This was my first time here. I ordered shrimp with some type of cream sauce. It was really flavorless and watery. My wife ordered the carnita. The service was good, but it seems like I was served by about four different people. But theyre all friendly. I had some photos but there not able to download.. Ill update them at a later time

Terrible. I made a very specific burrito order and stressed my desire for a tightly wrapped burrito. What does this restaurant do? The complete opposite. Loosely wrapped,falling apart burrito. On top of that the taste of the burrito was crap! The manager caught wind of my disappointment and offered a plate next time. I appreciate the offer but I declined because there will never be a next time the food was that bad.

Came here for lunch with my son. Really great food and service. Lunch special #4 was great. That and the rocks strawberry margarita was perfect. Will come for dinner soon. Top 3 Mexican in Spring. Kid-friendliness: They brought a small queso (smaller than regualr small order size) for my son as soon as we sat down. Wasnt on receipt!!!

This place has went so downhill since 2008 First time we ordered here! Service and quality of food has went down al the while the prices have went up tremendously!! Today wasn t a good day I guess. I order the trio enchiladas combo, didn t receive rice and bean that come with meal on top of that the food I did receive wasn t it s best. Taste like frozen tv dinners that been sitting out for couple of days. My son received hamburger and he said it was dry and tasted burnt. So I tasted it, definitely burnt. Tasted like the pieces left behind on grill or bbq pit. My daughter had the chicken taco. It was fair but I ve had better. My other daughter had the chicken fingers which WAS NOT chicken fingers ! Literally Dino nuggets!!! The Queso (which is VELVETTA or canned cheese) and salsa was the only thing good about my meal. I spent 43$ for unpleasant food which is crazy. When called and told the lady in the front about the missing items She did offer to give the items but literally the whole meal need to be replaced and fixed properly.

We first visited this place as it was opening - almost 20 years ago. Have visited several other mexican food restaurants across the Houston area. Grew up in south Texas. This place is simply awesome. I have worked my way across the menu. You will not find a better selection with amazing quality. You will not be disappointed here. FOLLOW UP (11/01/23): Apparently this restaurant was sold. The quality of the food has dropped like a rock. This was a traumatic experience for us as this place was SOLID. Now the food is trash. I asked the people at the front about what happened to the quality, but they are all new and dont understand what I am asking. Now looking for another good Mexican food restaurant. SMH.

This used to be a go-to local place but things change. My father always ordered the shrimp cocktail. However the last 2 have been watered down and flavorless. The cheese enchiladas were inedible with what tasted like a cheese product in them. The ground meat in tacos is unseasoned. Good service and nice people. But thumbs down.

We have been coming here for13 years and it s been great they used to be packed and the food was great! However the last couple of times we have gone the food, the wait staff and the manager have been different. The cook is definitely not the same and the simplest things like rice, cheese enchiladas, tacos and refried beans etc are not good. The queso is like the canned nacho cheese with milk and even then it s grainy and more like Mac and cheese cheese. We won t go back, such a shame.

Used to love this place. Family ate here at least once a week. The last few months it seems like they ve changed management or something and are cheeping out on a lot of things. Got rid of free queso at lunch, portions for food and for salsa and chips are tiny, even the queso quality is terrible. A lot of the staff seemed to have changed. No one knows what is happening there anymore. I ve spoken with others that used to love it here and they ve all had the same complaints and have started going somewhere else.

Canned food that they serve on your plate, tasteless, thrown onto your plate in a mess, you ask them for something like coffee since I visited in the morning and they tell you that they dont have it (even though it is on the menu) you ask them for something else and they have nothing even though This is on the menu, you end up ordering what the gentlemen like to serve, they serve you without encouragement and they dont even try to be friendly and the truth is the food was very very bad, with the prices Id better go to another place where they serve me well and serve the same as the royal toast, etc. Its really not worth going, the beans taste ugly, you can tell they went from the can to your plate... Its really not worth it, I never express myself like that about any place but this one won it... better go somewhere else to eat well here, really...

Been going here since I was a kid and ngl it doesnt have the same feel as it used to. Like you know its sad when the most flavorful thing in your meal is the cheese. On another perspective thats why my parents wanted to go because its not spicy so its good for them. Hidden gem in Spring! Definitely one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. Easily trumps Alicias and a really strong contender with Mama Juanitas. Great drinks, great food for the price, and exceptional service. Very unassuming ambiance but dont let first impressions fool you. Very rare to find a place here that serves fried whole tilapia but boy do they fry and season it soooo good! Glad I dont have to drive all the way to Mambos for this now. Just two things.. Please dont serve this awesome fried tilapia with fries,just Spanish rice and Pico would be awesome. Also the flan was really good, if its made with little to no egg whites then this flan would be fantastic!

Our regular (Tex) Mexican restaurant closed (La Maria s) so we were looking for a replacement. We decided, after some research and menu analysis, to try Los Ranchitos (#3). It was excellent. I want to give the biggest shout out to this location and their staff. I called for a last minute get together for my family. I called and without hesitation I was told they would have my table ready at the time I requested for 30 ppl. When my family arrived they had it all set up at the time they said it would be, no waiting! The service was beyond amazing and we didn t want for anything and nothing was accidentally messed up. Just ordered for delivery 3 items and total amount $61 , order incomplete plus cold and not correctly made. I called and Itzel said well you need to speak to a manager to fix the order or to contact door dash but theirs no manager here now , managers are only here in the morning on weekends. Wow!
