The theming here is on a Disney world level. The backstory, the hidden references to the owners families and childhood are amazing. We were there all alone about 7 on a Wednesday and happened to meet one of the owners, and to learn about so many story lines in the restaurant made it such a great evening walking through finding different items. The theming flows all the way through the bathrooms. Definitely a ton of work went into this passion project. We have visited trader Sam s in Orlando, 3 dots and a dash in Chicago, beachbum Barry s in NO and all of the tiki locations in Dallas, this is our personal favorite. With over 60 cocktails mixed in a shipwrecked way, you are transported to the islands in no time, and when you leave you forget you are in the middle of FT. Worth. Aikeem was captaining the bar when we were there and he transported us to a great island getaway with the great service. Jimmy Buffett sings a song that says I wanna go back to the islands and we love going to the islands but now we know when we can t get away to one of our favorite beaches, we can sneak down and get Shipwrecked in FW.

The ambiance and drinks were great, however, adding an automatic 20% gratuity to a party of 3 is weak. I hope our server was just too embarrassed to tell us this.

We absolutely loved the vibe of this place! Super cute little tiki bar theme and they have happy hour ALL day on sundays which I thought was cool. Our bartender Reagan was so attentive and made our drinks delicious. I was literally in awe (as a banana lover) the banana runtz was one of the best drinks i ve ever had.

Beware the bouncer/doorman!!! Im posting this incase anything happens in the near future. After quickly visually scanning our IDs, he then checked them again behind the podium; low and out of our sight. I assumed he needed light to get a better look, but It appeared he sat them down and was doing more than looking for our age or if they were real. It almost looked, by his hand actions, that he was taking a photo of them. He literally had our IDs back there, doing who knows what, for about 30-40 seconds, before returning them and buzzing us in. No ID should leave the sight of the owner like that. His Description: White/other, tall, thin build, long brown hair. Shipwreck was a great place, but the doorman, though pleasant, needs to be spoken to. I plan on speaking with the manager and possibly local law enforcement soon to inquire further.

This place is super cool. The atmosphere is amazing. It is so cozy and comfortable. A great place to beat the summer heat. The decor is on point. The drinks are tasty and the food is pretty good. Had the egg rolls. They seem to be store bought frozen, but still pretty tasty. The service is friendly but is lacking in my opinion. Our waitress was not present and we were forced to get up and find her multiple times when we needed something. Had we been attended to better, we would have stayed. For these prices, we shouldnt have had to serve ourselves. We went for dinner elsewhere.

Have to say the atmosphere is awesome. Didn t have an expectation walking in as we came from a bar down the road. The night lights and little personal lamps was very rustic in nature and really sold the experience. My lady commented on all the fun things to look at(such as the cool banana cups!). Carlos was our bartender and was very nice! Will come back when we re in town!

Oh my goodness! Coolest bar EVER! The bar is a ship, the large format cocktails tell a story (literally projected on the wall), the ground is an ocean, the booth seating is so romantic and secluded, the candles all over are flickering and add a unique vibe, the music is amazing and OH MY GOSH THE COCKTAILS!!!!!! The cocktails were 10/10! Syrups made in house and my first cocktail even came with a dolphin! If I m ever back in Texas, I ll be sure to pop in. Also - our bartender is so sweet and extremely knowledgeable (tiki/tropical cocktails and rums and EVERYTHING). Make sure to check out the bathroom too - feels like I m in a ship! Highly recommend!

This place is the BEST for me!! After a buzy and stressful day the place is therapeutic. The quiet calm energy. Mellow. If you match the energy it will only enhance your experience. Never had drinks like this ever. I usually do shots or straight liquor at most places because of the lack of drink menu but there is a curious variety in the drinks here. Fresh. Easy to drink. I cant say enough about this place. As I say most times for a place to get a review from me they were either very good or very bad. This place is very good!. I do only have one thing. The guy at the front doors attitude is NO reflection of the energy inside, i think i need to tip him or buy him a drink. The bartender on the other hand is knowledgeable about the drinks and the experience. Her energy compliments the place!

My friend and I came in on a Sunday night at 10:00PM. Cool place. Could use a little more light. Food was hot, tasted good. My problem is with the inadequate staff. Bartender can go to the back for 10 minutes and chat up with the coworkers all she wants, don t blame her when there is literally nobody else in the bar. What I don t appreciate is that instead of doing her job and bussing the table to notice the clearly placed $20 bill unfolded for her to pay for the total of $16 which included the $12 coconut shrimp, $4 Beer, and her 25% tip - she would rather profile me and tell the bouncer that I dined and dashed. Nobody else was in the bar, all she had to do to close the tab was her job. Could have checked the table first before you get the bouncer to come chase me 200+ ft and walk me back another 200+ ft so I can go pick up my $20 bill placed on the table and physically hand it to your bartender. Maybe if the place had a little more light this would not have been an issue.

Most unique bar in the West 7th district. The cocktails are truly an art and unlike any drink you ve had before if you have never had authentic Tiki-styled drinks. That bartenders are highly skilled and sociable. The atmosphere gives the illusion of being on an island with soft Caribbean music. Almost every drink comes with a different themed cup. Group drinks have a unique ~45 second cartoon video focusing on Captain Jeffrey Alexander that gets played related to the name of the drink (Sirens, Kraken, etc).

Ask about their happy hour menu and make sure to clarify. The menu says everything of Island brews is $4. I even asked about the top menu and they said it was 4.00. When I got my bill it was 7.00 per drink. When I brought it up they said it wasnt listed correctly and didnt do 4.00 they decided to give me 15% off my tab. Had I known I would have left after the 1st round. I will not be back.

We were very excited to try this bar. We were a party of 5 and love tiki bars. We made a reservation and were sat down and ignored for 20 minutes. No one greeted us or acknowledged our presence. The place really wasn t that busy and the service was incredibly slow. We decided to order two drinks immediately because we didn t know when we would get another chance. The drinks were ok, we have definitely had better (no fire so sad!). We were there over 2 hours and maybe were seen 3 times, we actually just walked up to the bar and ordered ourselves. But with this bad service we looked at our receipt and were charged 20% gratuity, and like I said we were only a party of 5. Maybe had 3 drinks tops a person. Loved the ambience of the place, hoping for a better experience for others.

Thos place is nothing like the pictures and there are no tables! Just some people on a small stage telling stories. They had fold out chairs in lines of 8 on 2 sides where the performers could walk in the middle! Worst money I spent this place is nothing like what the pictures are showing. Its in a long building that resembles an aircraft hangar and you can barely hear what theyre saying in the back. I thought the experience was ginna be alot different. I use to own a comedy club and its pretty much the same thing except they just tell fake stories of being pirates. Only good thing is they hand out drinks every 20 min and theyre alright and tbats the only reason they got the 1 star! Its cals3 advertisement from what they show on pictures and Facebook advertisement. But I guess of people are into the cosplay of being a pirate then I can see this being for them. Alot of people came dressed up. And if you like sitting in fold out chairs like youre at a church amd to hear some fake pirate stories then its fir you. I just expected different atmosphere and experience! I took my wife here on a date and we both agreed we would never spend the money to see this show again! The stories and actors werent even that good, as well! Good luck if you decide to do it. It was a waste of date night with my wife! Never again!

The ambiance is really cool, and the drinks are great! You can either get group drinks or individual ones. The group drinks are decently priced, but the individual ones are expensive. If you get a group drink, theyll play a short cartoon on the wall with a story that goes along with the drink theme. My one complaint is that it took about 15 mins to get a server to come over, and another 10 mins to get our drinks.

I saw this place on tik tok and fell in love. I wish we had that experience. We had a group of 4 and we had the drink Jade Island, it was good but it took far too long to order and once we did it took a while to get the drink. We didn t get the opportunity to order anything else as nobody ever checked on us after that once we did get someone else to the table he was very passive aggressive and didn t offer any apology for the service we very respectfully mentioned. He just simply said Cheers and walked away. I really wanted to love this place but we won t be back and we won t be recommending it to anyone. I would also add that we sat at the captains table and it was very difficult to drink the shared drink because the table was very high up and the booth seats were low, so we had to stand up in order to take a drink.

I absolutely love this place. If you like a bar that has a islander feel this is it. I will say due to volume you may have to Wait for seating. I love that about this place because it gives it an exclusive feel. I noticed it s a mid twenties and up crowd. I love that about this crowd was very mature and full of people that enjoy having an experience. I got the Morse Code cocktail. It s perfect if you like a spiced rum drink. I would highly suggest bringing a group of friends and sitting at their themed tables. Each table has its on decor for different parts of the world. Love the story in the menu of each chapter of the journey. They do serve cocktails that you can share with a group of people. Kind of like razoos but way more elegant. This seems like a great spot to have colleagues and coworkers come on the weekend as a treat! You gotta stop by! Parking: You can park behind the building but it does cost.

And it s beautiful. A full ship built inside the bar with projector mapping ocean scenes, changing motion sunset sky lighting, ocean floor with textured sand beaches and tiki huts and even a cave where the restrooms are. Every cocktail had balance and was delicious, with so many varieties and options! Even group cocktails and a story book for the journey. Y all, this is the place to visit in Fort Worth!!! Service was friendly, attentive. They re not a restaurant, but the snacks were perfect. Ok so my friends and I went here and hated it. We got individual drinks and a group drink that was like $30+, it was all ice and the little bit of alcohol that was in it, was awful. The servers/bartenders were all over the place and unorganized. We had like four or five different people come up to our table and try to get our drink order after the first person had already put it in. If you like tiki bars, you ll hate this. Far too well lit, giant open office-like room gives off themed school dance vibes. The menu had to be a dozen pages+ with no organization. Drink descriptions too lengthy. Decided on a pain.. kill..arr (pain killer). And that was not a pain killer. It was sour, my husband s drink was sour. There were also heavily scented candles across the bar top, and not tropical smells either, heavily scented calming types.. Also no urinals in the men s apparently? Just atrocious. Amazingly themed location with fantastic decorations and drinks. But the drinks are mostly ice. And the snacks are pretty generic. But its a very cool place, will definitely be coming back.

Overall for a soft opening visit I would say we had a good time at ShipWreck. I see a lot of improvement that could be done, especially in the cocktail department and hopefully this feedback and other s can help them grow. Upon walking in, you are greeted in a very small and well decorated nautical room with a large Treasure map which honestly gave a 10/10 escapism vibe. This is where they determine if you are a walk in or have a reservation. The main bar is hidden until they walk you in. As you enter the main bar, it is VERY bright. I understand this is because of the projection mapping they use on the walls. It directly conflicts with the actually well executed buildouts of the booths bordering the walls which is where we were sat. The booths have a good view of the ship-bar which has wrecked against a cave where the bathrooms are located. I really enjoyed the attention to detail on their mini-fridges as it looked like stained glass from an old ship. However, again conflicting is the fake palm tree pillars and plastic solar torches that take away from the better detail of the ship-bar and rattan stools. It gives a feeling of two different bars and visions combined into one. Plus, instead of floatsam/jetsam displayed in the booths it was more surf/Hawaiian décor than anything else. The music was also all over the place, and would change to some sort of hand drawn animated pirate cartoon on the projection whenever a specific drink was ordered but it was difficult to hear. We made a reservation on a Friday night at 9:30pm and were seated immediately. At first, we had great service with people coming to check on us every time a drink looked low or a glance towards the bar or menu was made. But as it got busier, that service significantly slowed down and took a while to close our tab at the end of the night. Plus, they got our tab wrong initially. They re still in soft open so this was no big deal to us and I feel the bartenders were doing a great job all things considered with a smile on their face. The menu itself helps tell the story of the Shipwreck and follows the theme, however it s also my biggest gripe. None of their descriptions in the cocktail menu actually list out the ingredients. They leave vague notes of what it should be, not what s truly in it. I see this being a big issue not only for allergies but also for determining which drink to go with. In example, the first drink I ordered was the Saturn which I know the tried and true recipe but other guests may not. Their description is that they ve barely adapted this classic gin based tiki cocktail for an out of this world tropical flavor . So how exactly did they adapt it? Tell me what makes it different then. Again, touching on the above I m going to say they ll need to do a bit of work in the cocktail department. We ordered a Saturn, Morse Code, PainKillARR, and Surfin Bird. The Saturn was the best out of all of them, but still tasted way off to us. The only thing I can guess is that they are either not fresh squeezing the juices, or they are using syrups from Monin instead of making their own syrups/using higher grade syrups like Liber & Co or Liquid Alchemist. Their choices in rum seemed to be up to par but every drink we had tasted too sweet, unbalanced, and chemically fake if that makes sense. The Surfin Bird, which I thought was their take on a Jungle Bird, had the oddest flavor. Definitely no Campari in it from what I could tell. With cocktail prices ranging from $12-$18 I am not sure if Tikiphiles will give them a pass in this department. Their drinks might appeal better to the walk-in weekend party crowd. The bathrooms were immaculate and well designed. Actually, the bathrooms gave better escapism than the bar because of the cave they are built in! Parking was ample in random nearby lots but a bit of a walk. Parking: The parking lot to the north of Chimys was the most easily accessible and free, with a very short walk.

Literally nothing special about his place. Drinks are overpriced, and there is nothing to do here but sit in a booth???? if this is all it takes to open a bar is to go to party city pick a theme and sell drinks. At least junk punch and other near by places have something to do.

Had a wonderful experience! Recommend to anyone who needs a nice escape from the city vibe for an hour or two. Drinks are fantastic and the menu has a fun story for everything you want to drink. We had bartenders Zach and Akeem and they absolutely bleed customer service! Very knowledgeable and patient to answer questions. The bartenders consistently checked on us to make sure we were satisfied or needed anything. Definitely will be back after long work week or a need for time away! Thanks guys!

Lucky number 10!!! Came here cause we re tiki nerds. Fun spot. Rear projection Mapes wall, glowing ceiling, etc. has massive potential. Needs a bit more depth for the projections to mark the illusion. To be fair in a magician and I make animatronics for universal so I m harsh. All in all. It s a great experience in Fort Worth. We ll be back!!!

Lol they forced me to spent 17$ on a drink I returned. Please don t go to this place unless you understand that even if you return your drink, you will still pay for it not worth it. Update: I updated my rate to 3 stars but I do still think they have some things to work on obviously but it will take time. It has great potential but making sure you have the best people that know great customer service is essential to a business.

I recommend everyone swing by this location! For any occasion meeting with friends, or hanging with family, or maybe even just a night away from the world and the kiddos! A welcoming environment and and even more accommodating staff. You won t be disappointed in the time spent here under the sea. A solid 10 out of 5 stars in my opinion, but don t take my word for it. Go and enjoy this oasis on your own and let the lost at sea atmosphere take you from your normal day to day routine and enjoy yourself at Shipwreck!

Absolutely amazing cocktails in a super immersive place. I got all my drinks in the Non-Alchoholic version too! Dietary restrictions: The menu says it s Dairy & Egg free Parking: Parking is limited right up close, but it has street parking and is in a larger lot, with a lot of parking options in the area.
