First time at this restaurant - visited due to the glowing Google reviews (we came to know later why) . Friendly and quick service. Lively place. Abraham, our server, was very solicitous. Served us complimentary Middle Eastern tea, which was quite welcome. Food consisting of spicy/nutty hummus, cold bread, chicken/beef/gyro platter (with salad and rice), and Persian eggplant (cooked mashed eggplant, tomatoes and onions; yellow rice and salad) arrived quickly and was plentiful. However, tastes were rather bland - hummus was too pasty; except for the Gyros, meats had no flavor. At the end of the meal, we were asked to provide a Yelp review in exchange for Baklava (which was cold and firm; not warm, moist, and dripping with honey, as good Baklava should be). Overall, mediocre food, good service, and very pricey. Set us back almost $100 for two, including 18% tip. Have had much better food at significantly lower prices.

What can actually be wrong with this restaurant? Nothing, except for me going there with my socks and flip flops. The service was excellent, top notch! This was my 3rd time dining at Lama. I finally brought the rest of the family and they loved it! One thing that was different this time was that the owner took his time to come to the table to say hi and made small talk. He was pretty genuine and even assisted on serving the table next to us. That was good to see. You definitely can feel the positive energy in this place. The food was AMAZING! My favorite dish is the lamb chops with saffron rice. I ve had the rotisserie chicken and that s pretty good. The dishes are definitely shareable. I finally got to see the belly dancer in action. She s super talented and GORGEOUS. I definitely plan to come back.

In a word AMAZING! Lama mediterranean, is a restaurant experience with the 5-Star winning combination: Beautiful atmosphere, outstanding food/drinks and exceptional service! The atmosphere was layered with warm lighting and real plants , creating a casually beautiful environment full of beautiful people. Tables, chairs, and restrooms were clean excellent !The food was incredibly delicious! The Mazza sampler was super fresh, great and yet satisfying! The beef kabobs was tasty and so tender, it melted on our mouths like butter! The drinks were refreshing and flavorful! It was all delicious!! We even requested a second order on a few of the chosen dishes. The two beautiful sister are the consummate waiters of choice and we will always rely upon their recommendations, with waiters like them. I am also very pleased to thank Abraham for keeping up with the delicious pita bread and garlic sauce there is no need to even look at a menu.!!! I have been to this place so many times. I have had the chicken joohjeh ,. Now, the beef is cooked to perfection and I just tried the lamb chops and the lamb chops are AMAZING!!!!!! We recently visited Lama after seeing all the glowing reviews on Google, but unfortunately, our experience didn t meet our expectations. The food was bland and lacked the quality we were hoping for. The rave reviews simply do not reflect the actual experience at this place. This was our first visit, and it will definitely be our last. It is a place that I have visited thrice in Houston now. I am a vegetarian, and when I specify the same, they were kind enough to get me food with no egg and no meat. This place has a great ambiance and very well-behaved staff. Food is delicious, too. Since I am from India, I am not used to the portion of meal we here, one person wont be able to complete it, I always had to take it back home.

This place will fill you up with great food. The short version is the food and service are phenomenal. The longer version is I have been to other Mediterranean restaurants that just seem to skimp on the quantity of food, especially the meat. This is absolutely the opposite of that kind of restaurant. It isnt just the quantity either, the flavor was awesome. I ordered the Lama meat platter for 2 knowing I was going to have leftovers and my wife had the falafel sandwich. I eat a embarrassing quantity of food and I still am going to have leftovers for 2 more meals. The tahini sauce that comes with the platter is top notch. The 2 different kinds of hummus were excellent. If you are only going to try a single type of meat, my recommendation is the Gyros. Our waitress was over the top in her service. She told us that the meals are large, made recommendations, and even brought out a little sample so a table mate could decided between 2 different kinds of meat for her sandwich. After your meal they bring mint tea service to your table. This was an unexpected surprise. The tea flavor is subtle and not over powering. A wonderful way to end the meal. Overall, this was a very enjoyable night and we will definitely be eating here many times in the future.

My favorite for Persian food!! Ive been getting to go her for years but my friend was staying with me due to her home being affected by Hurricane Beryl. I wanted to show her one of my favorite local places in The Woodlands. Tayna was a joy to have. Despite being under wait stay from what I appeared, she was delightful and diligent with our service. Hookah - I think they only allow hookah for the outdoor dining area

Lama gets a 4 out of 5 stars. The food was absolutely delicious flavorful kebabs, aromatic rice dishes, and perfectly seasoned appetizers. The cuisine truly stands out. However, the service left something to be desired. The servers were a bit inattentive, which took away from the overall experience. They have hookah!!!! Yay!! Those were our thouths, but it was just not great. Sadly. It didnt quite meet our expectations. Despite some minor issues, this place is a great spot for enjoying authentic Mediterranean-Persian cuisine. With some improvements in service and their hookah offerings, it could easily become a five-star destination.

First day and time in Texas and decided to try Llama restaurant and it was the best decision. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere inside and out is serene and with beautiful greenery and flower design. Sitting inside and out we experienced the best of both worlds. Our new favorite restaurant in The Woodlands! This is by far the best food weve had in awhile and the restaurant decor is amazing. As soon as you walk in, youre surrounded by plants and Turkish lamps. Everything is clean, cozy and beautiful. We started with the hallum cheese, which came with a salad which was perfect. We didnt even take any pictures because everything was so good and fresh. I can highly recommend the chicken shawarma sandwich and fries and also the gyros. Price is on point with great food and we will be returning soon.

I tried the beef shawarma and sweet potato fries for lunch. The shawarma was huge! And the sweet potato fries were extremely delicious. It is hard to describe the interior. It was unique and absolutely beautiful. The staff was super friendly and the ambiance. How do I even describe it. It was so nice. Calming would be a great word. Or maybe cool stress reliever. Wow yall we left here a little more broke but sooooooo happy. My wife found out not all that long ago shes half persian and weve been enjoying the food and culture so much. Weve been wanting to go here for the longest and mothers day was the perfect excuse. We started with the spicy hummus and it was SPICY, but good. Fresh bread, and just right. I had a blue mule to drink and it hit perfect. Nice mix of vodka and ginger beer with just the right amount of lime and mint. Or son had the gyro platter and we both had the persian mixed grill. The lamb chop was a perfect medium rare, the chicken was juicy and delicious, you cant go wrong with tenderloin cuts, kibbeh like none other.,and a side of saffron rice. So good. Expect to spend a little change but its worth it. Cant wait to go back.

I have never eaten at a place where I was treated like this. We came with our three children for breakfast. Two toddlers and you all know how that could end! We were welcomed and the waitress immediately started talking to the kids, remembered their names and made them feel at ease. The food we ordered was delicious and authentic. As always, Lama did an exceptional job in preparing an order for the community iftar party. Everyone loved the food. This was our third year ordering bulk food and it was always a huge success with the crowd. It has become a tradition for us to order from here for these events. When we advertised that the food was ordered from lama, we got double the crowd which was totally unexpected. Would definitely recommend it and order it again. Also would like to mention owner Ali had personally made sure to double check the food before we picked up, and he always has done something special and this time he generously threw in some $10 off cards for the guests too, which people loved. Fatima, was excellent at explaining the dishes to us. The Persian eggplant is my wife s favorite dish here. If you are an eggplant lover, then you will like this dish.
