Disappointing Customer Service - Won t Be Returning As a local resident, I had high expectations for Torchy s Tacos, but unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. When I arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, yet I received no assistance upon entering. I had to walk over to the bar just to be referred back to the front counter with still no help. After standing there waiting, a staff member finally approached me only to tell me someone would be with me shortly. I waited another 30 minutes before anyone bothered to assist me. I stuck around hoping to see some semblance of customer care, but it never came. This level of service is unacceptable, especially when the restaurant isn t even busy. A truly frustrating and disappointing visit. Bad day for Torchy s won t be returning anytime soon.

This Torchys franchise has a lot it can improve on. They are college kid run, so stuff is sort of half assed. They never, ever, have ice. Ive been here half a dozen times and theyre consistently out of ice for some reason. Often theyre missing straws. Utensils. Other basic things which can be checked by employees as they make their rounds. Quality is all over the board and often Ive had bizarre interactions trying to order. Its babys first job in college and there needs to be some extra training often with servers to understand basic restaurant functions. Very weird. If you go in expecting a torchys experience like youd find in other parts of the state you will be disappointed.

First, I am very disappointed that the ace of spades has been removed from the menu. That is my favorite taco, and for me, with all the taco places I can go for tacos, that was the main thing that brought me to Torchys, because there was no other taco like it to compare with, and I hope that yall will bring it back. I can get fajitas elsewhere, I can get creative tacos elsewhere, but no other place had a taco that could compare in my opinion to the ace of spades. Second, I expressed this disappointment to a manager named Nissa at your restaurant in San Marcos, and she was amazing. She educated me why the ace of spades was removed, she recommended I reach out and fill this report out, and in the same moment she validated my thoughts about the matter, but she educated me why yall made the decision that you did. I have had several interactions with her at this store, and she is always attentive to her job and the customers, she works hard, and she cares. You found an amazing employee in her, and I think a worse idea than removing the ace of spades from the menu would be to lose her as one of your employees. Losing the ace of spades gives me a desire to find tacos elsewhere, but interacting with Nissa draws me back to Torchys. I hope your business does continue to do well, because I have been a fan for years, and I feel like Torchyss is a must try place for anyone. Knowing your start in Austin as a food truck and building into the franchise you are today is incredible, and I hope it continues.

This restaurant was highly recommended. For some shrimp tacos very good, the fajita chicken tacos are very delicious, I recommend them, the shrimp ones are also very good with their sauces. It also has like a small bar in case you like, know. Of course they are a little expensive but its worth it . The employees are very respectful and friendly. And of course I return to eat there.

I ve only been here a couple times but each time I ve gone I ve been so delighted with the food. This last time I went I was immediately greeted by the nicest staff and felt really looked after. Nissa the hospitality manager was so kind and helpful making sure we had everything we needed, and the entire staff just seemed like they worked in a calm and harmonious environment.

I always enjoy the food and today it was just as good as expected. I love Mr Orange and Trashy Trailer Park. My husband tried the Fajita Plate (make your own damn tacos) for the first time and it came with food a-plenty. I also tried a Mexican Candy Margarita, but didnt care for the amount of Tabasco in it. Still glad that full bar is available and Ill stick to a more traditional rita next time. Parking: Street parking may be limited, but there is a back lot with more room.

Ive been coming to San Marcos Torchys for years and always have great customer service and feel like this time I should write about it. Ashanti is a great bartender and waitress! I loved her suggestions of food and love her personality! The food was so good!! After we finished they took our empty trays but willing to wait until finished without feeling hurried. Nissa the manager came by and checked to make sure our experience was good and extremely helpful every time I have been coming here. The restaurant is always clean and the food is always good

We LOVE this place! We came in last weekend and has the BEST beef fajita ever so we came back again today and it was even better!!
