Behind the counter where the food is made is extremely dirty. The kitchen needs a detailed cleaning. The food even looks like it needs to be cleaned. I got the Bulgogi bowl for $13 for me and my daughter and brought it back expeditiously. Instead of food, this is more like slop. Close this establishment down!

i meannn the food is good. but every time ive ordered something with a fried egg they always overcook it until its rubbery and gross and the yolk is completely solid, even when i ask for the yolk to be runny. i gave up after like 3 times and just get the fried dumplings when my friends want to go there

I dont live anywhere near a K-Bop, so when I saw there was one in San Marcos, I was excited to go during my visit. I ordered Beef Bulgogi for there and Chicken Teriyaki and vegetable spring rolls for later. The Beef Bulgogi was good, Spring Rolls were not cooked thoroughly and when I got home I found out the Chicken Teriyaki was not Chicken Teriyaki. It was something else that had fish cakes and Ramen. Could not eat it. Not happy with the experience at all.

Sunday August 18 I came into the restaurant and placed an order for my family. 4 meals and 2 appetizers. I was then told that they are out of the some of the meals I ordered. Ok no problem, refund me my money. I was then told they don t know how to refund orders?? Wow, not acceptable. Additionally to top it all off, the orders that I did receive, the #2 need bulgogi bowl, they are out of the ingredients to make that too! They made some other weird variation, with lots of sauce, no vegetables, both noodles and rice. They made a totally different order. They did not have any chicken for the chicken teriyaki order I ordered. Someone in my family cannot eat beef. All this considered I had no other option of what to order and they did not refund me my money, this is crazy, this is not how you do business. I NEED my money back. Asap. Unacceptable seriously, I will look into further action if this is not resolved.

I thought I wrote this review. Showed up at 7:00 p.m.. ordered the number one. There was a handful of raw spinach on it. The picture does not show it comes with raw spinach so I was confused.. I took it off and it was half full with lukewarm food. The only hot thing was the egg. The service was Nice. But $17 for a tea and a half a bowl of lukewarm food and dry chicken. . Will not be back. Which is sad because I have heard great things.

I got the BBimbap and the some of the vegetables like mushrooms were cold like they got them out of the fridge and the worse part was they forgot to add the spicy red sauce. I ve never had that happen with a BBimbap, that s fully I told the staff and they got me the sauce. Price was reasonable.

Absolutely amazing spicy chicken bulgolgi. I wish I could rate higher than a 10/10. Flavorful, juicy, perfect sauce/meat/rice/veggie ratio. I will be dreaming about this bowl. Haha Drank peach water, which is a soft peach flavor - don t order the peach water if you like a gallon of sugar in your tea. I loooove peach water, but definitely not for everyone. The fried dumplings were good, but not anything impressive or crave worthy. Definitely coming back for the bulgogi and peach water. Took one star off atmosphere because the seats are sticky.

Top notch service w a smile and much politeness. I had forgotten my order and asked them to correct it. She double checked the receipt and I was served correctly. Even though I was wrong and apologized. She offered to make the kimbap I thought ordered. Thank you to this lady at 3 pm June 27, 2024. Both employees were excellent! I will frequent this establishment and you should too! Parking: Nice shaded street parking or back parking lot! Kid-friendliness: Any age!

I stopped into K-BOP this afternoon, in need of a snack. I ordered the House Kimbop with Tofu and an unsweetened Coconut Milk Tea with Boba. The kimbop was fantastic so flavorful and had many different textures. Plus, I d ordered it to go, and it came cut in in thin slices, wrapped in foil (think corn on the cob). Perfect for eating on the go! The service was awesome, too kind and efficient. I can t wait to go back for more.

Ive ordered from this restaurant several times and always enjoyed their food. However, during my last visit I was quite disappointed. I typically order 1 Spicy Chicken Bulgogi Bowl, 3 Bulgogi Kimbop, and 2 boba teas, so I know what to expect in terms of taste and presentation. Unfortunately, the Spicy Chicken Bulgogi Bowl lacked flavor, though I managed to finish it. The kimbop was a different story; they fell apart as soon as I opened the foil wrapper and seemed like they had been made ages ago.

A friend turned me onto this spot a few years ago in Austin so when I found out they had a location in San Marcos I was glad to be able to eat here more often! Friendly staff and great food whats not to love Parking: Its near the downtown area so its busy or traffic then might be slightly difficult or you may need to park down the block

I get the tofu teriyaki bowl every time I go because it s a solid vegan option. I like the variety of boba teas too! My boyfriend often wants to eat here when he visits so I ve gone a couple times now and enjoy the food every time! Employees are nice too.

This place isn t the same anymore. They used to be good, but now they aren t and my friends suspect it s because they have Indian people working there now whereas before there was a diverse community working at kbop. My food always seems rushed out and it s either dry or soggy and I really enjoyed this place my first few years in college, but it s not good anymore.

First time that I visited KBop. When I parked I called and was informed that they had gone through a new system and it offered a Curbside option. The employee told me that they didnt really do Curbside which is understandable with the limited parking space. That was really the only inconvenience. The overall atmosphere was chill and relaxing. It looked like a slow night, but it took a few minutes before someone noticed I was waiting. Food was ready and it was pretty okay. Paying an average of $10-$13 for the Kimbap rolls is a little high. I felt like the serving size compared to the cost isnt comparable. Havent tried the bowls yet so that opinion could differ.

i agree with recent review regarding quality. i am very confused what happened for this change to have occurred. as a huge fan of beef bulgogi, i have to say the bowl is simply not the same. i was craving the taste i am familiar with from kbop but instead i have beef mince with soy sauce flavor. it is not bad tasting necessarily but it is very disappointing to expect one thing and get something else. kbop please explain what s going on and go back to the original recipe!

I ordered the Dduk Boki. It was truly awful. The sauce/broth was SO salty, and was too salty to eat. I took three bites and felt sick. The dumplings I ordered were dry and the chicken inside was gray. I wasted almost $50. Would not recommend.

Really disappointed. Kbop was my go to spot for a beef bulgogi bowl, Im not sure what changed but the quality was bad when I ordered this weekend. The meat was small ground bits not the normal cut. Normally it has shredded cabbage and carrots, I got clumps of hard cabbage. Not sure if owner changed or they need to retrain the cook? I love this place but if my favorite dish is going to be that bad no point in ordering again.

I have been twice now and both times, were a very similar experience. The food was amazing and well-priced, however, some of the employees can be very rude. Such is the nature of hiring employees in a college town. I will definitely be back though (possibly even today) and recommend to anyone considering trying this place. The Japchae had a perfect balance of flavor and will be my go-to! Edit 12-28-23 I usually enjoy the japchae here but have been very disappointed the last 2 times. it was almost entirely onion and hardly any noodles. Plus, the portion was really small this last time. I will probably reconsider coming here as often since there are a lot of places to choose from in San Mo

As a Korean person I just cant put 5 stars. Unfortunately staff needs to get trained on what Korean food and flavors are. I got my kimpap the tuna was not completely dried off from all the liquid. The rice was more close to porridge. Rice needs a specific consistency for kimpap. In my case it was not justifiable to pay $10 for this kimpap. They also need to learn how to roll it nice and tug so the pieces do not fall apart fast. I got also chicken bowl. None of the flavors were Korean. I had only couple pieces and gave to my dogs. I also got milk tea and it was good. No complaints there. I think some training will help and also maybe they need a good Korean chef to give it. I will be happy to give another try if you guys improve. Until then I cant recommend it to any of my community who always ask about where to get Korean food in the area.

It should be written as kimchi stew and read as budae stew. Its a taste. Kimchi stew and ramen noodles Speaking of ham Rice cake I added too much red pepper paste and it was too salty. The kimbap had a basic Korean taste. Im Korean, so I put red pepper paste in my bibimbap, but it would be better if it was served separately considering my taste for red pepper paste. The food was amazing!! Definitely going to keep coming back to get lunch and dinner! The restaurant was super cute and had a great atmosphere, going to plan a time to come back with my friends! The menu has lots of varied options for people with all kinds of different tastes and a big drink menu! I cant wait to try as many of their items as possible! Ordering was super easy, my friend placed an online order and I ordered in store, no issues on either end. You have the option to order with a person or to just use a screen (my preference w/ anxiety!). The food came out quick and the staff was nice :) overall, great experience!

The spicy chicken bulgogi bowl was delicious. If you dont like spice you will regret this one. There are a lot of spices and there is heat. I enjoyed the flavors and would get it again. I ordered the kimchi stew. The menu said tuna and seaweed flakes which were neither present. The description also says sausage which turned out to be chopped hot dogs. There was only two pieces cabbage and two pieces of onion. My photo is misleading because the stew was primarily broth. I had to go buy another lunch elsewhere to feel satisfied. For the same price at a traditional Korean restaurant I would have gotten twice as much substance in the stew plus sides. To top everything else off, it took 10 minutes to be served and I was the only person there.

My partner and I had the chicken katsu bowl and Beef Bulgogi Soup. Issues: My Beef soup had No noodles when its supposed to come with it and for some reason theres zucchini. I wouldnt have ordered it since my partner is allergic to zucchini. The Chicken Katsu was rather soft like it wasnt made to order, the veggies were still crunchy in a raw way and some how the broccoli was yellowing. I came here twice before and had great experiences but this was just upsetting.

Ordered on uber. Paid extra for a drink with no ice and boba. No boba, cup wasnt even filled all the way. Ordered chicken katsu bowl and the quality was down right embarrassing. An amazing place for authentic Korean food experience. The place is spacious and well decorated. One of the best things about the place is the manager/owner of the place. He is very polite , friendly, and cheerful. One time after I ordered boba milk tea, they ran out of boba. The owner apologised and gave us free food to make it up. Delicious and authentic Korean food, well worth the price with a great variety of choices. The Bulgogi is very flavorful and rich in taste and the soup broth is delicious and not too salty. The Boba and Milk teas are brewed fresh and taste excellent. The owner is incredibly kind and aware and made sure we were doing well and satisfied. Highly recommend this place!

Update to my review: still love this place but every time Ive gone back the quality goes down just a little bit more each time. I constantly have to send my bulgogi bowl back because staff keeps overcooking the egg that tops the bowl. It is supposed to be a runny yolk. Thats literally part of the experience, popping the runny yolk on top of the bowl. The portions have also gotten smaller. Will continue to give this place a chance but the staff needs retraining to ensure quality of food. Original Review: I had the Bulgogi Bowl yesterday....and Im still thinking about it today!! Literally heaven in my mouth. This place is so delicious!!

Ordering takeout from K-Bop was a decision I will never regret! I got the Kimchi Jiggae, Beef Bulgogi Roll, and Fried Chicken Dumplings. It s very hard to find quality Kimchi Jiggae. The one I received was amazing! Very flavorful, sweet, spicy, savory, and above all, delicious! Their rolls and dumplings are great as well! Highly recommend to anyone who wants a taste of quality Korean cuisine. I will definitely be back again to sample some more of their decadent dishes!

My friend and I were looking for something new to try in San Marcos. We wanted to try something out of our typical comfort zone and we stumbled upon K-BOP! The owner was super nice and check on us twice to ask how are food was and if we needed anything. The food was delicious, and the portions are very very filling enough to share honestly! We ended up getting full and taking it home would 10/10 recommend checking them out!

Wow this was terrible. If you want boba do NOT order bubble tea. Bubble should come with boba in it already... paid so much for regular tea when I could have gotten the same WITH boba at a boba shop for the same price or less. Food was mediocre at best. Asked for extra sauce and got NO SAUCE. The only thing good abt this place was the potstickers. Expensive less than mediocre food.

Passed through the city and im glad I ate at this place. The atmosphere is clean and trendy and the Employees are nice and funny. They have some good drinks but you get tired of them occasionally thankfully they have many flavors theyve even gave my son an orange juice for free whenever our drinks were taking a long time the drinks usually do take a good 5-10 minutes to get out too sometimes longer even if there isnt any other customers in store the last time we went there I sent my boyfriend inside to get the same this that I always got and it was $6.60 he said instead of $5 like I normally got charged so I dont know of they changed the price or If they thought they could get away with pocketing some extra money since he is a little slower by taking advantage of him

I really love the food here and was so happy when they opened one in San Marcos. The guy (miko or niko I think) is consistently the best employee working. He works in the back but is always the only person to help me. I would give it 5 stars if the ladies working up front were ever genuinely nice or helpful... I ve been at least 10 times and never had a good experience with front of house employees.

I only recently learned about this place, but it is a go-to for me now. The staff work quickly & are generally nice. The food tastes great! The rice tastes amazing for some reason & the eggs are always perfectly cooked. Odd things to harp on, but it always impresses me. I always suggest k-bop to my friends & now I hope the people who read this go too.
