First time here! As we ordered we asked if we could have wings well done and was told they don t do that here. Very odd for a wing place to state they don t do this. Seriously?? After waiting a bit for the wings, I got excited about all the hot options for flavors and asked if it was possible to get the hottest flavor on the side.. and the same Mexican female behind the counter stated they don t do this as well.. haha. But the white fellow cooking made a comment to me that he could put some hangry sauce and she quickly looked at him and said No, they will have to purchase a whole other order and get that flavor on all the wings. Honestly? The weirdest and most uncomfortable situation. Definitely tarnished my taste for this place.. and haven t even ate the food yet. No matter how good the food could possibly be, the service was unwelcoming and shady.

I wanted to like this but I left feeling disappointed. Staff didnt really have much customer service. It took quite a while for our food to come out and when it did we could barely hear them calling our number. The food was EXPENSIVE for what you get. My 4 piece chicken tenders looked like they cut 2 tenders in half to make 4 very small pieces. The chicken was barely breaded and not crispy at all. Very small portion of fries on the side for the combo that is $16.

I will never eat at this establishment again. The gentleman in the back touching everyone s food with no gloves came out after our food was served licked each one of his fingers as if he was eating food in the back, he returned touch the trash can door by the sodas and then went back and started cooking and touching other people s food and NEVER washed his hands. Then we are trying to eat and a roach was crawling on the wall!!! Absolutely disgusting and really disappointing!!! I couldn t even finish my food after this $100 down the drain!!!

This isnt even real hot chicken. Its also not even hot. Twice ive been warned about the spice of the hot by cashiers and had them try to talk me into the medium. Both times i insisted i wanted the hot and both times was disapointed and very unimpressed with the heat level. Real hot chicken is coated in a chili sauce. These guys just throw some sort of chili powder on the chicken. It tastes like Chicken Express with a little chili powder on it. Id say that a spicy McChicken may actually be comprable to Hangry Joes hot spice level.

First time visiting Hangry Joes. We were looking for a chicken restaurant and we found it by chance. Im so glad we did. We ordered online for pickup. Fyi, when we ordered, the website said it was a 45-minute wait time, but it was actually ready in 15 minutes. Overall, its very good chicken. The food was very fresh even though we picked up the order and drove 10 minutes to our sons apartment. We will definitely return! Fyi, spice Level range from mild to extremely hot: 1. No Seasoning 2. No Heat 3. Mild 4. Medium 5. Hot (This is what we got) 6. Angry Hot (waiver needed)

As me and my boyfriend debated on the dining adventure we were going to take today, we remembered our coupons for Hangry Joes. Ordering system is a little silly, service slightly slow. Combo meal is $15-$16. The Sando JR is plenty food. Medium heat is what I got. Perfect in between! The waffle fries don t seem in house but they are still delicious. Sandwiches are huge!! Fried okra delicious. Their sauce is so good, ranch is also delicious. Overall delicious food and worth giving it a try if you re looking for something that isn t CFA, Popeyes, etc

We planned on going to pluckers but it was SO packed. We drove around downtown to see where else to get wings. We happened to pass by this place. Let me tell you..... Pluckers who? The wings are crispy and tender. Out of the options of sauces I got Soy Garlic and Buffalo. So much flavor on the Soy Garlic! And the Buffalo has just enough heat and not overpowering. Waffle fries are crispy and golden brown. The coleslaw has a sweet flavor to it. Its a bit different from what I am used to but I really enjoyed it. I would get it again. The developer stop at our table and asked how was everything. He told us to try the chicken sandwich next time. It was the best item on the menu. So i took one home He mentioned they just signed a lease in Kyle. So excited because we live in Kyle! I cant wait! Over all, I can honestly say Hangry Joes is on my top 5 list for chicken/wings.

Had the original chicken sandwich with fries and a fountain drink, came out to over $16. Presentation is nice but the chicken just tasted like extra salty lawry s seasoning, and the slaw on it just tasted like watery mayonnaise. The fries were also doused in the super salty lawry s seasoning. Lots of flavor, just not good flavor. Took 3 bites and left. There s certainly better chicken sandwiches throughout the town of San Marcos at more affordable prices. Being large and Instagram-worthy doesn t make up for overloading it with salt and boring flavor.

The service here is great. The new manager is awesome, we walked in on a slower evening and they went above and beyond to take care of us. This food is NOT GOOD. I was craving a good spicy chicken buffalo sandwich..... they DRENCH ur food is there secret sauce which is sweet so it eliminates any spiciness. The worker was rude and not friendly. I picked my food up and asked for ranch after I had already checked out and she said its a dollar..... I went to the counter and charged my card for one dollar and then they gave me a half full 1oz cup...... The food was also VERY expensive especially for the quality. will never ever go back there

First time here and everything was delicious!! I love how the chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with every bite you take! I got the mac and cheese chicken bites and I was going to pick the spicy flavor with it but I was recommend the mild instead because the spicy did have a kick to it. I m glad I chose the mild because after a few bites it does tend to get spicy. Also! Their strawberry shake is DELICIOUS!! A must try!! It tastes homemade! Yumm!! I can t wait to come back! I wish they had a location in Seguin, but I will deff be taking more trips out here for this place. It is def worth it! I wish I had taken some pictures but it looked so good I just wanted to dig in

This review is not about the food (which is great) but about the poor behavior of the manager or owner. I recently went there to get sandwiches for their Fathers Day deal, which was buy one sandwich and get the other free. When I arrived and inquired about the deal, the manager (bald guy with calf tattoos) responded with complete snarkiness and a nasty attitude, saying it s in-store only and its on all the emails. I wasn t arguing about getting the deal; I simply asked if that was indeed the deal. Whether this person is the owner or just the manager, he certainly does not need to be anywhere near customers.

To begin, my experience started off poorly because of the employee that took my order. She was not friendly and was quite rude. I feel that the food was fine but not great especially for the prices. A side of ranch was $1 and it came in a 1 ounce saucer that was not even full. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in my experience and I don t mind paying for ranch but $1 for the amount you were given was disappointing and frustrating.

Food was pretty good. I got the chicken tender basket, started eating it and realized that it wasn t spicy at all and noticed that I was given mild tenders instead of the hot flavor that I ordered. Our family LOVES Hangry Joes chicken!! Our Grandson loves the medium heat Santo sandwich, my husband loves the no-heat chicken fingers, and I alternate between the Korean nuggets & the no-heat wings. With all due respect i think that the front cashier needs some more training due to the way my order was taken and when i was about to pay she smacked my hand out of the way of the pad because she messed up on pricing. My order took 37 mins, at minute 32 i told one of the girls about it and in a very sassy manner said YEAH IM GETTING IT NOW , so i told her ok im just letting you know because honestly i was concerned it wasnt coming out.. Ive now given it a couple tries and every time the food is extremely slow. It is not fast food by an means. The employees are extremely nice and caring this time I was the only person in there and still a chicken wrap took a while but Im fine as long as chicken is cooked fully. However despite their huge sign inside that says Nashville Hot Chicken, this is absolutely nothing like Hatty Bs or other true Nashville Hot Chicken. I had to try this place out for myself to see what it was all about.This had to be one of the best Nashville Hot chicken experiences Ive ever had, the #1 combo did not disappoint with the perfect amount of heat and flavor. It is made at order so there is a little bit of a wait but its well worth it for fresh, hot and delicious food. The portions are also very satisfying; I was barely able to walk out because I was so full. I look forward to trying other menu items, I will be back.

The sandwich is not Nashville hot chicken. I got the Sando sandwich at a level hot. It s spicy, but not intolerable spicy. The flavor is not Nashville hot chicken at all. It s more like a buffalo sauce thats more vinegary and a little spicier. On a positive note, the french fries were great in the service was okay.. All In I paid $18 for a sandwich fries and a drink and pretty disappointed by the outcome. As you can see from the picture, the coleslaw they say they put on the sandwich was extremely soggy, not fresh at all. Sad to say, I m still looking for a good Nashville hot chicken restaurant in this area, will not be going back.

The chicken here is absolute fire! I got a Chicken Sando and my girl got the Korean BBQ Nuggets and both were delicious. I love spicy food, but on an empty stomach I wasnt daring enough to sign the waiver for Angry Hot... but we did get a 6pc of Wings with their Hot flavoring (one below angry hot)... Needless to say my gf ate one and was done lol! The flavor was spectacular and the heat was intense! Id compare the heat level to wingstop Atomic level. My only knocks are the place is a little small, but seating was still comfortable. Also disappointed their ranch and blue cheese offerings were from a bottle and not made in-house, but those things werent enough to lose the 5 star rating. I would recommend this place to everyone who enjoys some spicy chicken! Great new spot for San Marcos!

It s a new place so I ll share a few more details than I normally would as I know I d want that info if I owned it. Pros: hot fresh food. Clean restaurant. Decent atmosphere. Awesome crispy waffle fries. Cons: $$$. There is little to no breading on the tenders. Basically bare chicken covered in pepper spice. The medium was actually pretty warm, but it would be awesome if there was breading. The sauce they give you is a single small container only half full. It s silly to not fill it. Also, no ketchup dispenser anywhere, so you have to get a bunch of packets. And last con, Pepsi products. Yuck. I ended up only eating half of it and tossing the rest.

Amazing customer service, the food was fresh and delicious, and not to mention spicy. Most places I go to that say theyre spicy dont actually live up to the expectation. If youre looking for a good chicken sandwich or maybe something for the spice lover in your life I highly recommend checking them out. I got the spicy Korean fried nuggets. FINALLY, legitimate Nashville Hot Chicken has come to San Marcos! I ordered the Hot chicken sandwich and it hit the spot. The hot has a nice kick to it, without being overbearing and uneatable. My experience with Nashville hot chicken is that if you are ordering a sandwich, you can take the heat level up a notch, the bread tends to balance out the heat. The chicken wings were horrible! Rubbery on the inside and too hard on the outside which indicates the grease was too hot. The coleslaw on the sandwich was soggy and not tasty at all. The loaded fries were ok but the fries were overtaken by everything else on them. Not a good ratio. First and definitely last time eating there. Very disappointing!

These chicken sandwiches are seriously delicious. I like pretty spicy food but ordered the medium for my first time. Plenty spicy! My wife had the mild and really liked it. Both of us were satisfied and will return. The fries we got could have been better. They are waffle fries (like Chick-**-*) but ours were over fried. Brown and stiff. Needed less time in the fryer perhaps.

Went to Investigate the new chicken joint here in San Marcos. And for a franchise, its not bad at all! Its deep fried, meaning I probably wont eat here that much, but the chicken was cooked perfectly, hot level is indeed hot, & the decor reminds me of a game of Angry Birds but in chicken form! I now know where to go when craving hot fried chicken in the 78666. Im a fan & hope they do well! In case youre wondering... Chicken was good, juicy and well cooked and the sauce that came with our meals was yummy. However, the chicken wasnt really that spicy. I got a medium combo 2 and my bf got a hot combo 1. He had to ask for more seasoning because his sandwich was milder than my strips. My chicken strips left my mouth tingling a bit, but it definitely wasnt hotter than youd think. We kept wondering if they gave us the wrong level of spice. I sort of hope so. A bit disappointing, especially since we paid $14 for each meal.

The chicken sandwich was good! But expensive, its like $11 for just the sandwich, it is bigger then chick filas, but not worth $11 , i also got the chicken strip combo which was a joke, $17 for 5 SKINNY strips, more like chicken sticks, and they had small fries and small drink, and ranch tasted expired, chicken was good tho. Fries werent. I dont understand why the quantity is so low, the chicken strip combo it worth $8-$10, not $17 crazyyyy, overall nice people! Good service, just expensive!!! Again, good chicken, bad fries, small everything for the price, and expensive. I dont like spending more than $15 on a meal, especially a kids meal, so Im not coming back unless prices are fixed.
