The girl at the Hurst location who buzz cuts the sides of her hair (I don t know her name), cut my hair from start to finish in 3 minutes as quickly as possible and makes half inch rings over and around my ears, and she did it again just now. 4:45pm hair cut at Hurst location by Target. Wish I could attach a picture for reference. I can stick my finger between the top of my ear and where the hair starts again above my ear. The other stylist are good. 9/01 replied to the email CustomerService@greatclips Waiting to hear back. I went to Supercuts Saturday and spent $6 more and received wonderful service. The lady really actually cared how I looked after my haircut. The girl at great clips couldn t have cared less. I drove 13 miles to Great Clips because Ive always had good experiences at other locations, but this time was terrible. The lady at the counter, whose name starts with D, was extremely rude from the moment I checked in. I told her we just wanted my sons ears trimmed, but she kept being disrespectful. My son couldnt understand her, and when I stood by him for support, she rudely told me to sit down. My son got confused and thought we were leaving. Then she suddenly said they couldnt cut his hair. Weve been cutting our sons hair at Great Clips for 5 years without any problems, but this location was horrible. The staff was rude, disrespectful, and made the whole experience awful. I wont be going back.

Why cant Great Clips get someone in the business to cut Black People hair? I dont need the fancy haircut I would like a regular haircut that is a low haircut and a Good edge up. OMG am I asking to much? I have been told over and over we dont have anyone to cut Black People hair. The lady did not have a clue about cutting short hair. She got hair all over me...my face my ears my mouth my eyes.....ridiculous! I mean, I had to pick clumps of hair off of my face! The back edge up was super uneven, the layers were not blended at all, and it was so short that all I could do was spike it up in the back. Had to go back to my regular Pro-Cuts Lady for her to try and fix it. The first picture is how it looks now, AFTER it had it re-done. The second one is what I asked for. And my hair was plenty long enough to achieve the requested style. NEVER AGAIN! BOO! HISS! Requested style: Cute short cut.

They butchered my hair. I didnt realize because my hair was still wet when she said she was done. But when I went home and blow dried it, it looked absolutely awful. I was literally in tears. No idea how Im supposed to fix this without cutting off major amounts of my hair that Ive worked so hard to grow out. Never going back to this place again, and I do not recommend anyone go here. Worst haircut of my life.

Girl with half her head shaved is terrible I have to describe her like that due to being given no name. She was very sick cutting hair with no mask to the point I was leaning away to not get coughed on. She stabbed me with the guard at least 10 times and scraped me with the trimmer to my neck so hard my neck is inflamed. Left my beard long on one side so I have to fix it myself. Also did not clean face or neck off of access hair so I m walking around with hair on my face and over eyes. this place has went down hill hard. Blonde girl in back isn t better I could hear her smacking her gum like the 70s movies that it was so loud, she was in back chair and I heard it from station 2. Didn t even acknowledge I walked in the door stayed on her phone completely shut off from helping anyone. Have been coming here for years to finally be that person and say that I will never come back.

We today to get my hair trimmed I ve been working really hard on getting my hair to grow. I went in and told the lady I wanted an inch or two off and that s and explained ive been trying to get it to grow more. She starts cutting and when she was done it was just past my shoulders she took way more than two inches off. I said that was 2 inches she said well I went to the shortest point to get it even Ok that s not what I ask her to do. Since when does just a few inches off mean ignore what I said and do what ever you want. I ve worked really hard on getting my hair healthy and was very excited about the length I had finally gotten to and this chick ruined all that took all my length off. She barely talked the whole time and when I checked out she just turned around and walked off I said so are we done she didn t say anything or even turn around. I went to my car and cried. She ruined all my work on my hair. And she not very nice. Since when do you finish a transaction and ignore the customer no bye no thanks for coming absolutely nothing. Such great customer service. I will not go back there again.

I give a whole lot of grace to new hair dressers and older folks who are still cutting hair but my god its like this place is an SNL bit. I had a woman tell me today is her first day and she butchered my hair. Another was probably 80 and complained that she cant see while her hands were shaking. I dont know why I went back after bad experiences (theyre next to my house and I usually need to go to Target) but this place finally convinced me I will never pay less than $50 for a haircut again.

My son wanted a few inches took off and blended. Instead she made him look way worse than before he went in! For the future of your stylist that don t know how to cut long hair all you have to say is I don t know how to cut long hair instead of making somebody pay for the haircut you messed up! So upset. Lopsided and choppy I asked for 2 inches off, halfway through lady asked if I wanted face shaping and I said sure. After she was done she didn t part my hair back to the side like how I came in and it was still very wet from the mist. I went home to blow dry and brush it and noticed it was choppy and lopsided. I went back to see if they could fix it and was basically told unless I want it shorter I just have to let it grow out. They said it was even for a middle part and I should ve told them I parted it to the side but I literally walked in with it parted so I didn t realize I have to tell a stylist that. Even for a middle part it makes no sense for hair to be shorter in the back/choppy I guess you get what you pay for.

My service was HORRIBLE. The older woman that was cutting my hair was extremely rude and disrespectful. This was my first and LAST time ever coming here. She even used the phrase Calm down, black man !!!! This is extremely unacceptable and I will be going back to speak to her manager Tracy . Worst haircut experience Ive ever had. Halfway through the haircut the stylist asked if it was okay, I asked her to take the fade a little higher. She completely lost her temper and started screaming at me in the salon that shed done what I asked. She had not. Luckily, I was the only one in the salon. After some back and forth she begrudgingly took the fade higher but in her temper rushed and was heavy handed. As you can imagine the resulting haircut was less than satisfactory. Ill be wearing a hat until it grows out and I will take my business elsewhere.

This is a great place to get a haircut however a few bad employees. I went to get myself and my son a cut. My son a regular haircut getting sides all cut to 1/2 guard or(regular clippers) no issue lady was wonderful I said please don t line him up.ok great no issues. My turn my history shows I get a 2 on tops and half on sides. I say no not today. A high fade is what I m looking for something simple and easy. Oh no we don t do that. We will stick with the 1/2 on sides or you can get up. I m not wasting my time for that. And tells me to sit down and proceeds to call another customer forward to work on them.

Went out of my way to come to this location. Wont bother next time. Asked for a fade and some off the top, and this is what I got...tried to have them fix it, but they made it even worse. Didnt want it to get any worse, so decided to just leave. Was still charged for this attempt at a haircut. Looks like Im going to have to go home to try and salvage my hair myself. *Update* Got home and my spouse said I looked like a victim of a crime. Couldnt remember the last time I had a hair cut so poor. Basically no fade, and hair on top is randomly different lengths. Mentioned it might be bordering out of compliance for my work uniform, and I have work early tomorrow! *Update #2* Emailed customer service as suggested. No response. *Update #3 Whenever I have someone new cutting my hair, I pull up this picture showing what I dont want my hair to look like (the worst haircut I can remember ever getting). Also never heard back from anyone after emailing as suggested. Probably just post that to make it sound like they care, and never respond. Avoiding this location still, and by current reviews, Im making the right choice.

I am so glad Toya came back as the manager. She has done my hair for years. I came in today but Toya was busy, she recommended Jamie. I usually dont like anyone else to cut my hair. Jamie did an amazing job. I am so happy with my new cut. Both ladies are so good at what they do and both super nice. I will recommend this place.

Just experienced the worst behaviour. I would not even give one star. But, unfortunately I have no other options. I highly recommend not to go to this Great clips. Because, the lady of this salon was so so arrogant and did such misbehave I never ever had from any people in USA. I went their for the haircut of my 4years old, because its gonna be his birthday after 1day. I was just telling her in details how to cut the hair, and she was not even listening to me, just telling me to sit out there and I can see my son when she is done. Still, I was trying to explain it again nicely and also telling her that he is just 4 let me stand, then she just told you dont tell me what to do, and telling me she is not gonna do the haircut and started behaving arrogantly. I was saying, excuse me mam, this not the way you should behave. And the lady started misbehaving and yelling that she is not gonna do haircut, arrogantly take off the hair cutting cloth from my son and asking me to leave. Then I got really angry, was telling her, this is the way you behave with the customers? You are not even listening to me! If you have any personal problem, deal with that lady. Dont show the arrogance to me. My son is just 4years old, I cant leave him. Then, suddenly another customer went in the shop and she went all silent. What a turnover. Such an actress. And while I was writting the review from my car I just saw another client goes in with a kid. And she was all ok with both the parents standing with their kid. So, why she behaved with me like that! Then I went in again and asked her so, now its ok? And took a picture. So I dont want to name this BEHAVOIUR, because I have met so many wonderful souls in USA who have respected me and loved me. So yeah, never ever go to this great clips. Behaviour matters more then the hair cut. I dont understand how someone behaves so rudely in front of a four year old kid. She just ruined my sons 4th birthdays happy vibe. Really very disappointed. And wanted to ask the authority of this Great clips take a proper action against this lady and please give some lessons to the hair stylist that how to behave with clients of every race. On June 11th June 2022 , I was trying get my hair cut at this location one of retarded older Hispanic lady checked in me here and she was so rude and not paying attention on my hair talking to other crew and keep harassing me and scolded me to move my body parts I asked her why she was doing ?? Finally, she went off put me out of store and weaving all scissors and machine incut my face with half hair. messed up I felt so terrible . , I called law some body suggests me to in sue in court as victim of this crime. I have been having my hair cut here for several years. About a year or so ago the person that had been cutting my hair wasn t there and Megan said that she could do an undercut for me. I explained that I do not like to blow dry my hair because it damages it. When she was finishing my cut my hair wasn t turning under so she started blow drying my hair. I kept asking her to stop but she kept doing it until the manager told her to stop. The manager then fixed my haircut and did a great job. Last month Jamie cut my hair but it didn t turn out very good so I went back later that week to get it fixed. Jamie was very nice and said that we must have had not communicated very well. She was going to fix my hair when Megan started being very rude. Megan was saying things like I don t know why you come here since you don t like how we cut your hair. I said that I had been getting haircuts from Edra that I really liked and Megan said that maybe I should find Edra and have her cut my hair. Megan also told me that I should learn how to style my hair. Then Jamie said that I needed to come back when Myrna was there and have her fix my haircut. I went back a few days later and Myrna was very nice and did the best she could without getting my hair too short. I was so embarrassed and upset by the way Megan was talking to me so rudely and was surprised that she was doing that with other customers there. In the meantime I am having to wait for my hair to grow out to get it cut the way I want it. I m also not sure where to go to get it cut.

Got what I needed, a basic haircut, but to get it was a little tedious. Walked into the store and it was a little warm. That was ok. But I felt like I was in a disco. The music was so loud I thought I needed to wait outside. When I was called for my cut I discovered that the music was barely audible in my seat. But waiting to get my cut was a pain.

Run do walk away from this place. I have been growing my hair out for 6-7 months so I could have a full head of hair. I went in to trim it on the sides and back. Mirna - the manager claiming she has been cutting hair for 30 years - got out her clippers and in 15 seconds buzz cut the sides and back of my hair. She went all the way down to skin on one side and the back. She refused to admit her mistake and blamed me for it. She is a horrible person. Had a call into the owner and all he said was sorry. This one gets reported to the State.

I was not happy with stylist statement. She stated she was used to doing mens hair. Wanted me to find a picture of the hairstyle I wanted. Very bad salon my son went to do hair cut and he told to the woman that she cut for him to cut on number 4 by the machine she didnt listen to him and did on number 1 without any trim for the edges and there were holes on his hair. If you go here ask for Shane! Shes the absolute best stylist and her talents and skill are equal to top notch stylists , shes the only person I let touch my hair . I also highly reccomend her to all my close family and friends , idc what other bullcrap reviews this location may or may not have but I know one thing for sure, if Shane does your hair you wont have to worry about being disappointed!

Took myself for a bang trim to blend in with my hair and took my daughter to get her first hair cut and they both came out terrible! The lady who did my bangs didn t even blend my bangs and the lady who did my daughters hair cut didn t do as I asked! She cut it way more shorter then I asked and didn t even do the length I requested! She didn t know how to handle my daughters hair and had also asked if I could brush my child s hair for her! I had said something about it yet I only got a $2 discount and was told it will grow back I understand how hair growth works! But it s the matter of the fact they didn t do as I requested! Never going back and I don t recommend it to anyone unless you don t care how your hair looks!

Worst haircut I have ever received in my life. When I brought it to the stylists attention she became super rude and defensive and would not admit she made a mistake. I have been coming to this location for a while now. I definitely will not be coming back. She also proceeded to charge me full price for the haircut even though she ruined my hair. This stylist was horrible.

She wouldn t cut my 2 year old sons hair because he wouldn t stop moving? He is two he is going to move... and she wouldn t let me hold him in my lap to cut his hair... She states because of social distancing, understandable but I m wearing a mask and she is too...

My son just had haircut. They did it very badly hair not clean, original hair left over on many places also they made it uneven all over. I can do better haircut than what they do today. totally not professional work. My husband is a regular customer looks like they take this job as a grant saying it s kids haircut. very disappointed.

Update: Once is a fluke, but twice in a row is hard to explain. Unfortunately, hard to recommend this location. This cut was free due to the last one, and I definitely got what I paid for. I think she may have just gotten flustered after she accidentally cut my bangs off, because it was going well up to that point. At the end she was like you might need to get some Biotin, I assume to help grow out the mistakes. Such a shame because my first trip was great. Leaving at two stars just because they were really nice and apologetic both times. Original: Fantastic customer service. I had an issue and Toya contacted me quickly to apologise and make everything right. Highly recommend this location, and to contact them if you have any issues.

It was nice in there customer service was great i have 5 because it was clean and customer service was great the 2 ladys were super dooper nice. I took my client to get a hair cut just a normal cut cut the hair down and line it up and that was 15$ that was to much for me other than that

Scheduled visit online for my son and he still had to wait in line behind others. Then lady cut my sons ear. She was polite and came out and told me about it. It didnt phase him. Getting use to all these new guidelines and cutting around ears and masks now make it difficult. Over all very friendly and courteous.

I had a hair cut with Rylie and my hair was butchered. I asked for 4 inches off and long layers, not chunky. A pretty standard hair cut that I ve gotten numerous times. The length taken off was accurate but the layers had no rhyme or reason. They were uneven and jagged and were spaced out from 5 inches 3 inches and 1 inch. That s not considered a long layer. It looks extremely chunky and choppy and even the layers aren t clear. They are very uneven.

After a disappointing 1st haircut experience for my 1.5yr old at a kids salon, I took a chance on bringing him to this Great Cuts. I was SO surprised by our experience. Meagan was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL with my son and gave him the most adorable haircut!!! We will definitely be back.

Stylist: Megan This is the worst haircut I ve ever received in my life and I ve received some bad ones. I m in a wedding next month. When I went in there was a dirty neck strip sitting in the chair. The stylist didn t bother to remove it. I asked her to take half an inch off the perimeter (length) and from the layers. She cut three inches off. She didn t fully wet down my hair. She didn t blend the layers to the perimeter and she rushed through the entire thing. I was out in about 10 minutes with the worst hair cut of my life. None of the layers are even. I can barely put my hair into a pony tail. I will never go here again. Three weeks later and I still hate my haircut. My hair grows extremely slow.

We arrived at the store at noon. I asked how long the wait was she said 10 minutes tops. 2 people came in after we did. Both went before we did obviously a online check in. When I get online to check wait time it say 30 minutes. Why in the world did this stylist say 10 if it obviously wasnt going to be a 10 minute wait.

My angled bob was chopped up. When I called to find out the stylists name and I told her what was wrong. She offered no apology or any sense of sympathy, all she told me to do was call the manager..thats it. Now I have to get another salon to fix the bad job that was done. I have been to many Great Clips simply because theyre fast, cheap, and do a reasonably good job for a simple trim. Today, was an exception. The stylist cut my layers quite unevenly and proceeded to literally laugh in my face when I pointed it out, stating that the right and left sides dont have to be the same length (she pointed to her own face framing layers - one of which was down to her chin and the other was mid-cheek). I requested that she even mine out, but she continued to laugh at me and tell me that I didnt know what I was doing. I may not be a stylist, but I know that I prefer that my hair be the same length on the left and the right - and thats really all that matters. I was highly disappointed with her lack of professionalism and condescension.

Update 11/8/19: I found out why there was a 75 min wait for online checkin after I arrived- they have only one stylist working during prime time on a Friday. After waiting for my time I arrived and sat down. 10 min later, still one person working, I left. This location is consistently terrible for a plethora of reasons. Don t waste your time. Previously: I would have been better off cutting it myself. The woman couldn t cut it properly because her front mass made contact with the chair before her arms could reach my head. the mass was so large it pushed my arms off of the armrest. Very awkward.
