees - blandest and greasiest chicken ever. Breakfast burrito was mediocre and clearly had store bought tortilla and canned queso. Not to mention the server never came back to check on her table or offer refills. We complained about the chicken and waffles being subpar and she charged us and then gave us attitude for taking it off even though we didn t eat it. Asked for the manager and she never showed up, so we ended up leaving after paying cash. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

We eat out for breakfast a few times a week. We hadnt been to Toasted Yoke in a few months so we were looking forward to a change. The decaf lattes we ordered were hot milk, the over medium eggs had very runny yokes, the pancakes disintegrated when we touched them, the kids portions were twice as large as desired. We were very disappointed with the entire experience. The cost was double what we pay at other restaurants and I didnt like any of the food. On the plus side, the place was clean with lots of places to sit. The physical atmosphere was good, but it was not welcoming. When the complaint of the coffee came up, they should have remade them properly without asking us to pay for new ones. When we spoke to the manager at the end, there were no questions on what they could have done better and very little questions on what our exact complaints were. They lost an opportunity to find out how they could improve so they dont continue to lose customers. Its unfortunate since our past experiences were much better. Im shocked that a $70 breakfast resulted in so much disappointment with undrinkable coffee (hot milk) and food that I didnt want to eat. I did eat the small fruit cup. Im rating a two because it was clean and the server tried his best.

Too many gnats, sticky floors and tables, a rude hostess, and none of the servers had trays. Our server literally balanced our plates off of her bosom and belly. We were here for Mothers Day and it was more crowded with better service/experience. The management needs to get it together and give their staff the tools and support they need.

I has poor service my last 2 visits. The food was missing ingredients as described on the menu and had ingredients that werent described on the menu. The service was horrible. I had to ask other servers for assistance. The table was not cleaned properly before we sat down. Still had crumbs and moisture rings on the table from whomever ate there before us. Even when I pointed it out and an effort was made to clean it by the host he still skipped the crumbs not checking for cleanliness. I let it go. However I didnt tipped. The next week we decided we wanted breakfast and was thinking well sit in a completely different section. We had the same server. Before he came to our table I asked the host if we could get a different server. He moved us to a different table and the server came out. I thought I was being pranked. I inquired about the avocado toast and he said do you want me to get a manager? He was giving I been to prison an this is my 2nd chance program. We left and went to PF CHANGS and had an excellent time with a server who told us he was new. He was absolutely divine! Never going back to this Toasted Yolk again. A year ago it was great. Now its horrible.
