Los Generales has been a family tradition for YEARS! The menu offers variety without being overcomplicated. Dishes are well thought out and prepared to consistently high standards. Trying something new can be challenging because its so easy to find a favorite you want to order every time! The charro beans are peerless! The staff are so wonderful and attentive. The environment is comfortable, relaxed, and homey. Los Generales is the best!

First time trying this place and I was very happy to finally find a good Mexican restaurant but I was treated so badly at the end. I tried to use a gift card that was given to me by a friend that is a regular at this place and speaks highly of the food. The guy that took my gift card said there was no money on my card and that I had to pay cash. I explained to him that there should be $100 on the gift card and it s never been used. He argued with me. I asked him to call his manager and he said no. He insisted I pay cash and return the next day to possibly get my money back. He told me to call the person that gave me the gift card to see if they have the receipt. He lied to me and told me that gift cards do not work after 3 months. After arguing with me for another 15 minutes he finally swiped the gift card in front of me and it worked. He didn t want to give me my receipt to see my balance. Never apologized to me. Very rude guy. He wouldn t give me his name. Horrible customer service from him but the food and the waitress was very good. Be careful purchasing a gift card from this place.

This feels like every cozy comfy Mexican restaurant you visit with your family in town. Like the Mexican restaurant you loved in 2005 (in the best way) and had no idea you missed. This restaurant was phenomenal. The food was on point, well seasoned, well cooked - hell, I would have eaten just the plain rice for a meal. It was so good! I had the Fajitas and a house margarita and it was delicious. The house marg is on par and standard but still great, and the fajitas were delicious and sizzling hot. Some people may say that service is slow but its not, in my opinion. Its comfortable. No one is rushing you to order or to get out to free up a table, everyone takes their time and it gives you time to just breathe, enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant, and the people you are eating with. The price point is great too, I know with inflation everything is a little mor pricey, but we have spent more at IHOP than we had here! And got more food! This is definitely going to be our local haunt, its a lovely place with great food and drinks.

Los Generales is a great place if you want great food and service. I typically have their street tacos with some extra spice and they are the best. If you request some great tasting extra spicy salsa, they have it. I will occasionally eat their Shrimp and Beef Fajitas. They are incredible. I have a picky 3 year old and he loves their chicken fajita taco. My older kids love their tacos and quesedillas. My wife loves their margaritas while I enjoy their cold draft beer. Roberto behind the bar and server Javier are friendly and always provide great service. The owner will also stop by and say hello. Keep up the great work!

I wasnt completely blown away to give 5 stars, but the food was great and beats many other places Ive been to in the area. I got the stuffed avocado and while it was good, I would probably try something else next time I visit. I did have a bite of the sour cream enchiladas and I would recommend them. Margs were also enjoyable and the staff was very friendly. Will come back!

I ve never had a worse experience with a restaurant in my life. I took a large order home worth $196 and not one of the meals was edible. The chicken fajitas had the worst rubbery texture, the ground beef enchiladas were bland and cold but the worst was the beef enchiladas. I opened the container and it smelled like rotting beef. I checked with the entire family to make sure I wasn t going crazy and they confirmed that the beef was spoiled. I turned around and went back to the restaurant where they exchanged the beef fajitas for 2 cheese enchilada plates. I was grossed out but was happy that they at least tried to make it right by exchanging the meal. However that was short lived because when I got home, I found a hair wrapped up in one of my cheese enchiladas. I was throughly disgusted at this point and went all the back to return both enchilada plates. I did not expect to have the entire meal comped but they only gave me my money back for the one enchilada plate which wouldn t even pay for the gas that I used to go back and forth to the restaurant twice. It s sad because this restaurant used to be really good. The prices are not worth the service and quality of food. Trust me on this one. You re better off eating at Taco Bell because at least their food is edible.

Do not eat at this restaurant. I ordered chicken fajitas and they were terrible. They were bland and the texture was like eating a rubber eraser. The service is sub par and for the amount of money I paid, I expected a whole lot more than what I received. I m so disappointed. I threw out my meal and bought dinner from another restaurant.

Only Mexican place open on New Years Day. To-go order of fajitas was terrible. The beef smelled rancid, and the chicken was rubbery. After complaint, one order of beef fajitas was refunded and cheese enchiladas ordered to replace them. But, once home, a long dark hair was pulled from the first enchilada. Returned remainder of meal and was refunded for one enchilada as if one could finish the rest of the meal! The bill was $160 for 6 people (no drinks).

I ordered a burrito. It was a tortilla with meat. Very small like a fake Taco Bell taco. The enchiladas taste weird. The burrito California was NOT a California sized one. It lacked flavor i bit into nothing but large pieces of lettuce! And it s almost like they just sprinkled meat in there. I am never coming back here again. Oh and to top it off for the quality of the food it was not worth $77 we were charged. I d rather go to Arandas.

My second time here, ordered different dinner plates. The food is delicious, the fajita is so tender and juicy, I ordered queso flameado with chorizo it comes with flour tortillas, was surprised when they brought it , because of the presentation, its my first time seeing flames on the queso, I have eaten this appetizer in other restaurants. I ordered sopapillas as dessert, didnt like them cause all the sweet they put on it ( caramel, chocolate syrup, cinnamon / sugar , plus honey , whip cream ) they have a weird after taste. Talk about the atmosphere, I believe they have karaoke on Tuesday and you can even dance. The only down side is that they close at 10

Beginning with the food orders, they do completely the opposite and serve you what you said about lease do NOT miss this or that, and then they missed it and do the opposite you asked. Then you have to wait until they correct the food order and even then they do it wrong again and you ending eating it because you are hungry and waiting and it taste horribly.seriously not even a good salsa, everything is not good. I do not know how there is not a single mexican restaurant around Klein, that makes good food except for El Tiempo Cantina! A lot if opportunities for anyone that wants to add competition because there are none!

I stopped by for lunch today and was completely disappointed! I ordered the lunch chicken mole and received a pile of canned shredded chicken, that was topped with a top layer of sweet mole sauce! Whattt????? Completely disgusting!!! I did NOT eat it. That is definitely NOT mole. This was my last visit here, as little by little this place has lost its authenticity. Las Palapas on off 1604 and OConner is soooo much better. To top it off, military discount is not honored on lunch plates. Ridiculous!!!!!

I d skip this one if you re looking for real mexican food. The food was not good (very bland), powdered aguas frescas, and it was high priced. Also got charged extra for fajita on a burrito that had more lettuce than anything and fajita sprinkled as if it was cheese. The worst thing you can experience is wasting money on food but now we know and I m leaving this to warn others. I recommend eating at Las Flores or Casa Nueva, both are near by, those are my favorites.

another small Mexican restaurant in Houston metro (sole proprietorship ?), all staff that i saw were Hispanic; salsa was good (average tortilla chips); many choices in the menu; i ordered the Autentico dinner;1 taco served first with some guacamole (average flavor) and lettuce/tomato on the side; the 2 enchiladas, rice, and refried beans were bland (i suspect the enchiladas had a very mild green chile sauce) .... i recommend you order something with the fajita beef or chicken (surely, that wont be bland)

Im from San Antonio, so I know authentic Tex-Mex. Los Generales is amazing. The food is always fresh and delicious. The drink glasses are never allowed to be empty. The chips & salsa are seemingly never-ending. They catered a party I had and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and delicious. They have a bar and also outside dining. All the staff is super friendly and will do their best to keep you happy. The fajitas are amazing! So are the stuffed avocados and fish tacos.
