We hosted our wedding reception at Oak Hill in February. Oak Hill offers competitive event packages, but we were looking to add our own special touches and were allowed to bring in outside vendors for catering, decor and entertainment. Do note for any beverages, they require the use of their bar, but did allow us to put special parameters around the service/menu and we were very happy with how the bar service turned out! Ms. Alba in the main office was so helpful and took the time to answer our questions as we coordinated the event. The bartenders were awesome, and we appreciated the service they provided to our guests. The venue was spacious, provided heaters for the colder weather and had plenty of parking. We got some beautiful photos on the grounds, and the lights in the trees were perfect for when it got dark. We leaned into the style of the venue, going for more of a Spanish hacienda vibe with the decor, and it really highlighted how unique and pretty Oak Hill is! It is worth exploring this venue and their offerings if you are looking for a large, outdoor, hacienda style event space in the Harlingen/San Benito area that is competitively priced and beautiful!

Oakhill is a fantastic place to hang with friends and family outdoors. OAKHILL has heaters in the winter and fans to cool off in the warm days of summer . DJ. GTO Joe Palacios and his wife Yolanda are the best hosts anyone could have. Dancing to the oldies. Oldies Wednesday. 7 to 12. Twist and Shout! Yes! Love it!

Even thought it is a beautiful place to hold an event, it is very difficult to walk in high heels because of the uneven brick walkway, it is very dangerous, I hurt my ankle and eventually took off my shoes, I was very unhappy about it.

This place is truly a hidden gem right smack in the middle of San Benito. The owners are such gracious hosts, we danced night away. The big Oak tree is the focus of the venue and the dance floor wraps around it. Night lights everywhere really illuminated the atmosphere! Highly recommended

The location and venue is very nice but the service was not worth it. The DJ refused to interact with the guests or announce the bridal party for the presentation. Beware because cake cutting is not included in an already pricy package. The venue does not allow BYOB. When choosing menu, we agreed to Monterrey Chicken that would include cheese & avocado. We received chicken breast in a ketchup based sauce. We also paid for champagne but did not receive it. Would not recommend again.

Was looking for a venue for my daughter xv, after searching high and low I ran into this place. I met the owner of the house and is a wonderful lady who made me feel like we was family. I dont have pics to share until December, but the venue is beautiful. We made the reservation at the haringen office where we had a chance to further customize our event, table linens, center piece, colors, even a good selection of food if you need it catered.

The Venue is very pretty, I attended a wedding and the service and decor was extremely poorly arranged. The table covers in all the tables needed ironing stat and the table wear was cheap plastic (may have been what was chosen for the event ). The salad was being served from an occupied guest table out of a prepackaged salad bag,. 3 out of 7 people got all their utensils at my table . All in all place is very pretty but the quality of the service needs work.

This was the worst experience Ive ever had dealing with a rental venue. We used the venue to celebrate a family birthday. An employee shut down the kitchen at 8 pm and locked us out. She would not let us serve our guest who were coming in late. She had no explanation other than those were the rules. We provided the food ourselves and did the serving. I dont understand what was her issue since we still had the venue for 4 more hours. They ran out of toilet paper in the restrooms and would not refill them and there was no hot water in the kitchen to wash dishes.The employee, who mentions that she is the daughter-in-law of the owners, had a very bad additude and was rude to guests. While cleaning the kitchen, she barged in and removed beverages from guests that were cleaning and discarded of them even though they were purchased from the bar. I would stongly refrain from renting this venue until changes are made. We are from the area and were very dissapointed with the disrespectful treatment.
