Wonderful place! Super fresh and first class food, very clean and pleasant place and with the excellent attention to the table from a Mexican gentleman who is simply up to this moment the most professional that I have been able to observe in my life, gentle, attentive and professional, without more words What to write... the best buffet restaurant I have visited to date! So me and my family came here for a nice buffet and when we got here we thought it was a normal buffet but no here had very nice and lovely workers working and the cost wasnt bad like golden corral pretty cheap and when we saw the food it was cooked just right and fresh and juicy all the noodles the chicken and more with the dessert fresh and nice and the ice cream machine works and they have fried chicken it was so good crispy and juicy and when we were about to a worker gave my baby brother a lollipop and gave us fortune cookies and we liked that so much this place is 5 out of 5

Waiter was very rude. They told us to sit wherever we wanted and we did and they ended up not giving us our sodas because we sat in the wrong place after being told to sit wherever we wanted. And they made us move in order to get our drinks after already having our food and eating already . Very unprofessional that was not necessary. If we were sitting already they should have let us stay there. I didnt even want to be here anymore but I had paid already and sadly had to stay. If I could give this place no stars I would but I had to pick 1. I forgot how outdated this was was I dont even know why I came here. Theres mold on top of the lights where the food is under and its dirty, the restrooms are disgusting. My mistake was even walking in here to begin with knowing all this. I just thought Id give it another chance but NOPE that was a mistake. And lets not forget to add how ppl sat down in the same place we did first after we got up and they attended them like they should have with us!! Ruined my mom and son date!!

This place is horrible. $50 for party of 3. Waiter nowhere to be found. We got up 3 times asking for refills. Guy with glasses at the front doesn t care and is lazy. You know I pulled up and saw 3 cars if that. I should ve gone to Panda Express. Well of course my experience wasn t the greatest. Just makes sense why this place is dead and eventually will close at this rate. Stay away!!

I love this place! Me and my husband ordered out from here and we were beyond impressed by the quality and the quantity of the food. It was delicious and at a remarkable price at that. We are new to the San Marcos area and this is now my favorite Chinese restaurant I don t think I ll be going elsewhere! Great job Taste Of China!!

From what I heard this was an excellent buffet at one time. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was quiet, like hear your neighbors quiet. The noodle were good. I tried a nibble or bite of most items. The noodles and the sugar coated bread were palatable. The rest was rough. The drinks were rough as well. For benefit of the doubt, maybe a water supply issue effecting all the food... but then the noodles should of been the worst... so? Do not recommend.

Lots of hate coming from people who expect this to be some fancy out of this world buffet. It is NOT a fancy buffet for your booyie wanna be palads. Want a fancy buffet where you pay x3 or x5 more, then head over to San Antonio or Austin. It is a LOCAL BUFFET, and for $12, you can CRUSH as much as you want with no hold ups. Whereas, at ANY other fast food place, you cant even get a full meal for under $15. Good enough variety where youd try everything at least once. Or maybe you just want to stuff yourself with general tso chicken or bbq ribs, or lo mein consistently. Owners are cool, I get to practice my broken down Mandarin, and the servers are super attentive to your drinks and needs. The atmosphere is calm with a hint of Asian decorations. My brother and I, after a hard day of training, we choose this spot for our cheat day meals, as previously posted of other buffets, we DEMOLISH their menu. Again, its not fancy, but its way better than any other place out there. If youre on a tight budget, hands down, THIS IS your to go to.

This places is a NO GO for us. We went once. Service was just ok, but nothing negative. Just lackluster. The food was at the absolute bottom end of any Chinese buffets I have ever had. It was just the usual frozen reheated or bland options. Options were limited and boring. The restrooms were worse than any gas station I have had the displeasure of ever using. Smelly and just water everwhere. My young daughters let me know that all of the toilets were plugged in the girls room and seats were wet and yellow. Went only once - will never go back. Coming into town and wanted to try something new . I should ve went with the reviews and passed this place up. When you first get out of your car it stinks so bad going into this restaurant. Floors are dirty and so is the restroom. Front desk gentleman is very rude. They make you pay before you eat and when I grabbed my first plate of food and sat down I realized there was a dead fly in my orange chicken and rice. I stood up didn t eat anything and just left. My husband and I ate dinner there. For the price we paid ($34) I would say it was absolutely not worth it. When we walked in we waited for the guy sitting at the counter to get off of his phone long enough to notice we were standing right there. The food tasted like it had been sitting there all day. And the general Taos chicken? What chicken? It was just chunks of fried bread and the sauce on it was sweet and kinda gross. Being pregnant and craving Chinese buffet, I was so disappointed. My stomach even started to hurt on the way home. And the entire time we were there, the AC was making a really loud squealing sound, I couldn t even hear my husband talking to me. Definitely will not be driving 20+ minutes from our house for this place ever again. Also they have signs posted by the food that say please do not waste food, there may be an extra charge for food waste . If they re charging people for expecting decent food and getting served that garbage, that s just absolutely wrong.

The WORST buffet! A one-star rating is the best this place deserves. Poor quality, horrible preparation, and terrible selection makes for the recipe of garbage this place serves on the buffet! I found absolutely nothing worth spending money on and even if they paid me, I still would not eat it! The Hispanic waiter is very rude, my Mom asked him kindly to change our cups, and she tried to help by barely stepping into the tea station, and the waiter rudely told her to step out, when my Mom told him not to raise his voice, he run us out of the restaurant like if he owns it, but this is not the first time he is that way, the Asian waiter is nice, and he witnessed the whole thing, I hope other customers report him as well, and the owners are aware of his behavior if they read this.

This place was horrible, very filthy and not one dish was fresh. It literally looked like the food was days old and had been reheated. When I brought to their attention they brought out a fresher looking item to replace the old one but in a few minutes so that simply showed it was another reheated dish because it was still cold. My family and I will never return and we advise you to never try this place out. Disgusting! Read reviews before taking a chance coming here. Disappointed the selection was minimal. The crawfish and prawns was my attraction only to be disappointed that the crawfish tray was nearly empty. As I sit here almost an hour after arriving, the tray is STILL EMPTY! Rewind; FYI: pre-pay at arrival! I should ve asked to review the buffer before deciding to dine!!! I won t go into detail about the sanitary cleanliness of the dining and restroom. I sat within view of the door Employees Only and well, read previous reviews - not much of an improvement. There was no such thing as Super Buffet it was a lame place to eat. The food seemed to be on the buffet trays for hours & has seen better days. The price for the food offered is not worth it. This has been the worst Chinese food buffet Ive ever been to.

Unclean establishment with bugs in food and table! We arrived and were sat down. I did see a small bug on the table that first thought was a nats the waiter came and cleaned the table off. I grabbed my plate last as I was on a work call. I served myself a plate and a soup. I took a bite into the sesame chicken and it tasted foul, not like your usual sesame chicken. I told my family the food tasted weird, even the noodles and that I was only going to eat the soup. As I got the first spoonful of soup I look closely because something black was in there and I find a small dead bug in it. Mind you my husband and kids had already started eating before me we were in there total of maybe 15 minutes. As we are getting up to go ask for refund we see more of these small bugs start crawling on the table. I immediately show the bug I found in the soup to manager and tell him about bugs on table and ask for my money back. They had the audacity to not refund me all of the plates because my husband had already started eating nor did they refund me the drink he had not yet drank. The city inspector should really take a look at that restaurant and its unclean practices. Stay Away!!!

The place looks nice inside, but the food is very expensive and very ugly, in addition to the fact that there is almost no variety, the buffet is very poor, I do not recommend it at all. They dont have your money. One of my children wanted to eat better Whataburger and we didnt listen to him. When we tried the food, it would have been better if we had listened to my son, and we would have eaten better

The place is not recommended at all. I came to eat with my grandparents here and the food was not great at all. The price is super high for a lack of effort. No variety of options, unsanitary restrooms. Poor systems overall. Do not come here, It s a waste of your money.

Went with my sister and mother. The lady that was sitting a couple of tables behind us had two kids. They kept going into the Buffay and grabbing stuff with their hands, and the little boy used when the serving spoons to grab pudding with the spoon and grab the pudding off of the serving spoon with his hands and lick it, what was more disgusting is the the mother went to go get the kids to go sit down but before that grab something off of the Buffay with her own hands thought she was a customer until she went behind the desk and grabbed her bag to leave

We have been here quite a few times. It s nice to give everyone different opinions at a buffet so this is a nice place for everyone. We don t always have the best or most attentive server but today was totally different! We had the absolute, greatest server! He was so attentive to every table he had and made this visit so worth it! I feel terrible for not remembering his name but I hope that next time we go there he will be there again because I would go back for him.

I dont know who told them this was a super buffet, but it is far from super. This is the worst chinese buffet we have ever been to. There is nothing on the buffet. 1 small serving table of desserts. 1 small table of salad stuff. 2 small serving tables of 16 choices. Well, 15 because the beef with broccoli and pepper steak taste the exact same. The meat looks like its been boiled. Everything but the coconut shrimp was bland. Either you cant eat it because its hard like its been sitting or reheated too many times or just has a funky taste. The spring roll was more like a winter roll since it tasted like it had frost bite. This is not a chinese buffet by any means. Go some place else for better food. When you pull up to a Chinese buffet and all you see in the parking lot are the employee cars you should already know. We should have listened to the recent reviews. No fortune in the two fortune cookies we had. Theres your sign!

The reason I go to places like this is because I love seafood and I enjoy the ALL YOU CAN EAT aspect when it comes to crab legs, shrimp oysters, etc. However, this place is NOT all you can eat. If the owner sees a person filling their plate with oysters or crayfish with an amount that is not acceptable to them, they remove the items from the buffet until you leave. I am not kidding. I enjoy oysters so I filled my plate with oysters. As I walked to the buffet for another plate, the owner quickly walked in front of me and filled up a plate with EVERY oyster, removed it from the buffet and took it to the back so I could not eat any more oysters for the rest of the time I was there. They use the oysters and crayfish and crab legs to get people to come in their restaurant, but they dont want people Actually eating them. This is absurd. If you are going to have an all you can eat buffet then you need to let people eat all they can eat. I will never go back to this place again.

We came in for lunch around 12PM and were seated right away. The server is very friendly and attentive, unfortunately we already paid for the buffet tickets at entrance so we cant adjust the tip but hes such a great guy. There isnt a lot of dish variety but its expected since this is just a town-sized buffet place. However, their stir fry clam is so so good, probably the best I have had so in any buffet places Ive been. They also have crawfishes! Not very well seasoned but the meat is fresh and I didnt have any bad mushy ones. Overall, a really nice place to stop by for lunch if youre visiting San Marcos : )
