On 9/2/24 at 12:45 my family and I arrive to IHOP in San Marcos Texas, We sat and ordered our order but it never came it took them 2 and half hrs to do so, mean while every person around us didnt attend as much but definitely more than we ever s Got any service. Very gross attitude. They didnt bother to give us at least a drink or anything so unprofessional and the attitude of the employees is disgusting! And So very disrespectful. Definitely need to consider who is being hired there because they have so many horrible miserable workers.

Its now been some time (since its opening).. the store has calmed down, and it now seems like theyve gained new management (Bri). Im impressed with how often this IHOP stays on point, unlike most it manages its employees well and keeps the store front and bathrooms relatively clean.. The new management seems to be doing fantastic at dealing with all demands. I implore you to take a second. Especially on this rainy week. Good luck, guys.

Overpriced, unsanitary waitress was cleaning and bringing food and drinks out without washing hands. Overpriced because with kids meals somehow still managed to get over $60? Anyways when the food came out we were missing food, was told the people in the back can t read the ticket right. We did get the food but after we were all done. No sorry, no comp, just it s their fault. Maybe breakfast/lunch time has higher quality employees? We came because the reviews were good so I recommend going for breakfast or maybe lunch seems like people had better experiences then.

Food was great! Bathrooms were gross. Im not sure if it was poop stuck or tile mortar, but it looked nasty. Table was sticky, not clean. Our server was kind and got our order correct. However, he got wet paper towels to clean our table... not sanitary at all. The people were nice, but there was one person that had long hot pink fingernails and bleached blonde hair that creeped us out big time with the way he talked to our infant and wagged his nails in my babys face. My baby just stared at him, nearly ready to cry. It is very unsanitary to have long painted nails in the food industry and shouldnt be allowed. By the way, I can care less that it was a man trying to act like a female with long pink nails... Im not a homophobe. The issue I had was he was very creepy with my infant. When I worked in the food industry, long acrylic hot pink painted nails were a no go! Maybe clear pink, or more clear would be acceptable. We may try to find a different IHOP to avoid the creeper. Vegetarian options: I LOVE the veggie omelet! Perfection! Delicious mushroom/spinach/ creamy cheese... good macros/protein/fats

It was coffee time with a friend in mid afternoon. Lots of coffee and water. And a little bit of food. was prior to dinner time so only a few patrons. waitress was great. Patient , friendly. Extremely disappointed with the quality and the quantity of the dinner entrees. Are the evening cooks still in training? I love ihop. I ve worked at a couple locations. This location may be newer but the service is sometimes lacking. The last time I was here my family walked out after sitting for 20 minutes waiting for drinks. This time, the server did not introduce herself so I don t know her name. 3/4 of our plates had mistakes (no chocolate chips in the happy face pancakes, grilled chicken instead of crispy on the classic chicken sandwich, tomatoes when I asked for no tomatoes). I have small kids and asked for fruit to keep them entertained until the food came out.. it was added to my bill but I had to remind my server I needed it. I asked for a side salad and my food came out and I had to remind the waitress. We had to ask for refills, we only received two silverware when there were four of us. Overall, the waitress was just inattentive and not very intuitive. When you pay $60 for a meal (and that s with kids eating free) it s irritating to have bad service.

Gluten friendly pancakes were not fluffy at all, very thin. The food and service were great! I went in for a late lunch around 2:45 and there was a gentleman that felt like he had been ignored when the server didn t seat him quick enough. (She had just brought our food and was making sure we had everything we needed) He became very rude and called the servers and manager rude names and made comments judging their looks. I couldn t hear everything but from what I saw the manager (I think her name was Liz??) was very professional and tolerant but there was just no calming this guy down. We will definitely be back and despite the rude customer we enjoyed our experience!

My daughter and I stopped in for a quick bite, and this is by far the best ihop I ve ever eaten at. The waitress was quick and attentive, and really gave us a 5 star service. Amber quickly gave us our drinks, and was super friendly with daughter. She helped her get a kids menu, hook up to the free WiFi, and even tried to suggest healthier suggests instead of things full of sugar. The manager seemed to really have a handle on things there. Tables were clean and bussed instantly, everyone was receiving their food in a timely manner, I had always stayed away from ihops in the past due to the stigma that I ve always heard but this has completely changed my mind about the franchise. We will definitely be back! We did see a gentlemen start yelling and taking photos of the staff out of nowhere, saying that he did not get service fast enough, but to me he just seemed entitled and a true Karen. Keep up the great work, and don t let people like this get you down! His actions were completely blown out of proportion and this store doesn t deserve to be docked for someone s selfishness when it s doing such a great job!

All Hispanic customers were seated at the back of the restaurant. They were separated from the white people in the front tables. I did address it with the waitress. She seemed embarrassed because it was very obvious that it was all white customers in the front and there were many empty tables yet they sat all Hispanics in the back together. Picked up an order and while it wasnt ready (I think they totally forgot about the order), the woman who was the host was very nice and friendly and I could tell she actually cared that my order wasnt ready on time. We should of left as soon as we got there. The restaurant smelled like if it had sewer problems. My daughter ordered the berry crepes and they were rubbery. My son in law ordered the bacon cheese burger and they forgot the bacon. The waitress acted like she was in a rush. Which made us feel rushed. Went to try this Ihop as it sits between NB and San Marcos and was hoping to miss the midnite rush. Restraunt did have more customers that I anticipated but was what I was hoping to find. We ordered the Breakfast Sampler, Hamburger Plate and a BLT Plate. Everything came out quickly and cooked perfectly. Parking: Parking does not appear to be a problem the 2 times I have visited this establishment. It also doesnt seem to be a problem as I drive by this establishment every day on the way to work. Our server was wonderful! She helped us get the right food when we got something we hadn t ordered and she had a great attitude! However, it did take almost 40 minutes to get our food, and by the time we got it it was cold and soggy. My omelette was over salted and the oil had congealed already, which made it inedible. It s sad, because we used to really enjoy iHOP before but after today, I think we ll explore other options in the area.

Im so disappointed! My friends and I used to come every week (sometimes 2 or 3 times) after our shift at Outback. We loved coming in and hanging with Bree (our forever favorite server) and was sad to find that her schedule changed! Pancakes just taste better at 3am sitting in her section. They were very shorthanded and the waitress was the only one there; she had about 15 tables when we arrived but she still managed to give awesome service!
