Had some wonderful whiskey based cocktails tonight at a hometown distillery. The bartender was very helpful in picking out which drinks to try as my mom is typically a margarita drinker. Highly recommend if youre in the area, just note they close at 9pm.

Innovative whiskey oasis with a laid back hometown feel. We showed up as the doors opened and had a chance to talk to Nate, the owner and mad scientist behind Johnny Pickles. After a flight of their 4 whiskies straight, Nate gave us a peek behind the curtain and served us up a couple new cocktails he was thinking of adding to the menu, a tart cherry old fashion and tart cherry julep. Both were dangerously drinkable. Corn whiskey doesnt have the burn of bourbon or other blends that contain rye, so you dont have to be a cigar afficianado to enjoy a drink menu that is both eclectic and classic. The whiskey isnt the only thing this guys crafting, they make their own bitters! The drinks are great, the outdoor space is comfortable and very instagrammable. Do yourself a favor, dont miss this place.

Wow what a great place. The respect for the craft is definitely present in the whiskey they produce. The owners and staff were super amazing and helpful. Nate even gives you comedy show telling dad jokes. Will visit again when we are back in town.

Ive tried their Firehouse whiskey, Breakfast whiskey, Jubilee, and Moonshine. All are phenominal! You may may find yourself wondering which you like the best and imo, the smoothness of their whiskey is unparalleled. If you like yourself, give Johnny Pickles a try.

Weve been to Johnny Pickles a few times now, and weve loved every visit! Both their standard Firehouse Whiskey and their new limited-edition Jubilee (aged in cherrywood!) are great, and their cocktails are fun, unique creations that I havent seen anywhere else. And the space itself is so cool: the building is a converted firehouse, and out back they have a stage for music, a food truck, and even games. Definitely worth the drive!

Johnny Pickles is the perfect place to spend your Saturday. The tasting room has a modern vibe that sets the scene for the inventive, original craft cocktails. Whiskey drinker or not, they are worth the trip from Austin or San Antonio. They also have a nice selection of local wines. The family-friendly outdoor space has a relaxing, fun atmosphere with live music, local food trucks, a bocce ball court and plenty of games to keep the kids occupied. Jen and Nate have done a meticulous job of producing tasty new whiskeys and an experience that is unlike any other in central Texas. Highly recommend!

Fun, cozy spot in the middle of Seguin! The owners, Jen and Nate are super passionate about their craft and were happy to share their process of making farm to bottle whiskey. A bonus is that all their ingredients are locally sourced! Theres always good entertainment and great food trucks as well. Only a few minutes off I10, its also easy to find. Just look for the old firehouse! (which is super cool by the way) If youre a whiskey connoisseur or just like to try new things, I highly recommend paying them a visit!

I cant say enough about this place. The owner is super great, gave us a tour and explained the whole process to us. I am not usually a fan of corn whiskey, but this changed it for me. I think their product is what corn whiskey is supposed to taste like! Definitely give them a try!

Super cool place. The indoor lounge has a great atmosphere with beautiful art work. The outdoor space has the best misters on earth and a lot of shaded areas. There are games for for all ages. The whiskey is really good and they make excellent Old Fashionds. I highly recommend you check it out and bring some friends! P
