We went during the black out after Beryl it was one of few places open and they were so slammed they ran out of chips and rice. But the staff was amazing at keeping us informed of our order status and they replaced the rice with some delicious mixed veggies and offered free coffee the next morning with our recipe as an apology for no chips. The food was delicious and the staff did an excellent job despite being obviously exhausted. Will definitely return to try them again in a less hectic time. Kid-friendliness: They had great kid options. Our kiddos ordered burgers and inhaled them.

My first time eating here. The food was fresh and yummy. I had the Chimichanga and it was the best Ive had in a long, long time. Even the rice and guacamole was fabulous. They give you enough for two meals. Its been a long time since Ive had good Mexican food out. This is for sure my go to place from now on.

It is a shame. We love to support our local businesses. Can in to grab some quick food to go. Ordered 2 salads with salmon on it, which i mentioned 2 several times, and some queso. The waitress who helped me sighed when I came in because she had to get up. Then was not friendly at all and had a huge attitude even though all i did was order and ask what kind of dressings they had for the salads. After 15 minutes of waiting, my bag came out with 1 salad, not two, and the smallest container or salsa I have ever seen. The salads are very disappointing because all they are is a dry piece of salmon and some shredded lettuce. Will not be going here again. After all that, when i got home, I realized there was no dressing for the salads in the bag.

The beef fajitas I believe were water boiled with zero seasonings. Clearly not grilled because they are delivered with zero sizzling. Very inedible. The staff was very rude and delivered zero attention. After waiting about 15 minutes sitting at our table we finally had to go to the front entrance to ask for a server. This has been our experience our last 3 visits. This is our LAST visit.

The rice had absolutely no taste, it was gross. Same for the beans. My enchilada tasted like a soggy paper towel wrapped in kraft singles. The crunchy tacos were soggy with no flavor. Plus the sautéed onions were just chunks of onions barely cooked. The food tasted terrible, just bland and unflavored. So much for an anniversary dinner. We did do a Togo order which costs us way extra, but the containers bent and misformed and leaked everywhere. We will not be back, ever. Overpriced for bland nasty food.

My spinach enchiladas were the best thing or of what we ate but the spinach was very salty. The jalapeno cream sauce was Fantastic!! The queso tasted like Velveeta which was disappointing. The spinach enchiladas were one of perhaps 3 vegetarian options on the menu and the other person eating with me said his food was VERY salty

We have been eating at Rico s regularly for 7-8 years. The owners Perez and Paola are awesome people! They are constantly updating and improving the menu and quality of the food. If you have not tried them lately you should! The cheese enchiladas are the best in town! The service is great. All of the servers greet me and My Family by name every time we walk through the door. I have used them for multiple times for very large catering orders for groups of 80+ for fajitas and it was a complete hit! Most recently our youth basketball team won the end of season tournament and we had our party at Rico s. Treated us like kings and everyone had a great experience and enjoyed the food. #CustomerForLife

My husband and I had a nice meal there a couple of months ago, and we ordered take out today. His #4 meal came without the rice and refried beans. Just 2 soggy cold cheese enchiladas. His crispy taco was equally cold and soggy. My fajita chicken enchiladas were also cold, but I got my rice and beans. We had originally planned to do an online order but the site was faulty - it was saying the earliest delivery would be tomorrow at 11am. These folks need to get their act together. Well give them time for that.

Spent over $100 on takeout food. Forgot part of order. Mom s order did not make it. I Had to travel back and wait 30 min for additional food. Everyone else was too polite to eat in front of mom, so by the time I got back everything cold. The food may be ok but more places to choose from here that appreciate the business.

Terrible service. The fact that it s not packed at 12:30 on a Sunday should have been a sign. Walked in and wanted to go sit at the bar to order to go and have a soda but forced me to order up front. Then didn t give me anything to snack on chips and salsa when I saw a women getting it for me the gentleman told her no in Spanish (I could fully understand them). I paid $3.50 for a soda, and they never refilled me. I had to ask for everything. Ordered $45 worth of food and treated like a nuisance. Will never put my money here again. I ll drive elsewhere

Terrible food. Terrible service. Slimy business practices. Plenty of parking, because no one goes here. Its a ghost town on a Saturday night and you quickly see why. If you dont mind rude staff, and a surplus of surcharges this place is for you. I will NEVER go to this place ever again. They added 2 different fees on the ticket for Non Cash Adj Even though I paid cash. And a to-go surcharge! And to top it all off, the lady at the bar took my cash and never gave me any change, essentially stealing from me. I waited 10 minutes for my change before I just decided to leave. What made her think she deserved an 8 dollar tip? Also very rude asking me what I wanted and tone was very insulting and condescending. If you go here, and you dont speak spanish, GOOD LUCK. Food wasnt even good, the steak was tough and chewy, no sear and BLAND. Gave it to the dogs. Thanks for nothing Ricos. Taco bell across the street would have been better. Parking: All the parking you could possibly need because nobody is ever there.

Just moved to the area and wanted to try this place because it is close by The food was pretty good, I had the Baja shrimp tacos which were tasty. Girlfriend had the El Ranchito, she said is was very tasty. The chips and salsa was a small portion, but the fire roasted salsa was very good.

We come here often for post work activities and they are always busy at the major meal times. They of course aren t perfect but we always enjoy going to Rico s. The service is always nice and attentive. The food is always tasty and great. The drinks could use a little work but they do their job. Steak Ricos taco, cheese enchiladas, and the soups are always my go to. We love Rico s and the locals do too.

We went here and the service was horrible. I could not talk to the waiter because we spoke different languages, and they refused to get us someone who could help. They overcharged and added credit card fees I wasn t aware of. Then once we left the restaurant they chased us outside a couple minutes later telling us to tip more next time-we tipped everything we could. Food was good but it s safe to say I wont be coming again.

Horrible place with horrible staff who upcharged us and yelled at us for not tipping enough Kid-friendliness: We were a group of teenagers (18-19) and they were extremely rude telling us to tip more and that we need to learn how to properly pay service workers. Placed an order for the Fiesta Pack #2 to go, which costs nearly $40. This order of a fajita combo is supposed to be more than enough for two people. However, they gave me tortillas, rice, guacamole and pico for just one person. I was told thats how it comes. Ive been a customer for well over ten years, but I was sorely disappointed at what I received, and the response from the manager when I called.

My sister in law used to come here for lunch when she worked across the road. Said it was pretty good. I guess it changed since then. Started with the skinny margarita which was good. Ordered the Cadillac appetizer. ( 4 nacho chips with steak pieces, 1 quesadillas ( cut in half) and 1 flautas cut In half. It was ok I ordered the (3) chicken Flautas dinner. Flautas were nice size but extremely dry. Couldn t finish the 3rd one. (2) taco beef dinner was good. Camarones Borrachos was also good. Chicken and steak fajitas . Now this is where my problem is . 3 small pieces of chicken and 3 small pieces of steak over onions. $19.99. I was floored by the size of the dish. I ve gotten 3x the size at every Mexican place I have ever eaten from Texas to NJ. Very disappointed. Wish I had taken a picture. Service was good though. Don t think I will ever go back.

Ive been a fan for many years and called Ricos my go to resturant but, the last couple years the food is just alright and the prices were too high even before covid. The service is sketchy and Ive left there twice with missing items I had paid for. When I returned to get my order was told it was in my bag?? THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER ! I would leave a zero stars if a could! Service from start to finish was not good , I ordered a mojito and it came with a HAIR in it, The waiter didnt offer an apology and either the manager. The food was nothing more than bland. My wife had Baja shrimp tacos I had a chimichanga. We were ready to go and I asked for the bill. I provided my debit card promptly paid. I was immediately called by Chase fraud department and told that I was charged twice at this location. I brought it to the attention of a manager a tall Hispanic woman and she told me that it was impossible. I showed her the receipt as well as a partial screenshot of my bank statement. She told me that this was just nothing more than a pending charge and would drop off. Here we are 4 days later and the charge went through now I will have to fight to get my money back.

Okay if youve never had great Mexican food. This is okay if you dont have a go to spot, but much too expensive for the mediocre taste. Ended up throwing most of my food away, as it ruined my appetite. Take my review with a grain of salt as Ive eaten Mexican food from the Valley and South Texas. Wont be back

HAPPY HOUR starts at 11 AM!!!!@ Happy hour margaritas are so good. Food has been fantastic every time. First couple times the service was a bit slow but everytime things have improved. Love having a great place right around the corner. I have lived here less than a month and have been here weekly.

Service was great and the food was just okay. Salsa was very tasty! House margarita tastes like watery lime Kool aid. I could even taste the chlorine from the tap water used , which is more than I can say about the tequila. We go here because its close by, but Ive been consistently disappointed for awhile, sadly. Ive refrained from leaving a review until now, but the margaritas the last two times showed zero effort. Were in Texas, you gotta make a decent margarita.

Ive been to Ricos once or twice before with good experiences. Ive ordered off the al carbon menu and been happy with my meal. Today, however, I ordered to go lunch for my wife and I and I was so disappointed I had to share. I ordered the deluxe taco with a chalupa and some ceviche. The taco was ok although the beef had little to no seasoning so pretty mediocre. The chalupa was actually two crispy taco bowls. One was half filled with melted cheese and the other one was upside down. On the underside of this second taco bowl was cheese and lettuce with pieces of guacamole strewn about my to go tray. Thats it. No meat, tomatoes, sour cream... nada. Literally looks like they threw it into the tray and called it good. The worst part was the ceviche. I love seafood so to my surprise the ceviche was bone dry. No hint of lemons or any kind of juices. Good ceviche is juicy almost soup like. I took 2 bites and sadly threw it out because not only was it dry, the fish didnt taste that fresh either. I hate to leave bad reviews; Im not picky and I very rarely deem food so bad that I dont want to eat it. This, unfortunately, was one of those times.

Went for dinner our second visit. We hoped to enjoy a glass of wine but they only stock 2 cheap whites. Ordered water which came to our table with no ice. We requested a glass of ice but it was never brought. Ordered beef enchiladas. The beef inside my dish was only partially cooked. The restrooms here are terrible. Honestly no one in this restaurant much cares if customers are happy or the food is good! Don t waste your money here

I absolutely love Mexican food and sour cream. I never thought I would say this but the food here is just okay. Hardly seasoned. And on top of it all the sour cream has a texture to it like its cheap and it is gross.

Ordered lunch through uber eats. My coworker and I ordered the beef fajitas for one and chicken enchiladas. He said the enchiladas were very good. I however did not receive tortillas with my fajitas. The flavor was okay and probably would have been better with tortillas. The churro beans are amazing! The shredded chicken soup was very good as well.
