My family of 2 adults and 2 children visited the Whiskey Cake in Missouri City, TX on a Sunday afternoon while on vacation. We had items from the brunch and kids menus. The Pulled Pork Benedict and the Lemon Blueberry French Toast were delicious and our children loved the mac n cheese. They especially loved the red trays on which their food was served. Our server was helpful, patient and so friendly. We loved our whole brunch experience and I highly recommend this restaurant!

First time and definitely wont be my last! Carl was the perfect waiter. He was helpful, friendly, and patient while taking our order and bringing out our entrees. Food was delicious and plenty !!! I forgot to take pics but Cant wait to return. Kid-friendliness: Provided high chairs for the toddlers, crayons and drawing menu. The kids loved their pancakes, eggs, and fruit.

Wonderful. Fresh. Delicious. Like for real! Ate at the one in Plano 10 years ago and can t believe we waited so long to come back. So, so good! Will be back very soon. The fried green tomatoes are unusually yummy! And the whiskey cake is to die for! Taste buds satisfied! Till next time .

I often go places with good food and service. But, Whiskey Cake takes the cake. My server, Chelsey, was excellent. Being my first time, I was trying to make up my mind on what dish I wanted. When she suggested I would not regret the Bone-im Pork Chop. It was not an understatement. It was brought out by Aaron, who confirmed that I made an excellent choice. He even came back by to see if I liked it. Then, to find out Aaron was the GM. You dont see that at many restaurants. I will be back soon and often. Oh, wait....Chelsey suggested trying the Whiskey Cake. I cant even describe the deliciousness of that wonderful piece of delicacy.

If you are a Whiskey drinker you will want to visit this place. Best selection of Whisky, and they do different pour sizes which make it easy to sample different whiskies. Prices are typically a bit cheaper than most places. Great staff!!

First time trying this place. I loved the atmosphere outside and inside. We were greeted by our wonderful server, Carl ( definitely ask for him ), the fried green tomatoes were very delicious, and served with a side of the homemade Remoulade sauce. The food was amazing and delicious, I got the tavern burger with the fresh cut fries.. Erin, the manager, stopped by and greeted us and was super friendly and so nice to me and my mom. 10/10 I would come back. Thank you to Erin and Carl for making a first and not last time experience excellent. I forgot to mention the whiskey cake.. its so good

Made reservations for a booth for a birthday dinner as their other tables are annoying uncomfortable. Still, managed to be the only people seated at a high top. Second, the food here just sounds fancy. It s just mediocre and really overpriced. Our bill was nearly $300 for 4 people. Most of which ate sandwiches. It s just meh. The reservation for the birthday was the nail in the coffin for me. I won t return.

Cool place, menu is limited, I had a burger, and it was cooked perfectly. My friend had the ribs, and they fell off the bone, and both were good. Seems like they are focusing on the drinks, and they are good, but they have a lot of appetizers, and that seems to be the focus... drink and have apps.... So, if youre heading out for a few drinks with friends and want some appetizers to go with them, this is the place for you....

Our server Lo was incredible all night! She was engaged with us, made sure we were good throughout our dining experience. The host at the front was very nice! This place is incredible! From the moment you walk in, you get sucked in to the vibe and ambiance in such an inviting way. The staff is the best I have ever had. Ever. Chelsey treated us the best we have ever been treated. She was absolutely amazing! I can t recommend her enough! And I haven t even gotten to the food yet! The crab fritters were so so delicious! The entree I got, the ribs and Mac and cheese, will haunt my dreams until I can get them again. If those options are too fancy for you, get the burger! Made to perfection! And of course the drinks you ll love whatever you decide on. But even if you don t have room for dessert, get the whiskey cake! Might be the best dessert I ve ever had. Well it was such a great time with the family that I didn t take any photos . Oops! 7 people which includes two kids enjoyed every dish that came to the table. I ll list what we had off below. Snacks: GOAT CHEESE FONDUE Ooh the goat cheese was so creamy and delicious. Devoured! BUTCHER BOARD : My husband and Dad loved it. They didn t eat the carrots lol men. I think the fried balls were hush puppies and crunchy outside and soft inside with a little of the goat cheese yummy. CHILE BBQ GLAZED DUCK WINGS: My mom and dad had. They came to the table and then were gone. So I would say a win! Mains: CHICKEN & WAFFLE : my mom had. She said the chicken was cooked well. Super tender. The texture of the waffles and flavor was good. The ship was really good. PORK RIBS: Husband and Dad had this. it was a good portion size . They said it was tender and delicious. Seasoned well because when stuff isn t my husband doesn t send it back but he will coat it with sauce. *BABY KALE & ROASTED CHICKEN: I had this. It was a beautiful presentation, it was light and flavorful. I just couldn t stop eating it. The chicken was so tender and cut perfectly that I don t even remember having to chew it (if that makes sense). I paired mine with the sourdough and goat cheese snack. I wanted some bread with it and I just loved the goat cheese lol. Our Sides: MAC & CHEESE W/ DUCK FAT-SOURDOUGH CRUMBS : Mixed reviews My 6 yo didn t like it. My sister was indifferent about it. I thought the cheese selection was light and creamy. If there was some sea salt and white pepper at minimum or add an herb cooked into the sauce it hen it would ve had a better flavor profile. FIRE-ROASTED VEGGIES My sister had this. She said that they were cooked to a great consistency and the flavor was amazing. For the kids: CRISPY SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN FINGERS: 4 yo loved. my husband tasted the chicken. He said it was tender and had a good batter. The hand cut fries were cooked perfectly . The right crisp and soft inside with not a taste or drop of oil. Loved that! The broccoli was easily eaten and it was cooked perfectly. TWO SILVER DOLLAR BURGERS: My 6 yo liked it. She would ve probably preferred me getting her a full burger instead of the smaller ones. I noted that for next time. The meat was cooked well for her . She enjoyed the broccoli as well. Freshly made lemonade was a hit with my kids and I . Others had alcoholic beverages. DESSERTS: I personally really enjoyed the whiskey from my tasting at friends birthday celebration. As a family we enjoyed the STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE. I requested it to have everything on the side. In my opinion, It was the perfect portion size for a group of 6 to enjoy. We recently visited areas in Italy which inspired my plating of the dessert. Each individual received a cube of shortcake drizzled with the macerated strawberries (im not certain what they would call the sauce.) I gave with the sliced strawberries and a dollop of the whipped cream. This was just the right end portion to our meal. Now, that whipped cream. I ve tried a few and I m typically not a fan but that whipped cream!!!!!! I could eat it out the bowl and put it on any comparable dessert item or plain fruit. It wasn t overly sweet and had the right amount of sweet flavor. it had the right thickness and airiness to it. If this was sold fresh daily. Sign me up. Service: The hostesses, our waitress Debbie and I assume the front of the house manager were very pleasant . The attended to our group well in each aspect from entry to departing. Our waitress had a great personality and her service level was wonderful. This was the first time for my entire family . Each one said that was a great choice for dinner. Vegetarian options: My sister is vegetarian but not strictly if there is not an option and she needs to have a small portion of an animal protein. I think adding two mains that are vegetarian would be great. She enjoyed the goat cheese fondue and the fire roasted veggies. She was satisfied. She said the restaurant was a great pick. Kid-friendliness: My 4 and 6 yo enjoyed themselves. It was not an environment where they couldn t be kids as they enjoyed their meal.

The occasion for my 1st visit was lunch after my granddaughters graduation. Everything was outstanding!!! I had the DOWN BY THE DOCK OF THE BAY,cocktail. It was delicious!!! Service here was horrible and slow. Only about 5 tables were filled in the entire place (I can see why) and it took our server 5 min to make an appearance, 10 min to bring water and 15 for our first drink. The manager made up for it by comping a piece of cake and then the both of them immediately ghosted us for the next 20 min. I can only assume they had some kind of animosity towards us for some unknown reason but Ill never know as I will never step foot in that building again.

Service is exceptional and thats why I give them 3 stars. I went during happy hour, and I prefer my cocktails on the sweeter side and none of the drinks on the happy hour menu are sweet. I ordered the ribs and they were edible, but not good. Mac n cheese comes with it and it was okay as well. Now for the infamous cake... it was an end piece, gross, and Im not sure when it was made but it was HELLA dry. Not sure if thats why they give you a bunch of sauce with it and a whole bowl of whip cream on the side. All in all, great service, mediocre food.

Our trip was amazing. My husband treated me to a Good Friday Lunch. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was great. Aaron came to our table and offered polite conversation and Whiskey Cake. The cake was incredible. The house made whipped cream is always an added bonus. It s gluttonous, but go for it. You can always eat a salad tomorrow. Come out and visit. Make sure you meet Aaron. He s awesome!

Great food/drinks, ambience and service! We celebrated my husband s birthday with family here and we all enjoyed it! Our server Mike was great. There was a slight delay in one of our dishes and he went above and beyond to make up for it, even had the manager (who was awesome) come by. I had ordered a chicken salad and bits of the lettuce were soggy, so I had contacted the waitress who then contacted a manager to come and converse with me about whether I want to replace or change my meal. We sorted out the dish and it was replaced and i was given a free dessert to-go, but I wouldn t say this made my experience better. I went in to have a nice lunch today (Valentine s Day). I sat at the bar and the 2 bar tenders were on their phones and never looked up. I sat for a minute, took a pic then finally asked if they were just going to stay on their phones all day or can someone take my order? They were so into their phones they never saw me walk up, move barstool, or sit down and just look at them. There was no one else at the bar and the restaurant didn t have many other guests at the time. The guy finally took my order but just wasn t friendly and had to keep checking his phone every time he walked off. As a guy from the Northeast, this was a great taste of Texas. Let me start with desert. Don t be stupid get the whisky cake. It was delicious! A big piece that may kill you but you won t have any regrets! I had the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection and a nice tender piece of meat. Appetizers were good and service was excellent.

With out a doubt would not recommend this location! The server I think her name was Genesis or something, was very incompetent and RUDE is an understatement. Completely ruined our brunch with her dismissive, arrogant attitude and condescending behavior. It s very sad and extremely disappointing that servers or people in general do not listen to comprehend, rather everyone listens to immediately respond while lacking accountability. Management should really look into the behavior of staff and better training, as it represents the company. A manager shouldn t have to comp an entire meal because of a disrespectful employee. Businesses are in business to make money. While the luke-warm meal was free, I must say the food was better at the location in the woodlands, as well as the customer service, but if all the servers here are like the one we had to unfortunately experience today, then I would NOT recommend this location! Gross!

My husband and I have been eyeing out Whiskey Cake for some time now so we decided to go. Was greeted at the front by the hostess Sofia and she was so kind and patient with us.. We ordered the salmon which was very flavorful and to top it off we had to try the whiskey cake which was to die for our server Dee was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. This was my second or third time here and I came alone just to grab lunch. I was met at the front by two young ladies who very kind and hospitable. One of them sat me within 1 minute of me walking in. Then once I was seated, it took about 10 minutes for someone to ask if I ve been helped. And unfortunately, a server did come near my table to drop off the customers food sitting next to me. But he didn t say anything to me or even look my direction. But an employee named Aaron came by and said he was grab my drink for me instead of the server. Aaron ended up getting my food order as well. He was extremely kind and apologetic for the wait time. I wasn t in a rush or anything so it didn t bother me TOO much. But he did mention how unusually busy there were for a Saturday morning. I ordered the goat cheese fondue, which was superb and the chicken and bacon melt with fries. Also really good. And Aaron offered me a whiskey cake for dessert which is GODLY So thank you to Aaron for turning what could have been an unpleasant experience to a pretty great one. Will definitely be coming back!

I got the hash and it was sweet potato and meat covered in sauce. Nothing was seasoned . The whiskey drink I had was sweet with too much syrup. The beer selection was not interesting at all???? . A friend celebrated his birthday, and we had two separate tables occupied. My family ordered our food. I followed up a couple of times with our female waitress, and she replied that they were working on it. To cut a long story short, I asked them to call the manager because my friends are done and my food has not arrived. The manager apologized and offered to give us two free whiskey cakes on our next visit, and I had my pancake and chicken to go. Of course, it was cold and flimsy when we got home, and we ended up throwing it. We discussed how our food arrived late at the table, with my order being the worst because it never came until the manager intervened. I am not recommending this restaurant at all. The service is horrible! Go to a restaurant for the value of your money. Will never return..bad, horrible service

We went for date night... everything was fantastic from the food all the way down!! We had the fried green tomatoes and candied bacon as appetizers..OMG!! They tasted amazing!! We held a large company dinner here. Didnt take photos of the food, but everything was delicious. Appetizers of duck wings, goat cheese, deviled eggs, and hummus.
